View Full Version : Pokemon Where You Live...
Shroomish

This was an old thread at the other forum. I liked it and thought I'd bring it back here. :)
If Pokemon were real, what kind would live in you're area? (Meaning like walking distance from your house.) Also, you can tell if they'd be rare or common.
I have a few...
Geodude - This would be very common. Every kid in my street would own one. It's extremly rocky up in the mountains behind my house.
Shroomish - In the fall, there are tons of dry leaves and Shroomish's main source of food is dry leaves. :P They might only migrate here in fall though, so I'll say they'd be rare.
Ekans and Seviper - Lots of snakes in the weeds here.
Teddiursa and Ursaring. - Lots of bears in the mountains.
Caterpie, Weedle, Venonat, Wurmple, Ledyba, Spinarak and evos - Lots of bugs here... But, I don't think anything like Scyther or Pinsir would be found around here for some reason.
That's pretty much it for me.. Might be a few Goldeen in the creek, though.

Hmmm, a good idea shroomish....
I live across the road from a bushland reserve XD I would be set.
Bugs- All of em, there are lots in the bushland, so heracross and butterfree would be common.
Rocks- Nosepass, Geodude, they would all live at this rocky place nearby my house.
Reptiles- We would have a few. Mainly snakes and lizards (think ekans.)
Birds- Birds too, trees would house them happily.
Fish- Hehehehe, i would even have water pokemon in walking distance (creek in reserve). Turtles reside in the creek, as to many fish. I would have Magikarp, Mudkip and Squirtle coming outta my ears XD
Shame they don't exist.
I live a few blocks from my city's largest mountain...O_O;
Well, there's a river there, so probably lots of Poliwag, Spearows and Pidgeys would be VERY common here...
Lucky me, there are TONS of preying mantis's in my backyard
So scyther would be added here...
There are also a lot of raccoons, zigzagoon would also be common.
Mightyena's would walk past my door everyday, since coyotes are abundant in México.
Because the mountain is pretty dangerous and rocky, geodudes would love it there, as well as Absol's...
Pinsir would be in the list also -brushes beetle off shoulder-
By the way, great idea for a thread!

I live in a quiet community that really comes alive at night. So Pokemon around my house or walking distance around my house would consist of Ghost, Psyhic, and Electric Pokemon like Misdreavus, Gastly, Haunter, Kadabra, Espeon, Magnemite, and Elekid. Those are the Pokemon that would be around in my neighborhood. That is, if they were real...

Nice topic oO
I think I would live in a country with lots and lots of mountains, waterfalls...
And between the mountains, little cities and towns. That would be great ^^, reminds me of Switserland.
Pokemon:
All dog-type pokemon would be running freely between the trees.
Grasstypes like chikorita and some rare scizors that nobody can catch :p
Firetypes in caves in the mountains
Watertypes in the lakes and rivers
...
Wouldn't that be heaven?

I live near the beach and the forest.
Here would be a LOT of Pokémons, since theres a forest and a beach/sea :P
In the forest: All kind of bugs, maybe there evolves, Butterfree, Beedrill, Scryther etc. Maybe some Bulbasaurs.
In the sea/beach: Staryu, Squirtle and other sea Pokés, like Mantine and Tentacool.
I think Wingull would be here too.

Hmm, Growlithe would live around here, since it's always warm, and my town has a lot of stray dogs. All sorts of Bug Types would live here, and probably rock Pokémon as well. And we would have a stock of water and grass Pokémon, since we have both elements present.

Hmm, Ekans, Seviper, Zigzagoon, Wurmple, Caterpie, Weedle, Sudowoodo, Squirtle (we have a lot of turtles) in teh woods. Some of the evos, tho not a lot (think about it, they don't evolve often in the anime, why would there be massive amounts of evos if they were real?) I'd say some Treeko, and VERY rare Charmander (in the summer). No Charizard and even rarer Charmeleon. I'd prolly say a Blastoise or two would rule the woods, just cuz, well, I don't see many munsters bigger than Arbok being good enough to take it down.
Hoppip and some evos in my front yard (lots of dandelions). Pidgey and evos everywhere, along with Tailow and Swellow.

Cool, guys. ^_^ Glad you like the thread. =P
Anyway, I kind of forgot some. ^_^;;
There would be alot of Murkrow here too seeing as how crows are all over the place.
Miltank, Tarous, Spoink/Grumpig, and Ponyta/Rapidash would also be common due to the number of farms around here. (Maybe Pidgey as well? *Shrug*)
Oh yeah and Ice types in the winter. Glad someone brought that up, I forgot about that.

Cool thread.
Pleanty of Pidgey, And especially Murkrow! (Grakles EVERYWHERE!)
Squirrels are in abundance, so pleanty of Sentret. Stray cats hang around my house, so skitty/meowth. It's quite hot hear in the summer (I'm in Texas), and cactus sometimes grow, so Cacnea. Lots of geckos, so Treecko! Beedrills would be everywhere in spring, because of all the mountain laurel. The pecan trees swarm with silk worms, so there'd be Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple would be in aboundance. Lots of fireflies and junebugs, so lots of Illumises, Volbeat, and pinsir! Ducks, ducks, ducks, so Psyducks, Psyducks, Psyducks! (In fact our team mascott is the duck -.-") Pleanty of weeds and wildflowers, so Oddish, and Bellossosm! And I think my attic is hounted! BAH! things that go bump in the night! >.>:

Since when was Geodude, Shuckle and Chimecho objects...?
Since Geodude's a rock, Shuckle's mold, and Chimecho's a wind chime(my mom'll never stop buying them). Plus some of the Pokemon on the list are pretty much the same animal like Sentret and Zigzagoon are racoon, Meowth and Skitty are house cats.....

Well, in my immediate area, there's sugarcane fields,pastures , forests, and a couple of oxidation ponds and ditches. So that offers alot of possibilities for pokemon habitats, if they existed ^^;
For the ponds- Squirtles, most definitely (I see turtles sunning themselves on logs often there), various types of fish pokemon, possibly several members of the totodile line.
Ditches- lots of corphish, and maybe a seviper (closest thing I can think of compared to a water-dwelling snake, as Ekans is more of a rattlesnake).
Fields- maybe sandshrews (I guess they resemble armadillos...), poochyenas, stray meowths and growlithes.
Forests- Mostly unknown, but signs of stantlers, various bird and reptile-types (most likely the taillow and treeko lines)
Pastures- Tauros and miltanks

near my house: city
walking distance: 2 parks
5 minute drive: beach w/ sewer treatment plant
hour drive: mountains
hour 1/2 drive: desert
2-3 hr drives: numerous national forests
the only thing i don't have within reasonable distance is a volcano. therefore, i would probable have numerous different types of Pokemon where i live. woohoo!

I live in an up and coming city filled with every terrain imaginable except mountains.
Within a 5 minute walk however... Miltanks, Tauros, Meowths, Growlithes, Skittys, Abras and all those other city/farm types would flourish. I also live next to a woodland area, so bugs and birds of all shapes and sizes would be easy to catch. No snakes though. England is pretty poor when it comes to wild reptiles.

I live by a lot of trees and a 5-minute away bay, so as you can imagine, I would have bugs comin' out of my nose. There's also a small forest next door.
Trees/Forest
Caterpie,Weedle,Wurmple,Ledyba,Spinarak,Venonat,Od dish,Paras,Ect.:Up my nose
Kakuna,Metapod,Silcoon,Cascoon:Moderately common
Butterfree,Beedrill,Beautifly,Dustox:Once or twice a month

Feebas:Almost never
Marill,Wailmer,Tentacool,Surskit,Wooper,Psyduck,Kr abby,Ect.:They're everywhere!
Above's evolved forms:Every now and then I'll snag one.
Around My House
Skitty:Can't take a step without seeing one
Delcatty:My pet cat
So, as you can see, I'd have a ton of pokemon.
thepokingmaster123
11-23-2004, 04:26 PM
I'd mostly have scythers and yanmas concidering that I live in a scattered-in-a-forest city which the pokemon wold need speed to run through to get aroung the plentiful pieces of forests. Also, Grimers would be common concidering that the little creek near the town IS the main sewer line!
By the way, did anyone notice the time gap between posts 24 and 25 (over 7 months). My god, that's what I call a revival.
