The ITEMFINDER

This is probably a stupid question. A really stupid question. But I'm going to ask it anyway.

How do you use the ITEMFINDER? I know how to use it in the sense that I can make it go "Ding ding ding! An item is near!" Or whatever it says. But how do I find the actual item and pick it up? I've been wandering around pressing A for the past ten minutes. :goofy:

Sorry if this is a repeat question or incredibly annoying. I've googled it and looked through a million walkthroughs - I guess it's a question with too simple an answer to need explaining!

Well, you will turn in the direction the item is. For example, you turn and face downward, take once step downward, the use it again and you turn to the left, you go to the left. Follow it and it'll lead you to the item. If you don't turn at all, but the message says you there is one close by, is that you're already facing the direction ^_^ Hope I helped.

That did help! But how do you pick the item up? Press A? I've been in one situation where it said "There is an item right under foot!" And I couldn't pick the item up!

Well, you can't be ontop of the item to pick it up with A but yes, you do you A to pick the item up, if it says "There is an item right under your foot" then get off that spot, turn to it and press A. ^_^ Don't worry, took me a while to understand the Itemfinder too.
