i got photo shop last night (at about 1.30am :susp: ) and made my first 2 sigs on it.

i figure i'd post them up see what you guys think of them...

http://img211.echo.cx/img211/737/danisigcopy8qe.jpg - this one is me and dani, the first one i made, just experimenting with the fonts, brushes and back ground affects. the image doesnt really set into the back ground but hey common... this was my first attempt at it.

http://img211.echo.cx/img211/7462/sig22hg.jpg - this is my fave starter pokemon, again the images dont settle in to great, i havent mastered that yet, and again i was just experimenting with font settings and affects for the back ground.

i'll be reading the tutorials in this page, but hey what you think for first attempts?

Not bad, I liked the first one, better than MY first attempt. Well, me and you, we both lack some good fonts too XD

yeah i need to download some better fonts, the standard ones remind me of the fonts you get in word

If you want some more fonts, dafont (http://dafont.com/en/) has quite a lot of good ones, if I ever need any, that's where I get them from. Nice work BTW

1001fonts.com (Or something like that) is much better =D

Hmm...they are ok for your first sigs. Keep practicing and you'll get better.

If you want some good brushes I suggest going to deviantart.com. Or, as ssk keeps begging us to do, you can make your own brushes. There are many tutorials for that and a lot of other things at pixel2life.com

Yeah, pretty good for first PhotoShop attempts, even if you just made them to get used to the tools and the like. Keep practicing and you'll get a lot better; Thanatos was maning amazing signatures within 1-2 weeks of getting Photoshop.

Nice background effect, and good use of filters for the first attempt, Dani. (At least, I think you've used filters...)

Photoshop is easy once you know where everything is =P

Check out some tutorials, that will show you most basics, and then you can go and do more and more.

lol, no filters, I don't know what those are XP I just used a rose shaped brush and layered it up at ont end, thinning out at the other. I thought it made a very nice cloudy sunset look ^_^

muahahhahah I have it ingrained into your brain!

deviantart should work, but, you have to be careful. Many people simply point you there, and do nothign else. you have to go to the resources seciton. From there, there are loads of brushes. Some are pretty bad though. Explore for yourself

and murr, the most recent banner is much better. work on the lefthand side text though. The layer style seems kind of dull. I realize the right-hand side is probably the same layer style, but because its more concentrated, it doesn't look as dull.

try experimenting with the trendy stuff. But be sensible. I'm tired of seeing one pixel lines *covers up the right side of his own sig*

http://img233.echo.cx/img233/2117/random7bn.jpg - i have no idea how i made this, i pressed some random buttons and this appeared so i quickly added my name to it, and took the credit for it.... i think i impressed Daniella with it...

Not bad Murr. You can tell they are your first attempts. But they are good for what they are.

EDIT: Woops, I tottaly missed those last ones. I love the one with the flowery thing in it.

I like the brush on the last two. What is it and where did you get it?
