Catching Latios in Ruby

So I've beaten the elite four about a million times now, and have come across Latios once. I tried to switch pokemon and he fled.

How rare is it to come across him? Do you get a second chance after he flees, or will he not show up again? If you k.o him, does he ever appear again?

Just wondering!

If you have already seen it, it will be recorded on the dex, and you can see where it is. It changes locations, so itll take time to get it. If you faint it, it wont come back, but you can lower the hp a little.

when you use your pokedex to see where latias is have a wobbofet with shadow tag ability in the front of your party so latias cant exscape so youll have all the time in the world..... until he dies.....then you got to it all over.

To find it easier, you don't have to fly from the one town to the other!Try to follow it with the bicycle!:wink:

no you can just catch him faster if your on the bike. because most of the time if you fly to the spot he's at he would of already been gone, but if you ride the bike in the direction he's going you have a better chance to catch him.

well instead of just chasing.....if you go to a building in the wilderness( ie Safari Zone) go in there get out check your pokedex, keep doing that until you see that latios is at your route or the one beside you then go there and just put repel on and run around

Lol! That's funny y'know, because Latios is able to fly faster than a jet and yet, you can't catch him when you're flying, which is like 20times faster than a bicycle, but of course you can catch it at a much slower pace! :crackup:

The way I did was by using the Master Ball, I wasn't dumb enough to use it on every other Legend

Here's a hint, if you're trying to find Latias/Latios the first time, use a Max Repel, and search anywhere between Route 118 and Lilycove City, because they never go anywhere else

Flying really doesn't work..It goes anywhere and also latios only changes its position when you change routes, go into buildings or fly.
So chasing it down with a bike will just make it go farther and you probably don't want to go check your dex every 5 seconds

I like to use the routes that connect to another route (like how left from Lilycove/right from Fortree; cities with more than one route connection are nice as well.

well it flees automatically to the next route when you chase it but if you fly it appears somewhere farther from you and randomly....but I caught latios doing the safari trick
