What pokemon should help me beat him in emerald? in ruby, I always used electrike but that does seem to be working this time around. So who should I get?

I usually went with Marshtomp/Swampert and Mud Shot against him, but obviously that wouldn't work if you chose a different starter. It could help if you got some Ground moves, but they're very uncommon for that stage in the game. To be honest, it's much easier to just level up your Pokemon as much as possible instead of hunting down a certain type.

well i chose torchic because its more helpful in the long run but my aron know mud slap,but that would help against magnamite/magneton beacause of their levitate ability. ill just try to level up aron as much as possible as use the torchic evolution on the rest.

i pick mudkip then use mudshot on wattson's pokemon

Use Torchic's fire moves to bring down magnemite/magneton.
then use Aron's ground moves to bring down the rest.
P.S, get them at a decent level first

Well I'm an over trainer and usually get blaziken lvl 40 before I face him
but Blaziken pwns that gym
Fire or fight agains the magne mite/ton
and STAB moves against Voltorb also owns too
if you have torchic then the only gym you'll have to worry about is 8 which is easily beatable by Manectric alone

thats what i did to beat him but i had to use combusken to beat manetric. thx
