Well, first of all, here are the Pokemon that you will need:
Castform around level 42, with rain dance, mystic water, and weather ball. This is optional, since it only serves to weaken Groudon.
Dusclops, any level, with the levitate ability.
some random filler Pokemon
You will also need:
around 10 revives
some hyper potions
at max, 55 ultra balls
--------------------------
now, to catch it, start off with Castform, and use rain dance, which effectively weakens Groudon's fire blast to become easily manageable. Then, one weather ball should put it right there in the red zone. If you don't have a Castform, or have another Pokemon that can put it easily in the red, then use that.
Next, switch into Dusclops. Because it's ghost type, and because of levitate, the only attack that should be able to hit Dusclops is fire blast, which only has 5 PP. When Dusclops faints after a Fire blast, revive him, and send him out again until all the fire blasts are used up. Then, just keep chucking ultra balls until the Groudon is caught. You only need around 55 ultra balls, because bulk up, slash, earthquake, and fire blast combined, only have 55 PP. when those are all used up, Groudon will likely kill itself using struggle.
Good Luck!
By the way, I had the worst luck with my Groudon. I caught it, was too lazy to check it's IV's right away, so I defeated Wallace first, and saved. Turned out my Groudon's IV's are
HP= 27-28 =D
Attack= 5-6 -.-
Defense= 12-13 ...
Sp. Atk= 0-2 ='(
Sp. Def= 25-26 =)
Speed= 7-8 =|
Unlucky, huh? especially since it's quiet, and it has 0-2 Sp. Atk IV's. Oh well. I hope I do better with Rayquaza.
