*sigh* My friend "accidently" sent me the elitum.elitebar virus, and I really have no idea how to get rid of it. I've tried using spybot, symantec antivirus, ad-aware SE, and other programs. I've searched and all I got are complicated solutions that my computer-illiterate mind doesn't understand. Does anyone know anything about this? Or better yet, know how to get rid of it?

err, try downloading Avast! anti-virus... seeing that is is a virus =P it's worked wonders on my pc, who knows.

I prefer the AVG antivirus 7.0 . It detects any virus, just download the update before scanning.

Edit: I tried doing what that page that mana gave me said to do, and oddly enough, where it says to delete certain files in the registry, those files weren't there. =/ Well, one of them was. (And yes, I went through that entire list.) I ran spybot again, and Elitum.Elitebar still comes up. =/
