I'm pretty sure you'll lose it if you restart. Trading with a friend and then having them mix records with you after you restart would be the best bet. I remember at the event I went to for the EON ticket that they said you can only trade it a certain number of times. So you'll probably want to mix records with a friend who doesn't mix records very often.

Dunno for sure. The Aurora ticket is worse -- you can't trade it by mixing records, and you just plain lose it if you restart. Depends on how brave you want to be... I'd try on somebody else's game and see if he trades it to them first.

There was an event where Nintendo came to ToysRUs stores when R/S came out. If you brought your game with, they linked to your game, mixed records and then gave you instructions on how to get the ticket from Norman.
If you weren't ready, or didn't bring your game, they gave you a ticket folder so you could scan the ticket with an e-reader later. I managed to get a few tickets at the event, and later I got a whole stack of them that were headed into the garbage at ToysRUs. No kidding, they were throwing about 20 of them away!
So mine were free.
Some people got them from Nintendo Power, I think, but I don't know anything about those tickets.
I know people sell them on ebay, but I'm just saving mine.
