Best way to catch Rayquaza w/o masterball in emerald

Can sombody give me a hint or steps, the best way to get it withoug using my masterball...

Bring about 40 ultra balls then 40 timer balls, weaken it to red health and give it a status problem that doesn't hurt it(Paralyz, freeze, Sleep)
If you have a charizard teach it dragon claw that way you wil have the advantage and the yayquazza won't. Hope it helps.

Make Rayquaza sleep, Whittle it's Hp to Red, then use Ultra Balls. They do the work mostly. =)

I remember when i caught him it took like 7 ultra balls while he was sleeping with low yellow hp.

bring 40 ultraballs,,,, if u have swampert,,, teach it ice beam it will help you a lot in catching rayquaza...

I only Masterball Mewtwo. I keep it in bag when in Hoenn.

All others get blasted by Swellow's Endeavor after fighting a bunch of Carvanha/Sharpedo to get Swellow in the red. I usually lead with Raichu's Thunder Wave for those not Groudon. For Groudon, I usually lead with and put it to sleep with a Yawn from Slaking.

Magneton is my second for Rayquaza after Swellow has Endeavored. Magneton uses Thunder Wave. And if Rayquaza used Fly, then I use TWave again.

I always used to save my masterball for the Latios or Latias, cause Im just lazy.

Usually I'd take about 50 or 60 timer and ultra, just to be sure, I'd try and red health it then status it with sleep.

Saving your masterball for Latios/Latias is a wise decision actually, because without it, you just keep on tracking it on the map and even if you capture it, its not a guarantee that it'll have good IVs, so its best to save the masterball for them, as well as Entei/Raikou/Suicune, pokemon that flee basically.
