Prologue
"Wh-Where am I?!" Skywatcher yowled. he was somewhere. not Starclan. Mist surrounded him everywhere.A small black tom came out of the mist and looked at skywatcher.

"I've been waiting,"The cat meowed,"to talk to you. Your camp-your home-SkyClan shall fall again. an even bigger threat than the rat attack is coming closer. Blood couldn't rule the forest. But blood shall rule Sky."

"Never!"Skywatcher hissed back defiantly. He pounced on top of the mysterious cat, but the cat easily slipped out and swiped Skywatcher's neck. Skywatcher yowled in pain. He felt as if the pain would never stop.The small tom only purred.

"Mouse-brain. Has firestar never told you of me? Sad. Well, you never told him about the rats."The tom purred again.

As the small cat approached Skywatcher, Skywatcher saw that the small cat's claws were dog claws. Skywatcher closed his eyes, waiting for the enemy to strike.

"Stop! Don't you dare!"yelled a Ginger tom. The small tom turned around to see the new cat.

"You!"The small tom mewed angrily.

"We'll take back Skywatcher back if you don't mind,"The ginger tom said calmly.

"Fine,"The small tom said angrily, and added as the twocats were walking away,"but don't forget what I told you."

"Although from different worlds, Ice and Cold shall save Sky, before blood destroys it."The Ginger tom called back.With that, they left.

A paw started to jab at Iceclaw's side while he was sleeping. He woke up to see Goldenpelt was the one who was jabbing him.

"Wake up, you stupid furball,"Goldenpelt joked,"Wer'e on the hunting patrol."

"Fine, just let me fetch Duskpaw."Iceclaw mewed back.He walked over to the apprentices den, to find that Duskpaw wasn't there.

"He's picking ticks out of the elders, hope you don't mind."Weaselstar mewed, padding up to him.

"No problem, I was just looking for a fourth in the hunting patrol."He mewed back.

"I'll come,"she mewed,"I haven't gone hunting in ages!"

Iceclaw nodded. he walked over to Goldenpelt and told her where Duskpaw was.

"Huh.Dawnpaw is out looking for herbs for Mosspelt."Goldenpelt mewed.

"We have Weaselstar with us, and Badgerclaw is on the Dawn patrol,"Iceclaw spotted Flareclaw and padded up to her,"Up for a hunting patrol?"

Flareclaw looked back at Iceclaw."No thanks. I have to speak to Mosspelt."

Iceclaw nodded. He walked over to Goldenpelt and Weaselstar.

"Looks like it's just the three of us."Weaselstar commented.Iceclaw nodded and they headed out.


Iceclaw opened his mouth and almost immediately scented mouse. Dropping into the hunter's crouch, he crawled quietly to the mouse, which was nibbling at a seed. Iceclaw pounced and with a swift bite to the throat he caught his victim. He walked back to the group and saw that Weaselstar had caught a squirrel and Goldenpelt a vole.

"Your'e too slow!!"Goldenpelt teased.

"Quit acting like a kit and scaring off all the prey,"Iceclaw mewed, with a hint of amusement in his voice.

"Your'e just jealous,"Goldenpelt replied.

Suddenly, Iceclaw detected a new scent. Shadowclan! He turned around to see three shadowclan cats.

"Leave. this is our territory now."the cat replied.

"That's what you think!"Goldenpelt screeched, her neck fur rising,baring her teeth.

"The warrior code tells us not to kill other cats unless necessary. But when I'm finished with you, you'd have wished you were with starclan."Weaselstar threatened.

"We'll kill you right now!"one of the cats threatened.Weaselstar didn't move.

"Shut up, Nightpaw,"one of the warriors threatened,"Or you'll go to sleep with a belly full of twoleg rubbish."

Nightpaw became silent. ShadowClan looked as if they were ready to kill. Then, the ShadowClan leader appeared.

"Leave."She told her warriors. They went back with tails drooping;Iceclaw guessed they wanted to fight.

"Weaselstar, I need to speak to you,"she mewed,"Alone."she added with a flick of her tail toward Iceclaw and Goldenpelt.

"Go back to camp,"Weaselstar ordered.

"But-" Goldenpelt started to say.

"NOW!"Weaselstar hissed.

Goldenpelt left with Iceclaw, feeling crestfallen. They hunted a bit more and caught a sparrow and a two more mice. When they got back to camp, Badgerclaw padded toward them.

"Where's Weaselstar?"Badgerclaw asked.

"She's talking to the ShadowClan leader,"Iceclaw mewed.

"Privately,"Goldenpelt added, a bit crestfallen.

Badgerclaw nodded."Go get something to eat, and go to bed."

Iceclaw nodded. Iceclaw and Goldenpelt went to the fresh-kill pile and shared a rabbit.

"Hey, Goldenpelt,Iceclaw!"Dawnpaw called as she went to join them, with her brother Duskpaw trailing behind her.

"Come and eat with us, have a mouse." Goldenpelt picked up a mouse and put it in front of Dawnpaw. Iceclaw looked at Duskpaw.

"The clan needs to be fed first,"Duskpaw said thoughtfully,"I can wait."

"They already have. you can eat."Iceclaw mewed to Duskpaw. Duskpaw nodded and got a sparrow.

Iceclaw went to sleep right after he ate, with Goldenpelt next to him. He quickly fell asleep...

He opened his eyes. he saw an old cat looking at him.

"Hello,who are you?"Iceclaw mewed nervously. The old cat looked at him with a stranbge look.

" Although from different worlds, Ice and Cold shall save Sky, before blood destroys it." The old cat said.

"Excuse me?" Iceclaw asked.the old cat started to fade away leaving Iceclaw alone..."No,Don't go..."

Iceclaw woke up. He looked around, expecting to see the old cat again. Instead, he was alarmed when he heard a screech outside. He went outside to see a miracle.

"Ha! Did ya miss me?!" A black pelted tom called out. It was Dusttail, a tom that was part of the clan and supposedly thought dead after A twoleg grabbed him and many others and were sucked into a monster. With him was Leafpelt, Moonpaw, Birdsong, Heatedheart, Sparrowfur, Hawkfeather, Juniperpaw, and Sunpaw. With them, was another, gray tom.

"I need your help!" The gray tom called out,"My clan is in trouble."
