What would be a good team for a beginner?

I personally cant make an opinion, since my starter is just swaped by a surskit at the beggining of the fame, i never really use them just to fill the dex......

Thebest team is your beloved team.

But for begin I've catched....
A wurmple,evolves quickly,at the beginning is very good.
A zigzagoon,Pick Up ability is very useful.
Maybe Nincada,Compoundeyes raises the chances of enemy's held item.

These are my ideas,because i like these pkmn.

I look at the elite fours types:
Sydney-Dark
Phoebe-ghost
Glacia-ice/water
Drake-Dragon
Wallace-water

then look at there weaknesses and put together a team.

This is my team so far..

Blaziken, Grumpig, Wailord, Flygon, and Magneton.

That's a tough debate on which starter, I always go with a Torchic and provide backups. The Beautifly/Dustox (from Wurmple or if you catch a Silcoon/Cascoon) is an excellent backup for the Torchic. If you raise your Tochic to level 16 and then take on Roxanne after evolving it, Combusken has double kick. THe Treecko/Mudkip are also excellent and quick to raise in taking on Roxanne.

sorry again if this is an obvious question but when can you trade from fire red and leaf green to emerald? i haven't passed the elite four i just got the game i kind of need help on it i traded all my pokemon to my friend and he didn't trade back! again sorry if this is an obvious question.

I'm very sure you need to beat the Elite 4 in order to trade outside of Emerald, IE to trade from Rudy/Sapphire, Red/Green, and Pokemon Colosseum are all tradeable once you win over Elite 4, and you also get, if you have 200 Pokemon caught/evolved the National Pokedex.

This is from the booklet of Emerald from the game to my understanding. I also tried for trades, but no luck. I so wanted the Meditite on my journey, not that Breloom wasn't bad, but wasn't quite the same in taking on Norman with Machop/Breloom on the team.

Me? well i...start with Mudkip, get a Ralts with trace, catch more Ralts, pick the one with the best nature and ability and...wallah! then after that i catch a seedot.
