I heard importing games from America to Europe was illegal, especialy if they are not in the country yet. I want Emerald, but my mum thinks its illegal to get it from America imported to my house (But I don't think she knows. Dx). But, is it?
Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I thought it should be in here because its practicly only about Emerald I'm talking about.

I always thought that it is fine to import games from over parts of the world as long as you get your native verison of the game when it comes out.

Well, usually Importing can be seen as "wrong" due to exchange rates (i.e. Importing may be cheaper than buying in your own country due to the exchange rates).
Of course, if you pay for it, technically it isn't illegal in the least (Note, when I mentioned import exchange rates I merely said it could be viewed as "wrong", not "illegal"), especially considering that GBA games have no region lock (i.e. to play imported console games, you must modify the console itself, which is technically the illegal part) so there's really nothing against getting imports.
I'm playing an Imported version of Emerald myself.

Thanks. Now I just have to tell my mum that and see if she'll get it for me (Or like my dad said, "Pay for it yourself." Who said I had money? I'm broke!). Hopefully I will, since yesterday she said she wasn't buying it since its coming from America.
