May's Newest Pokemon

Serebii net has just updated May's character bio with yet another new Pokemon. Apparently, she brought her Bulbasaur to Johto with her and it evolved twice into Venusaur. Dawn will sure have a hard time defeating May now.

Is it possible that maybe Dawn might learn that her Pokemon have to be evolved if she wants to win any contest? Maybe Dawn thinks her Pokemon are 'cute' and that could be what holds her back for they're 'adorable' and she doesn't think of evolution.

Thankfully, Dawn the Empoleon excels on PMD 2 for me.:happy:

Considering Bulbasaur didn't evolve when it had the chance, I don't think it will ever evolve. Plus, they aren't going to bring it back.
But the Bulbasaur thing has me thinking. Has anyone realized that in every region, the Ash and friends of that region have the 3 starter pokemon?
Kanto: Ash had them all
Johto: Ash had them all
Hoenn: Ash: Treeko, May: Torchic, Brock: Mudkip
Sinnoh: Ash: Turtwig and Chimchar, Dawn: Piplup

yea and Ash has had all the Grass starters in all the regions
and they make a pattern

Sceptile evolved 2 times

Turtwig evolved ? times

i think it will only evolve into Grotle since Paul has Torterra and that his Chimchar will evolve into Infernape and kick Paul's ass

Hey guys... according to serebii, May returned to Ash and co. but when she entered the wallace cup, her Bulbasaur evolved into Ivysaur, which automatically evolved into Venusaur!!

I think the anime's already proven that Pokemon don't need to evolve to be strong considering many of Ash's Pokemon haven't evolved, including the most famous one of all.

I'm glad May's Bulbasaur is back in action =] It would be cooler if it stayed as Ivysaur though. Much cuter xP

ok, remember how May had a Bulbasaur?
well, apparently she took it with her on her travels through Johto(it used to be in Prof. Oak's Lab)

and during her traveling in Johto, Bulbasaur evolved into Ivysaur at some point and later on evolved into Venusaur.

Oh, and for the people who are wondering why ash's bulbasaur hasn't evolved after so long, its because bulba dosn't wan to evolve. There was an episode on it with lots of bulbasaur turning into ivysaur, and a massive venasaur, but Ash's bulba didn't want tio evolve, it wanted to be strong just the way it was.

Remember a posting that was circulating here about the upcoming Pokemon movie and there was a Swinub amongst Dawn? What if it's possible that Dawn was to pull an upset and get the Pokemon egg, and that egg was to contain Swinub? Also, since May is not going to be a regular, it wouldn't make sense to have her win the contest, and also not make sense for her to get an egg that she already had in Eevee.

I hope Dawn evolves her Pokemon.

I'd lose all faith in the show if May won and then gave Dawn the egg. I've seen enough screwups on professional sports, doing that on Pokemon will be so wrong.

Well, I don't know...maybe they thought if Haruka (Japan saying now for May) won, then Hikari's fans (Dawn) would've been upset, or if Hikari won, maybe Haruka's fans would've been upset so maybe they just said draw...rewriting the Satoshi/Haruka battle where they also drew. But I don't know...what may work in Japan doesn't exactly work in America where you expect something out of the battle. It also didn't make sense that Dawn got a ribbon out of this draw, or they didn't split it like Ash and May did.

I still feel Dawn was due to break out of her losing slide. Boy I tell you, she's getting treated worse then professional wrestlers that end up in the doghouse.

Ah contest battling, does it ever make sense?

I thought it was a really great match between May and Dawn, though I really wanted to see May win not Dawn. Piplup's great but it shouldn't have beaten Glaceon the way it did.

Glaceon should have beaten Piplup by so much. I dont think that Dawn has many fans. lol

i think if Dawn used Ambipom the tie would have been more believable cuz Ambipom is really strong.
