Hi there!! Now I need help on my growlithe (arcanine pretty soon) and he's kinda hard to train as well...any help?

Growlithe
Level 32
Female

Bite
Ember
Rock Smash
Take Down

Will I need Rock Smash in Kanto? I really want to get rid of it, but I might need it to continue....(I'm at the last gym in Johto)

Eh, you ppl should post what version you want these sets for.

If you want a Pseudo-Hazer, she is too fragile without Reflect.

@leftovers
-Reflect
-Roar
-Body Slam
-Flamethrower

I think there's only 1 series where you can access Johto with an arcanine, that being GSC.

Arcanine, sweeper wise, isn't much of an idea metagame pokemon. I used it on one of my UUer teams using Rest-talk with Body slam and flamethrower (PAR was the important status to inflict for my team).

OMG, does MLugia=Mana Lugia? Liek wut

Edit: yes, that's me. Now stick to the topic.

Arcanine can use Crunch kinda well, though I'm not too sure how well. Depends, I guess. its attack is just that much higher than special.

Arcanine@Leftovers
Fire Blast

I really don't think Arcanine is worth using in a competitive battle. Despite it's high offense rate, it's movepool makes him a pretty sucky Sweeper. His defense isn't that great to do other roles any better as well.
