The people: A little off. Hair is not flat, make it stick out. Make the eyes the same size and take a little more time on the highlights and shading.

The pokemon: They're very sad, I'm sorry. I can't really say much but put more time into the shape.

The Absol is your best IMO. I still don't think they're too great, but you are DEFINATELY improving.

Seems like I agree with Defense.2 a lot. The Absol is without a doubt the best one. The others are..well, mediocre. Not too bad, when you consider some of the stuff that I've seen, so don't get discouraged.

My big suggestion for you is to take your time. Fix things as you go along. Don't hope to make it right in the first shot.

Why do I think that you may be rushing (and not even realizing it?) Let's take the Voltorb (Die) one for example.

First of all, the monsters aren't even round in your picture. Granted, you may take an element of style into consideration like in my own art, where things never tend to be perfectly round. However, the look of the lines just makes the unroundness seem uninentional and, to put it simply, sloppy. Why not use the circle tool for monsters as simple as Voltorb and Electrode?

Second, and the big one, is your "shading". You used the spray tool, which should not be used for anything, especially shading. There's no excuse for that. It seems like you used it as a way to rish through the steps. Then, looking at it, I can see that the spray "shading" even went over the lines. Ew. Just lazy. You don't just click the spray tool and drag it across the picture. On top of that, you used brown, which just makes me thing of ****.

Other things show signs of laziness/impatience, such as the obvious squared corners which show use of the eraser tool on the Voltorb's eyes, and the hastily-scribbled with the paint brush text. The little guys in the background...well, I don't even mention them.

Basically, just take your time, brush up (I love puns) on little things, and you'll do better.

Like we said, the Absol's pretty good, just keep going for that quality, and better, and you'll improve.

I thought the Absol was pretty bad. It had alot of squigglyness...

Just keep in mind I was new to all the Paint stuff and drawing on the computer, so I didn't know how bad some of the stuff were. I used the Air spray on Castform to make the outline.

How do you guys think of this pic. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v306/Sybersaur3000/kyogre.png
The proportions are terrible. I know...That's my first shot at drawing pokemon on a computer. Ok...Myfirst drawing I ever did on a computer....

Yeah, you figured out it was a Kyogre? I thought the proportions were way off...

Here's something I'm working on. I'm not finished with it yet. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v306/Sybersaur3000/MSPaint01.png

My suggestion: try not using the thick brushed. It might make things look a bit better.

IMO the second set you posted was much better than the first...I think so far the Absol is your best.

After a million years, I have started to draw on MS Paint again. This time, I needed a pic for a future banner....

So I drew one. I'm not finished yet...

Yes, I had an old pokemon art thread. How about the person I posted before your post, what would you rate it and what do you think I improve on it?

It isn't any thing high classed, but since you used paint: 6/10

Try to draw it by hand and scan it. Then color it.
