Backstabber - A Poem

I think I wrote this sometime last year, but I just thought I'd show you guys since, IMO, it's the only decent one I've written. ;P I had to keep changing it because it didn't sound right. Well, tell me what you think.

These eyes they see you through tints of blue
Why would you take away everything I knew?
I guess there's no point in crying anymore
And when I tried to stand you knocked me to the floor

These tears flood my eyes
I can't even watch you walk away
Broken and shattered by your lies
But by your side is where I'll stay

For a while we acted like everything was fine
But I still felt the knives you drove into my spine
Where they worked their way to my heart
Down to my soul where they ripped it apart

The blood falls in my eyes
I can't even watch you walk away
Wounded and burried by your lies
But by your side is where I'll stay

I just wanted to rid you of your fears
But now I want to drown you with my tears
Now the tables have turned, what will you do?
I rip the knives from my back and stick them in you

No more tears to flood my eyes
Now I'm the one who's walking away
To a place safe from your lies
And here is where I'll remain
