I was watching Cartoon Network and they showed a commercial for new Pokemon episodes, but Misty was on it, and I think it was for johto, or maybe it's just new chronicles.

But it says new episodes every day at 7 AM, [6 am here] so I don't really have time to check, last time I watched it at 6 AM there were reruns of Johto on =/

Did Cartoon Network like not have some of the Johto episodes aired? Cause I mean they are also saying these Jonny Test episodes are new. but all of them were on 4kids

Yeah I also saw that commercial. Maybe its new to Cartoonnetwork but not the other channels.

CartoonNetwork is just rerunning the Johto Pokemon Episodes.
I can't remember if they've ever aired on CartoonNetwork before, but I recall them just being on 4Kids, then of course, 4Kids stopped broadcasting the Pokemon series and went down the hole.

Also, just because another broadcasting channel aired a show, and then another similar channel airs it a year later, means it would be considered 'new' to the channel that airs it afterwards.

It's probably 'new' because that was never on Cartoon Network...like when they probably rebroadcasted Kanto and called it 'new'. Everything was on Kids WB previously, and then of course, WB was bought out and CW took over, which got the Pokemon axed. They might do the same thing with May..if they hadn't already done it, then Dawn about 2 years from now...then they might say they're broadcasting all of Pokemon you haven't seen before from episode 1 to the 500th episode something like that. It's kind of good to have old memories. My favorite is the Kyogre/Groudon battle when Archie and Pikachu were possessed.

I watched the Ash vs. Gary battle, great way for Ash to finally beat his rival and I look forward to Paul getting beat up.

It's not acually new. They are the later Johto Episodes aired right before Hoenn. I recorded them on my DVR, and they are from 2003 it said. Most of the Hoenn episodes are from '04-'05.

Well, your question has been answered. They're just re-airing the Jhoto episodes and then they'll probably go through the Hoenn season afterwards (god help us all).
