Brawl: Your thoughts on Link.

Yeah, I like Link.

But I think they should of improved him a little. I think is side B, is utterly horrible, and also his neutral B has little effect but can be good. Bomb is good, as it can be used to make opponents go flying, cause and damge and more. Too me, his clawshot hardly ever gets the opponent. His A moves are naturally good. But he could you use improvement. I mean they basically killed him! Also, why can't he talk. Yahhhh! Watahhh! Shyaaah!

Link doesn't talk because you are supposed to feel like the hero in the Zelda games. Speech would spoil the experience.


I love Link; I don't see the problem with him. He's kinda slow, though.

If I remember correctley Isn't Toon Link just a faster less powerfull version of Link? Well either way I definatley prefer Toon Link speed seems to be very important most of the time.

Link is oka, Toon Link is the most easiest person to master, though, which is why a large amount of people main him. I also, preffer toon over regular, speed and bombs are better, and the bommerang is bigger, but no tornado D: but he is good overall. Also, what I mean by bomb are better, I mean they explode easier and don't get thrown all over the place, unless you catch them midair.

Bold is fixed. Toon Link is way better than Link. Pretty sure his knockback's about the same too, or it's so little less that you can't tell the difference.

His arrows are slower and his bombs don't have as big of a range, though, but Toon Link doesn't need to turn around to do a shorthop attack. His backwards air might be more powerful than Link's. His Up Smash is only one swipe, but I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not...

And yeah, Toon link is ffaster, smaller bomb range, up smash only 1 swipe, down smash forces him down, no kicks, WW style. BIG HEAD.

I like the 1-swipe up smash, because on the 3-swipe one, the first 2 weak swipes tend to knock people just out of range of the third swipe if used on someone with high damage.

For me it does, at least.

Try down throw into up smash. Personally, I'd use a D-air if there's no ceiling, and Link's F-air can do some knockback if you pile on the damage.

And this thread is getting less intelligent the longer it stays here. :P

I main him along with Sonic and Fox and Ike.

I think it's cooler how Link doesn't talk, it seems weird if Nintendo made him start talking, and if they made Link quicker, his attacks would probably be weaker, I love Link's movesets, Overall I give Link a 12/10 :)
