Surprised to see DK moving up. I haven't really kept up with tier status lately, so there's a few things that seem surprising to me. I figured Wario would be getting up there with how soundly he can counter Snake in the right hands. Kirby being higher than Diddy is also odd to me, but whatever.

-DK, Diddy and Falco aren't very good, and Olimar doesn't seem very powerful, yet they're in some of the highest tiers. What the...?

-Shouldn't Sonic be one tier higher?

-Wario doesn't deserve a spot in the Very High Tier. I kill him almost every time, and get killed with him EVERY time.

On the other hand, it's nice to see my main Brawlers, Toon Link and Kirby, are both in the High Tier. But Samus does suck a little, because her Zero Suit form isn't very good.

First off, this tier list are partly based on tourney results.

DK: If you haven't noticed, DK is a lot faster than he was before. He also keeps his good damage, has great killing moves, and is heavy.

Diddy: How is Diddy not good? I don't know much about Diddy, but the bananas are annoying, his moves come out pretty quickly. And look at this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uV8NmhSBXmw

Falco: Uh, don't know much about him, either. *looks him up* It says he has a chain grab, which is nice. Lasers force the opponent to approach... He has quick attacks, a quick kill move, and a spike.

Olimar: Super Armor! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgJUsofOe-I) He has pretty good smashes. Uair and usmash are both nice. His b-forward racks up damage pretty quickly and is spammable.

Blah blah blah Sonic has bad knockback blah.

Just because you're not good at using Wario doesn't mean he sucks. Also, just because your friends aren't good at Wario doesn't mean he sucks.

I brawl with a lot of Low Tiers, Yoshi, Mario, and Sonic (SONIC THE HEDGEHOG!!!)
The only High Tiers I play(when I say play I mean main) with are Kirby and sometimes Wario. Wario is just tons of fun to play as.

I main Ike just cause he's awesome. My other mains, Game and Watch and Link, are half based on tiers. G&W because he's so high, and Link 'cause he's so low.

'Kay. What if someone with complete knowledge of every character, and was perfect with them, and cloned himself. Then what? Clearly, Tiers are needed to figure that out.

The only way that there wouldn't be tiers in any fighting game is if the roster was filled with 10/20/30 clones of the exact same thing, with no changes in lag, hit frames of move property whatsoever.

Well... If people think that you can beat someone just by being a high tier then they're damn wrong, Ive bea a lot of people with the 2nd to lowest of the tiers (Yoshi). I really think its he strategies and skills of the person whos playing, not the characters attributes or abilities, sure Sonic may run faster then Ganon, but Ganon could knock him off the stage with just one hit.
What Im saying is, each character has their pros and cons, and that the use of them shouldnt be based off of tiers or rankings, but instead the players.

I never did. I've played Zelda since Melee where she was absolutely horrible. It's just conicidence I still play her and she's good now.

It's true that some people do that, but generally speaking most players accept that they would do better with a character they're accustomed to, no matter what tier it's in.
