Episode 542 is the one where it's Pikachu vs. Raichu II, and where Ash debates on changing Pikachu with Thunderstone! Though some may know how it turned out, watch it anyway as there's a little bit of ER in it with Pikachu on life support for a moment! Best part of the English version, easier to understand.:biggrin:

Agreed. They just made this episode for fun, to tease viewers into thinking that Pikachu will finally evolve. We all know he isn't going to, without a doubt, without watching the episode. Evolving Pikachu would kill the whole anime.

(Ah, I KNEW there was an older episode about Pikachu not evolving even though everyone made a big deal about It. :x)

But yeah, I totally saw this coming. Having Pikachu evolve Is like having Meowth leave Team Rocket forever, It just can't work and It'd mess up the show badly. =p

I don't know, I play Raichu all the time on the games and it never messed the game up. Can't see why a Raichu would mess a show up.

Because, Pikachu, is meant to be pikachu. Pikachu has always been Pikachu, and Pikachu would not be the same as a Raichu. It would just be wierd. Pikachu is Pikachu.
(Did I say Pikachu too much in this post? :crackup:)

Little Pika will stay a Pika, end of story. Anyways the anime would have been ruined if it had evolved into Raichu.

Yeah, Pika stays Pika, it was just a way to catch people's attention back to the show. Oh well, at least Pikachu doesn't stay on Ash's shoulder for 22 minutes this eppy!

I don't know, I play Raichu all the time on the games and it never messed the game up. Can't see why a Raichu would mess a show up.
:neutral:. Theres difference between the game & show...for the most part. You'd have to have a pretty low IQ & be a complete ******* to not know that :neutral:.

No I just feel it's time for a change. I just feel Ash sets a very bad example by not releasing Pikachu's true power, and as the Raichu, the power is amplified more. On Dungeon, I did good with Pikachu, but I also struggled because it wasn't powerful enough. I don't see how people can say evolving Pikachu would make it scary or intimidating, it's not like we're going to have an Undertaker type Raichu are we? Sheesh. And Raichu is not fat, just big boned. I just feel, 10 years, sheesh, Pokemon have to grow up too like us people.

Pikachu is the most-recognized Pokemon. If they evolved it into Raichu, which is a less-known Pokemon, what good would that do to the anime?

The anime will never grow up. But I agree, Raichu is way better than Pika in my opinion. But pikachu is the super mascot and will never change. That's why the anime has sucked since like... ever.

Pikachu is *the* mascot.

If Pikachu evolved, people who missed the show would take one glance at Raichu and say 'WTF is that?' Nobody would recognize Raichu because it's so much less popular. It's also bigger than Pikachu, which will sort of throw a blanket over the adorable-little-mouse-plopped-on-Ash's-head thing Pikachu tends to do.
