Park Mart

Welcome, how may we help you today? You must buy Park Mart and Pokemart items before you enter National Park.

Park Items

Repellent: $100
It can repel a Pokemon of your choice for five encounters.
-Example: If used on a Weedle, the Weedle will not be seen for five encounters.
To use Repellent, press the button on the device. It emits a horrible hypersonic noise that only that specific Pokemon can hear. It will be driven mad and will attempt to run away from the source of the noise.

Family Repellent: $500
It can repel a whole evolution chain of a Pokemon of your choice for five encounters.
-Example: If used on Weedle, Weedle and its evolutions will not be seen for five encounters.
To use Repellent, press the button on the device. It emits a horrible hypersonic noise that only that Pokemon Family can hear. They will be driven mad and will attempt to run away from the source of the noise.

Type Repellent: $1,500
It can repel a whole type of Pokemon classified under a certain type for five encounters.
-Example: If used on Bug type Pokemon, any bug Pokemon will not be seen for five encounters.
To use Repellent, press the button on the device. It emits a horrible hypersonic noise that only that specific Pokemon Type can hear. They will be driven mad and will attempt to run away from the source of the noise.

Pokeradar: $5,000
Allows you to attract any member of a Pokemon's evolutionary family. You are given one device for three uses.
-Example: I set mine to Machop and I'll definitely run into a Machop or Machoke.
To use Pokeradar, activate the device and it will lead you to the Pokemon of your choice. One you find the Pokemon, the device breaks and can't be used again.

Type Pokeradar: $2,500
Allows you to attract any member of a Pokemon's type class. You are given one device.
-Example: I set mine to Steel and I'll definitely run into a Steel type Pokemon.
To use Type Pokeradar, activate the device and it will lead you to the Pokemon Type of your choice. One you find the Pokemon, the device breaks and can't be used again.

Pokeradar Deluxe: $8,000
Allows you to attract a specific Pokemon. You are given one device.
-Example: I set mine to Machop and I'll definitely run into a Machop. Can be used for non-evolutionary Pokemon like Stantler. Can not be used for 3rd stage evolutions like Machamp.
To use Pokeradar Deluxe, activate the device and it will lead you to the Pokemon of your choice. Once you find the Pokemon, the device breaks and can't be used again.

Please note that Repellants and Radars are wasted if the chosen Pokemon or Type does not appear in the area you are in.

*You may keep the above items in your stats only if you don't use it or set it to something. Otherwise it is used up and you will need to buy another one.

Park Balls

These Regular Pokeballs are specially equipped at catching Pokemon in their designated area, and will fail if used outside it. When buying these make sure you say what kind you want, because they cannot be exchanged later.

Great Lakes- Lure Ball
Woods- Forest Ball
Botanical Gardens- Nature Ball
Mt. Deckbi- Heat Ball
Abandoned Power Plant- Power Ball
Mt. Oktori- Frigid Ball
Meteor Valley- Low Ball
Outer Heaven- Sky Ball

Regular Park Balls: $200
The Pokeballs listed above can capture Pokemon at basic, second, and non-evolutionary stages only in their desired location. It is the basic Pokeball, but is designed with a higher chance to catch Basic Pokemon and Baby Pokemon.
-Example: Can catch Ralts and Kirlia but not Gardevoir.

Hyper Ball: $600
To upgrade to a Hyper Ball inside the park, you can trade 3 Regular Park Balls for 1 Hyper Ball. You can also buy these here. This Pokeball allows you to catch any stage of Pokemon, and does not come in Types. This is the only ball that can catch third stage, and others will automatically fail.
-Example- Can catch any Pokemon, even third stage. Chance for catching basic, second, and non-evolutionary stages increases.

*Regarding Park Balls- You can’t use the Lure Ball to catch Pokemon in Meteor Valley because it will automatically fail. You may trade three typed Park Balls for one Hyper Ball and vice versa whenever you want. The Ranger will make a detour when this happens. Once you run out of Balls, your park experience is over. Any unused Park Balls and Hyper Balls remain in your Trainer Stats to be used when you return.*

Ranger Items

These are the only items a Ranger will carry with them in the park. You may purchase these here at the Park Mart or from the Ranger when you enter National Park.

Digital Camera: $1000
If you spot a Legendary, take it's picture. Show the picture to the Ranger and you will receive a reward of $2,000. If you do not have a camera when the Legendary appears, it will run away before you get a chance to purchase the camera. This camera can be used ten times, and can be carried out of the Park until all ten pictures are used up.

Poke-Doll: $100
Use in battle to distract wild Pokemon so you can easily run away. If unused, you may keep it for next time. Using a Poke-Doll will not count for your Run Away Count.

Healing Potion: $1,000
This can be purchased multiple times and will heal ½ the total Pokemon’s HP. If unused, you may keep it for next time.
To use, spray on Pokemon.

Status Potion: $500
Like the Healing Potion, this item helps cure status conditions. Burn, Paralyze, Sleep and Freeze will be no more with the use of this item. If unused, you may keep it for next time.
To use, spary on Pokemon.

Special Map: $7,000
In each Location there will be special areas that only a Ranger can get you through. This is the only way to find third evolution Pokemon.

Honey - $2,000
Increases your chance to attract specific Pokemon that like honey. Burmy, Cherubi, Aipom, Combee, Heracross, and Munchlax.
To use, spread Honey on a tree or bush. 1 time use.

*The Special Map must be bought each time you re-enter the park. You cannot carry it out of the Park, and any attempts to do so cause the map to turn to dust.*

I'm not gonna check the math, I trust y'all that nobody is cheating. And are you guys making sure to only count half of the prices? All the listed prices are HALF OFF in September!

When buying Park Balls, say which kind you want. It's not really insanely important, since all balls can be exchanged for others, but walking in with just generic ones, you'd need to assign types to them anyway.

Sam, please keep a count of how much money is coming in. This is different from the Pokemart in this way. There's a reason to this. The Park does not print any of it's own money, no new money will ever be created. Instead it uses income to pay the Rangers, so we need to know how much there is to hand out.

Guys, the income tally? I can't do this right now as of this moment, or I would be counting and approving it too. Please, can y'all keep track of how much money is coming in? Just keep a runing count, adding from the previous cashier's sales.

If I have to, I will do it later tonight when I finish my HW but please, would it be possible to just add up how much people are spending? I hate to be a bother since I can't do it myself right now, but I'd really like to know how much money is coming in.

You're confused a little. Hypers stay that way, because they work anywhere, hence why they're so popular. Regulars are typed.

Too much math for me right now, sorry guys that I can't count sales. Been doing a lot of stuff.

Attention! Park Balls are being changed to be no longer exchangeable. Those who previously bought Park Balls, please do the following. If you have some, please choose a type now. If you have typed balls and wish to exchange because you don't like them, you may do that. Exchanging is good for a week from the date of this post (Eastern Timezone), after which you're stuck with the balls you have. You may only exchange each typed ball for another typed ball once, so choose carefully

Also to give more incentive to buy these previously seemingly nearly worthless balls that don't provide any catching benefit besides looking cool, Park Balls now have a higher chance to catch Basic and Baby Pokemon! This is retroactive, so no action is required on your part. If you want to talk in terms of numbers, Park Balls give a flat modifier to catch Baby and Basic more often, by about 10%.

Hyper Balls still carry higher chances on all stages except final, and have a 5% higher chance across the board. Hyper Balls are the only kind that can catch final forms, but provide no additional catch chance on these. Three of any kind of typed Park Ball can still be traded in for a Hyper Ball at the counter, and vice versa.

Please note that the percents given are approximate and pretty arbitrary. They are just being listed to explain how the catch chance modifiers compare to each other.
