I want to fill my ranch and i know you can bring pokemon from your DS onto your ranch but i dont want to loose them on my Diamond game.
My question is that once you transfer pokemon from your DS are they still on your DS or are they cloned? or can i get them back?

no they are not cloned, but yes you can bring them back, however only to that one diamond game cart and only if its the same game file

As Poke2008 said, for whatever reason, they're completely moved to the Ranch. =/ However, If you still want to fill up your ranch but not lose your Pokémon, and happen to have an SD card and don't plan on adding more Pokémon from Diamond for quite awhile, you can just copy your save file, so If your main one gets corrupted or anything you'll have a backup. I also recommend doing It every so often; which goes about deleting the backup save and copying and replacing the deleted one with your updated(like If you added quite a few more Pokémon or something among those lines) save, just to be safe and all that.

I would advise copying your pokemon
game onto a SD card first, its always good
to be safe, you never know with these games.

Yeah, as far as I know about the game, it's a Wii version of Pokemon Box (Ruby and Sapphire), and you can send your Pokemon back to Diamond so long as you don't restart it. They aren't cloned and Pokemon Ranch will only allow the OT (Original Trainer) to recover their Pokemon from the game, therefore the Trainer's and Pokemon's ID Number have to match, otherwise, you can't take them out again. One of my friends had to learn that lesson the hard way.
