For myself, as an RPG player, it looked bloody awesome! I haven't played it and I'd love to but it's selling for $100 bucks at the local game store, $199 for the 'Special Edition' Version. So I kinda walked out.

It looks great, reviews are pumping and well. Damn I wish I had more than $80 in my pocket.

I think the concept is good, how long it lasts I do not know.

OMG WUT. IMPORT IMPORT IMPORT... MUST IMPORT. Dammit! Ohh EEEEEEBAAAAY! :P

Yeah. It looks really awesome, if it wasn't for the ridiculous price over here, I would have bought it already. I'll look at reviews and wait till the price goes down to something reasonable maybe.

It's not an MMO. The game features the ability to basically absorb creatures that other people have uploaded into your game as NPC races. The best comparison I've seen is a "Massively single-player online real time strategy game", though that's technically not a genre. In short, internet use is available, but not required.

Actually, I needed the internet when I got it. You need to register it, apparently. x_x

Anyway, I picked this up at Walmart on Sunday. I luff it. <3

You can play it without internet. The downside to not registering a MySpore account is that your world will only be filled with Maxis-made creations and whatnot. However, because 90% of user generated content is genitalia or perverted essence, there's more or less to worry about.

Spore is awesome. I want to get the Flora Creator so bad: design your own flora for Spore.

I got Spore about a week ago. It's not bad. After a while though, it get kinda limited. Now the only reason I play it is to make absolutely absurd creatures.

Canis Lupus, for the purpose of the OP's request, Spore would do fine.

If you refer back, the issue was with dial-up so a sustained connection for something such as an MMO would be a problem. However, since dial-up will do just fine for registering an account and even suffice for the small transfers of packeted data, I'd say it's safe to give you the go ahead, Synyster Gates.

The creation tools, for one, are a joy in their own right.
