Hello everyone! For those who don't know me, my name is Rachel and my drawings that I've posted in the past have resulted in one of the most successful threads in the older PE2K ProBoards forum. I had 30 pages of continues drawings, comments, requests... you name it. I had never in my wildest imaginations thought that it would grow to be so huge with viewers.

Well, I am happy to announce that "Rachel's Art!" is back in business, and is better than ever! Almost all of the pieces you see here from the old thread have been improved, that is, they were re-scanned, brought into Photoshop, and from there they were touched up here and there... wherever I felt they needed improvement. The result is clearer, crisper, and more colorful drawings than most of you have remembered. It was a long task, but I really feel that you'll definitely be able to see the difference!

So with that being said, I'd like to welcome you to my new and improved thread, which includes links to all of the earlier pieces. As a special bonus, I've added in a bonus drawing that I've recently completed on March 20th. I hope you'll enjoy viewing it!

I'd like to thank each and every one of you for making this thread as popular as it has been before. It has really pushed me to keep improving myself, and for that, I feel like a totally different person. So once again... THANK YOU AND ENJOY!

Those are marvelous, especially your new one: Rayquaza vs Scizor. The effects looks so cool, and the whole thing just looks plain awesome.

Just some of my comments: In some of your older pics, which you edited with Photoshop, they looks kinda worse IMO. Especially that Pikachu+Pichu+Minun+Plusle Thunderbolt, the ball-ish effect makes it kinda worse. Just my comments, nothing else.
U are just a fantastic drawer ^_^

Great art, as usual... I especially like the Rayquaza pic, since i'm a big fan of Dragons (Almost as much as i am Dark), and the Hyper Beam looks extremely realistic IMO...

Can't wait to see what you come up with next...

Thanks Raik! Thank Photoshop for pretty much the whole background.

You know, it's funny... I was thinking the exact same thing with the PMPPT picture. It looked great when I first added those glows, but the more I looked at it, the worse it became. I was trying to create some sort of lighting effect behind the Pokemon... in order to make the Thunderbolt look more realistic. I guess it didn't turn out as well as I thought.

So I re-did the picture once again and brought it back in the way it was way back in my old thread. I'm sorry if I made your request look worse!

I also brought back a few others I was unhappy with... a few might have already noticed some difference. Hopefully they all look better now to everyone!

Wow so awesome. I give ALL of your art 100/10. XD Are you doing requests?

I'm sorry GF, I would love to make your banner, but I have to catch up on some earlier requests first. I don't want to make you wait forever. If you haven't already, you can always ask for a banner in the Image Workshop thread on the top in the "Mixed Graphic Arts" section.

Wow, Rachel, those are just incredible. They have some much creativity and detail in them. That has to be the best Pokemon fan art that I have ever seen. Keep it up!
By the way I have two questions:
1)I don't see that Hitokage (Charmander) drawing you did a while back. Remember the one I requested? You should post that too!
2)Have you ever considered drawing the Pokemon trainers as well? I figure if you are this good at drawing the Pokemon, you must be just as good at drawing trainers.

I didn't post your picture because it was made after I had said that I wouldn't update my thread any longer. Back then I had my new site opened up, and I thought it would've been better to show it there along with everything else. But I will gladly post it up here for you... here it is!

As for Pokemon trainers, I honestly have never thought about drawing them. I find drawing humans a bit more difficult... I would have to say that I've always had a weakness there, especially with drawing hands, arms, etc. I've always loved animals and I'm around them alot, so that's what really helps me find a particular stance or action that I'm looking for. But as far as people go, I need more practice there.

I know what you mean. For some reason people are very tough to draw. Animated characters are obivously alot easier, but I have the same problems as you do (hands, etc.). The difference is you've mastered drawing the Pokemon and I'm still trying to get a good start on it! Maybe if I practiced a little more...
Thanks for posting the picture by the way.

Rachael, if you don't mind, I would like to request a banner for the Roleplaying Olympics. Our forum, although small compared to the other major pokemon forums, needs a good flag and I decided that you'll be the best for the job.

The only requirement is that it be 550 x 150 pixels (whatever that means) and carries name of Pokemon Elite 2000. How you do it and what you put on it is up to you.

I know you'll do your best because you are the best. Our roleplaying representatives will carry the banner into the Olympics, heads held high. I want the other forums to see that we are the best forum and we won't give up without a fight. Good luck.

A request if you may? You don't have to though.

I would like a Jirichi using a doom desire against a Deoxys using Psycho Boost.

BTW: AWESOME ART!! Especially the Rayquaza against Scizor. The effects were perfect, especially the agility.

I would be honored to make a banner for the Roleplaying Olympics, if I could. Unfortunetly I am still trying to finish other drawings from the older forum, and because of that I simply can't take any requests right now. It's a shame because I have a great idea already set up, but I don't think I'll be able to come around to making it right away. I'm really sorry HKim.

If you want to go ahead and ask Matthew (if you haven't already), I think that would be your best option. I don't think Sophie is around much anymore, and even if she was located, I'm not 100% sure she would be able to make anything. Everyone's just been real busy lately, so it's hard to find someone.

So yeah, I apologize for not being able to accept anything as of this moment... HKim and everyone else. I want to shoot for everything up and posted by the time the summer rolls around. Mabye I'll finish before then if things work out. In the meantime, keep your hopes up and check on the site for any updates.

Honestly, the one that captures the moment the best is Gengar vs Espeon. I don't know if it is your intention, but it appears that Gengar knows he can win, and is holding back while Espeon is giving it her all. The smirk on his face is like "You are wasting your time". The ground cracks and the psychic "forcewaves" add to the 1337[\|3$$. I really think adding a landscape helps to add to the pic. Gengar vs Espeon is most definitely my fave. Scizor vs. Rayquaza=#2.

Not to make a request, but making a good battle suggestions for a drawing...

Aggron vs Nidoking (or Rhydon... horns=good battle =0)

Sneasel vs Zangoose (the claws...so 1337)

Blastoise vs Golduck (the canons vs the head-crystal beam thingy >.>)

Just suggestions.

Thanks a lot Ruben! I see you're another fan of my Alakazam vs. Mewtwo battle scene. My very first one I might add! Well anywayz, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks kholdstaire, I love that scene also... one of my favorites. I spent a lot of time and effort on it, and I'm happy to see how well it's turned out. I actually wanted both of them to be equal to each other, but if that's what you've pictured through the drawing, that's great. Same thing with my Rayquaza vs. Scizor battle scene... I absolutely love the effects. I try to make each Pokemon have a fighting chance, no matter what the situation.

Thanks also for all of the suggestions! I know that I won't be able to find the time to start on any of them right now, but as the months go by and I start to gain back my free time, who knows? I also hadn't forgotten Dark Absol's suggestion for making a battle scene between Groudon and Kyogre. Don't expect it right away... but definitely don't forget about it either!

Wow these pics are amazing. Do you do requests? Probably not cause these probably take you a long time. They are all excellantly done.

Thanks for the comments SapphireTiger... I really appreciate it.

As of this moment I'm not taking any requests from anyone, but I plan to change that very soon. I currently have a few more drawings to finish, and when I'm done, I'll have lots of time to make more.

However, when that time comes, I want to be able to start a drawing without feeling any pressure from anyone else. This whole thing has been a rough road for me, full of excitement and new experiences. I love what I do, and what I've done for everyone, but it's true when I say that I can't be expected to finish everyone's requests overnight. Afterall, I'm no Superwoman (even though it'd be nice  ).

Anywayz, I'm sorry for bringing this thread back up again. Some people probably have got all excited from seeing a post be me in my own thread, but I'm replying here not to post a new picture, but for different reasons. While I love stopping by every so often to check on new and old messages here, from now on I'd appreciate everyone to PM me if they have a question, or even if it's just a small comment. Since I have my own website now that I use instead to post new pictures, I don't feel the need for people to keep posting here so that this thread never "dies". PE2K had told me that art threads are an exception as far as posting goes, and that artists can keep coming back to display more of their art, however long it would take them in between posts. However, since I don't plan on continuously updating here anymore, I won't be adding new stuff here. Instead, anything that I choose to post will be done inside the "Share a Drawing" thread.

"Rachel's Art!" was meant to be a collection of all of my art that had been completed back when ProBoards existed. If it happens to disappear from existence, at least I made a lot of people smile before that happens.

So again, I would really appreciate any future comments/questions to be made via PM or e-mail, and not here. I can't guarantee that I'll be responding here anymore... and I don't want to dissapoint anyone by not doing so.

Thanks everyone for all of the great times in the past. Keep your hopes high and don't forget about this place! Laterz!

WOW! That's just sooooooooooo good!!! I've printed out my requests that you did, and I tried to draw them i diferent poses, and now, they look like they came from the tv show! o_0" But now I can draw really good!

And for some reason all your pictures are showing up as: Hosted By Angelfire

Thank you CuteMew! I'm pleased to know that my drawings have inspired you to improve yourself. Keep up the good work!

Whew!! *...drops dead...* I've finally finished uploading all of my stuff from the first page onto a different server, so hopefully there won't be any problems now... for a while at least. I'm sorry for the delay... I know I had realized that my sig (along with a lot of others) had disappeared due to Angelfire, and I went ahead and fixed it while totally forgetting about all of my pictures! Thank you CM for reminding me!

So again, everything should be back up and working. If there are any problems or concerns, don't be afraid to let me know.

And again: Please PM or e-mail me if you have a question, lengthy comment, request, or anything else of importance so I know about it and/or so I can get back to you faster. Otherwise, I probably will miss what you have to say... simply because I won't be stopping by here any longer to check on things.

Remember, anything that I will post relating to art will now be in the "Share a Drawing" thread. So make sure to check that place out instead. Thanks again!

Hey Rachel I checked out your site I must say that Lugia that you drew and enhanced w/photoshop looks like a professional manga/anime drawing. Well done. P.S. I take it by your last post that you're accepting requests now.

P.S. Your Rayquaza vs. Scizor was pretty professional quality too. Great job rachel!

See? The smilies liked it too.

Rachel, that art is amazing!! You have all of the PKMN right on model and while you keep 'em true to their forms, you've got your own style going. Those battle scenes are amazing too. You have all of the attacks rendered perfectly and it seems like you've drawn every pose perfectly.

For coloring, do you use actual colored pencils, or is that Adobe Photoshop? Whatever it is, you're really good at it.

You're truly talented. I'm gonna watch this thread.

Hi. This is JIG's Meowth. JIG would have talked about how good your art is Rachel, but unfortunately she "died" by the time she was looking at the Tenchi Toonami pic. Perhaps she was overwhelmed by how good you were. Sorta reminds me of an episode of this show called "Code: Lyoko" where some kid went into a coma after listening to some music... Who would've thought that something like that happened in real life?

Regardless, these pictures are AWSOME!
