OK. I think this is a unique and interesting RP. For the background story, I'm going to put the prologue from the fic I'm writing up. Here goes.

The world was a big thing, but compared to the rest of the universe, it’s insignificant. Nothing that happens there has a lasting effect on the cosmos. That was what everyone thought in the year 5212. Yet something was about to happen that would change that forever.
It started out a civil war, the first in 537 years. The people of America had been dividing into factions for years. The faction that supported the rise of Unified Nationality, the idea of all countries becoming one. And the faction that believed it was nationality that taught equality, fairness and individuality. The tension between the two grew every day, until eventually, it turned into a war.
Weapons hadn’t been used for a long time, but it didn’t take long for the sides to create new ones. Soon America, the so called Brain of the Peace, was a battle field. Many people died but the war continued. The weapons became more powerful and the fighting became more intense. By that time the rest of the world had started trying to stop the war. Unfortunately, nobody was powerful enough to stand up to their advanced weapons.
The side for Unified Nationality had a brilliant scientist working for them by the name of Pokeler. He invented a lot of the weapons and was giving his side a huge advantage. A few years after the start of the war, he became interested in creating advanced soldiers that could destroy whole units of enemy soldiers. He tried creating robotic soldiers but they could only last a few days before they fell apart.
Pokeler realized that mechanical humans were easily countered by the other side and decided that he would have to create living creatures. It took three more years during which he couldn’t create any more weapons and the enemy was winning the war. But finally, he succeeded in altering a praying mantis’ DNA as well as adding in fossilized dinosaur DNA. It grew to the size of a grown man. It had a dinosaur like face and stood on two legs, with long scythes instead of arms. Pokeler called it Scyther.
Pokeler created more creatures and called them Pokemon, short for Pokeler’s Monsters. He soon began experimenting on non-living matter, resulting in creatures made of steel and rock. With these creatures, the Unified Nationality started to slaughter enemies by the thousands. These creatures were the key to destroying all opposition, or so Pokeler thought. Small groups of survivors continued to trouble them, and as more and more countries developed weapons to help in the war, more and more of the Pokemon began to die.
The Unified Nations turned on Pokeler, blaming him for this change of tides. Desperate to win the war before his own people killed him, Pokeler worked day and night to create more Pokemon. At last, he did it. He created Pokemon with powers beyond any army. These, were the legendaries.
The legendaries were invincible. A giant bird called Arcticuno could freeze entire continents. A large creature resembling an armoured dinosaur, known only as Palkia, tore space itself apart. A shadowy spectre like creature called Darkrai drove cities insane with terrible nightmares. It was less than a month before all opposition had been defeated and a celebration was declared in Pokeler’s honour.
Yet an unforeseen consequence dampened their spirits. Even as the celebration began, a large blue canine creature called Suicune attacked. Too late, Pokeler realized that the legendaries were too powerful to control. They proceeded to attack cities all over the world, destroying all in their path. No matter what they tried, the legendaries continued to kill. A new age was beginning. An age of legendaries.
Many years later, people are still terrified of the Pokemon. The real terror though, is that a madman named Yevon Yu is creating copies of the Pokemon. They are much more powerful and if he succeeds, war will break out again, possibly destroying the entire world. These are called Yu Pokemon and are recognizable by their golden glow.
Yet not all hope is lost. Many people have become friends with the original Pokemon. Divided, they can't defeat Yevon Yu, certainly not before he has created his new Pokemon, but together, they may have a chance.

Here are the rules.

Be at least semi literate
No god-modding
Try to stick to the storyline.
Try to make sense
Don't say something ridiculous.
Remember that there are no pokeballs.
Remember that this is our world with artificial Pokemon. Normal animals are here too.
Be imaginative. If you want your Pokemon to be Kyogre, then say you were born on a floating city. It's the future after all.

If I've left anything out, PM me and I'll add it in. Thank you.

William squealed in joy as he held onto his good friend Zappy the Zapdos' back as he rode on it. Flying through the air was fun, and it was easy. Zappy was a good flyer, and William had no fear of heights whatsoever.

Then, all of a sudden, it happened. A Pokemon William recognized as the fearful Scizor appeared. It flew towards Zappy quickly, most likely using some sort of speed attack. It rammed Zappy with its claw during its accelerated accent, and knocked them down, down and down.

OOC: Short post, but I always start off short. :P

"Let's go Anima," Seymour shouted excitedly as Anima flew through the air. Through his goggles he saw a series of mountains coming up. He grinned.

"I know what you're thinking Seymour. Are you sure you-" Anima said telepathically before he was cut off.

"Anima, you know I'm going to ask you anyway so why bother with the lecture?" Seymour said in a bored voice. Anima sighed and then sped straight at the mountains. Skillfully, he dodged between the jagged peaks, his long serpenine body not even grazing the rocks.

"Can I take a break now. You know I'm old now and can't handle much excitement," Anima protested.

"Sorry buddy. No time for rest now. Look," he exclaimed in an unusually worried voice. Anima followed his gaze and saw the scene below them. He saw a small boy on a small Zapdos' back. They seemed to be hurt because they were plummeting to the ground. Scanning the air quickly, he saw the Scizor that had attacked them. It was coming back for round two.

"There's no way I can carry that Zapdos and hold off the Scizor," Anima said but he dived down after the falling bird anyway.

As he flew that, William noticed a guy on a Rayquaza coming to save him! However, the Scizor was approaching at an alarming pace. At this rate, Scizor would get to him first.

"Oh, man!" William pouted during his fall down to earth. "Now what? All I can do is wait... HEY MISTER ON THE RAYQUAZA!!! ATTACK THE SCIZOR OTHERWISE IT'LL KILL ME!"

OOC: I have nothing better to do apart from prevent you from double-posting. XD

OOC: Well, you could have said you iraculously regained control of the flight, or that you managed to fire an attack at Scizor or...

Seymour realized that the kid was right and he quickly asked Anima to attack Scizor.

"Anima, we need to stop that Scizor first. Otherwise it will reach them first," he said. Anima nodded shortly.

"Hang on tight Seymour. See how much fun this will be," Anima thought out loud. Seymour grinned and tightened his grip around Anima's neck. Anima turned toward the Scizor and as he flew he began to spin, slowly at first, but quickly picking up speed. Pretty soon Seymour was hanging on for dear life and a tornado was forming around them.

Suddenly, the small mini-twister extended in length and started shooting toward Scizor.

OOC: I don't believe in miracles, nor do I think a fainted baby Zapdos would be able to attack a high-level Scizor.

IC: Most likely taking William's advice, the Rayquaza did a spiral in mid-air. Then, it created a small tornado around it. The tornado grew in size, and left the Rayquaza's body, aiming at the surprised Scizor. The Scizor was struck. Then, the two Pokemon fell out of sight as a mountain got in the way.

"Crap! I'm still falling!" the 5-year old kid yelled.

He and Zapdos luckily fell on a sleeping Snorlax, and bounced off of it lightly.

"Huh... Classic," William laughed shakily, recovering from the fright of the free fall. He stepped backwards a bit, still a bit dizzy. He heard something smush underneath his foot. Looking down, he saw a couple Oran Berries, one of which was smushed underneath his shoe. William picked up a couple and fed them to Zappy. The infant Pokemon awoke, healed by the berries.

"Zap?" the Pokemon questioned, the last thing it remembered being the assault of the Scizor.

William explained everything that had happened in high detail, mentioning the phrase 'cool guy on a Rayquaza' a lot. Then, he trailed off, and searched the skies for the cool guy on the Rayquaza. Nothing was there.

"Oh..." William said sadly, assuming the man had died. He failed to remember that the guy was behind the mountain.

Seymour, still dizzy from the spinning, looked around. The Scizor hadn't fainted but it had obviously decided not to bother continueing the hunt.

"Seymour. The kid on the Zapdos fell behind that mountain," Anima told him.

"Alright then. We'll go behind the mountain. Then you can rest pal. I'll look for them on foot," Seymour said. Anima sighed in relief. Seymour couldn't help but pity him. He had aquired so much power over the years, and he didn't have the energy to use it.

Anima flew around the mountain and carefully descended to the ground. He found a small clearing and managed to curl up, turning his extensive body into a spiral.

OOC: i finished my sign up, so...i guess it's ok?

IC:

Howl walked slowly next to the Raikou. They had been travelling all night, without a break or rest, and had only stopped for food once. Kiba, the Raikou, moaned softly.

"Can't we stop now? We've just gone past a really nice place to rest!!" his stomach growled. "Plus I'm hungry..."

Howl petted his head and said softly, "We'll stop when we reach the foot of the mountains.

The tall mountains loomed overhead. As soon as they put one foot on the rocks, Kiba flopped down onto his side. "Finally!" he yelped gratefully. He lifted his head to look at Howl. "You work yourself too hard." he sighed, before flopping down again and closing his eyes.

Howl looked at him kindly and lay her sword beside him, before sitting next to his head. The entei-coloured Raikou dozed off quickly in the warm breeze, and Howl looked up at the mountains. "We'll climb over them when we've rested." she said quietly, thinking out loud.

Seymour clambered off of Anima's head and dropped to the ground.

"You stay here Anima. If you see them flying away, signal me," he said. It was pretty pointless though. Anima was already asleep. Seymour sighed before walking off into the trees.

"Hey kid. You out here?" he called loudly. It never occured to him that his shouts could attract anything else.

"Hey kid with the Zapdos. Where are you?" he called.

Howl heard shouts nearby. Taking up her sword, she left the sleeping legendary and darted round the corner toward the source of the noise. She halted right in front of the intruder, holding her sword - still inside the sheath, ready to attack.

She saw that it was a boy, a few years older than herself, who had been calling out. She relaxed slightly, but did not drop her guard or her weapon.

Seymour jumped back in fright.

"Umm... hi," he said, keeping a cautious eye on the sword and trying to think of a way to signal Anima. He didn't know who this girl was but she seemed prepared to cut him in an instant. And he wasn't thinking of the cuts you get when you fall over.

"I don't surprise you're giving me that sword as a gift," he said hopefully. You never know what might happen.

At the same time, a young woman was flying over the mountains. No, she didn't have wings. She was riding a Ho-oh.

"Yuna," the Ho-oh said, calling Yunalesca by her short name.

"Can we stop now? We've been flying since yesterday morning. You're not the one doing the work you know," the Ho-oh complained. The woman smiled.

"OK Ifrit. I guess we can rest here for a while," she said. Anyone else and she would have refused but she couldn't say no to Ifrit. At least not twenty seven times in a row anyway.

The Ho-oh sighed in relief and flew downwards, preparing to land on the ground gracefully. Suddenly, he saw something.

"Hey Yuna. What's that?" he asked, nodding his head in a direction. Yuna followed his gaze and saw a large Rayquaza resting in a clearing, curled up in a spiral. She narrowed her eyes. Undoubtedly it was a wild legendary, resting after devouring a few hundred people. If Ifrit knew that, he'd want to fight it and save the lives of its next prey.

"Oh probably just a corpse," she said in a relaxed voice. Ifrit narrowed his eyes.

"It looks like it's just asleep to me. We shoul fight it before it hurts people," he said. Yunalesca sighed and covered her face with her hand.

"Fine. But next time we just fly by, OK?" she asked.

"Deal," Ifrit laughed and started to fly at the Rayquaza.

Howl growled lowly, wary of the boy. She released the sword just a little from the sheath, showing about 2 inches of the sharp, shiny blade. It was just a warning, and she wouldn't attack unless he forced her to.

Without moving the rest of her body, Howl flicked her hair out of her eyes with a sharp movement of the head, and whistled sharply.

She heard pounding footsteps; Kiba came charging round the corner and stood in a battle stance at her side. He lowered his head, his coat crackling with electricity, and barked once loudly.

As the loud bark sounded through the area, Anima heard it and woke up. He raised his head and looked around, wondering what had caused it. Suddenly he remembered that Seymour was looking for that kid with the Zapdos by himself. Who knew what trouble he was in. He raised his head and prepared to fly in the direction of the noise.

Before he had the chance however, a stream of golden stars hit the side of his head. Anima roared in pain as the Swift attack hit him. He looked in the direction of the attack and saw Ifrit flying at him. Unfortunately, Ifrit was right above him and he couldn't see the woman on top. Roaring in anger, Anima opened his mouth and sent a cold stream rushing at Ifrit with a Blizzard attack.

At the same time, Seymour heard the roar. The colour drained from his face as he recognized it.

"Oh god. Anima's in trouble," he said, and forgetting about the girl, he turned and started running back to the clearing.
