Alright everyone, this is a team that my friend came up with... and he seems to think its invulnerable. Ive found a few weaknesses in it myself, but its an overall solid team. He wants a second opinion, however. I as well am interested in what you guys have to say.

THE TEAM

PURPOSE

http://www.upokecenter.com/pictures/dp/poke450_3.png
Name: Hippowdon
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Impish
Ability: Sand Stream
EV:
HP-252
Def-126
SpD-126
Moves:
Earthquake
Stealth Rock
Slack Off
Roar
Purpose:

This was his starter. Sets up Stealth Rock, and is bulky enough to take a few hits while shuffling with roar. Slack off when you roar something in that is no threat to you, then continue to shuffle. Also a nice thing to have when you opponent's team is Steel-type heavy.

http://www.upokecenter.com/pictures/dp/poke242_3.png
Name: Blissey
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Calm
Ability: Natural Cure
EV:
Def-252
SpD-246
SpA-40
Moves:
Aromatherapy
Ice Beam
Toxic
Softboiled
Purpose:

Your typical cleric. When I battled my friend, I was pretty much sure that he was gonna use aromatherapy... but when I switched a physical sweeper in, I got a face full of Toxic. This Blissey was a kind of odd choice for my friend, but it seemed to work for him.

http://www.upokecenter.com/pictures/dp/poke094_3.png
Name: Gengar
Item: Life Orb
Nature: Timid
Ability: Levitate
EV:
Spe-252
SpA-252
Moves:
Shadow Ball
Hypnosis
Focus Blast
Thunderbolt
Purpose:

A special sweeper. Standard set. There's really no set purpose for it so much as to sweep according to what the opponent has.

http://www.upokecenter.com/pictures/dp/poke448_3.png
Name: Lucario
Item: Life Orb
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Inner Focus
EV:
Spe-252
Atk-252
Moves:
Close Combat
Ice Punch
Swords Dance
ExtremeSpeed
Purpose:

Ahh Lucario. An excellent physical sweeper. My friend would switch this in on something that was weak to either fighting or steel, and during the switch he would swords dance. Only something with a STAB earthquake and the ability to take a boosted Close Combat can take this thing down.

http://www.upokecenter.com/pictures/dp/poke214_3.png
Name: Heracross
Item: Choice Band
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Guts
EV:
Spe-252
Atk-252
Moves:
Close Combat
Megahorn
Stone Edge
Night Slash
Purpose:

CB heracross. For some reason, he wanted it to be fast... just for reference, it ends up with a 295 speed stat at level 100.

http://www.upokecenter.com/pictures/dp/poke248_3.png
Name: Tyranitar
Item: Choice Band
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Sand Stream
EV:
HP-176
Atk-252
Spe-80
Moves:
Stone Edge
Earthquake
Pursuit
Crunch
Purpose:

This can be REALLY handy to switch into Choice Specced Zammy's. One pursuit and they're done.

And that's that. Any suggestions would be appreciated on my friend's behalf. I'm sorry if I couldn't quite explain the purposes very well. It isn't my team, after all.

Go on the PE2K homepage and look in the top-right hand corner, you should see an option saying something like "Sprite Resource"

Needs more defence EVs to properly wall physical attacks. Those EVs allow you to survive 2 Outrages from salamence and those attack EVs garentee a OHKO from ice fang through intimidate iirc. Hippowdon really benefits from Ice fang to take on flyers like the afformentioned Mence, but if you choose to run two support moves then you can simply run 252HP/1522Def/100SpDef

Billsey, an odd choice? She's one of the best pokes in the game :P But yeah, consider flamethrower, ice is a poor offensive type and hits steels harder- everything else can be toxistalled.

If you're playing platinum bear in mind that hypnosis is now garbage so a final attacking move can be chosen. Otherwise fine, although don't forget about the final EV- every little helps.

Purpose:

Crunch is generally better for the second slot, the dark-fight combo hits everything in the game for neutral. Ice punch is also only really reserved for gliscor, who can be 2HKO'd by crunch after a swords dance and stealth rock damage. Likewise adamant is usually the preferred nature, since th boost in power is significant.

Aqua tail allows you to threaten opposing hiippowdon, which you will currently have trouble doing. Otherwise fine

And that's that. Any suggestions would be appreciated on my friend's behalf. I'm sorry if I couldn't quite explain the purposes very well. It isn't my team, after all.

Comments in bold. This team is wayyy too physically orientated, if gengar drops you will find it extremely difficult to harm any decent physical wall. As such I'd remove 1 of your 3 physical sweepers and bring in a mixed one in it's place (Don't be tempted to just make luke a mixed set, he sucks at dual-sweeping), preferably infernape as to threaten hippowdon with grass knot.

Thanks for fixing the EV spread, I thought it looked weird. Anyways, with the hippowdon, how about switching slack off out for Ice Fang? That way, hippowdon can still shuffle, but he'll take out any salamence's that might get switched in. Just an idea.

Billsey, an odd choice? She's one of the best pokes in the game :P But yeah, consider flamethrower, ice is a poor offensive type and hits steels harder- everything else can be toxistalled.

Duly noted. Bliss will take flamethrower instead. I was just mentioning how it was weird that he had a cleric bliss instead of a wishbliss, by the way.

I just checked the Adamant nature stat boost and yeah, its a lot more worthwhile. Lucario will probably get crunch now, seeing as he can 2HKO gliscor with stealth rock damage. Something I did not know, thank you.

Keep slack off on hippowdon, he needs it to wall effectively. Shuffling can be useful, but it's generally more effective if hippowdon is able to fend them off instead. Freeze hax is also a nice suprise occasionally.

Alright, so just get rid of roar?

Alright, so just get rid of roar?
Or stealth rock, whichever he deems less beneficial. Roar can PHaze, while stealth rock is continual latent damage that the opponent takes, and garenteeds the afformentioned 2HKO on gliscor. Bare in mind that gliscor isn't a fan of quad-strength ice fangs either. Ask him which he find most useful, and dump the other.
