VPP Banner Contest

[The Elite Ygseto]

Welcome to the first ever VPP banner contest! Here you can create a banner and have it judged for the top of the VPP thread. You also get a legendary!

- Size max is 500 x 150

- One entry per person please

- Must contain VPP in it and have some sort of pokemon theme

- No stock other than pokemon pictures

- Mods and Admins can't participate, but we will judge

- Winner gets thier banner at the top of the first post, and any legenday they would like (Even Rukario) without the requirments

- Noon (NY time) July 10th is the deadline

Eh, pichu looks out of place though, why not use a diffrent pokemon than Matthew?

I was the first to use a Pika (Pikachu, not pichu, however), but everybody seemed to ignore my banner (twice), and I got absolutely no comments on it.

I like it. I think the pikachu could get lost though, I like the egg.

Out of all the entries so far, I must say, I like D.2's the most. There's just something about it... and the stock used is good because Pikachu appears to be giving someone an egg.

Only thing I don't like about D2's is that the Pikachu is too subtle... I could barely see it there.

It's not like I lost the stock, I could always make it brighter. I tried once, but I guess it didn't work, but I can fix it easily. FShadow, I thikn the two black blocks on the top left and bottom right corners are unneeded. It'd look better with a regular border.

Its my first banner so it may not be very good.

I made this with MSpaint. i have a question. I see a lot of Banners with cool backrounds and was wonering if you can make those with photoshop. if so i am definitely getting it.

Ionem - 5/10
I like the images, but its dull and black. Not like the VPP.

Alex - 5/10
The images are all in their boxes. I do like the text though. XD

D2 - 10/10
Very good, but the pika is to transparent.

Matthew - 10/10
Very good, just need to change that text. XD

Lan - 5/10, 5/10, and 6/10
They all are kinda strange. And the pika looks out of place.

FShadow - 7/10
If you didn't have such a dark backround, this would of been my fave.

Note: I'm a harsher marker then Ygseto, but I do not mean any insult by my grades, I still love you all :tongue:

Ionem - 5/10
An average banner, with average stock. No background at all. Boring.

Alex - 2/10
Same as Ionem, only the stock is worse, and the text is out of place. Fire effect goes beyond the top, losing the fire quality.

D2 - 10/10
I <3 this banner. I personally believe the stock, though faded, looks fine where it is. Animation is simple, yet good.

Matthew - 9/10
I <3 this banner too, but I gotta set the break between D2 and you Matthew. I like D.2's more, but this banner is still fantastic.

Lan - 5/10, 5/10, and 5/10
Average, average and average. Boring, and the stock is horribly out of place.

FShadow - 8/10
Honourable mention, because I love the Johto Starters. More colour in the background, I probably would have chosen this.

Pika57 - 5/10
Interesting concept...but you're only a paint user I can see. Not terrible...but not good. A+ for effort.

Thanks Ygseto. I'd have to check, but I'm just about ready for my legendary. I decided that, though Mew is special, Rukario is cooler. And you speeled a lot of stuff wrong in the new VPP thread. You may want to check that out. Not just the pokemon names, but a lot of other stuff too. Sorry, it just bothers me when formal threads have spelling mistakes.
