Can you go to Office Depo, or Office Max just upgrade Vista Ultimate? I don't want to buy 320 for 1 CD. My 2007 laptop does say "Design for Windows XP - Windows Vista Capable."

Oh yeah, and please don't tell me, Vista is worst and slow, and blah blah blah. I used Vista before, and I loved it. But it was someone elses. It was the best operating system I have ever used before in my life. You can have bubbles all over your screen and every other cool features too, such as transparent pages. The web browsers that I have are Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome, and Opera. And the reason why some people think Vista is slow because they have cheap ass laptops and desktops with crappy hardware. Some are NOT even capable for their computers, nor recommended. I do perfer the desktops over laptops, not the poor ones, the advance touch screen units.

My dad has Windows Vista, and he loves it! I'm sure you are going to have to pay something to upgrade, but it should be possible if you buy the CD from a Staples, Office Depot, or computer specialist store.

Vista is just Microsoft's half-assed way of copying a Mac. You must have not used Vista much since it's riddled with bugs.

Just wait for Windows 7. The beta is up for it already, but what do I know. I'm a Mac user.

I agree. I love Mac!

my dad just has Vista, so I use it sometimes and its pretty cool.

so if you are set on getting Vista, get it, but look at other options. Have you ever tried out Mac OS X?

Actually it is not.
I have been using Vista for almost a year and a half and I have yet to find one flaw.
I am tired of people saying that.
If you have bugs it is because you don't know how to use the computer properly.

And don't worry about ultimate there is really no difference between it and home premium.

You don't think it's bad? Than why do you think Microsoft is cranking out Windows 7 so fast? It's been two years since Vista was released.

Vista is retarded. I wish I had downgraded to XP when I had the chance. My computer suffers Windows Vista freeze rape like twice a week. So f-ing annoying.

It's more like you find the bugs when you DO know how to use a computer. :/
Stuff bugs out. Incompatabilities. Hardware stuff. Etc.

Tory, I am not a big fan of the windows operating system, but I have high hopes for Windows 7. I would seriously wait for that, since it will be better and still have the windows aero look to it.

Oh, and Vista is indeed a half-assed Mac. Using a mac for 3 years tells you as much as soon as you touch vista.

Thanks everyone but I don't like Mac computers. Vista coped off of Mac OS X? lol, Apple first coped Microsoft for years.

Will Windows 7 be the final name?

Yea, and they both copied Xerox for something everybody can identify with today. The Mouse.

Yes, Windows 7 shall be the final name.

I don't like Apple computers, but I like iPods and iTunes. I used Mac OS X in this art class, and everyone, including me was complaining that they were slow, and crash so much. But I shouldn't blame Mac OS X over only one classroom though.

Yea, usually school computers suck so badly you blame the operating system. I kinda don't like windows that much because of school and lack of windows in my life. After looking at all the bad things about it too, bleh. I just got used to other operating systems, but that doesn't mean windows is bad. I just dislike vista so much because every single time I've used it, there's always been a problem. I'm a computer person, and I like to do things that most regular people don't (play around with python, command prompt, overclock, run high-end games, etc.).

If you really want it that bad, drop me a pm ;P.
Ehhh, I dunno if he would want to do that. He might be a person who wants to pay to support microsoft. :s

Um, yeah. I have Vista. It's okay, I don't really pay much attention to operating system stuff.

Vista is good, if you have the hardware to run it properly.
Built my own pc, and it's been running for 6 months now with only 4 recorded freezes where I had to restart it.

Oh, and Windows 7 looks more like a real copy off Mac OSX

But Microsoft has been ripped off from Apple so many years since the 80s.

I'm using Windows Vista for almost 4 months now, using a Toshiba laptop, and I havn't had any problems whatsoever.

I have Vista, and when I got it I thought it was the coolest thing ever to grace my house. But now the novelty has worn off, but I still love it. :3

I don't really reccomend it as it isn't exactly a MUST-HAVE, but it's nice. And no way is it slow. xD

However it isn't good for gaming, which was a disappointment. Some games work, some don't, it's just how it goes with Vista. But for browsing the net and speed, it's perfect.

The only thing Vista seems to have some small problems with is games, and it's still not a big deal.
