Stage 2 of sign ups:

PM or IM me your team. I'll assign you a rented mon. After all teams have been determined, I will make all teams public. You have 10 days to send me your team, or you will be disqualified. GMT-5 time.


As you can tell, it's not another generic tourney. Why is that do you ask? Because this tournament ISN'T another generic tourney. I'm sure you all know that there are four generations of pokemon. Have you ever thought, " In my day, all we had were Snorlax and Alakazam! They could beat the socks off these freaky new Sinnoh pokemon!". Well, now is your chance to prove it.


Brackets:

Bracket 1: Only RBY Pokemon may be used.


Bracket 2: Only GSC Pokemon may be used.


Bracket 3: Only RSE Pokemon may be used.


Bracket4: Only DP Pokemon may be used.

Note: If too many people are signed up for a single bracket, you may be moved. Bracket choice is on a first come, first serve basis.

Rules:

1. Depending on which bracket you are placed in, only certain pokemon may be used (as shown above).

2. You will choose 3 of your own pokemon and will be assigned one rented pokemon.

3. If you end up in a bracket where you do not have enough pokemon to compete, you may use a pokemon who is a member of a pokemon family that was first released in that Generation.

Example: Electivire may be used in DP and RBY. It may NOT be used in GSC, despite the fact Elekid was released in it. Electabuzz was the first member of this pokemon family to be released and was released in RBY, therefore, Electivire is only allowed in RBY and DP.

4. After each victory, you may swap your current rented pokemon with your opponents.

5. As well as swapping rented pokemon, you may also add a TM/EM/MT to whichever rented pokemon you decide upon after a victory.

6. You may only use 2 of your owned pokemon for each battle. Your rented pokemon must be used, unless you defeat all three of your opponents pokemon without using your third pokemon (in this scenario, your rented pokemon).

Yes, you use DP level up moves regardless of your bracket. This starts in roughly two weeks.

1. Each bracket only uses pokemon from a certain region, so yes, each region has its own bracket.

2. I will randomly assign you rents and it will only count Fully evolved/singe stage pokemon from that generation.

3. The Champions face off against another random champion and the remaining two face each other as well. The two winners, as you would guess, face each other for first/second place. The third/fourth place contestants battle it out for third.

4. No, the title is perfect.

I'm not sure I completely understand the question, but I understand what you do not. Basically, each bracket battles it out until one person remains in each. The the winners of each bracket are randomly chose to fight each other. The two winners of those battles face off for first/second, while the other two bracket champs take on each other for third/fourth.

Sorry, I missed your question. Held items are not on for the tourney.

Basics are not counted on the roll for a rent.

You can swap your rented mons after each battle with your opponents as well as adding a TM to the rent you chose. That is, if you win :tongue:

I brought this up too, because I agree that someone who manages to win their entire bracket deserves at least something in the way of prizes.

Some of my suggestions were maybe a TM, Hold Item or Mart mon of choice, something along those lines. Or even perhaps a Pokemon in the writing category below what third place would get.

Where did you hear you are free to add moves to your rent? You are not. You may add a TM to your rent after a victory (regardless of whether you swapped for it or not). You do not keep these TMs after the tourney, even if you keep your rent as a reward.

You add a TM after each round you win, it doesn't cost you anything.

You get the moves the previous owner added and you do still get to add another move. You do not keep the moves that you used on the other rent you had.

there is a 10-day limit to end teams, so if by any chance somebody doesn't send, they're disqualified.

True enough, through, you'd need to have four different teams ready, if you want to koin, as you don't know from which bracket somebody will drop out, if any.

I asked WTP about this, and one person will get a bye. It'll be randomly rolled from the two on the top and bottom of the list for each bracket. The person who gets a bye doesn't get to add a TM onto their mon.
