Which Band is Better: Coldplay OR U2

I've been with Coldplay for as long as I can remember.

Coldplay are simply the winners, imo.

Who are they? I mean, really.

Coldplay. I mean, I love U2, but Bono's not exactly the best singer you can have, and Coldplay has a more genuine feel to their songs, a greater originality and variability in their songs. I mean, "White Shadows" is relatively simple, but the synthesis of all the instruments just "clicks", whereas "Beautiful Day" my be a great song, but at the end of the day, it seems relatively streamlined and repetitive if you listen to it quite a bit. It doesn't have much lasting effect.

But, don't get me wrong; U2 is amazing. Between "With Or Without You" and "Where The Street Have No Name", they're already one of my favorite bands, period.

Well, it depends. Those commercials were from like 2005-2006. Still, everyone should know who U2 is.

Also, Dancing Mad, you just have a different taste than most people. I mean, I'm one of the few that can tolerate Judas Priest and Bob Dylan at the same time, but most people aren't so versatile. We don't all share the same views, and so, if these bands don't interest you, don't post in this topic.

Besides, if you have gripes about which bands people usually want to compare, theen just make a thread yourself...

Hands down, Coldplay. I don't paticually like them, but their music is so much better than U2.
