Gym Leaders across the Nation, I invite you to a Great Event, one which only takes place once a decade. An event strictly by invitation only, inviting only the most powerful gym leaders from towns across all regions.
The Therah Island Tag Tournament
The rules of this tournament are simple. You may bring six Pokemon and six Pokemon only to the island. All Pokemon must be at least partly your specialist type. You will live and battle on Therah Island for a predetermined period of time, points will be awarded for each battle, with the winning trainers achieving a special prize. During the first day of the Tournament you must decide on your Tag Team partner which you must stick with for the remainder of the tournament.
All participants will have access to a private cabin and restroom, communal cooking, dining and living areas. There is also access to a communal training area and Pokemon Centre. We hope you enjoy your stay.
To make use of this very rare opportunity, we request you travel to Vermillion City Harbour, where we will ferry you to Therah island. The Ferry will make its voyage in 7 days, at 10am.
Thankyou.
To cut a long story short, you are a Gym Leader given a mysterious message inviting you to a secret, exclusive tag team tournament on an unknown island. Your character must be a gym leader (existing or made up) but they must be from a town corresponding to the type they use (For example, a Rock Type Gym Leader from Pewter City). You must choose your tag team partner while inside the RP, and live and battle on Therah Island.
A couple of Rules…
1. No Godmodding - You are not invincible
2. No Bunnying without the users permission
3. PG-13 Language and Romance
4. Don’t spam
5. One Pseudo-Legendary Per Person
6. No catching/stealing pokemon - Evolving is fine
7. Correct Grammar/Spelling
8. Currently, only one SU left - First come first served basis!
9. Enjoy!

Minutes after recieving the strange message, Jack took it out to his Pokemon, who were training in the main pool in his Sootopolis City Gym. Obviously, they were itching to go. Jack however, was not so sure, questioning the legitimacy of the message in his head. Either way, he wanted to stretch his legs and do a bit of travelling, so he packed up a drawstring bag of supplies for the tournament and set off. He left ownership of the gym to Bruce, a hulking, muscular trainer, who owned a Sharpedo, Huntail and Tentacruel, amongst others.
He arrived, unsurprisingly, on his water Pokemon, mainly his Gyarados and Blastoise, as they were the biggest. He changed them on a regular basis to allow breaks, and they stopped at several ports along the way to get food and rest. He had arrived in time for the event, at Vermillion City harbour. He gathered his Pokemon back into their balls and began looking around the vast port city, to try and find where the boat taking them to this mysterious island might be.
To his surprise, it was not a boat at all. It was a submarine. A man in a white lab coat and black balaclava holding a sign saying 'Therah Island - Invitation Only' had allowed him onto the submarine, where another man dressed the same escourted him to a comfortable cabin, which locked behind him. He was told this was to stop participants contacting eachother before they arrived on the island.
The journey did not last long, the submarine must have been supercharged somewhat, as Jack fell over in his cabin as it left port. And this must have been fast, his sea legs were good... he wasnt called Tsunami back home for nothing. Upon arrival on the island facility, he walked down the narrow path from a small jetty to a large, well designed building, set apon a rocky outcrop in the middle of the ocean, with small sandy beaches on either side, which would obviously be swallowed up every high tide. Nice place, he thought as he entered the main foyer of the building. From here he could see corridors leading to the dorms, kitchens, the large lounge and training area with a Pokemon Centre. Through an elevator, he could have reached the rooftop battle facility, where the tournament matches would have been held.
He stood around in the foyer waiting for someone to walk in behind him. Obviously they were being let out in single file aswell.

Elessa jumped down from Caiaphas' shoulder as he opened the strange envelope. Caiaphas then moved from the apartment's kitchen to the lounging room and began scanning over the letter, Elessa following him close behind. The letter told him that he was invited to an exclusive tournament for gym leaders from around the world, and in seven days! Going through the list of gym leaders he knew off of the top of his head, he wondered who would pose a challenge to him, and who could be a valuable asset as a tag team partner. Either way, he had made his decision. He was going. What did he have to lose?
Caiaphas threw the five other PokeBalls into the air, and out came the rest of his team. Starla gracefully landed in the full sink, barely making a splash; Bert emerged from behind the kitchen counter, his branches brushing the ceiling of the apartment; Scat appeared in the air, flying around gleefully; Rekhyt landed in the middle of the lounging area, where there was the most space for him; and Farqual appeared at Caiaphas' side, looking as stately as ever. Elessa sat upon the arm of one of the white leather sofas and eyed Caiaphas curiously.
"We're going away for a bit," Caiaphas announced, and his team responded with some surprise and wonder, "we've been invited to a tournament." They all seemed to be happy with that, in fact Rekhyt and Farqual smirked at the thought of battling different, more experienced trainers. "Seven days 'till the boat leaves. Lets get training."
Over the next week, Caiaphas began training with his Pokemon for most of the days. He had managed to organize the gym for the time that he'd be gone as well. His friend, Peter, would be taking over the gym with his team, who Caiaphas knew to be pretty skilled. However, as Caiaphas looked out the window of his training room and over Saffron city, he gripped his luggage tightly. He had a bad feeling about this tournament.
Caiaphas reminisced his days growing up with Elessa, who slept in his lap the whole ride, as he traveled by train to Vermillion city. The sun was just rising on the horizon, and its rays of light beamed into the train car. He jumped off of the train pretty solemnly, as he had no idea what to expect of this island tournament. He wondered endlessly what was going to happen, and his eagerness caused him to be the first one at the harbor. Lowering himself into the submarine that was supposed to take him to the island, he faintly heard the man in the lab coat tell him that he would have to stay in his cabin until they arrived. Caiaphas looked at his watch, he had about two hours.
Soon enough, the submarine started moving very, very quickly. It started so swiftly that Caiaphas flew off of his seat and slammed into the cabin wall. Gotta love supped up submarines, he thought to himself with a grin on his face. He got up and brushed himself off, found Elessa under the cabin's bed -- who had been woken up from the sudden movement -- and in no time they had arrived.
Eventually one of the mysterious men unlocked his cabin and let him out of the submarine. Caiaphas fumbled around on the dock for a moment before he regained his balance, and followed the trail up to a very large building. Elessa climbed up his back and up onto his shoulder while he stood there gazing at the building. A doorman led him into the building and up into his room. No sign of any other gym leaders yet. Caiaphas had an uncanny feeling that something was wrong, but he told himself that he was going to be fine.

Nate tried to take the letter addressed to him from Ichi, his Dragonair. Unfortunately, he missed, and a timely breeze carried it inside the gym. "Shoot!" the gym leader shouted, and scrambled inside. If the letter touched any of the molten lava that filled the gym, it was, quite literally toast. With a huge madcap dash, all of the trainers in the gym tried to catch it, but the spiteful breeze made it elude everyone's grasp until it fell to the feet of the person Nate least expected.
The person picked up the letter. "Did you drop this Nate?" Clair asked, her eyes showing a hint of delight at her student's lack of coordination.
"Uh," Nate stopped in front of his teacher and shuffled his feet nervously. "I had no idea you were back in Blackthorn Miss Clair."
"No need to be so formal Nate. Anyways, you think I'd let the gym stay empty?"
Nate was now thoroughly confused. "The gym...empty?"
"For the love of Arceus, read it already!" the leader shouted in mock frustration, and Nate quickly grabbed and ripped open the letter.
"Blah, blah, blah." Nate skimmed the document. "A tournament for Gym Leaders? Don't you think you should go Miss, er, Clair?"
"I'm not the leader officially, so I'm not qualified. And it's addressed to you." The woman surprised Nate by pulling him close. "Go and pack, and if you lose, never step foot in this town again." Her voice had all the steel of the threat, but her eyes were dancing playfully.
"Thanks Clair!" Nate yelled, and then promptly tripped on a rock, causing him to barrel out of the gym.
***
So now Nate was here, on Therah Island, and was starting to depart from the submarine, since his seasickness had eased. "This is one small step for man, one giant leap for..." Nate didn't get to finish his Moon landing quote when he was knocked off the ramp by an oblivious sailor, getting a mouthful of sand for standing around. What a great start!

The rain was pouring all over the city, getting everything outside wet. I was a little stunned that this downpour hadn`t turned into a thunderstorm by now. Most people hated this type of weather, but I found it rather pleasing and soothing. The sounds of the droplets hitting the ground were great for my ears to hear. The window was hard to see through because of these droplets rolling both slowly and swiftly down the glass. I sat there, on the soft, faux leather sofa staring out my living room window. I did not feel like watching TV, surfing the web, or even reading the new depressing book I started last week. I knew I was spending my last few ten minutes at home. My flight was to leave in forty-five minutes, and I needed to leave in thirty. I guess I was a bit worried about the tourney, it was to be my first, and I didn’t want to let Petalburg or my Pokémon down.
“Bliss” mumbled Blissey carrying a small, cotton candy purse into the kitchen. I had told all my Pokémon to pack their favourite stuff up, for they wouldn`t be back home soon. This reminded me, I should probably get my suitcase out from my bedroom to the back entrance. I got up off the sofa, leaving some sag marks on it. I quickly started through the living room. The chocolate coloured carpet seemed softer than normal, the beige walls more lively than usual. I wondered if going away always like this, everything popping out more than it would on an average day. I started climbing the carpeted stairs; each step seemed heavier than the last. My room was the first in the hallway leading away from the staircase.
My room, painted midnight blue, seemed darker today. I guessed it was a mix of the rain outside and my leaving in a little while. My suitcase was sitting on the royal blue carpet, at the foot of my double bed. It was big, but this meant I only needed one bag instead of the average two. However, this also came with the burden of heaviness. Picking it up was not picnic, and neither was dragging it out of the room with hitting the large bookcase stationed beside the door. This left me wondering how I was going to get it down the stairs...

OOC: Sorry, but my grammar is broken. I'm gonna fix my post later.
IC:"Mail!"."Ah, you got an letter for me ninja?". Emerald took the letter out of ninja's claw and read it. "......Ah, an fun challenge for me." Emerald stepped out of his gym And whistled. 8 seconds later, Emerald was in the sky on the back of Corkscrew. "So, where are we going?". Emerald gave the letter to one head of Corkscrew, who let the second head read it. "Okay then.". "Watch out it's an tree!" Corkscrew flew to the left, eveding the giant tree in front of him. "Thank us for having two heads!".
Seven minutes later, Emerald was in the submarine, locked in his cabin. When the Submarine started moving, he almost fell over. "This submarine isn't safe...".
Emerald stepped out of the submarine, and gazed up on the giant building. "The guys who made this, get my respect!". Emerald stepped in the giant building, and looked at everything in the building.

Sydtall was walking around the gym. She loved the heat, and had many thoughts about putting some real lava in the gym. The logical benefits were none, but it would add some "awesomeness" toi her gym. She entered into the training room where her pokemon were hard at work. She clapped her hands and they lined up infront of her, awaiting her orders. She held up a letter and they all had a look of puzzlement on their little faces. She read the letter aloud and they all slowly started to fidgit. battleing for something more than just defending their title, without having to fake a loss, it would be perfect. "Do you guys think we should do this?" Sydtall said as she looked up from the letter. Her pokemon were already training again, obviously meaning yes. She told her most loyal student and friend, Flannery, to watch the gym for her, making Flannery the leader again.
She arrivied in Vermillion the next day. She showed her ticket to the man infront of the submarine. he nodded, and another man led her to her cabin. She was scared, water was her worst nightmare. She let out Svilties, her blaziken to help confront her. He wasn't the best underwater either, being a fire type. They kept their cool, even when the submarine forced them against a wall being so fast. When they stopped, the same man from before opened her door and led her out of the sub. She had never been to happy to see land. She could see 4 of trainers heading indoors, and she would make 5. She walked into the giant building, where everyone else was. it was quiet so she took it upon herself to start a conversation. "Hi everyone! I'm Sydtall, the fire gym leader from Hoenn. Who are you?" she knew some of the other leaders, but she just wanted to talk.

Ruby Moon had just finished packing her bags to leave for the tournament she had been invited to compete in. She grabbed her suitcase and placed her pokeballs in the bag hanging from her shoulder. Leaving only her shiny Umbreon, Moon, out to walk around with her.
"Ok, Eli," Ruby was briefing her brother on how to run the gym for about the fourth time, "The badges are kept-"
"In your room, in the safe under your bed. I know, just leave already!" Eli replied shoving his sister out the door and slamming it shut.
Ruby sighed, telling Moon to follow her, Ruby walked down to the train station to travel to Vermillion City an then barely made it on the boat that would take them to the island the tournament was on. Not lone after arriving, she found a small group of other leaders gathered together.
"Hi everyone! I'm Sydtall, the fire gym leader from Hoenn. Who are you?"
"I'm Ruby Moon, I'm the dark type gym leader of Shade City in the Shigumi region." Ruby replied with an icy tone. Her brother didn't call her the Ice Queen for no reason.

The suitcase had been murder to drag down the stairs, even with Kittie and Joy`s help. It was even harder to lift into the backseat of my silver Volkswagen Beetle, as the small trunk was already all full. The substitute leader was to come in the morning, a young man named Ralph, whom I`d never met. I was assured he was going to take good care of the gym, which was good enough for me. After all, if the building got wrecked, it was up to the league to take care of, not me.
Kittie sat on the passenger side of the car, being much quieter than usual. Her attention seemed to be fixed at the rain drops, which still fell mercilessly from the darkening sky. The windshield wipers did a great job at keeping the visibility reasonable, making the drive much easier. The local airport was downtown, which was a decent distance from my house and the gym. This didn`t bother me too much as I enjoyed going for a spin, even during the heavy rains. The fact that most people avoided driving in wet weather made things so much more peaceful.
I had pulled up in the long term parking lot shortly before my flight left. I was a little pinched on time, as I had the misfortune of getting most of the lights red. I was a bit worried about my solid brick of a suitcase. I was beginning to drag it out of the car, very slowly of course, when my Delcatty ran to me.
“Catty” she said, loudly, pointing ahead of my silver vehicle, to some dollies lined up against the red brick wall of the airport. I was glad and thanked Kittie for her help. Using the dolly, getting the heavy luggage to the terminal was a snap. There were just a few people inside, some chattering with relatives they hadn`t seen in a long time. Others were dressed in business suits and walked by in a hurried pace, having the air of being rushed. Therefore it was easy and fast to get myself checked out, and was found clean. I wasn`t worried, as I wasn`t trying to get cheeky with the law and store things that were not allowed on the plane.
I was stunned at how nice the aircraft was on the inside. The main color of the décor was a rich emerald green, which was used on the carpet and seats. I picked a window seat, and stared out the small, round transparent opening. I could still see rain falling, but it appeared to be weakening. Kittie, who was sitting right beside me, remained silent. I was a little surprised at her lack of words, but said nothing. Instead, I pulled out a small, hardcover book from my backpack. It was my depressing novel which I had not wanted to read earlier, and still didn`t want to, really. However, I started off from where I had left from, page 101.

Owen Reads the note given to him by his Duskinior. "it appears there is a tournament for trainers of our "Ranks" I will wipe them all out. As he reads he realizes that this trip to the island is tommorow. .He takes his ghost type pokemon up and gets ready for the ship ride the next day. He starts to resent going a little because he wont be able to scare anyone into loosing there consiousness but he is happy to be away for the gym. "Alright Joel you'll be in charge in my absence" he said to his best student. He arrives in Vermillion City the nmext day ready to battle " DuskKnight do you think we should team up with a dark or fighting type to cover ourselves or not?" On the submarine he looks for Gym Leaders to study make the battles on the island more of a easy battle but as he is riding he realises that no one has his teams weakness but one. When he arrives on the island he sees several trainers talking " Seems this is gonna be painstaking guys painstaking.............." He looks for someone who seems to have some competence and the type he needs to be covered with. "Any Dark or Fighting types here?" he says looking for someone to team up with. Seeing only one answer he realizes that this will be a breeze.
