Woohoo... though it's really my 5th tutorial ever made... this is my 3rd tutorial that I've posted here on pe2k... I did this because I'm bored but still... at least I can help you all in your GIMP-ing needs! :surp:

NOTE:

I forgot to add this on the tutorial:

(Additional tutorial in pentooling)

After stroking the path, use the eraser tool (fuzzy circles brush) and erase some parts that look bad on the focal to make it give some more effect.

Really nice tutorial ragna, the only thing is, instead of putting splatters on, you could have done a clipping mask which would have made it look better, and make Luvdisc flow in between the background.

Nice job overall. I might try it later today if I get the chance. :P

I fail at paths, btw.

Maybe I'll try another attempt at the tutorial.
