Shadow of Cipher (RP)

The Orre region is usually not considered to be a region by the many people outside of it because of how few people live there. Mostly desert, the region acts as a no-man's land for most criminal organizations, except for two.

Eight years ago, the criminal organization known as Cipher began making Pokemon with artificially closed hearts; Shadow Pokemon. These Pokemon were frightening; their ruthlessness was feared everywhere. They were defeated, however, by a young man from Team Snagem, a lower-ranked criminal group that steals Pokemon.

Three years ago, Cipher returned, with a Shadow Lugia, and eighty-two new Pokemon with closed hearts. Again they were defeated, and again the Orre region thought they were safe.

They were wrong.

Emergency News Broadcast

The screen flicked from whatever channel the people of Orre were watching to the ONBS station
"We interrupt this program for an important news broadcast! Minutes ago, the former members of Cipher- Nascour, Lorivanna, Erin, and several others- staged an attempted breakout that authorities are struggling to control. Live at the scene is Nett."

"It's madness out here! Somehow, Nascour managed to break free of his cell, and is breaking out the members of Cipher from the prison!" The tall, brown-haired Nett shouted over the sirens. Behind him, the huge prison complex was swarming with guards. Suddenly, huge hovercycles appeared, bearing a group of criminals well-known
"I'm here and I don't beleive it; Team Snagem has appeared and is helping the police to try to contain the breakout!" The camera zoomed in on Gonzap and his lackeys, facing off against the Cipher escapees. Suddenly, the camera flashed, and the signal was lost.


Newspaper article; BREAKOUT
Last night at the heavily guarded prison for Cipher members Nascour, Lorivana, Erin and the others was broken out. Team Snagem surprised the masses by turning out a defense as well, but there were too many Cipher peons released to stop them...


PLOT
Now that Nascour once more has the reins of Cipher, all peace in the Orre region is thrown off balance. In addition to their new Shadow Pokemon operation, they now have plans to develop a Snag Machine.

Being an upstanding citizen of the Orre region, you must band together with the Pokemon Researchers north of Gateon Port to combat this new threat.

3.Keep blood and stuff of that nature to a minimum.
4.Romance is allowed. Nothing more than you’d see in a PG-13 movie.
5.Try to keep swearing to a minimum.
6.You MAY be a member of Cipher or Team Snagem; just fill out the SU form as such.
7.If you’ve read the rules, put “Miror B. is da bomb” somewhere in your SU.
8.Rules are prone to change at any time, so be sure to check every now and again.

FIRST POST

Gonzap stormed through the ruined entrance of his ruined secret base that wasn't much of a secret any more, to find his men waiting for him
"Well? You're going to make me ask, aren't you?" Gonzap growled, crossing his arms. The first of the grunts spoke up
"Boss, Cipher's been spotted in their old base, and they popped in here right after you left and jacked one of our Snag Machines."
"GAH!" Gonzap punched the ruined wall, making yet another hole in the pockmarked wall. "Who was it!?"
"It was Nascour. He swarmed here with a group of weirdos in different colors."
"I'll get those freaks for this.... What are you standing there for?! You've got some idea of what to do, right?" He roared. The grunts nodded quickly "THEN GET TO IT!" The grunts scattered to du the duties they were always assigned; lookout, searching for Cipher, and polishing Gonzap's snag machine.


Nascour allowed himself the slightest of smiles. That fool Gonzap thought his men would be able to protect his base, but Nascour and his own troops, the Sixfold bros., swept through them easily as soon as Gonzap had left. Now, Nascour was looking upon his new prize; a genuine Snag Machine.
"What's that weird machine do, Boss?" Asked Redsix, peeking over Nascour's shoulder at the device
"It's a snag machine, you idiot; figure it out....Come to think of it, why are you six still here? Didn't I tell you to go help Lorivana?" Nascour growled, and the brightly dressed peon dived out of the was of a kick from his boss.
"Nope, ya sure didn't."
"THEN GET TO IT!" The six saluted, and filed out to Cipher's desert base. Nascour rubbed his forehead; What complete imbiciles... He thought.


((Since no one signed up for Prof. Krane, I'll control him for now.))

Professor Krane was in his lab, working on the purification system for Cipher's XD001, the Shadow Lugia. He wasn't having much luck, though. He paused in his enledd series of equations, tapping his chin thoughtfuly, when his assistant walked in
"Professor? You should come see the TV, something's going on." He said, gesturing to it. "I already told everyone else."
"Thanks for the heads up." Krane replied, standing and leaving his office.

In a few moments, he entered a room with a television, the only one on the grounds, and watched the news report; Cipher had escaped, and was about again.
"Hmm..." Krane thought for a moment, and spotted Jovi "Jovi, would you round up everyone here for me, and ask them to meet me in the lobby? I need to talk to them."

Jovi

Jovi looked up as she walked by Prof. Krane's office and the Professor spoke to her. She nodded as her Vaporeon wound itself around her legs, purring "Yes Prof. Krane, I'll go see who I can find." she replied, trying to run off and tripping over Mist in the process. The Vaporeon mewed in protest and Jovi stood back up. "Oopsie. I'll be back!" she called, dashing off to see who she could find.

Aki

Aki Shibayama sighed and kept a light grip on her Gardevoir's hand, the nurses in the psyche ward were on her again. She snorted and under the bandages covering them, her sightless deep green eyes rolled from habit and wished for about the millionth time that she was back home where none of this crap concerned her. Of course, if not for Cipher, she'd be back home with no worries and her sight--but Cipher existed and she was here now. Oh well, at least here at the HQ Lab they fed her and respected her, which was more than what Cipher had done. That and at least Celebi could visit her here and she could keep it secret.

She turned as she heard the thud of shoes in the hall, and there was no mistaking their maker. Aki could pick up on the vibrations without even send vibrations of her own. Her mind automatically formed a picture of Jovi sprinting down the hall with her vaporeon at her side--it was clear even though she had socks on. "Hey jovi, what's the rush?" Aki asked playfully, she liked the younger girl--Jovi reminded her of her own sister, Amira.

Jovi and Aki

Jovi skidded to a stop in front of Aki, panting. "Prof. Krane wants to meet everyone in the lobby. Says he needs to talk to everyone. Hey, do you know where Fausto's at?" she asked. Aki grinned, it seemed everyone assumed she knew where Fausto was 24/7--and she did. Unless he was out and about the lab with her, he was usually holed up in his room with the lights off, hunched over his computer, doing work for Prof. Krane.

"Yes, I'm pretty sure I do, Jovi. But I'l go get him, you go find others." Aki told her. Jovi nodded, her blue ponytails bobbing.

"Okay!" she said, then darted off again, leaving Aki alone. Aki sighed and removed her socks, and then broke int a sprint down the hall in the other direction. This was going to be interesting.

Aki and Fausto

Aki didn't bother to knock, she just walked into Fausto's room like she owned the place. "Hey Fausto, meeting." she said with a sigh, she heard the staccato sound of Fausto's fingers on the keyboard stop, then another sigh answering her first.

"You're kidding me. Please tell me you are freaking joking Aki." Fausto moaned, Aki shook her head.

"Nope. Sorry, but I'm not. Jovi told me--we're meeting in the lobby." she said. Fausto rolled backward and stood.

"Let's get going then." He said, taking Aki by the arm and leading her out the room.

OOC: I'll post for Jovi again when someone else posts.

[Giratina]

Miror B bobbed his head slightly, the movement made greatly exaggerated by the Almighty Pokeball Afro sitting atop it.

"Dah-nah, dah-na-nah-nah, da-nah-nah-nah..." he murmured, clearly lost in his theme song. (Yes, Miror B composed a theme song. Got a proble with that?) A Lombre skulked behind him - clearly attempting to follow his instructor, the Pokemon was bobbing his head in time with Miror's.

They were in the Snagem base - after the totally-superior Team Cipher had swarmed it, the totally-inferior Team Snagem were powerless to stop them. Miror B paused for a beat to wonder what on Earth he was doing here, and then remembered - ah, yes. He was expected to wait around the base and arrive to the rescue if Nascour and the (rather thick-skulled and thick footed) Hexagon Brothers ever screwed up.

Miror B crossed his arms over the gold leisure suit he was wearing. Who needed to help them? Nascour could control those morons for the most part.

What this place needed was some fun.

He gestured to the Lombre to follow him, who snapped out of the sulking trance to follow eagerly. It couldn't help but wonder if they were going to practice, but instead Miror B peered inside a room about halfway down a long hallway. He made some mumbled comments, and then opened the door - slamming it against the wall in the process. The Snagem guys who were sitting at the control panel turned around and started yelling at him.

Miror B simply laughed and gestured to Lombre, who was already in motion.

"Formation B4... Battle Dance!" he cried cheerily, as the Lombre hopped up and dug its claws into the flesh of the first one's face. Screeching, it hooked on with its back paws and began to literally slap the man into submission, clawing him in the process. With a screech of pain, the man tumbled to the ground - but Lombre was already repeating the process.

Miror B giggled and smiled at Lombre, who chirped softly back to him.

"Now..." Miror B said, stepping over the unconscious bodies. "Lombre, what do you say we add some liveliness to this place? I've got no idea how to work this thing, but you do, right?" Alright, so Lombre wasn't a very good dancer yet. But he was smart and a good battler... but not a good dancer. Handy to have around, but not a good dancer. Yet.

Lombre hopped onto the control panel and, after some whispered commands from his Trainer, pressed some buttons and inserted something into a slot. Pressing another button, Miror B literally squealed in happiness as his idea of 'liveliness' filled the building.

Gonzap, team Snagem's not-so-secret base
Gonzap was so enraged by the music blasting that he literally broke the door with the force of his entrance
"YOU!" Gonzap roared, the veins of his neck bulging threatningly "What do you think you're doing here, Pipsqueak!?" His hands curled into fists around two of his Pokeballs. He didn't wait for Miror B. to respond.
"Electrode, Vileplume, at attention!" He shouted as the two appeared in flashes of red light, both of them glaring at Miror B with the same intensity as Gonzap.


Prof. Krane, Pokemon Research Lab

"Fausto, there you are." Krane said to him as he passed "I'm glad to see you've actually left your computer. I'll be down to the lobby in a few minutes, I just need to check on our lugia to see if we've been able to make any progress." He gave a wave, and kept on.

Fausto laughed at Krane's comment and pointed at Aki "Well, this one here needs somebody who can put up with her that won't drive her crazy. You know how she is about the doctors." He said playfully. Aki frowned and tackled him with a dark laugh, tugging loose the bandages covering her eyes so they fell loose around her neck.

"Now what about me and doctors?" She asked softly, raising her eyebrows and managing to look almost like she was still able to see. Fausto laughed, she had a killer glare when she wanted to, she was a good actor when it came to playing it like she wasn't blind.

Cou and Ren in Pyrite Town

Cou and Ren were walking towards the Coliseum intending to battle someone who had challenged them unexpectedly the day before. As they were about to cross the bridge Ren looked over at ONBS and saw a crowd of people gathered around the entrance. Above this was a large TV screen that had been put up so that anyone passing by could watch the news.

“Cou, something’s going on over at ONBS. Let’s take a look, okay?” Ren asked looking up at Cou almost smirking but with just the slightest hint of sadness on her face, a look she had perfected in order to get what she wanted from him.

“Sure, let’s see what’s up,” Cou agreed without even trying to argue, and walked in the direction of ONBS. When they had gotten closer he tapped one of the spectators gathered on the shoulder and asked, “What’s going on here?”

“Cipher broke out of prison,” replied the old man, barely turning to look at Cou, unwilling to take his eyes off the large TV screen, as if to do so for even a moment would erase all he knew of the events so far, “Team Snagem came to stop him, but he still managed to get away.”

Cou nodded his thanks to the old man who must have noticed the movement out of the corner of his eyes, for having still not taken his eyes off the TV he waved Cou away as if the mere presence of Cou and Ren disturbed him. They turned to again head towards the Coliseum for the battle that awaited them inside.

“Do you think we should stop Cipher?” Ren asked, as she walked beside Cou across the bridge.

“We’ll offer our assistance after this battle,” replied Cou, his eyes drifted up at the Coliseum in front of them as they passed through the entrance way. He tried not to think about Cipher. He knew he had to help stop them, but this battle was his priority now, no matter how dangerous Cipher was to them all. Cou held back a smile at Ren’s eagerness, her readiness to offer their help to any cause. That eagerness could be reckless at times, and it took all his self control not to charge after her to bring Cipher down instead of following through with the battle.

They walked up to the reception desk just inside the doors. The receptionist looked up at them, in turn looking them each up and down.

“You wouldn’t happen to be Cou and Ren would you,” she asked, her voice flat as though she knew for a fact they were but was required to ask the question regardless.

“Yes, that’s us,” Cou replied, confused, “how did you know that?”

“The one who challenged you gave your names,” she replied and shuffled the papers that were in front of her on the desk, “but not his. You may enter the battle area,” she said and raised the bar so that they may pass.

As they walked through the entrance into the battle area the crowd began to cheer. The cheer rolled throughout the coliseum as each spectator turned to see Cou and Ren enter, and threw their arms up and their heads back in such applause that Cou had never heard before. He concentrated on his breathing in order not to allow his smile to show through and kept his eyes trained straight ahead on his challenger. But his surprise he could not hide as his eyes focused on the form of his challenger, a ghost from his home town who paced back and forth waiting.

“So Cou,” the challenger snarled when Cou had noticed him, “are you ready to give back what you stole from me three years ago? Don’t look to her, you know what I’m talking about.”

“I didn’t steal anything from you, Wolf. They chose me over everyone our age,” responded Cou.

“You weren’t supposed to be there that day!” screamed Wolf, clenching his fists, beginning to shake, “Why were you still in town that day?”

“The train was delayed for two days, had it been on time I wouldn’t have been there,” replied Cou, his face growing red at having to defend himself against chance, against circumstances of years ago that were out of his control, “And who are you to question me about that, you’re breaking the rules right now, Wolf, by coming here and challenging me for them.”

“I don’t care for the rules anymore,” Wolf snarled, lowering his head to glare at Cou, “they should have been mind that day.”

“Wolf, you know that once they pick someone no one can take them, they can’t be given up,” Ren said, unable to maintain her silence any longer.

“Then I will take them by force,” said Wolf as he pulled out two Pokeballs and threw them into the sky. Machoke and Onix came out and headed straight for Cou, Before they could get close enough to hit him however, Lastias and Lastos emerged from his own Pokeballs and intersected them before they could hurt their master.

“What? How did they come out when I didn’t call them?” Cou asked himself, his arms still out in front of his face.

“They won’t let anyone or any Pokemon hurt their trained Cou; don’t you remember what the Major told you after you picked them up,” called Ren from behind him, sensing his confusion.

“Yes, I remember,” he replied, not taking his eyes off Wolf. With his back to Ren he doesn’t see what is happening to her.

“Cou, we need… need to…” Ren tried to say as she fell to the floor.

Hearing her voice trail off Cou had just turned to look at her as she fell. He rushed over to her, kneeling beside her and holding her up in his lap.

“Ren? No… no, not this again,” he said as she tried opening her eyes.

“What’s wrong with her,” Wolf demanded.

“She reacts to difference Pokemon emotions,” Cou snapped over his shoulder, glaring at Wolf for a moment before turning his attention back to Ren. “As if you care,” he growling through gritted teeth.

“I’m… I’m fine, Cou,” Ren said weakly.

“No you’re not. This is what happened three years ago, Ren. Remember, you were in bed four days that time.”

“Three years ago? That’s when these two came to me,” Wolf said to himself, then looking directly at Cou, “That means your training wasn’t delayed, you stayed to look after Ren.”

“Yes, and I need to get her away from your Pokemon right now,” Cou said angrily, not wishing to explain everything.

“You are not leaving here without giving them to me,” declared Wolf.

“Fine,” said Cou, looking around for his Pokemon, “Lastias, Lastos: EQ now!”

He waited for them to use earthquake, and for Wolf’s Pokemon to both faint before he turned to them again, “Come on you two, back into your Pokeballs now so we can get out of here.”

They both went back into their balls as Cou knelt to pick up Ren, and ran as quickly as he could from the Coliseum towards the entrance to the town with her in his arms. As they approached the entrance he heard a voice call out to him, “Hey, did you win or lose?”

“I won,” Cou called to Cail, recognizing his voice without looking over at him, “but I have to go, we have to get out of here.”

Cou ran to his bike, getting into the driver’s seat and told Ren to hold onto him. He started the bike up and shot off towards HQ Lab.

“I can’t believe Wolf would break the rules of our town so easily,” he said, more to himself then anyone else as he drove.

“Cou, where are we going?” Ren asked, holding on weakly.

“HQ Lab,” he replied, looking down at her, “to find out what’s happening to you, and to find out why those Pokemon attacked me like that.”

Wes/Pokemon Research Lab

I was walking around in the room with the Shadow Lugia, Flygon wobbling behind. "He's magnificint right, mate." I said to Flygon. Flygon eyed the Lugia carefully and nodded. Flygon turned his gaze towards Wes. He let out a low moan. I could see that it was bothering him as well. "I know, I'm going to find a way to help out with the purification of Lugia." I promised. "Him, along with the other shadow Pokemon. None of them deserve to be in this condition." Flygon roared and nodded his head. "I don't know how, but I'm going to find a way to purify you. Just hang in there for a while longer. I said to myself.

Flygon nudged my shoulder and cut my trance. "We're going to catch as many shadow Pokemon as we'll can okay partner." I said looking at my snag machine. "Purifying them is going to be tough, but we'll get them all purified." I felt my Pokeballs shake and knew that my Pokemon also agreed with me.

Venus was, simply put, exceedingly aggravated.

Nothing was going her way. And nothing had been going her way since she made her great return as one of Cipher's top bosses.

After being deported from Orre little more than eight years ago, she had decided to drop Cipher for a time to study the hard stuff, like the actual transformations of regular to shadow Pokemon and the mechanics of said transformations. However, it proved to be irritably hard work, and only a couple of months later she'd quit that to become an actor in the Kanto region. Of course, no one knew about Cipher there, did they? And she had a new image, anyway.

Needless to say, she was a hit. The critics loved her, the camera loved her, the people loved her. For eight years, she retaind her youth and style, living the good life, traveling around the world. Everywhere she went, she performed beautifully. Venus was phenomenal.

However, there comes a time when even one's greatest dreams get old. Or, at least, such was the like for her.

Upon her return to Kanto one month, she'd just so happened to be at an important battle tournament. It made her remember the old days, where she would fight alongside her gorgeous team, stunning the crowd with each move they made. Suddenly, she began to yearn for those glory days. Because after all, wasn't she a hit on the battlefield, too?

And then, without further warning, Venus left Kanto to return to Orre. The first place she visited was her hometown, Pyrite. Memories flooded to her head, including those of her early childhood, where she would have to work extra hard to help her parents support their five children. It was tough, having a job at the age of eleven, but working tirelessly for her dreams certainly paid off. In any case, going incognita undoubtedly worked - she walked through the entire town without anybody noticing the famous Lady Venus as seen on TV. She'd walked stealthily and silently, so as not to ruin the atmosphere.

But shadows of the past were not the only thing Venus had found there.

Whilst turning out of an alleyway, a noise like crying had startled her. Upon further investigation, Venus discovered a strange, baby-like (yet nevertheless looking majestic and beautiful) Pokemon. Immediately, Venus had taken back the Jirachi to Cipher's lair (info of the location was promptly bestowed upon her as soon as she'd set foot in Orre). There, she was informed that this strange creature was a Jirachi, one of the rarest and most intriguing Pokemon in all the world. It was just Lady Venus's luck.

Just a giggle and a wink later, Venus had transformed the poor, injured Pokemon. She liked to think that it loved her just as much as she loved it: she would snuggle it and hug the living brains out of it every second of the day. In addition to her newly accustomed shadow menace, Venus immediately took to training and getting back in the groove of battling. She practiced by taking on some of her peons' entire teams of shadow Pokemon, annihilating them in the blink of an eye. And that was how it all came to be.

I've still got it. Lady Venus, you are simply the queen of the world.

But since then, and since her reunition with Nascour, Ein, Lovrina, and the others, nothing had turned out right. Yes, the shadow Pokemon were still in production, but what of XD001?

"Well, where is it?" she had demanded of one of the lab workers one day.
The man had blinked nervously. "It's, uh... well... it's with... the man, the scientist, you know... Krane."
"KRANE!?" Her roar made the scientist jump. "You're telling me that XD001, our Shadow Lugia, is in the hands of Krane?! And Arceus knows what they're doing to it...!"
She remembered the look of fear her words had caused him, and he'd nodded anxiously.
"UGH!" With that, Venus had thrown her hands up and stomped away, not bothering to say anything else to the poor man. That's not the job of the boss, anyway.
After that, Venus had learned some of the other stuff, like how the Snag Machine was being rebuilt. This was excellent, but she knew all too well that if Cipher had been stopped twice, it could easily be stopped again.

And simply that thought was what was making her so upset. How could the same thing happen again? Defeated, and twice? What were they doing? She smirked to herself. It must have been my absence.

Thinking about this on the battle and training grounds of the lair, Venus spoke her thoughts aloud to her Raichu. The rest of her team proceeded to hone their skills using each other as targets, heeding their master's commands.
"That certainly won't happen, Ruffles. Cipher won't go down again," she said softly, petting her electric-type down its head and body. "Simply unthinkable. Oh, no, not with Lady Venus around, don't you think?" Venus giggled, causing the Raichu's ears to perk up at the familiar sound.
Ruffles hummed and waved her tail lazily, signifying her agreement with Venus.

[Giratina]

"YOU!"

Miror B whipped around as Lombre pressed the button to silence the music. The door was reduced to splinters as Gonzap, dude with anger issues and Miror B's enemy, literally broke in. Before he could move, Gonzap had released two Pokemon (who were both as short-tempered as he was) and was in a very threatening position... to a normal, sane person.

Miror B simply grinned. "Ohhhhhh!" he said, removing a paper from his pocket and reading it. Laughing, he spoke again. "I was supposed to be in Pyrite, wasn't I? Ah well, too bad. I'm here already, so let's party, yeah?" He whipped out a handful of Pokeballs from his belt (where they were dangling from very shiny strings) and almost immediately the already-small room was made much smaller by the sudden appearance of five Ludicolo and an extremely cold-looking Dragonite.

Miror B gave a loud laugh. As if this was some sort of command, the seven Pokemon (Lombre included, but a few beats after everyone else) charged for the two (three?) Pokemon at the door.

The sun was shining brightly, as it usually did in Orre. However, there were some small, puffy clouds littering the sky, and occasionally, they blocked the sunlight. The wind was warm, but not nearly as much as in the southern, desert part of this region. This breeze was strong enough to get some of the weaker branches to sway and dirt from the road up heaved. The debris didn`t go too high off the ground and in some areas, was nonexistent. This was the perfect type of weather to drive my convertible, midnight blue Volkswagen Beetle (assuming they use the same cars in the Pokémon World) with the top down. This caused enough wind to get the loose strands of my orange hair to blow in my face, but I didn`t mind it much.

“How much longer” asked Mira, my Vaporeon, for the first time. It was the first time she spoke up in a little while, and her voice was soft as always. She was sitting nicely in the backseat; I assume she was looking at the beautiful scenery that Orre was not known for. When people thought of my Grandparent`s homeland, they envisioned miles of barren land with no sign of life for miles. This was true about the south, but I was always amazed at how much people overlooked the gorgeous scenery of the north. I guessed this was true about all things, people often ignore the good and focus on the bad.

“Not much, in fact, was should be getting there any minute now” I answered, trying to spot the large building in between the trees. So far, I`d spotted nothing. Mira did not ask any further questions or add anything else. That was typical for the water-type, she never said too much, usually. Her brothers were quite the opposite, however. I had to laugh thinking about Sparky and Furnace, for they always had something to say! Especially Sparky, he could talk for days, if he were given the chance. All of a sudden, I noticed a Pokéball hovering just above the tree line; it was small, but visible. I know this was the Lab, and that I wasn`t as close as I has thought, but getting there!

“That it?” inquired Mira for the second time. I figured she was looking at the red and white sphere, but I couldn`t tell for sure. I had to keep my eyes on the road to avoid crashing my car into the tall trees, which would suck to put it plainly.

"Yes it is" I answered as I toke the corner ahead of me.

"Excuse me, Lady Venus."

Furrowing her eyebrows and scowling, Venus groaned noisily. She refrained from turning to face her inquirer, instead continuing to stroke a purring Raichu. "What on earth do you want?"

"Er... sorry, ma'am, but you're urgently needed in the laboratory. Something about a Jira -- "
"Out of my way." In seconds, she was on her feet and out the door, knocking the man aside. Ruffles followed incompetently, while the rest of her team, puzzled, continue to battle in play; seeing as she hadn't bothered to return them.

Venus strode down the hallway, her ostentatious dress flowing behind her. The occasional armed peons saluted her as they passed her, only to be shoved away or stepped on. Ruffles, however, gave a cute squeak - or a jolt of electricity - to anyone she saw.
Up the elevator and directly down the hall stood two impossibly large metal doors, with a handprint and passcode security system. Venus impatiently slapped her hand down and stabbed the buttons, clapping her foot loudly against the floor. To this, Ruffles squealed and tugged the bottom of her clothes, but Venus paid no mind. This was about her prized possession - the shadow Jirachi. Ruffles could wait.

Inside the laboratory, several guards and a huge mess of uniformly dressed scientists scuttled around rows upon rows of huge tubes, each containing a different experiment. Jirachi, as Venus well knew, was done with its transformation; it didn't need any of the drugs or nourishment these experiments needed. So where... aha. A seemingly confident scientist approached Venus with goggles still on her face. Removing them hastily, she wasted no time in her approach to the back room, or the 'test room'.
"Lady Venus. Right this way please," she said smoothly. "I'm afraid your Jirachi is going through some unknown transformations. It's experiencing a bit of trauma, which is causing something abnormal to happen to its body."

When the door opened, Venus saw the master control panel, the multitude of experimentalists, and the glass that separated her from Jugala. But inside the glass was nothing better.
It was cracked from the inside and slightly demented. The Jirachi, now boasting a beautiful deep violet hide instead of the previous pale white, was shuddering and flailing violently, its eyes a fierce scarlet color. But something else was different. The stomach...?
Before, there had been a noticeable, protruding dip that curved around Jugala's midsection. Now, Venus was shocked to find an entire eye where the dip had been. As if the thing had... opened.

Venus folded her arms and tilted her head sideways. "What's going on, then?"
"We're not exactly sure, Bo--Lady Venus. We know that its 'true eye' has been opened, which is clearly a problem."
"Well, obviously, you idiots," Venus spat. "Do you know what this means? Haven't you heard the legends about the incredible power that a Jirachi possesses?" Years and years of traveling the world had increased Venus's knowledge of legendary Pokemon, too. "Do you know what it can do? It will destroy itself! My darling Jugala..." Moving closer to the glass, Venus howled dramatically. "Please, Jugala, don't do this to yourself! We're a team! Don't destroy yourself... agh."
"Er, Lady Venus... with all due respect, it can't hear you."
"I know that," she snapped irritably. "I... just... it's certainly capable of telepathy, is it not?"
"Mmm, I suppose so, whatever you say, Lady Venus."

Venus found herself in quite a predicament. Right then, what should I do[/I]? I never learned how to cure this. Hell, I don't even know what's happening to poor Jugala... She closed her eyes and sighed, trying to avert her attention from the strange, annoying high-pitched sounds that resulted from the Jirachi's radiating psychic energy.

"Does anyone know how to fix thix?" Venus angrily threw up her arms and turned to face the entire audience. "What, tell me, must I do?"
One small female stood up anxiously. "Um, Lady Venus, I think... well, I think... because all of our top scientists have already done as much as they can -- "
"Get ON with it[/I!" Venus roared.
"Aaaa-h-h-hh, um, I think you should go to Nascour," the girl whispered hastily, flinching. "He might know better about stuff like this. And -- if you'll excuse me for saying -- we've done all that we can."
Venus rolled her eyes. "Yes, yes, I know." Contemplating her options, Venus found that seeking Nascour's advice would actually be her best shot in finding a cure for Jugala. After all, the miserable Jugala did mean a [I]lot to her. It was part of her team, her most precious treasures in the entire world. Nothing, besides her own self, meant more to Venus.

With a mere nod and an exhausted groan, Venus abruptly left the room, finding Ruffles waiting for her outside the laboratory. In minutes, Venus, flanked by all her dazzlingly vicious Pokemon, was marching her way to Nascour's office.

Nascour, Cipher's base
Nascour didn't even look up when Venus entered, though he heard her enter. The snag machine's importance outranked whatever fashion problem she was having with the peons, specifically the Hexagon bros. He listened for several moments, and when he was certain she wasn't going to leave, he spoke up
"What is it now, Venus? Complaining about the uniforms of your troops again?" He asked gruffly, doing an about face and looking at her with his cold eyes.

Gonzap, Team Snagems not-quite-secret base
"Gardevoir, Barrier!" Gonzap sent out his Gardevoir, and the second it appeared, it formed a barrier between Miror B's Pokemon and his own.
"Electrode, show 'em your Thunder attack! Vileplume, sleep seed, now!" Gonzap roared, and his Pokemon obeyed, launching their attacks from behind Gardevoir's barrier.

OOC: Sorry about the short post...Didn't really know how to start off.

There was no sound in the dusty little room with the exception of the office chair squeaking as it swiveled to its left side. Lovrina sat in it, one leg over the armrest, the other moving the chair side to side. She let out a long, embellished sigh and slumped in the chair even more, eager for something to happen. Once none of her Pokemon budged, she resorted to verbal communication.

"Gosh...You three are so…unexciting," mumbled Lovrina. Each of her Pokemon's heads perked up, looking at her. Her Purugly gave its master a long yowl of boredom. "You know what? Since you look so enthused you can come with me on my little trip," Lovrina indicated her Purugly. "Come on; let's pay a visit to Nascour. I'm so bored, it's driving me nuts."

She took two Pokeballs from her belt, and returned her Delcatty and Altaria. Lovrina strode across the room, opened the door, and began to walk aimlessly through the halls. Her Purugly kept pace easily, despite its bulkiness. Then, Lovrina heard a voice, and a clap of thunder. "Oh, well that's his Electrode, isn't it? Let's go!"

Lovrina pursued the sound, which still resonated through the corridors, to another door. She opened it without knocking to see Nascour and Venus in the room. Sure enough, it was Nascour's Electrode that had made the racket. His other Pokemon were out too, attacking what could only be Miror B's Ludicolo and Lombre.

"Hey Nascour! Hiya Venus," Lovrina chirped. She gave Nascour a small wink. "Are you two in the middle of something? I hope not, because it will have to wait. It's an urgent situation!"

"Hey Nascour! Hiya Venus. Are you two in the middle of something? I hope not, because it will have to wait. It's an emergency!"

Venus was about to speak when the annoying, shrill sound of Lovrina's voice pierced her ears. Narrowing her eyes, she turned around in disgust.
"I'm sorry, Lovrina, darling. But first, I have some important matters to discuss with the Master." She winked back and flashed a toothy smile. "Maybe later." Absent-mindedly returning the only one of her team out, Ruffles, she whirled to face Nascour.

"And no sir, while the uniforms of Cipher are far from appealing, this has nothing to do with looks. My dearest Jugala -- of course, my Jirachi -- is currently reacting to some kind of abnormal effects... it seems that in the process of shadow transformation, his... 'true eye' -- " Venus made air-quotes as she said this -- "has opened." Venus paused to take a sharp breath and pouted. "Isn't there anything we can do? You know I care about the well-being of Cipher and its shadow Pokemon, but dear Jugala... he's in pain!"

Nascour, Cipher's base

This was the part of his job Nascour hated. Even when he'd been second in command, he had to deal with this, too. He gave Lorivanna a pinted look, then looked back at Venus.
"Yes, according to research, it is time for its true eye to open. And as for it being in pain..." Nascour said coldly "What makes you think I would care? It's a Shadow Pokemon; pain only makes it more efficient for our uses."

Nascour gave a wave of his hand to dismiss Venus, then turned to Lorivanna
"What is it?"

[Giratina]

"Muko!" Miror B yelled. One of the Ludicolo stopped and awaited further instructions. After receiving the difficult-to-hear instructions by its Trainer/dance instructor, the Ludicolo stood right in front of the Barrier and stuck out its tongue at the Vileplume, who was firing Sleep Seeds at the Barrier - meaning, of course, they weren't quite making contact with anything except Gardevoir.

Muko began to dance around as Lombre scrambled back to Miror B and pressed the button again. As a different song came on, all of the Ludicolo on the area stopped attacking and listened.

Then, they charged, screeching, right at the now-flickering Barrier. Cheering and hooting, they were comparable to someone with an extreme sugar overdose and were now 'bouncing off the walls' - which, indeed, they were. Miror B and Lombre simply stood back and laughed as the festive music now booming around the building energized the Ludicolo to insane speeds.

As Lombre paused briefly to wonder what got the Ludicolo so excited, Miror B stopped giggling to explain it to him. "When Ludicolo hear music like this - loud and festive - they start dancing. But when it's loud, festive music like this - loud, festive, and very very fast - then they skip the dancing entirely and start going ballistic on every opponent in the area!"

Miror B and Lombre cheered and roared with laughter as a Ludicolo got hit by the Thunder, paused for a moment, and then started up again.

OOC: Sorry about the mix-up. Didn't know...Oops. Well, life goes on

Sheesh, what a drama queen, thought Lovrina. She whirled around to face Nascour, her long pink hair whipping against her face as she did so. "Well, the emergency is that I have nothing to do! Have you ever done nothing for fifteen minutes straight? I thought I was going to die. I want something to do, like now. It's so boring here. You know, I almost think that prison was more interesting than this. I haven't done anything since I've come back." Lovrina was getting a kick out of complaining, since she hadn't done it since her stay in prison. So, she continued.

"Oh, and I haven't been paid in a while. I don't like to steal either, because I have to wear black. I think that I've made it clear that black doesn't go well with my skin. I really need some new clothes, my closet is bare. I think someone sold all of my cute outfits while I was gone. Oh, and another thing! The food here is G-R-O-S-S. Like, I haven't had anything decent to eat in forever. Now I think you can see why I'm in a crisis here. So, give me something to do. Please?" Lovrina gave Nascour her best puppy-dog face. She even went as far as to stick out her lower lip.

Outraged at Nascour's response, Venus stomped her foot impatiently, her eyes flaring. One vital question had to be answered before he waved her off like that.

"But Nascour, siii-iiiir," she whined, still pouting. "What I'm saying is the results of Jugala's abnormalities might destroy the entire laboratory, and then some. Just because it's normal for the eye to open doesn't mean he won't do anything, Nascour. More accurately, won't destroy anything." Venus paused, examined the room, and upon finding nothing useful, she continued. "Isn't there anything that you, specifically, can do?" she repeated.

Suddenly, before Venus could say another word, Ruffles unexpectedly released herself from her embellished pokeball. She promptly electrified her body, causing a shocking noise, and gestured to the exit, crying and whining loudly. The Raichu tugged on a mortified Venus's dress and attempted to drag her master to the door.

"What is it?!" Venus screeched. "What -- "
"RAI, RAIIII!" Ruffles frowned and electrified her body with even more power, silencing Venus mid-sentence.
Venus huffed. "All right, all right. I'm right behind you, darling."
Giving a look of satisfaction, Ruffles perked her ears and raced down the hallway toward the elevator.
Ugh, now where the hell am I going?

Nascour, Cipher's base.

"It's sad that this event is only slightly out of the ordinary." Nascour said to himself, then gestured to his Metagross, whom had been standing in the corner. Its eyes flashed, and the Hexagon brothers filed in.
"Ready and waiting for orders, Boss!" Redsix reported, all of them saluting in one motion.
"Lorivanna is bored." Nascour said simply "Go with her to the Pokemon HQ Lab and retrieve XD001." He turned to Lorivanna "You wanted something to do, now do it."


Gonzap, team Snagem's base

Music....! Gonzap got an idea "Gardevoir, track three!" He ordered. To anyone else, this would have seemed to be crazy talk, but he was instructing Gardevoir to change the music in the place to track three. Somehow, one of his lackeys had put in a lullaby to his heavy metal tracks, which greatly annoyed Gonzap, since it couldn't be taken off.
Gardevoir raised her right arm, and the control pannel's dial twisted to "3". In a moment, a soft lullaby came through the speakers, putting Vileplume to sleep, but Electrode was unaffected, and neither was Gonzap.
"Now, Electrode, Thunder!" He ordered.

Professor Crane's Lab

He's in there.

Finally after weeks of tracking, I had found him. I could feel his dark, strong aura, I could. He was there. In that lab.

Wildfire squirmed once, whimpering as she lay down with her head on her crossed paws like a puppy. The shiny Ninetales could sense Shadow Lugia, XD001, and it made her antsy. Her and I wanted in so badly, but what dim-witt would let a 14 year old girl and her team of five Pokemon, including one legendary, to see Shadow Lugia. There were no dim-witts in that lab.

I knew I could purify him. I could try, and possibly succeed. It could take time, but it might work. None had managed it, but I had seen them. They weren't kind enough. I doubted that I could do it myself, but, hey, why not try? IF I ever obtained the chance.

We were right on the path that was near the steps, looking up at the large, white, Poke Ball that opened and closed, folded and unfolded. Wildfire squired again before letting out a small howl, which I cut off by quickly clasping my hand over her jaw. I glanced nervously around.

Nothing. Yet.

[Giratina]

The Ludicolo stopped.

A unanimous croaking sound emitted from the five Pokemon before they were removed from their strangely comic levitation, as they tumbled onto the ground. Four of them landed on the floor, twitching and making some creeped-out grins... but the fifth fell, with a creeped-out grin, right onto the bristling Jolteon. Unfortunately, this didn't stop the Pokemon from following its Trainer's orders, and a few seconds later the smell of burning fur filled the room.

Miror B stepped back and croaked loudly.

He fumbled in his pockets for the Ludicolos' Pokeballs, then held them all out to return all of his Ludicolo. Looking quite pale, he reached for the sixth Pokeball on his belt. Frowning deeply (this was a sure sign that you're about to get a SRS BEETDAON from the usually-beaming Admin), he held out the ball and pressed the required button. A blast of dark purple energy emitted itself from the Pokeball, and eventually formed itself into a looming Dragonite.

"Dragonite," he said in a scarily serious voice, "Shadow Break."

Gonzap, team Snagem's base

Gonzap scowled, and so did Jolteon and Electrode.
"Electrode, get out of the way!" Gonzap ordered, almost too late. Electrode was able to bound mostly out of the way, but the Dragonite's attack was still enough to make it pinball around the room until Gardevoir stopped it. Jolteon growled, and its fur bristled.
"So, ya think you can get me with a Shadow, eh?" Gonzap sniggered "Electrode, Vileplume, Jolteon, Gardevoir, return." The Pokemon returned to their poke balls, and Gonzap drew another one, which opened to reveal his most powerful Pokemon; Skarmory.

"SKARMORY, DESTROY THAT FREAK!" Gonzap roared, and Skarmory cried out in pleasure, its yellow eyes glowing.

Prof. Krane, HQ Lab

Krane went to the large habitat they were keeping the Shadow Lugia in, and unlocked it with his keycard. He entered, and saw the great creature sleeping.
"Hmm....still no change, huh?" Krane asked the scientist in there. She looked up from her clipboard and shook her head. Krane would have petted the creature if it wouldn't bite his arm. He'd tried once last month, and it had nearly killed him.
"Have you tried the massages they give in Agate?" He asked
"We did, but it didn't work. It was all we could do to keep her from killing the people trying to help it."
Krane shook his head sadly "Keep working with her, then." He instructed, and left, locking the habitat behind him and heading for the lobby.

Footsteps.

A gentle pounding. In a strange way footsteps had always been interesting to me. They were like the rhythm of life aloing with a heartbeat, which the two of us could also hear.

Then there was still that presence with a heartbeat that was unheard.

Crystal sighed, catching a glimpse of Professor Krane about to enter the lobby. Wildfire squirmed once more, knowing that he would be the only one to even allow us to get close to the Shadow Pokemon, yet I didn't want to notify him of my presence so quickly.

Well, Wildfire was the first to prevent that by letting loose a howl.

I covered her muzzle again, hating putting my Pokemon into Poke Balls. But I did so anyways-my usually trusty partner had slipped again. I placed the red-and-white ball into my kimono flap and crossed my fingers behind my back, signaling to a Pokemon by the bushes-she was in plain sight, as were the rest.

A blue Pokemon with a huge, billowing, purple mane rose from her sitting position, coming the me. The Suicune's two ribbons rippled in the breeze, even though they didn't even need it to do so.

I stroked Legend gently, then climbed onto her back, my legs to the side of her body like a woman wearing a dress would ride a horse. I buried my face into her mane then unburied it, stroking her once more. The legendary purred, a deep grumbling sound from her chest.

Fausto and Aki

Fausto smiled and lead Aki into the lobby. "Here we are." he announced. Aki, who still hadn't retied her bandages turned her head to stare blankly at him. She reached out her free hand slowly and Rose put her socks back in her hand. Fausto sighed "Oh." he murmured.

Aki smiled "I know this place like the back of my hand, Fausto, even with shoes on and my vibration sense impaired. You don't have to narrate everything...huh?" she said, pausing. Aki tapped her toes on the floor almost rythmically, and picked it up again--strange figures, ones that her mind hadn't seen before. One human and another obviously pokemon. She dropped her socks on the floor and freed her other arm from Fausto's grasp "Stay here." she whispered, then moved toward the figures.

"Who are you and what do you want?" Aki asked in a semi-shout, anyone that seemed like they were trying to hide wasn't the kind of person she trusted easily. "Why are you in the Prof's office?" she demanded icily, hand touching one of pokeballs at her side, the one with the domed moon sticker on it--Night, perfect.

OOC: Metal, are SUs still up, I'm thinking about bringing in Fausto's computer genius cousin if so. And Aki is addressing Crystal, just to make that clear. And I still have nothing to post for Jovi, because no one else is actually in the lab to talk to..

Krane almost jumped out of his lab coat at hearing a howl, and fell over as he turned, scrambling back against the wall. He'd been kidnapped once before, and it had been a very unpleasant experience.
"W-who's there? Come out now!" He shouted shakily, seeing something moving behind the bushes.

I giggled, not able to stifle it with my hands. Legend glanced up at me, then back at Krane. The small wall prevented him from seeing us. I tapped the side of Legend's neck with two of my fingers. Legend lunged forwards, easily clearing the wall with almost no effort. She landed but five feet away from Krane.

The Suicune cried out in pleasure at running, no matter how short of a leap. She took another step forwards, ignoring the yells that erupted from inside. Her two ribbions waved about slowly as the breeze died. Crystal cocked her head slightly to the side, examining him. I said nothing at first.

"Professor," I said suddenly. "I sense her. Wildfire does too, and so does Legend." I patted my Suicune's side gently as I said her name, sliding off of her back.

"W-what?" Krane had no idea what the girl was talking about, and his fear was momentarily subdued by curiosity. He silently cursed himself for being the only man in the entire region with no Pokemon to defend himself, though it would hardly matter against Suicune.
"Why are you here? Who are you?"

"W-what?" Krane asked, obviously confused... and terrified. "Why are you here? Who are you?"

I douibt that he sees a 14 year-old with a Suicune everyday, so he had every right to be terrified. I knew that much.

"My name? My name is Crystal, Crystal Estrada," I said calmly, patiently. A flash behind Crystal, beside the bush, drew attention to Starlight the Rapidash, who's white, four-point star on her forehead had glinted in the sunlight.

"As to why I'm here, I followed her. I followed Shadow Lugia."

Prof. Krane, HQ Lab

All it took was her mentioning Shadow Lugia for Krane's fear to turn to anger, and he stood, brushing off his lab coat. His eyes met Crystal's with a stone-cold glare
"You're with Cipher, aren't you? If you want Shadow Lugia back for Nascour, you'll have to do it over my dead body!" His fists clenched, and he knew he wouldn't last more than ten seconds if the girl decided to attack, even if it wasn't Suicune used to attack him.

"You're with Cipher, aren't you? If you want Shadow Lugia back for Nascour, you'll have to do it over my dead body!" Krane decalred, glaring at me.

I sighed and shook my head no.

"I am against Cipher. They close the hearts of Pokemon and treat them as slaves," I said. "Lucy, come."

A Walrein of enormous size managed to reach me from behind the bush, awoken form her snooze by my voice.

"Shadow Pokemon, used to be," I said calmly, releasing Wildfire from her Poke Ball. "Also used to be a Shadow."

I patted Legend gently.

"Same with her, and Starlight, and Lady," I added. Starlight took a step forwards, and the Ampharos beside her waved.

"You may believe what you wish about my affiliation, but I know the truth. Shadow Lugia is said not to be able to be unpurified, you and I know that well. I see lies behind those words, and I believe I can help. Put me under security while I try it, keep my Pokemon serperated from me at the same time, I don't care. I just wish to help."

Prof. Krane, HQ Lab

"No." Krane said adamantly "For all I know, you could just be one of Cipher's spies, trying to get on my good side so you can take the Shadow Lugia. I'm a very busy man; if you have nothing else to say, then leave." He turned on his heel and entered the lobby, keeping his ID card in his hand, just in case.

I sighed deeply.

"From what I know, nothing has worked to purify her," Crystal called after him, gently, with her head looking down at the concrete, then at Legend. "You're getting desperate, I can sense it." I said quietly, but loud enough for him to hear over his own footsteps.

I knew he was. He had to be. I heard of the massage attempt. I heard of everything.

Cou and Ren on there way to HQ Lab

As they got further away from Priyte Town and closer to HQ Lab, Ren began feeling better. The distance they had put between them and the fighting Pokemon had allowed her head to clear and loosened the knot in her chest that had made it difficult to breathe while they were in the Colosseum.

“Cou, can you stop soon so I can get in the sidecar?” she asked, looking up at him.

“What, you don’t like holding onto me?” he replied laughing as he slowed down the bike and steered it towards the side of the road.

“You shouldn’t say things like that,” said Ren blushing.

Cou brought the bike to stop and helped Ren into the sidecar.

“Where are we?” she asked, remembered the map they had left back in Priyte Town.

“This should tell us,” replied Cou, pressing a button on the bike that brought up map screen between the handlebars. After a few seconds of studying the map he said, “We’re here, and we need to get over here.”

He pointed to the gold dot that represented the two of them and then to the blue dot that was their destination, the lab. He noted to himself that they were much closer to the lab than he had originally thought.

“So we’re almost there,” Ren reassured herself. Her face suddenly scrunched up in confusion, and as if she now saw it for the first time, turned to Cou and asked, “When did you get this bike?”

“Oh, when we were first in Gateon Port… at the part shop Perr runs,” replied Cou, and started the bike up again.

He revved the engine and looked at Ren with a smile before he shot the bike back onto the road towards the lab. As the neared the forest the surrounded the lab he veered off the road to the left, following the tracks he had made on his previous visits. To follow the winding road through the trees to the lab would take too long, and Cou had long ago made his own path that cut the journey in half. As they cleared the trees Cou pulled the bike around the corner of the lab, coming to a stop next to the only other vehicle parked in front. Inside the car sat a girl and a vaporeon.

As Cou helped Ren from the sidecar his attention was focused on the girl sitting in the car.

“Hey,” he said, “how are you?”

“Cou,” Ren whispered sharply poking him in the side, “you really need to stop just saying ‘hi’ to everyone you see.” She turned to face the girl then and smiled, shaking her head, “Sorry, anyway, hi there.”

While the girl had not yet responded to either of them, both Ren’s and Cou’s eyes had drifted to the vaporeon in the car beside the girl. Ren couldn’t help but feel that she had seen it somewhere before.

Fausto and Aki

Aki tappped her toes on the floor again, and this time felt the window barring her from the outside. Prof. Krane was with whoever it was now. She didn't particularly like that. Aki cursed and ran out the lab, Fausto sprinted off after her "Aki, where on Earth are you going?" he demanded. Aki didn't answer, she just kept running until she found the Prof. and the other person.

Fausto froze at the sight of Legend "T-that...that's a Suicune..." he murmured. Aki rolled her eyes again.

"I know that stupid, I think we all do. Need I remind you I used to play with Celebi on a daily basis back home? As one of Celebi's protectors I've seen my share of legendary pokemon. Anyway, that's the least of our worries!" Aki whispered to Fausto. Then she looked toward Crystal, trying to give the illusion she had sight. "What do you think you're doing with the Professor!?!?!" She demanded in a louder voice, never hearing what they had said before, she had no idea what Crystal was planning, or who's side she was on.

Jovi

Jovi sighed and slid to a stop. Still no one around to pass the message on to. "Jeez this place is like a ghost town..." she muttered, then took off in another direction.

OOC: Jovi's was short, but I didn't want to go on not posting for her.

Lovrina beamed at the notion of reuniting with XD001. She was, after all, the one who labored obstinately to make it impossible to purify. Of course, she hadn't perfected the procedure, but she was exceptionally close.

“Really? Oh gosh,” exclaimed Lovrina. “Thanks! Oh, the thrill! Then let’s get to it.” She whipped around to face the Hexagon Brothers. “Hello boys,” Lovrina smiled. “Are you ready for this? Well, what are you waiting for? Hurry up! It’ll take a while to get there. Purugly, let’s go, sweetie.” She let out a shriek of excitement as she returned her Pokemon to its Pokeball.

Lovrina skipped out of the room, her extensive pink hair, whipping behind her like two oversized ribbons. She started up her hover bike that she attained just days before she went to prison. Sounds perfect, Lovrina thought. After slipping her goggles onto her face, she waited for the Hexagon Brothers to arrive.

Oh my prized XD001, Lovrina thought. How…fun. I miss it. Then…that brat had to come along. It’s been eight years, and there’s no way they could have purified it by now. Not even close. Sure, it is able to be purified, but not now. And definantly not before I get there.

A boy and a girl ran out of the lab, one of them yelling "What do you think you're doing with the Professor!?!?!"

"Nothing at all," I said. "I never laid a hand on him."

My God was I tired of being yelled at. It annoyed me half to death. I stroked Legend, and to my dismay Wildifire was squirming again, whimpering. What the hell was wrong with her today?

"I am nothing but a 14-year old girl following a Shadow pokemon's aura," I said crossly.

The Hexagon Bros., Cipher's base

The Hexagon Bros. filed out of the building into the scorching sun, and hopped onto their own hovercycles (except for Browsix, who was riding in a sidecar with Bluesix, and not too happy about it.)
"Ready and waiting, boss!" Redsix relayed, saluting.



Prof. Krane, HQ lab

"Just leave her be." Krane said, turning his back on her "We need to discuss something." He told Aki, entering the lobby.

I had stopped my Beetle do double check my maps, I had just wanted to double check with of the roads I was supposed to take. There was a fork in the road ahead and one lead all the way to Mt Battle, and I didn`t want to head there. After taking a while to figure the silly GPS out, I learned that the right way was the one that headed toward the lab. Mira sat in the backseat, waiting patiently for me to get things sorted out, and wasn`t saying a word. I knew she wanted to get to our destination, however, and I was just about the start the engine when I heard something.

“Hey,” said a masculine voice and then added, “how are you?” I looked up from my GPS and steering wheel to see a boy, dressed in red with brown hair. I figured he had spoken, for his only passenger was a girl with light violet hair sitting in the side car of the motorcycle-like gizmo. I`d seen it before, but where? Before I could say anything, the girl whispered something to the boy, but I couldn`t hear a word. Mira didn`t seem to hear either, but I could tell she wanted to.

“Sorry, anyway, hi there.” Said the girl, this time it was loud enough for me to hear. I guess she was apologizing for her friend`s unexpected greeting. It toke me a minute to say something, but I could see they were eying Mira who didn`t see to conformable receiving all the attention.

“Umm, hello there?” I answered, trying to sound as friendly as possible. However, I stayed alert, for I didn`t want to let my guard down at this point. We were close to the lab and their just might some danger lurking around such an important building.

I have endless patience, Professor," I said crossly, planting myself to the very spot I was in on the sidewalk, my unwavering gaze fived on the door. My Pokemon congregated behind me, Legend laying her head on my back as I lay down on my stomach, chin in my head.

Wildfire placed herself right in front of me, laying down with her tails curled around her. I still focused on the door, even after a few minutes.

It was definately boring, no doubt about it. Lucy huddled to my side, Starlight doing the same. The Rapidash lay down to sleep-meaning that she trusted me.

I sighed.

If he was observant enough, I thought curtly. Then he would see that my Pokemon love me, not resent me like Cipher's Pokemon do.

I yawned, still bored. My eyelids grew heavy and I frowned.

Gah, can't believe I'm falling asle...

With my head rested on Wildifre's silky fur, I slept quietly, warmed by my Pokemon around me.

Aki and Fausto

Aki entered the lab with Fausto pushing her from behind. She didn't like new people, she didn't trust this girl yet, and yet the professor had simply left her outside! "What was that about?" Aki hissed, then whirled on Fausto "There is no need to push me." she said sharply, she was losing her temper already, she hated today. Rose rushed to her side and held out her socks, but Aki ignored them, she needed her vibration reading at full now.

Fausto backed away, he had learned that a mad Aki was not someone you wanted to be around. "Aki, she doesn't seem--"

"Nobody is ever what they seem to be Fausto! You should know that!" Aki shouted in frustration. "Cipher seemed okay until one of them shoved me into a wall and took my sight! You know how I am with people, I'm surprised you said anything." Aki growled darkly. Rose was beside herself, Aki hadn't had an outburst like this since the first time she had woken up in the lab and swore she was still with Cipher.

HQ Lab

I sighed and walked towards the main lobby of the lab, Flygon following close behind. I saw this girl with a Suicune that passed by me. They both went outside. She appeared determined to do something, but once outside she sat down with her Pokemon.

I didn't know what to do now. There was not much to do here. Flygon began getting restless and wanted to go out. He pulled on my shirt with his claws and pointed outside.

"OKay, you may go ahead and go out." I said. Flygon cried happily and went through the doors that led outside. He flew into the air and circled the building..

So soon I'm going to need to go out and find and recover any shadow Pokemon and cure them of the curse they have. I'm going to need another partner besides my Flygon to help me out.

Even in my sleep, my ear flicked at the sound of footsteps, but I still dozed on. Only when I felt my 'pillow' rise up from under my head and Legend's head lift from my back did I awake, raising one eyelid to see a boy, one of the scientist. He glanced at me briefly, and my eye followed his Flygon curiously. Legend and Wildfire both had taken up a wary, defensive position, and the others were watching him.

I rose quickly and with lithe, still staring up at the Flygon. I shifted my sleeve just enough to reveal a home-made snag machine, then covering it back uip. It looked far different from Krane's, instead a lot slimmer and it gave more freedom to my arm. I returned my gaze to the scientist. Legend rubbed against me, almost as tall as I.

Krane shok his head, and saw that Wes had also come
"Wes, I'm glad you could join us." He greeted him with a grin, then turned serious "Now, we have ourselves a problem people. Cipher's members have broken themselves out of prison. Since we still haven't been able to purify the Shadow Lugia, they're sure to come here to take her back. We cannot allow that." Krane sighed, and chuckled sheepishly "But, as you all know, I'm no good at battling; I don't even own any Pokemon... Regardless, it is adamant that we protect the Shadow Lugia at all costs; it can not fall into Cipher's hands. Agreed?"

Fausto and Aki

Aki rolled her eyes and turned to Krane "Isn't that a bit obvious Prof.? You know I'll fight tooth and nail against them to keep them from gaining anything at all, not to mention that I definately don't want to go back for more torture sessions for info on Celebi's hiding place. Fausto will fight too even though he's not that good, you know we all will." she said, calming down now.

Fausto looked at his feet "I even called Ashley in on this one. She's coming here now so be ready for the wrath of Squint when she gets here." he said quietly. It was no small feat for Fausto to call in his cousin, Squint was a super genius when it came to computers and she often looked down on him. Not to mention she was coming all the way from Sinnoh, where she had been working with the tv station.

Squint

Ashley sighed and rolled her motorcycle off the boat's deck and looked down at her Luxray. "Time to go back in, Shenz, sorry." she sighed. Shenzii looked up and her and snorted, like that bothered him! Squint smiled and put him back in his pokeball. She walked her bike to the edge of town and then jumped on. She smiled and started it up, then did a quick turn, spitting dirt and gravel, then started on her way to the Pokemon Lab.

"Wes, I'm glad you could join us." Krane said gretting me with a grin on his face. That grin soon dissapered and his facial expressions turned serious. "Now, we have ourselves a problem people. "Definitely , I will protect that Lugia at all costs." I said, determined to make sure nothing happens to the Shadow Lugia. One of my pokeballs jiggled and came undone from my jacket, fallinf onto the floor. The red and white ball popped opened sending out a bright red light. Garchomp stood tall and proud, saluting with one of his hands.

"Garchomp is ready to protect it as well." I said, a grin forming on my face. "What do you want us to do Professor?"

OOC: Is it OK if I just cover the way there in my post, so then it won’t take eight posts just to get to the lab?

Once everybody was ready, Lovrina mounted her hover bike, and took off at top speed. She let out a loud giggle, and weaved across the terrain. Behind her, she left a cloud of sand, hoping that the Hexagon Brothers weren’t so brainless as to drive through it. She took one hand off of the handlebars, reached for her belt, and let out her Altaria. “Get us to the lab! Make it fast!” Lovrina demanded.

The Altaria gained more altitude to see farther. It went so high that it blended in perfectly with the puffy white clouds. After about three minutes, it descended and flew beside Lovrina. It turned its body slightly to the left, so Lovrina followed suit.

Every so often, Altaria would again climb into the sky, and dive down again to point its master in the right direction. It took most of the afternoon, but Lovrina finally found trees in the distance. She went towards them, toward the lush emerald grass.

Lovrina, still flitting swiftly over the grass, searched for a breach in the trees. She saw a bit of dirt farther on, and saw that it led into the trees. The whir of the engine became a soft humming as Lovrina slowed down. The path led to precisely what she was searching for. The Pokemon HQ Lab.

Squint

Squint was nearly there, bent over her little motocycle, pushing it to go as fast as she could get it to. She didn't want to leave Moggle inside her laptop too long, the last time she'd left her in for a long period of time, it'd been a pain to get Moggle out. As she turned onto the road to the HQ Lab, she passed another group of motorcycles at top speed, not caring who it was, smiling as she purposely kicked up a buch of dust by cutting in front of them.

She whizzed past another motocycle and a car a few minutes later. Wow, there were alot of people headed to the lab today, she thought. Now she was glad she'd traded in her old scooter for this thing--it went fast and was fun to ride. After another few minutes, she rode up to the lab. She climbed off the bike and chained it to the rack they'd put up recently. Sighed, and walked in.

Aki, Fausto, and Squint

Aki tapped the floor, and was rewarded with a picture of Squint approaching the lab. "She's here." she said softly. Fausto looked up and nodded as Squint walked in.

"Hello there. Nice to see everyone again." she chirped, then immediately parked herself on a nearby chaor and pulled out her laptop and her headset. "Moggle, anything yet?" she asked impaitently, and was replied to a moment later.

"Sorry, Ashley. I've hacked into and scanned like, a million files, and still haven't found an exact cure. But they weren't expecting the purify chamber, so that's our best shot. Something with the purify chamber." Her computer read out in a young girl's voice. Squint nodded simply.

"Thanks Moggle, why don't you come out for a rest." She said, and after a moment the USB port on her computer spat out a porygon. Squint turned to them "Sorry, had to get her out. Any news?" she asked no one in particular.

[Giratina]

Dragonite roared menacingly, eyes narrowed at the new creature that had dared walk in front of it when it was in the process of pummeling someone. Leering and snarling, the purple aura that flew from the Shadow Skarmory only made it angrier.

"Shadow... RUSH!!" boomed Miror B.

Dragonite shrieked angrily, stomping at the foe with one claw recoiled as if to punch. It then leaped into the air and gave Skarmory a full-body tackle, opening its jaws and chomping it around Skarmory's neck. He flung the Pokemon a few feet across, then scrambled back to its position. Miror B raised an eyebrow as he noticed something unusual about Dragonite: the purple aura that usually surrounded it was smearing into blacks and red. Dragonite turned back around and snarled viciously.

This was Hyper Mode.

My ears flicked slightly as I heard the dull roar of a hover bike, and I snarled. Currently it was obvious that only my Pokemon and I had heard it so far. I growled at the familiar sound-Lovrina. I knew it was because I could sense the dark aura of a few of her Pokemon. My Snag Machine flashed eagerly.

I took a step fowards, my eyes glazing carefully over the forest. There.

I nodded at Legend and Wildfire, then leaped into the nearby tree, Wildfire following. Legend prowled and Starlight rose from her sleeping position, her nostrils flaring as I lunged to the next tree, gripped the branch tightly and throwing myself atop the next limb on the next tree. I was close enough to make out every detail of her face and her goons. Those damn Hexagon brothers.

"Ah, Lovrina," I said quietly, but loud enough for her to hear. "I see you have the Hexagon Brothers with you. Last time I checked, those dweebs couldn't even count off without screwing up."

Wildfire snickered, and Legend walked quietly down the path towards my location, her ribbons fluttering gently behind her, her mane billowing softly. Starlight didn't take her time.

Instead she broke into a full gallop, ignoring the fact that the Ciphers were directly in her path. She leaped over Lovrina's bike with ease, landing behind her, narrowly missing one of the Hexagon brothers, if you count giving Blusix a kick to the shin narrowly missing. She turned as she passed them, snorting and pawing the ground-six times mockingly.

"Even a Rapidash can agree," I sneered.

[Atropos]

OOC: I’ll try to get on within the next week, but I don’t know. Sorry!

Lovrina ducked as the Rapidash leapt over her head. ”Watch the hover bike, you little brat!” Lovrina screeched. She could see what that little horror wanted. [/I]If it’s a battle she wants, it’s a battle she’ll get,[/I] she thought. Lovrina jumped off of the bike and lifted up her goggles. She looked behind her, debating whether she should use Altaria or not. She decided against it, and took out her Delcatty’s Pokeball.

“Get ready to find out what Shadow Pokemon are capable of! Delcatty, Shadow Rush!” Lovrina yelled, releasing the cat.

Wildfire and I snarled menacingly in usion as the Shadow Pokemon was released.

"I know what Shadow Pokemon are capable of, you dolt. Recognize Venus' Suicune anywhere's?" I asked, watching as Wildfire glared at the cat Pokemon. Wolf against cat. This will be hilarious.

The shiny Ninetales stepped forwards, growling menacingly as the Delcatty rushed forwards, glowing with a Shadow Aura. She leaped over the Pokemon and landed, but rolling onto one of her forelegs as she did so. She did not show any signs of pain except for the slightest notion of a limp.

She snarled and rushed forwards, growling as she attacked the Pokemon on my command with a hidden hand sign. She conjured up the fire inside of her and released it in a huge blast of flame that spread to at least three and a half feet wide.

OOC; I know it's kind of a lot of activity for a small post, but I already typed a reply once and my crappy computer deleted the whole thing Dx

At best, Venus had been surprised to find Ruffles retrace her steps all the way back to the laboratory. But as soon as she stepped inside, her eyes widened to the size of dinner plates and she began to tremble anxiously.

The entire laboratory had been informally evacuated. The reason probably lay within the gargantuan cracks in the cement wall, separating the testing room from the lab.

Without so much as a cry, Ruffles bounded off once more, heading directly into the testing room. Jugala... Venus thought. Then it came to her. Jugala's in there, somewhere. Suddenly, her train of thought crashed and flew off the tracks. Jugala... did this...
Gasping, Venus took off after Ruffles, screaming "NO" at the top of her lungs. How could this happen to a person like her? Of course those scientists could fix the laboratory, albeit maybe with a little difficulty... but oh, the devastation! Her dearest Jugala could be hurt!

"I'm coming, precious!" Venus screeched, nearly throwing herself at the broken automatic doors.
But inside the testing room was no better. The boss yelped and came to an abrupt stop as blue-white flames flared precariously right in front of her. The fire had already spread around the entire room, engulfing everything, including the computers and the master control panel. The glass wall in the back of the room -- which had once stood proudly at twelve inches thick -- had been completely shattered. Moreover, neither Jugala nor Ruffles were anywhere to be found.

Panting, Venus opened one of her pokeballs hastily, acting at the top of her mind. A gigantic serpentine Pokemon was released -- Bella, Venus's Milotic. Immediately, the Pokemon screeched and squirmed its massive body away from the fire, automatically seeking its trainer's command.
"Hydro Pump," Venus cried. Bella didn't need to be told twice. The Milotic sprayed a blast of water that covered the flames, lessening the intensity of the heat but still not entirely extinguishing it. "Keep it up, come on!"

In precious more seconds, the fire had been completely rid of. A gasping Venus returned Bella and proceeded to seek out her Raichu in utter panic. Fortunately, it didn't take long for the Raichu to meet up with her master. Unfortunately, there were more problems to be taken care of, including the limp, barely alive body of Jugala...

Krane's help is better than nothing, Venus thought, closing her eyes as she sped down the road in her less-than-dainty sportscar. Her next location was the Pokemon HQ. Jugala's state had surely gotten out of hand, and without Nascour's willingness to solve the problem, someone had to help. Maybe without using force... but I'm not so sure of that.

My ears flicked once more at the sound of... crap, a car. And it was Venus'. Hah, the Cipher that Legend would probably rip apart if she saw. I frowned.

"Gah, more Cipher, eh? A fourteen year old girl too much to handle for you, prep?" I sneered, then saw the car coming. It was quiet to other ears, so I snickered. I crossed my fingers and showed them in front of me to secretly signal my Pokemon to move off of the road. I made sure that Legend was in full view.

The Hexagon Bros., outside the HQ Lab

"We'll show you! Hexagon bros, Sixfold power!" Redsix shouted, each one throwing out a feirce Shadow Pokemon; Houndoom, Wheezing, Electivire, Rhyperior, Magcargo, and Tentacruel, all glaring viciously, and all wearing a device on their head
"Ya stole out Pokemon with that gizmo last time, but now we'll kick your butt!" Blue said, then all joined in at the same time "SHADOW RUSH!"
The Pokemon all attacked at once in perfect unison, storming forward with vicious power and speed.

Gonzap, Snagem's base

Skarmory didn't even flinch at the attack, and righted itsself easily.
"You call that an attack? Skarmory, Aerial Ace, double time!" Gonsap ordered, and Skarmory charged forward, its razor sharp beak catching the Dragonite in the stomach, then using the remaining speed to give itself distance to launch another attack.

Prof. Krane, HQ Lab

Krane was startled to hear the sound of a battle outside.
"Wes, come with me. Everyone else, keep Cipher away from the Shadow Lugia at all costs; if they get it back ,there's no telling what chaos they could cause." Krane sounded worried, and gestured to Wes before hurrying to the habitat they were keeping XD001.

Dance.

It was the first word that ran across my mind as I saw the Pokemon attack all at once. To any other person, this would have confused them, but to me, it made total sense.

By now all of my Pokemon had gathered, snarling. I lifted my hands to the sky, and they stiffened. I twirled, and they growled, Wildfire and Legend conjuring up attacks. I twirled once more and Legend released the water that had been inside of her in the ultimate Hydro Cannon directly at the Rypherior, who, since he was in mid-charge, had no way of avoiding it.

Lady stepped forwards.

"AMPHAROS!" she cried out, inclining her head with eyes closed tightly, fists balled. Static riddled her body, then lightning bolts rained down on Tentacruel and Houndoom-the two Pokemon I had told her to target.

I leaped into the air, legs spread into a split in mid-leap, and Lucy lifted her tail in the air, slamming it down just as the Houndoom tackled her, making her flinch as she released the Earthquake attack. Wildfire used Protect, as well as Legend and were saved, and Starlight had used Boiunce to lunge high into the air, avoiding the attack. All Pokemon touching the ground or not using Protect were hit by the Earthquake, which meant Lady was dazed for a few moments, recovering.

The Ampharos shook her head to snap out of it, and glared at the Tentacruel, curious to it's fate. On the other hand, Magcargo had collided with Wildifre's sheild, and hit with EQ soon after. I felt sorry for him.

I lifted my sleeve to reveal the hand-made snag machine on my arm, and lifted it to her mouth, tearing off a cap that extended her maxium capture rate to six. Perfect.

I withdrew six Ultra Balls from my bag and threw them in usion, hoping to be able to capture them.

“I’m Cou and this is Ren,” he said looking back to the girl in the car, hoping to get some kind of response from her other than her blank stare. “Are you heading to the lab as well?”

“Cou, she could be with Cipher for all you know,” said Ren quietly, touching Cou’s arm cautiously as she looked from the girl to the vaporeon and back to Cou.

“Why would she be with Cipher? You know pokemon emotions better than anyone and you’re not reacting in anyway to hers,” Cou said before turning back to the girl. “Cipher broke out of jail, if you didn’t know that already. Is it ok with you if we follow you to the lab?”

The second the Poke balls got in range, they bounced back uselessly to the ground, repelled by some force.
"That won't work this time, brat!" Yellow scoffed, pointing to the Suicune "Electivire, Shadow Thunder!"
"Everyone else, Shadow Hold!" Electivire's body glowed with black energy and electricity, and a bolt of black-and-yellow lightning blasted from its two tails, while the rest exuded a black aura that held the targeted Suicune in place, their eyes glowing ominously.

I snarled, adnd retorted, "I may be a brat but at least I can count to six!"

I did a backflip and then a back handspring, adding a twirl to the end for a little extra something. I stilled as I finished, my eyes flickering to each one of my Pokemon as they fumed silently.

Then Lucy started it with a Water Cannon, then an Ice Beam. Starlight with a Solar Beam that she had been charging, and then Lady with a final, awesome Thunder. They fused, coilliding with the Shadow Thunder, making it disappear instantly. So great was the strength of the combined forces that it plowed onwards straight at the Shadow Pokemon.

Outside the HQ Lab

The strange noises from the outside also caught my attention. "Follow me." Professor Krane said, headed outside towards all the commotion. "Everyone else protect the Shadow Lugia from the Chiper at all costs."

"Yessir Professor." I said following him outside. Garchomp remained alert and was prepared to go into battle if requested to or was attacked. I reached into my jacket pockets and grabbed the four Pokeballs that were attached to my pocket. I had two in each hand. I fixed my snag machine and had it prepared incase shadow Pokemon were involved which was likely since the only people that would attack us is either the Chiper or Team Snagem. I headed out the front door and saw that the girl with the Suicune was battling the Hexagon brothers. "Looks like she can use some help." I stated. Garchomp nodded and awaited my order.

Rypherior should definately be down for the count-no way of avoiding Hydro Cannon, and he has a major type disadvantage, Legend and Wildfire used Protect, Starlight jumped, like, super high, AND you underestimated a fourteen year old. NEVER underestimate Crystal Estrada.

The tiny sportscar tore down the road, getting Venus a multitude of angered yells and rude words as she ripped by them at over 90 miles and hour. The Shadow tracking system in the car, a gift and necessity given to Venus from Cipher, detected particular activity to the north. It was, fortunately, not far from where she was presently; yet something else bothered her. Irritated, once again...
"That's got to be XD001," Venus muttered aloud. Her grip on the wheel tightened until she found her fingers stinging from lack of blood flow.

It wasn't long before the road narrowed to an unpaved, one-way pathway that would undoubtedly lead straight to the HQ. Venus impatiently tapped her fingers on the wheel, growing more uncertain of her plan every second. No, this has to be done, girl. Pull yourself together. They're all --

Suddenly, as she turned the corner, the immense laboratory came into view. It was white, smooth, and yielded a gigantic, holographic pokeball at its peak. But it was the group of people standing at the front of the HQ that made her breathing come short. She inhaled sharply, barely pressing on the gas.

Professor Krane, Lovrina, some teenage boy, some teenage girl, and -- Arceus almighty -- the Hexagon Brothers had somehow been scrambled together in an incredibly strange and unfortunate mishap. The girl happened to be fighting the Hexagon Brothers, Venus noticed, but besides that... Krane was surrounded by a bunch of vicious fools.
I'll never get to him this way.

And Venus wasn't about to. Of course, she would have completely changed paths -- opting for the dramatic getaway and hoping to lose any of her pursuers -- if it weren't for the creature that she saw amongst the jumble of fighting Pokemon.

"The shadow Suicune," Venus gasped loudly, throwing her hand over her heart. "It... she lives..." For what seemed like the millionth time that eventful day, ridiculous thoughts flooded Venus's mind. How did she survive? Where did she escape to? And she... is she still a Shadow?

Without another thought, Venus recklessly flung her car to maximum speed, flooring the gas. She didn't care who she hit, or what hit her, as long as she could get to her shadow Suicune...

Aki, Fausto, and Squint

"Cipher! They are done for! Fausto, you and Ashley stay here and try not to do anything stupid. Actually, Ashley, if you could hack lab security and lock down Lugia's habitat room, that would be perfect." Aki said, her voice almost a deadly calm. With that, she pulled a pokeball from her waist and smiled.

"Kurenai, are you there if I need you?" She asked softly, in response, the pokeball shook violently. Aki grinned "As I thought." she murmured, and stormed out of the lab and into the outside chaos.

Squint and Fausto

Squint snorted "Moggle, back in, and do just as she said, please." she said. The Porygon rolled it's eyes and traveled back into the USB port.

"Piece of cake. I'll add a code lock on it, too so they can't break in, either." Moggle's computer voice read. Fausto looked around and sighed and took out two pokeballs.

"Raiga, Kyu, time to roll!" He shouted, tossing the pokeballs in the air. In a flash, there were a Jolteon and Vulpix in front of him.

Ashley snorted again "Puh-leeze. Those two are pathetic! Shenzii, Mouse, time to shine!" she called, and her Luxray and Shinx stood by her side in a second.

Aki

Aki burst outside and sent out her Ninetales and Umbreon. Kurenai let out a loud snarl that shook the air. "Ah, Lovrina and the Hexagon idiots...this should be easy, especially with so many helping fight." She murmured.

Jovi

Jovi peered out a nearby widow as a thunder shook the floor. Then burst out running as she saw the group outside fighting. She found herself in the lobby with Fausto and his cousin setting up a defensive position. "What's going on?" she asked. No one answered her, and she sent Mist forward to join the line of pokemon by the door. After a moment, there was cheer from Squint.

"Go Moggle! XD001 is locked down and theres a code to the lock, so there's no way they're getting in!" She shouted to Fausto, who nodded. The air was charged with expectation.

Chaos erupted everywhere, from Venus's arrival, the Hexagon Brothers' battle, and the sounds of people shouting within the lab, Lovrina just smiled. Maybe I don't have to battle her after all, she thought. Lovrina used the confusion to get closer to the lab, her Delcatty walking quickly behind. "Just walking in the door is quite boring, isn't it Delcatty?" She mused. "Shadow Rush. Now."

The Pokemon darted forward, its shadow aura becoming visible for a split second, and the window before Lovrina shattered. A large gaping hole was left in its place, so she just slipped inside. "Now where could my dark jewel be?" Lovrina looked at her surroundings, and saw a couple of people standing in the room. There were a few Pokemon out as well. Lovrina put a scowl on her face, saying, "You four! You shouldn't be down here! There's a battle outside. But...Since you're here, anyway, just answer a question that I have. Where is XDOO1?"

Aki, Fausto, Squint, and Jovi

Kurenai let out anouther feral snarl, Aki raised her hand gently "Wait." she whispered, then snorted. "You honestly think Krane's that stupid, don't you? Actually, we're supposed to be here--to keep you out." she said, laughing. Then she smiled even wider "Hey, Lovrina? You remember me?" She asked innocently, wondering if she did.

Squint smiled and stood "Hey Moggle, why don't you come out now? I think we might just have a fight on our hands." she said with a grin. Then she looked up a Lovrina as Moggle shot out of her laptop's USB port for the umpteenth time. "Even if you did know where XD001 was, it's not like you'd be able to get in fast enough to get out with it before the cops showed. It's locked down and coded, and it's a classic Moggle job, you won't be getting in, even if you get past us--which I highly doubt will happen. This is Ashley Vand and Moggle you're dealing with. Oh, and by the way, you really like to keep neat reasearch notes, don't you? It was impossibly easy to figure out how to purify XD001, wasn't it?" Squint taunted, bluffing the last part. Fausto, going along, nodded.

"Yeah, it really was. Kind of obvious for someone like Squint here and Moggle." He said with a smirk, for once appreciating his cousin's genius. Jovi walked out into the mess and stood there quietly, ready to fight. This was her time to prove she wasn't just a little kid anymore.

I snarled, spying Lovrina sneak past us and Venus driving at fuill speed at us, but was way too busy to deal with the two. I snarled once more, and I used my own distraction with the combined beam to do back handsprings until I was well away from the Hexagon Bros., my Pokemon keeping up with me quite well-even Lucy had thrown paths of ice in front of her to slide on them and keep up with us. I smiled-this should make Venus' car lose control in seconds.

I lunged through the shattered glass of the lab door as I reached it with lithe, sailing into the room.

"So the girly-girl prep is after Shadow Lugia, of course," I snarled, sweeping my hand towards the side towards Legend, who released a Hydro Pump straight at her back, and Wildfire preparing a Fire Blast incase she dodged.

Hexagon Bros. HQ Lab

"Houndooom, Shadow Fire!" Red ordered, and the Houndoom rushed forwards, blocking the gilrs path of escape.
"Shadow Rush, again!" The others ordered, and the Pokemon that were still able to attack struck out with tremendous force, their black auras turning red with their rage, increasing their attack power amazingly. However, Electivire did not attack, and Yellow and her Pokemon ran for the entrance of the lab, smashing through the doorway with the Electivire in the lead

"Why don't you hand over XD001, before we crush you like you deserve?" Yellow said after her current commander, grinning viciously.

Aki, Fausto, Squint, and Jovi

Aki burst into laughter, followed by Squint. "Yeah, I'll think about it... No. It'll be much more fun to crush you like the annoying little ants you are." Squint chimed. Kurenai pranced with anticipation, whining to get started. Aki sighed and held out her hand, a more powerful sign for wait.

"You know, your plan's so full of holes right now that even I can see through it--and I'm blind. And you, new girl, back off. You help handle the Hexagon idiots outside we can handle thses fools. You're underestimating us a bit too much." Aki said calmly, the first part directed at Lovrina and Yellow while the last bit was directed at Crystal. Jovi nodded silently, as did Fausto, while Squint pushed up her glasses and smirked.

"Moggle, get ready. I may just need you to hack the systems again." Squint said softly. Moggle rolled her eyes in response and beeped, but didn't argue further.

Venus was far too absorbed in the thought of finding, seeing, and possibly recapturing the shadow Suicune to realize, in time, that a wide path of ice had replaced the gravel road beneath her car's tires. Suddenly she found herself swiveling uncontrollably; desparate to save Jugala, Venus clutched the shadow Jirachi in her arms, squeezing her eyes shut. As expected, the tiny sportscar took a final lurch and flipped over, rolling repeatedly and scraping its outer body harshly on the ice.

"AAGH! Someone stop -- this damn -- thing!" Venus roared crackily between flips. The car seemed like it was never going to stop; the ice only increased its momentum as it hurled toward the HQ. Inevitably, it would crash, if some familiar creature hadn't suddenly released herself Venus's stylized pokeball once again.

With little strength left, Ruffles embraced herself as she was forced sideways, upward, and downward as the sportscar rolled. As she attempted to recover herself, the Raichu courageously Mega Punched the thick window of the sportscar and flung itself out in one swift movement.
But as Ruffles tried sprinting to match the speed of the car, she soon realized that it looked like there was no hope -- that the car would inevitably crash into the HQ, and all in front of it...

I snarled, then glared back out at the Hexagon Bros., then looked back at Aki. I nodded.

"But if you can't finish Lovrina off, she's mine," I growled before Lucy shot a thick sheeet of ice out in front of her. Suddenly 340 pounds of muscle and fat barreled down the new ice path, easily breaking through the Hexagon Bros.

((Not meaning to bunny, but I would move too if I saw a Walrein sliding at twenty miles an hour carried by a slight slope down ice right at me. xD))

I myself slid purposely on the ice past them, and Starlight leaped over the group with ease. Wildfire and Legend enjoyed themselves briefly by sliding on the ice. They came to the end of the ice path and stopped.

"Crap," I growled. Lucy's path had made Venus' car go out of control, and it was now on a direct path to colliding with the lab. Legend stared at me for a moment as if asking a question-and she was. I nodded and then returned my gaze to the out-of-control car.

Legend was at the car in almost an instance, managing to mantain her balance on the ice. She chomped down on one of the front tires and ripped it off, the end of the axle digging into the ice and then the ground. She did the same with the other three until the car had come to a stop, then circled the car once and jumped onto the hood. It dented slightly under her weight.

She dipped her nose into the car through the frame of the windshield and licked the blood off of Venus' forehead that had came from a small cut.

((Who wouldn't get a cut from that? o-o))

"I have forgiven you for what you did to me," Legend said, a sliver of her eyes filled with despise at the memories. I remembered the first time she had talked to me. I knew she was a legendary, but I never expected it. "I am no longer a Shadow Pokemon, Venus. I like it with Crystal more that I did with you. I am sorry.

That I was slightly shocked by even though Legend's personality was very kind and forgiving.

Legend placed her head on Venus' shoulder, only then catching the scent of the Shadow Jirachi, then she didn't know how to react.

"What is wrong with Jirachi, despite the fact his heart is closed?" LEgend asked, seething quietly, but her eyes glared at Venus slightly.

"LOOK OUT!" Blue shouted, and all but Purple managed to get out of the way before getting smashed by the Walrein, leaving Purple-- quite litterally-- flat on the ground.

"Hurry, in here." Krane said to Wes, unlocking the door to the habitat they were keeping XD001 in. He ushered Wes inside, and closed the door

An unsteady Venus had suddenly screeched to a stop with a loud pop -- something had popped the tires. The car was no longer in collision path. Instead, a mirage of the Suicune had taken place. Dazed, Venus thought, I must be dead already... she's forgiving me. Tch. That was when the legendary touched Venus's shoulder and roughly startled her awake. I'm not... dreaming. This is real.

"What is wrong with Jirachi, despite the fact his heart is closed?" Suicune had asked. Venus blinked several times and grinned widely, not needing another wake-up call. All that mattered was that Suicune had come back to her... at least to help her for now.
Thinking deeply of a good answer, Venus replied, "Well... Jugala -- that's his name; he's a pretty one, you know -- somehow managed to blow up the entire laboratory. Back at..." She paused uncertainly, unsure of how the Suicune would take the name. "Cipher's facilities."

"Hurry, in here." Krane said to me, unlocking the door to the habitat they were keeping XD001 in. He ushered me inside, and closed the door. "If they get here, stop them at all costs; they can't get the Shadow Lugia back!"

"Of course Professor" I said nodding my head and brought out a whistle that was inaudible to humans, but Flygon could hear loud and clear.

Flygon dove down towards the lab. Flygon saw that one of the human transportation devices was out of control and was in straight collision with the HQ building. He was about to dive into the car, but the girls Suicune from earlier managed to stop the car before Flygon did. Flygon shrugged and flew inside the HQ building and landed right next to Garchomp and I.

"Alright guys, take your positions." I ordered. My Pokeballs jiggled and 4 red lights shone bright Froslass, Spiritomb, Porygon - Z, and Gliscor took their positions surrounding the room that led to the Shadow Lugia.

"Let's see them try and get in." I said.

"Well... Jugala -- that's his name; he's a pretty one, you know -- somehow managed to blow up the entire laboratory. Back at..." Legend raised an eyebrow as Venus paused. "Cipher's facilities."

A snarl ripped from her throat, and the claws on her front left foot dug into the metal of the vehicle at the name 'Cipher'. She looked away for a moment, collecting her calm.

"At least it was destroyed," she said, a slight hint of a growl in her voice. "But what exactly is wrong with him? I sense that you have come for help."

I looked away, back at the squished Hexagon Bro. I flinched, but then surpressed a giggle and rose.

"He'll feel that in the morning..." I said quietly. I looked back up at the others and used their surprise to signal Starlight, Lucy, and Wildfire with a sweep of the hand. Lucy roared and relased a Sheer Cold attack on Electivire-if it hit, then instant KO. Starlight blasted an Overheat at Wheezing, and Wildfire going with a hasty Dig. She had practiced this so much, it took her about three seconds before she was fifty feet under, then came back up under Wheezing, hoping to hit him directly.

As the Suicune snarled at the mention of Cipher, Venus closed her eyes and lowered her head, trying to keep her mind away from the throbbing pain in her head. I knew this wouldn't be good. She opened her eyes as the Suicune spoke again.

"But what exactly is wrong with him? I sense that you have come for help."

Venus sighed, a little louder than she expected. "Well, yes, that's true. I came here because Jugala is injured. I'm sure it's beyond recovering, too." She paused, remembering the recent events. "I guess after his transformation, there was some... well, I'm not sure, some extra unstable power he had within him. Then the eye -- his true eye, that is -- opened, and I suppose that's when all the power was released, destroying the laboratory and some in it. When Ruffles -- you remember her, don't you? -- and I found him, he was unconscious and... and..." She gave a dramatic sob. "Dying. I think Jugala is dying, Suicune." Another sob. "Of course, Nascour wouldn't help, and I didn't know how to save him... so I came here."

There was something in Venus's voice that even convinced herself that she was being true to herself. This wasn't about her, it was about Jugala. Right?
"I had just found him, back in Pyrite, by some stroke of luck... I suppose I am a lucky person," Venus added, rolling her eyes and grinning through her spilling tears. "And I don't want to lose him. Like I..." She didn't want to finish the sentence. Not with Suicune right in front of her...

Legend listened intently, the last part definately catching her immediate attention.

"I had just found him, back in Pyrite, by some stroke of luck... I suppose I am a lucky person," Venus said, rolling her eyes and smiling through the tears that spilled form her eyes like a waterfall. "And I don't want to lose him. Like I..."

She trailed off, and Legend knew what she had been about to say.

"I don't want to lose him. Like I did you."

Legend stiffened slightly, realizing something for the first time-Venus had actually loved her. But why had she tortured her keeping ehr a Shadow Pokemon? She could have quit Cipher-Legend knew as a fact that Venus knew that being a Shadow Pokemon was torturous.

Legend sighed.

"I see now that you really did love me-but one question: why did you keep me as a Shadow Pokemon? It is wrong and iif you want your Pokemon to love you back, then you shouldn't keep them as a Shadow. You could end all of this right now-quit Cipher and we could take Jugala to Prof. Krane for help-I promise. Please, Venus, end this now."

The Hexagon bros., HQ Lab

Wheezing was withought a trainer at the moment, but an expertly-timed Smokescreen blocked all the Hexagon bros. from view. This gave Purple time to recover, and the rest time to corner Professor Krane as he locked the door to XD001's room. The five surrounded him, grinning evilly
"Tell us the password, or you're toast!" Red ordered, grinning savagely

((In case you're wondering, Red is the "leader" of the Hexagon bros.))

"Electivire, get outta the way and use Shadow Thunder!" Yellow ordered, and the Electivire obeyed, skirting the Sheer Cold attack and unleashing a powerful Shadow Thunder on Suicune, its eyes glowing red.

[Silvyre]

Venus looked up, hastily wiping the small tears from her eyes. "Well, of course I did," she replied to Suicune, rolling her eyes again and smilling matter-of-factly. "I care and have cared for all my Pokemon just like myself. Really, I chose only the greatest, which means they deserved the greatest of care. But you know..." she said softly, her smile fading. "People used to criticize my team for being too -- " she made air quotes around the word -- "wimpy. Not strong enough. Delicate." Much like they used to call me, she thought. Her mouth pressed into a thin line.

"Of course, I couldn't tolerate such words," she said indignantly. "Making shadow Pokemon just... seemed like the right thing do." Venus paused. And with the fact that Evice made the idea sound fabulous... "But I suppose that's all behind us now, now that we have finally reunited." She smiled again, trying to ignore the fact that Suicune was no longer hers. "It's all right if you're under someone else's control. I'll... try to understand."

"You could end all of this right now-quit Cipher and we could take Jugala to Prof. Krane for help-I promise. Please, Venus, end this now."

Slightly moved by Suicune's words, Venus was unusually silent, deep in thought. Quit Cipher? The thought was... well, unthinkable. Cipher had been her life for more than eight years. When she felt down, the only thought that kept her alive and going was the fact that she was the boss among bosses. She had power. She was not delicate. But... I did come all the way here for Jugala... Indeed, she had been ignored by Nascour when she had implored him for his help. No one could help the shadow Jirachi there. But... that was the word that made her falter. Shadow. Suicune, who had been one of her best friends as a Shadow before, was now... happier without being as powerful. Then, could it be possible? The legend's words echoed once more: Please, Venus, end this now.

"...If you think it's right, Suicune, then I'll do it. I will... stop involving myself with this whole idea of shadow Pokemon." Venus closed her eyes and nodded shakily. "Just take me to Professor Krane and we will figure this out."

Legend listened quietly, glad that she would give it all up.

"I'm not forcing you, Venus, but I do promise that we'll give you a place to be if you quit. We'll help Jugala, we-"

Legend snarled and cut off abruptly at the sound of the command, whipping around in time to see the Shadow Thunder, but it was too late- there was no way to dodge, only counter. And yet there was nothing that she knew that could counter it.

Legend stiffened, and the Shadow Thunder hit the Suicune head on, making her cry out in obvious pain, collapsing on the hood, tossing one last desperate glance at Venus before losing conciousness.

Aki, Fausto, Squint, and Jovi

"No!" Aki gasped, 'seeing' that Krane was back in the building and dealing with the Hexagon idiots. "Squint, come with me! Fausto, Jovi, stay here and try to hold them back." Aki ordered. Squint grabbed her computer and looked over to Shenzii and Mouse.

"You two stay here and hold up the fort, make sure Fausto and Jovi's pokemon don't get beat up too badly. Shenz, don't focus on Mouse too much, I know she's your daughter, but it will impair you ability to fight by yourself. Moggle, you're with me." She said quickly and darted off after Aki.

Aki and Squint

As soon as the Hexagon idiots, minus Yellow, came into view, Aki smiled. "Kurenai, take whoever you want and use return. Night, use a pyschc on that Wheezing, hopefully that will get it out of the picture." She ordered, Kurenai immediately went after Redsix himself, launching herself at the red clad peon and Night growled deeply and his eyes became a mixed violet from the blue veil of psychc power as he sent his attack at Purple's Wheezing, just as Aki had ordered.

Squint grinned "Hold it! You'll need more than Krane to open that door! I added my own security lock to it that you idiots won't be able to break even with Krane's code." she said smugly.

Venus could only watch helplessly as the ridiculously powerful Shadow Thunder hit Suicune dead on, striking the legendary away before she could do anything.

"NO! SUICUNE!" she roared. Venus caught sight of the injured Suicune lying in despair on the hood of her battered sports car before she cast a deathly glare at Yellow. Ripping herself free -- albeit painfully -- from the inside of the destroyed car, Venus clenched her fists together as she put herself between the foolish Hexagon brothers and Suicune.

"As your boss," she growled, "I will take pleasure in not only punishing you, but destroying you personally!" She nearly crushed the pokeball in her hand before she threw it. "Steelix! Punish this fool, use Flash Cannon!"

"RRRROOOOOO-OOO," Steelix cried, a ball of metallic energy building up in its gargantuan mouth. The massive Pokemon released the cannon with what seemed to be a supersonic bang, headed directly for Yellow's shadow Electivire.

Hexahon Bros., HQ Lab

"Sorry, Venus, but the boss gave me explicit orders NOT to listen to you!" Yellow grinned, then ordered her Electivire "Shadow Thunder! Again!" Electivire's tails glowed again, and another blast of Shadow Thunder met the Steelix's flash cannon
"AND, I've had my comm. link open the entire time! The boss is probably finding out about this right now!"


Wheezing took the hit, but still remained up. Purple released his Swalot as well, turning to face them
"Like you can take six of us at once!" Purple scoffed, then ordered his Pokemon "Swalot, Wheezing, Smokescreen!" The two Pokemon opened their outhes and spewed black smoke between them and the other Trainers. In the confusion, the group grabbed Krane and dragged him to a newly-arrived hover truck. They hurled the Professor in, and followed, leaving Yellow to keep the other Trainers distracted.

And through it all, they never noticed me-I was on the Hexagon Bros.' side of the Smokescreen, yet they paid no mind to me.

I threw an immensely worried look at Legend, then returned and all of my Pokemon except for Wildfire and my Suicune as they threw Krane in the hover truck. I crouched on all four legs and ran faster than I could on two towards the truck, snagging the rear bumper, Wildfire following me.

I cleared the body of the truck in one mosterous leap, landing on the windshield and shattering the glass onto the Hexagon Bros. I then looked up to see that Wildfire had already melted a gaping hole in the body of the truck, so I hastily jumped back up there, using the undoubted-shock of the brothers to my advantage.

I slid into the hole, hissing in unworldly pain as I scraped my right arm on the sharp, molten metal. I snarled, expressing my pain even more before sluggishly and painstakingly locating Krane by his breathing.

Wildfire knew what to do-she wasted no time in ducking under him and rising, self-seating him on her back. I slumped against the wall as she watched Wildfire leap out with Krane. She came back for me, buit I shook my head no before glancing at the blood pouring from my ghastly wound. The chrome-colored Ninetales did me a favor by ramming into the door and bursting it open, and the two of us leaped out, my hand grasping my wound.

I released all of my Pokemon, and they surrounded the three of us, prepared to attack and protect, I turned to Krane, flinching in pain.

"Ar-are you... ok, Professor Krane?" I asked warily, the slightest drop of blodd coming to my mouth and trickling down my lip and chin. I wiped it away, then collapsed onto the ground-still concious, but barely.

OOC: I might have bunnied a bit, but for all the hell that Krane has given Crystal I deserve it. xD

Venus narrowed her eyes at Yellow's words. But what would it matter if Nascour found out? She no longer referred to him as Master. In fact, she was done with Cipher in its entirety.

The explosion caused by the Shadow Thunder and Flash Cannon was deafening. Venus covered her ears and turned away so as not to be struck by falling debree. Casting a quick glance at Suicune behind her, Venus commanded, "Steelix, hold him off while I help Suicune. I know you can deal with this kind of thing." Steelix cried out once more, signifying his agreement. As Venus took off to aid Suicune, Steelix moved closer and let loose a charged Iron Tail at the Electivire.

"Suicune... I know you're hurt," Venus said softly, attempting to lift the injured legendary up onto her back, "but you've got to stay strong for a bit. I know you are; I've seen you kick some serious ass." Her small joke, in attempt to lighten the mood, failed to make Venus less afraid for Suicune. "Come on... we've got to find your owner..."

Legend's eyes opened sluggishly.

"Suicune... I know you're hurt," Venus said gently, trying to lift Legend to her back, but she slumped, whimpering. "But you've got to stay strong for a bit. I know you are; I've seen you kick some serious ass." Her small joke, in attempt to lighten the mood, failed to make Venus less afraid for Suicune. "Come on... we've got to find your owner..."

Legend laughed hoarsely.

"Yeah, I've seen myself kick serious ass too, and maybe now won't be too much of an exception..." Legend said, trying to rise, but then fell back down once more. "...or not."

The Suicune lifted her head an inch or so and scanned the area, finding her owner in a heap on the ground from the deep gash in her arm.

"Noo...." she groaned, attempting to rise, but only falling and rolling off of the hood. She stood once more, her balance extremely shaky and about to waver. She staggered a few steps, and repeated the proccess, the number of steps lessening as she neared her Trainer. She finally made it, though, Crystal's Pokemon making way for her.

The legendary Pokemon collapsed at Crystal's side, her head falling onto Crystal's slowly rising and falling stomach. I painstakingly placed a hand on her side, then my eyes closed, and we were both out like a light.

Fausto and Jovi

"What the--" Fausto gasped as Venus's and Yellow's attacks met with a thunderous bang that shook the lab, sending him to the floor, while Jovi leaned against the wall. Mist let out an earslpitting yowl that had both teens clapping their hands over their ears.

"Mist, Mist! What's wrong???" Jovi demanded when the Vaporeon had stopped. Mist ran to the window and scratched at it, yowling a little less forcefully now, but making sure it annoyed Jovi enough to get her trainer to look out the window. Jovi ran to the door and went to scoop up Mist when she saw the disaster outside and nearly dropped her vaporeon. "Oh my...holy Arceus!" she gasped at the scene. Fausto stood and looked at Jovi, confused.

"What's wrong, Jov..." The words died on his lips. Total chaos stood before them, as well as Lovrina and Yellowsix had her back to them. A wreck sportscar was just off the road, Venus standing in the wreckage, along with the Professor, and the new girl and her Suicune were on the ground... what had they missed. At about that time, Aki's furious cussing could be heard, interrupted by a cough every so often.

"...Freaking idiots! Use smokescreen on a blind girl, huh? Only thing it did was screw with my breathing!" she paused to cough and then continued her rant. "Stupid cowards! They grabbed the Prof. and ran, i'm so useless!" she growled. There was another cough and then Ashley's voice.

"Don't Aki, I couldn't do anything either. Besides, this place is guarded by a bunch of us, I doubt they got away..." her voice was faint, probably not very close.

OCC: sorry for not posting had something else to do. Metal i put Ren's SU .

No sooner than Cou asked her if they could follow her to the lab seven bikes flew by them followed by a car. The first bike was different from the others because it's traveled faster then the ones behind it. As they passed Cou noticed that except for the first one which its driver is a girl. the second group of bikes the first one which he could have sworn was being ridden by a girl, each of the riders had on different colored jumpsuits.

“Cou, doesn’t that look like the group Perr told us about when we first got here last year?” asked Ren looking up at him.

“That’s right, he said they were with Cipher,” replied Cou, trying to remember what else Perr had told them. “Didn’t he say something else too, that they close the hearts of the pokemon, that they call them shadow pokemon?”

“Professor Krane told us about that too. They said it makes them more vicious. They were working on purifying them again. We have to get to the HQ Lab then Cou, start the bike up.”

With Ren safely in the sidecar Cou shot the bike forward towards the lab, taking the turns faster then he should have but accelerating regardless, afraid of what they might find. After they turned the last corner and entered the clearing before the lab Cou slammed on the brakes, twisting the handlebars to the right to skid to a stop. Ren cried out, but he didn’t know if it was from the sudden flailing stop or from what awaited them. What they saw before them was total chaos.

What was left of a car lay crumpled and disabled, its four tires gone and laying in shredded pieces along the trail of debris the car had left as it flipped over. How anyone could have survived that wreckage and how the car avoided careening straight into the lobby of the lab itself, neither Cou nor Ren could fathom. The front door to the lab was broken, the entrance now a jagged gaping hole in the front of the building surrounded by shards of glass and the remnants of the door. From inside they could hear shouting and the muffled sounds of what could only be fighting.

“Ren, stay here.”

“Ok, but be careful.”

As Cou walked closer to the car he saw a woman on top and a girl nearby, unconscious with her pokemon around her. He took two poke balls from his belt and threw them into the air. Salamence and Chariziard emerged, eagerly surveying the area and looking to Cou for instructions.

“Ok, Sam help out Steelix. Char, melt the tires on those bikes and that truck,” Cou said, watching them take off to follow their orders. He took two more balls from his belt, calling out Nearra and Davyn.

“You two keep Ren safe,” he instructed, knowing she would not keep put for long; at least she would be protected if she got into trouble. Cou turned to see Sam land next to Steelix and stare down Electivire.

“Use Dragon Pulse on Electivire now!”

Oh, and Gotin, I know it might seem a little impossible that Venus survived the car wreck. Let's just say... I overexaggerated the car rolling, I suppose. Heh >_>

Back near the car wreck, Steelix found himself joined by two allies, a Salamence and a Charizard. With all their power, he believed they could overpower even the shadow Electivire. Steelix roared and prepared another Flash Cannon.

As Suicune struggled miserably to get up, Venus watched in agony, only trying to help where she thought help was needed. But somehow, Suicune made it to the girl - the girl that Venus had seen the legendary beast with before. She didn't know who the girl was, but she was Suicune's new owner, and she was obviously injured. Venus's eyes widened and then squeezed shut as the two blacked out, void of strength and energy. Moaning, Venus then clutched her hands to her head, realizing how much pain she was in from the wreck. Come on, pull yourself together...

Whipping her head around, Venus noticed several kids standing inside the laboratory, a Vaporeon yowling irritably next to them. She knew that going through the front of the HQ would only worsen things. Another exit, really... come on, you're the Lady Venus, right? Venus closed her eyes, inhaled and exhaled deeply, and scanned the large laboratory for a separate entrance. Seeing none, she decided the back would have to do. Struggling to move Suicune and the girl out of harm's way, Venus called out Ruffles and Bella for extra help. Venus hoisted Suicune onto the Milotic's serpentine back, and she pulled the girl onto her own. They don't need any more of these dumb battles.

"Ruffles," Venus called through the noises of battle nearby, "I need you to find another entrance. We will follow you as closely as we can, but don't worry about us. Find another way inside."
"Raii raiiiiii." Ruffles nodded curtly and raced away, loyal to her master's commands. From there, Venus and Bella followed the Raichu's path as quickly as they could. It was not long before the static electricity and Ruffles's cry could be heard.

"Over here, Bella," Venus said softly. They turned the curving corner and after following the outer edge of the HQ, Venus and Bella came upon an eccentric Ruffles, tailing whipping around as she burst the humble back door open. Venus sighed with relief and gently lowered the girl onto the ground; the Milotic did the same with Suicune. Returning Bella, Venus then said to Ruffles, "Take care of them. Let no one hurt them, all right? I'm finding some help inside." With another mutual nod, Venus dashed through the door and down the hallway.

"HEEEELP! SOMEBODY HELP!"

Aki and Squint

Aki growled, incredably agitated she couldn't help the Prof. at all, in spite of Squint's attempt to ease her anger. Aki turned her head in the direction Venus had broke in, she frowned, who else was breaking in now? Squint looked at her oddly "Aki, what's wrong, you feel something?" Squint asked, fully aware of Aki's ability. At about that time, Venus's shouts filled the hall.

"HEEEELP! SOMEBODY HELP!"(Silvyre quote) A woman was shouting, Aki turned her head to Squint and tapped her toes on the floor.

"That....and that girl from earlier and her Suicune!" Aki gasped, she could tell they were laying on the floor with a Raichu near her. She felt Venus's footsteps as she ran and sighed, taking in a dep breath.

"Oh shut up already! We hear you, just give us a minute!" She shouted agitatedly, and proceeded to stomp down the hall flanked by Night and Kurenai, as well as Squint in close pursuit.

Yellosix, HQ Lab

Electivire took both the hits before Yellow could give an order to dodge. She looked around and saw she was outnumbere.
"Electivire, return!" She recalled the Shadow Pokemon to its Pokeball. At which point, she bolted for her hovercycle, and fled before any other attacks could be made at her.

[Silvyre]

"RRRRRROOOOOOOOO," Steelix cried furiously. The target had suddenly disappeared from sight, right after it had taken the intense Flash Cannon. He had been about to charge directly for the shadow Electivire when it was returned to its owner. Without another move, Steelix began spinning his massive iron body to drill a hole right through the ground. He moved quickly, narrowly avoiding Venus's destroyed sportscar...

Venus felt her pulse race as she heard the sound of voices - albeit, not happy voices - and footsteps rushing toward her. She cleared her throat as they got nearer and hurried down the main hallway aimlessly, whereupon she found a girl with bandages over her eyes and another, shorter girl with unusually fiery-red hair. She stopped there, eyes wide and seemingly... frightened.
"You... two. As much as I hate to say it, I'm really in need of someone's help. I need to help an old friend. Do you have, oh I don't know, a doctor or a pokemon doctor in this lab?"

Aki and Squint

Aki shuffled her feet to get a better 'look' at Venus and shook her head. "No, we don't have one specific person as a doctor here, but I'm quite good at medicine. And if I can't help, I have a...friend that can." she replied. Squint looked at Venus incredulously and then looked at Aki, there was no way she didn't...

"Aki, you do realize this is Venus, right? Cipher's Venus?????" She said in a very low whisper, Aki nodded simply. Kurenai growled at the mention of Cipher, but did no more than that. Aki's face went into a mask of smooth expressionlessness as she turned her head to face Squint.

"Yes, I do know that, Squint, but thanks for the warning. But I can also feel that that new girl and her Suicune are hurt, and I don't care much for the girl, but I knew that Suicune before Cipher first caught it. I got to ride XD001 once, too. Before Cipher took it as well. My nature as Celebi's former Protector won't allow me to let that Suicune suffer, and he'll help too if he catches wind of it." Aki replied calmly, then looked to Venus now.

"Do you understand? I know excatly who you are, and if you don't come up with a good explanation after I'm done, I will call the cops on you. If you try to take that Suicune or bring further harm to anyone here, Venus, my dear Kurenai and Night wil be happy to shred you." she said almost innocently. Squint shivered. Aki could be ice cold sometimes, and this was one of those times.

I felt myself being lifted, carried farther away. Where was I going?

I could hear the cry for help, and I identified the voice as Venus'. Why did she want to help us? Or did she only want to help herself.

Or... had Legend changed her? It wasn't that probable, but Legend had that kind of influence on people, and it was obvious that Venus had loved Legend dearly by the display of protection of the Suicune.

I couldn't force my eyes open to see, but I could hear Legend attempting to rise, aroused from unconciousness by Venus' cry for help.

Behind my closed eyes, as I would later find out, was that she was limping horridly towards the lab in search of Venus after throwing a worried glance at me.

Legend, despite the pain, picked up pace, which made her limp a bit more obvious, but not by much. As she managed to reach the top of the steps and enter the lab painstakingly, she picked up on part of the conversation.

Venus sighed and attempted to give a smirk. "Do I need an explanation for helping others? I'm not asking for you to aid me." Just as she was about to speak again, Suicune stepped forward and gave a vicious snarl. Venus gasped and threw her hand over her heart, having not heard the legendary come in before. This is all getting to my head, isn't it?

"I don't care WHO you are, but if you want to shred Venus you'll have to get through ME first!" Suicune roared. Mouth gaping open, Venus was stunned completely still at the ferocity of the injured Suicune's words. Lady Venus... you can make this happen, she thought to herself.

"But in any case," Venus added, feigning an all-knowing smile, "I mean, I don't really care what you do to me. My car's been wrecked, my outfit is ruined, who knows how my darling Steelix is doing..." She sighed theatrically and rolled her eyes. "You'll have to help Suicune. And the girl. If you'd like to fight, Suicune and I - on separate teams, no doubt - are here to accept your challenge. But that will all come later." Narrowing her eyes, Venus chuckled for added effect, staring at the more stout girl next to the blind one. "It might be a bad thing, now, that Cipher's name is feared. I do not know where I stand. I am not alongside you. But I am most certainly not with Cipher any longer."

Aki and Squint

Aki turned her head to Legend, giving the appearance of looking at the Suicune, hardly fazed at the threat coming from it. She laughed siliently, chest rising and falling rapidly for a moment and smiled at Legend. "Do you really want to fight Celebi? He'll take my side--I'm no longer his constant companion, but he will come to my aid if need be. As for the girl, again, my nature from what I used to be--I can't let her stay hurt either. Now Venus, if you are looking for I fight, I would gladly accept--but my nature is ticking me off. Squint, let go, Kurenai, Night stay here but don't hesitate to attack if she threatens me again." Aki said simply. Squint let go of Aki's wrist and the blind girl approached Legend without fear.

"Hi there, now if I'm going to help you, hold still for a moment and let me see how bad off you are." Aki said with false cheer and bent down next to the Suicune, extending her hand slowly first. The other hand moving to a pouch clipped to the back of her skirt and pulling out a hyper-potion. "I'll help your trainer once I'm done with you." she murmured. She then reched out and touched Legend's side to take a 'look' at how badly the pokemon was hurt.

Squint sighed and sat down, pulling out her laptop. Moggle beeped a few times, but she shook her head. "Nah, I'm just hacking the security cams to check on Fausto and Jovi, and Lovrina. I don't need you in for that." She replied calmly.

[Atropos]

OOC: I'm really sorry I haven't been on! I thought I put this in my last post, but I guess not...But I've been grounded at my mom's house, so that's why I couldn't post.

Lovrina was becoming more and more enraged as their stream of insults rolled on. She could feel the blood rushing to her face, turning it a deep red. She finally exploded. "Shut up! I don't need you talking to me like that! Your words...They're oh so harsh! Why do you have to be ever so mean?" Angry tears flooded Lovrina's eyes, spilling over onto her face. She sniffled a few times, then she began to get angry. Lovrina won't be told what she can and can't do by children. She began to remember the anger after her losses at the old base, and at Citadark Isle. She became irate.

Lovrina was enraged. She didn't care what happens, or who gets hurt to make her way to XD001. Lovrina wouldn't regret anything that she did, as long as she could be with Shadow Lugia. Reason didn't matter, it was only what she felt like doing most. Lovrina tried to put on her best 'menacing' face. "You know what? If you don't show me where XD001 is, I guess I'll have to make my way to it. You wouldn't like the way I choose to do that. Altaria!" Altaria released itself from its ball on its own, immediatly soaring as close to the ceiling as possible. "Get ready to use Fire Blast, dear. This place might have to burn to the ground."

[Giratina]

"Shadow Rush, one more time!"

Dragonite was pushed back slightly by Skarmory's assault, but whipped back around and net the bird's Aerial Ace with a flying tackle of Shadowyness. Roaring, it brought down its fist and sent Skarmory on a crash course to the battlefield's floor.

Fausto and Jovi

Fausto's eyes widened at Lovrina's remark about burning the Lab down, and Jovi turned and whipped out three more pokeballs, but only let out two more pokemon. A Plusle and Minun took their places in front of her, followed by Mist, all of whom stood in front of her, ready to attack.

"Oh, sorry lady, but if you haven't noticed, a lot of the pokemon here are electric types, and last time I checked, Altaria flies and electricity and flying don't mix. And even then, you're deailing with a water type too, Mist wouldn't let this place burn too long! Look lady, you're going down!" Jovi said with a smirk, her two electric types were already charging up, and had been joined by Shenzii and Mouse, followed by Raiga, then Fausto let out his Pichu and he joined them. Kyu stood by Fausto's legs, tail swishing patiently as she waited for an order and watching the growing glow as all the electric types stood together, charge building up for one big attack to get rid of their enemy. Jovi smirked again.

"Now Mist, use water gun!" she ordered, then pointed to the ground, hoping Mist would catch her plan. Then Vaporeon darted forward and shot water at Lovrina and her Delcatty, but more towrads their feet. Jovi smiled and nodded, Mist had gotten the point, now would Lovrina--if she was smart she'd know water and electricity didn't mix either, but she didn't think Lovrina was very smart--not if she was crying over a few taunts.

"Hell, I'll try and fight Raikou and Zapdos if it means keeping Venus in my life," she growled, shifting into a defensive position in front of Venus.

Legend stiffened as Aki approached then put her hand on Legend's side.

"Hi there, now if I'm going to help you, hold still for a moment and let me see how bad off you are," Aki said, the false cheer sticking out sharply as she revealed a Hyper Potion. "I'll help your trainer once I'm done with you."

Right then, Aki was lucky that she didn't have a snarling Suicune in her face right then, for Legend was extremely picky and fussy about who exactly was the one who was helped first-Crystal had always been a first priority to Legend. Instead of snarling she just stayed calm on the outside, but seethed silently on the inside.

Then a sudden whimper startled Legend, making her flinch in surprise as Wildfire, the shiny Ninetales, came up to her side, obviously worried about both Legend and Crystal. The poor Pokemon was torn as far as staying with either Crystal or Legend went, and sulked for a few moments before returning to her trainer's side, pawing her uninjured arm gently. No response. This made the Ninetales look back at Legend, but recieved only a gaze of slight anger to being cared for first, to even allow it.

Suddenly Legend thought of something, whimpered as well, then backed up from under Aki's hand and beside Venus, who was probably in worse condition than the Suicune. Most of Legend's passing out had been from the shock of being hit (certainly no pun intended). Look who had been in a car 'wreck', if there's a thing such as that when there's only one car involved.

"I'm not the least bit worried about myself. I'm not the one who was in a wreck and I'm the one with scrapes, not gashes in my 'arm' from saving Krane," Legend stated. "Crystal's probably the one who deserves the most credit here-Krane could have been miles away by now if she and Wildfire had not interfered."

[Atropos]

Lovrina looked at the water at her feet. Those are my good shoes, too, she thought, If those brats are trying to make me mad by soaking my shoes, they're doing a good job! Then, Lovrina's eyes widened as she realized what was happening. Her jaw dropped as she glanced from the water, to the Vaporeon, to the Plusle and Minun, and back to the water again.

"I'm not stupid, you know! I almost made XD001 impossible to purify, if you remember. I am the world's cutest scientist! I am Lovrina Braxton!" She shouted, glad to boast about what she almost accomplished. It wasn't until after she said it though, she regretted it. She knew those children would throw the "almost" part right back into her face. Oh well.

Lovrina quickly thought back to the boy's remark about Flying and Electric Types. Maybe using Altaria for her ultimatums isn't such a bright idea. "Altaria, forget the Fire Blast," she ordered. "You may have gotten me with the type-advantage thingies, but I can play that game too, you wretched kids! Delcatty, use Thunder on that Vaporeon. Now!"
Delcatty stepped forward, and opened its mouth. A bolt of lighting issued from Delcatty's mouth, but too much. Something was wrong. The lighting split into several bolts, bouncing off of walls, hitting the floor, and the water that Lovrina leapt out of seconds before. But the water still dripped from her shoes. The lighting skipped from the puddle to her shoes, shooting unimagineable pain through Lovrina's body. It was unlike anything she ever felt before. The white-hot pain, it would surely kill her. Wouldn't it? Her feet left the ground as she was thrown across the room. Her screams were drowned out by the sound of the thunder that followed the lightingbolts. She hit the floor, twitching uncontrollably. Then, blackness...

Aki and Squint

Squint yelped as the thunder blacked out the camera and she lost visual on Fausto and Jovi. "No! No, no, NO!" she screamed, snapping the laptop shut violently and jumping up. "No, how could she be so stupid!?!?!?!" Squint shouted violently, then shot a look at Aki on the floor, her head turned toward Crystal now at Legend's comment.

"What? What happened Squint?" Aki asked in a tired, pained, nearly panicked voice. It was clear she was worried, it was rare Squint ever lost her calm when it didn't involve computers, and never like this. Her face had a look of pure sadness, she liked Fausto, he helped her stay sane, her question was almost asking simply 'What did they take from me now?'.

Squint shook her head and felt like crying. "I don't know, Jovi had Mist spray the floor with water and was going to use it to fry Lovrina when the stupid witch had her Delcatty use thunder to try to take out Mist, and it backfired because of the water...and then I lost visual. The thunder attack fried the camera." She replied in a shaking voice, wishing she knew what had happened to her cousin and the little girl. Squint sighed "I have to go. I have to make sure they're okay, will you be alright, Aki?" she knew it was a stupid question, but she asked it anyway.

Aki nodded "I'll be fine. Go!" she replied, the 'Go.' had been said in the most forceful tone Squint had ever heard. She nodded, then remembered Aki was blind.

"Yes, good luck!" She called and ran off, Moggle at her heels.

Aki

Aki sighed and moved to Crystal "Fine." she huffed, her words heavy. She reached out and touched Crystal's hand. It was almost immediately apparent she had a nasty gash on her arm. Aki shook her head "I can't do this myself. You, Venus, go with Kurenai to the main lab and get the first aid kit there. I'm going to call for help, but I don't know if he'll come."

Aki ordered, then turned toward Legend "And if it pleases you, go with them." she said simply. Then she sighed again and pressed her hands together and under the bandages her eyes closed. Please, Celebi, if you can hear me, I need you. She thought, hoping Celebi would hear her.

Fausto and Jovi

Shenzii and Mouse took quite a bit of the backfired thunder to protect Jovi and Fausto by by trying to absorb the electricity themsleves. They took a lot of the electricity before they ran out of space to store the energy, and in spite of their efforts, Mist was hit hard by the attack anyway. A stray bolt had been drawn to her and smacked into her shoulder, with a loud wail the cat-like pokemon fell to the floor.

"Mist!' Jovi shouted, but Fausto restrained her from going to the Vaporeon. Mini and Maxi had joined Shenzii and Mouse, along with Raiga and Sensuke, while Kyu was pressed to the floor and whimpering.

When the thunder finally died down, the lab became eerily quiet, Lovrina had been knocked out. Fausto let Jovi go and the girl hurried to Mist's side while he moved towards the unconcious admin, unsure of how her pokemon had fared.

Venus watched, puzzled, as Suicune shifted into a defensive stance in front of her. The sudden whirl of conversation between her, the blind girl - she'd been called Aki - and Suicune had proved too much for her now-aching head, but she was touched by the Suicune's words. Suicune would do almost anything for her.

But suddenly, a couple of whimpers from outside caught her attention. Venus looked dazedly, and glanced back at Suicune, who was slowly backing away from Aki in her attempt to help the injured Pokemon.
"I'm not the least bit worried about myself. I'm not the one who was in a wreck and I'm the one with scrapes, not gashes in my 'arm' from saving Krane," Legend stated. "Crystal's probably the one who deserves the most credit here-Krane could have been miles away by now if she and Wildfire had not interfered."

Yet again, Venus was too dazed to utter a word. Suicune was right. The girl, who she know knew as Crystal, was much more injured than anyone else. At least, more injured than Venus or Suicune. In any case, the legendary made complete sense in seeing the importance of Crystal's health.

Suddenly, the girl next to Aki - Aki called her Squint - began panicking about a shortage of electricity. Some camera had gone out. Venus would have been shocked and upset if she'd known the purpose of the thing.
"You, Venus, go with Kurenai to the main lab and get the first aid kit there. I'm going to call for help, but I don't know if he'll come."

Venus blinked and wavered slightly. "Got it. I'll go with... uh..." She proceeded to follow Ninetales to... well, wherever they were going. Stumbling at first, Venus felt a little light-headed as she made her way forward. Damn, that carwreck really hit me hard. Heh... Venus absent-mindedly brought both her hands to her head to check her hair, a terrible habit of hers as of many years ago. When she brought them down, she spotted something dark and abnormal. Taking abetter look, she saw what had plagued her hands.
Blood.

"Uh, we should hurry... this might be bad..."

Legend

Legend paid no mind to Aki's huff, just stuck her nose up and turned her back on the girl. It look pretty funny, actually. Legend glanced back up at Venus, and the first thing she saw was the former Cipher member's hands. They were covered in... blood.

No, not blood. I hate blood... Legend groaned inwardly. The stench of blood smelled like iron, almost like death and violence, if even possible for the latter. The Suicune flinched visibly, and allowed another whimper to escape her lips. She walked towards her from behind, walking to Venus' side, most of her side brushing Venus' legs. Legend's head swivelled around her legs and looked up at Venus, a worried look in her usually emotionless eyes.

OOC: Gah, short. If only Cody would post. And I agree with Winter Cherry, Cody. I know you're working on your Fan Fic but saying you ahve nothing to post about is just a white lie.

Aki

Aki looked up after she sent her call, turing towards the sound of Legend's whimper. "What's wrong?" She asked emotionlessly, Kurenai whined in response. Aki frowned and sniffed the air, fliching at the iron-like smell, there was more of it now, not just what had been coming from Crystal. "What happened to you, Venus?" She asked again in a flat monotone and sighed, that was yet another person she'd have to patch up that she didn't like, not that that mattered right now, she was more worried about Jovi and Fausto. Beneath the bandages covering them, her eyes rolled again "Kurenai, go get the kit yourself, Night, go with her. Venus, sit down, I have no idea how badly you're hurt and I don't need you getting dizzy and falling or something and busting your head open. That just leaves me with more of a mess to deal with and I'm just one blind girl, I don't need any more problems." she huffed.

Kurenai and Night shot off quickly to retrieve the first-aid kit. A moment after they left, a soft glow fill the air and Aki smiled. "So you did hear me, Celebi. Nice to see you, or you get what I mean." she said softly.

"Bi, Celebi!" Celebi replied, Aki laughed and turned back to Crystal, a frown coming to her face.

"Sadly, I didn't call to have fun. I need your help to heal these people, can you do it?" Aki asked, Celebi touched her hand lightly in response and landed on the floor by Crystal's side to inspect her gash.

"Biii!" He chirped brightly and Aki nodded.

"Let's try wish, first. Think that would help?"

"Bi. Celebi, bi." The pokemon muttered, and began to use wish on Crystal. Not just her arm, but her altogether, Aki hadn't paid attention to the smaller problems--Celebi was covering them anyway.


Jovi, Fausto, and Squint

Squint rounded the corner in a flurry, and almost cried when she saw that Jovi and Fausto were okay. "Guys, you're alright!" She cried in relief, and rushed to Jovi's side to help her with Mist, but there wasn't much they could do. Mist had taken a lot of damage and Jovi didn't usually carry restorative items because of how rarely she left the lab. Jovi put Mist back into her pokeball, crying. "It's okay, we'll just have to get her to a heal machine when we're done here." Squint assured and Jovi nodded.

"Thanks." She murmured. Fausto turned to look at his cousin and smiled, then shot her a thumbs-up. Squint jumped up to join him, and found out that Lovrina had been knocked out by her own attack, which made her grin wildly.

"Hey, can you find some rope, or cable, or something that we can use to tie this psychopath up?" He asked, Squint nodded, and ran into one of the machine supply closets and pulled out a roll of thick wire and grabbed a break room chair on her way back.

"This work?" She asked, Fausto nodded and picked Lovrina up(with obvious effort) and then moved her over to the chair and half dropped her in it, then began to tie her to the chair.

OOC: Sorry if I bunnied, but Lovrina's out and it's not like she was gonna get in the chair herself. That and I don't know weather or not her pokemon were out or not. That's up to you, Bigboned.

Krane stood up and pushed his glasses back up his nose where they'd nearly fallen off, and gave a glance down at Crystal before stepping over her carefuly and glaring at Lorivanna before walking over to Venus.
"I suppose you want something if you came all the way here. Since you helped out against Cipher, the least I can do is hear you out."


Nascour/The Hexagon Bros., Cipher's secret lair

"We're sorry, Sir, we've failed..." Red said, looking entirely hopeless
"Yes...yes you did." Nascour responded, but he smiled instead, much to the shock of the Hexagons
"Huh? Sir?" They asked in unison, and Nascour held up a device looking like a USB device, connected to a lanyard, along with a key card.
"You failed to get Krane and XD001, sure, but you managed to get something just as important. All of Krane's research is on this USB, and this is the key card to get into XD001's chamber. With this, I can unlock the last peice of the puzzle Lorivanna didn't have time to unravel; how to block off a Shadow Pokemon's heart completely." Nascour explained, and grinned, showing a pair of sharp, almost vampiric canine teeth.

Gonzap, Snagem's base

Skarmory took the blow, but shook it off, glaring viciously.
"Skarmory, teach him a lesson! Ice beam, now!" Gonzap ordered, and Skarmory unleashed a blast of ice at the Dragonite, its aura changing from black to red in its rage.

Aki turned her head to give the impression of glaring at Krane. "Right now, Venus willl be sitting down." Aki growled before adding in "And you will show respect for my patients, Krane, so do not step over her the next time you need to be on the other side of her. I'm already not happy about any of this, I have had a very bad day, and now I'm being nice and helping these people, but I will not show patience for you right now, Sir. This girl is hurt because she helped you, I have no idea if Fausto and Jovi are okay, and I had to call on Celebi if you haven't noticed. I will not tolerate much more of this and Venus can explain what she's here for while I pacth up this girl and then move on to her." Aki snapped, thoroughly annoyed. He had the nerve to step over the girl that had saved his sorry butt, Aki didn't like that. Even if she didn't like it, they were her patients now, and she wasn't going to have anyone messing with her patients.

Also, for effecient purposes: I know Venus doesn't know that the Suicune's name is Legend, but let's just say now she does. This isn't a great time for an introduction xD

Abruptly, Venus's vision became softer and more blurry. She felt light-headed immediately, especially after seeing the blood, and she seemed to let out a shrill whine. Oh Arceus... blood... Shortly after, she realized the whine was not hers. A graceful Suicune's body brushed up against her, whimpering and staring at her with worried eyes.
"Don't worry... Legend," Venus breathed. "It's okay... I don't like blood... either."

"...Venus, sit down, I have no idea how badly you're hurt... and busting your head open."
The words were already faint. Venus could only clearly hear the people around her in pieces. She did, however, hear Aki's growl about sitting down. She promptly lowered her shaky body and folded her legs under her in a formal sitting position.

The last thing that girl wants me to do, she thought to herself, is pass out. I can't pass out. But... EWWW... I don't think I can handle it... Breathing heavily, Venus attmempted to control herself, to stay strong so that she could be taken care of somehow. Needless to say, it was very difficult, and her head pounded and throbbed like no other injury she'd ever received. She tried to distract herself from the pain by focusing on Legend next to her, and the oddly familiar scientist that stood above her, sighing and talking in a hushed voice. Weird... professor Krane?

[Atropos]

Lovrina's eyes began to twitch as she fought her way to consciousness. Her eyes flitted open, but her brain couldn't make sense of the shapes and colors yet. Lovrina's entire body was numb, but she would feel the pain in a few minutes.

Her eyes began to cooperate with her brain a bit more and she could see the brats. Lovrina let her head roll to her right and she could see Altaria and Delcatty unconscious a few feet away from her. She could only remember bits and peices of the last few minutes. Looking down at herself, Lovrina saw that she was tied up to a chair. The pain began to creep up on her. It started in her extremities and worked its way inward. It was a sharp, peircing pain that caused tears to roll down her face. No one even looked back at her to see if she was all right! The pain began to get unbearable, and Lovrina began to sob, which turned into wails.

Fausto, Jovi, and Squint

Squint rolled her eyes at Lovrina's wails and turned "Would you kindly shut up?" she asked annoyed at her. "You were stupid enough to set off that thunder while you were standing in water, get over it, miss princess." Squint snapped and turned back to her computer and the old lab notes that had been written by Lovrina herself on the developing of XD001 into the 'ultimate' shadow pokemon.

Jovi walked up to Lovrina and looked at her, tilting her head to the side as she did. "You're not very smart, I wanna know if it was really her that came up with the process that made XD001 into what it is today." The little teen chirped brightly, Fausto shook his head at her.

"Jovi, don't stand so close to her. You might catch something nasty." He joked, almost laughing. Jovi shrugged and backed up a few steps just to make it seem like she believed him. Squint giggled in response.

"Fausto, we're not in grade school anymore--don't sink to her level, it might cause brain damage, which you don't need. Anyway, according to these notes of hers, she's apparently somewhat smart when she's not whining, crying, or throwing a tantrum. Yes, it was her that came of with most of the process. By the way Lovrina, your security programs suck, I broke through without Moggle's help." Squint said amusedly, none of the three could have cared about the Admin herself.

Aki

Aki turned her head to Venus, who's breathing was getting heavier. "Celebi, stop. I think this girl's healed enough to be okay until we can help Venus--she sounds bad." Aki murmured, Celebi nodded and the glow from his wish on Crystal wore off and he moved to Venus.

Gently, he touched the back of Venus's hand and glowed as he used wish again. Aki leaned over Crystal and sighed, tapping her hand again to see how much Celebi had done as Kurenai and Night came in together and dropped the first aid kit by her legs. Aki smiled, Celebi had gotten most of the girl healed, all except for a little bit of her gash so that it was now no more than a tiny scratch. "Does anybody know this girl's name? It's making me feel bad not knowing what to call her, and she should be coming around soon." She asked no one in particular, hoping someone could answer her.

[Atropos]

Lovrina shot a scowl at everyone in the room. She made sure that the girl with the glasses got an prolonged glare. As she did, Lovrina noticed the papers and text on the laptop next to her. She had read those words before. She had written those words. "Hey! How'd you get my notes? Those are mine! Mine, mine, mine, mine, MINE!," Lovrina shrieked. Angry tears began to pour down her face. The thought of someone snooping through her hard work was almost unbearable. She strained against the cables binding her to the little chair. "Stop looking through my stuff! You aren't s'posed to see any of that! Those belong to me!"

Lovrina's thoughts wandered to the other thing that was in the lab that belonged to her. It was in this building, and she's stuck tied to a chair with a bunch of hellions. I'm coming, hun. Give me a bit, but mommy will be there...Shadow Lugia.

Jovi, Fausto, and Squint

Squint rolled her eyes again. "It's a bit obvious how I got them--I hacked into Cipher's database and hacked the lock code. Why? Because I'm going to be the one to crack the code that keeps XD001 a shadow pokemon, I'm going to be the one to figure out how to purify it. You might as well know the name of the one who is going to bring down your biggest achievement, Lovrina. My name is Ashley Vand, better known as Squint." She chirped brightly, ingoring Lovrina's enraged tone and crying.

Jovi sighed "Jeez, get over yourself, Lady. There's nothing you can do about what we're doing right now, you're tied to a chair and your pokemon are out cold. Speaking of that, anyone got a spare pokeball? It's obvious that Delcatty of hers is shadow, wonder if I can catch it..." Jovi trailed off. Then she turned to Fausto "I'm gonna go heal Mist and go snag a few pokeballs to try and catch that Delcatty." Jovi announced and turned, running off. Fausto nodded after her.

"Be careful Jovi, I don't know if anyone else is in here." He called after her.

Nascour, Cipher's base


"You five; go make sure that Shadow Jirachi hasn't destroyed the entire wing." Nascour said, looking down at his computer screen; someone was hacking their systems.
"Sir, Yes Sir!" Red saluted, and the five filed out.

Nascour activated the camera attached to the computer, and his scowl filled Squint's computer screen.
"You seem to think I wouldn't be watching my systems for hackers. I would suggest you withdraw your Porygon; as if he moves one more byte of data, he'll encounter a virus that destroyed the HQ Lab's computer last August." Nascour said, tapping the enter key and activating the monster-virus.

"And I hope you know, I don't take kindly to tresspassers." He said, before terminating the link.


Prof. Krane, HQ Lab

"Her name's Crystal, Aki." Krane answered as he passed by, heading for the room where XD001 was being held. He manually entered the passcode on the keypad, and received an Access Denied response.

Squint and Fausto

Moggle shot out of the computer like Darkrai had been after her, her image fizzling slightly from a small part of the virus. Squint smiled and hit a sequence of keys and tapping the enter button with a smile. "No you don't. I helped with the antivirus for that. And my firewalls are stronger than the standard computer's, I hack for part of my living." Squint said to the blank computer screen. After she'd initiated the antivirus, the computer had shut down to let the antivirus take full effect and let her backup files install right. After a few minutes, with a full copy of everything on her computer, including her own copies of all the lab notes in hand, she activated her own computer camera and called Nascour.

"Moggle is a she, thank you very much." She snapped, annoyed, then shifted the camera so that Lovrina was visible.

"As you can see, we don't like intruders either. Besides that, you're dealing with someone a bit more advanced than your average HQ Lab geek." Squint said darkly, and terminated the connection as well. Then she tapped off a sequence of keys, activating her own home-made virus. If Cipher tried to hack into her own computer again, they not only wouldn't get in, but they'd get a nasty virus as well.

Aki

Aki nodded "Ah, thank you, you almost just made up for ticking me off earlier." she told Krane, not noticing he was gone.

Gently, she took Crstal's hand. "Crystal, Crystal can you hear me? Time to wake up, you've got people waiting for you to wake up." Aki murmured, hoping Crystal would come around.

[Atropos]

Lovrina's tears came down even faster as Jovi, the boy had called her, went to find a pokeball. "No! You can't, you won't catch my Delcatty! That's stealing," Lovrina whined. She looked over at Delcatty, still unconscious. "Delcatty! Wake up! Please, darling. Wake up for me." The Shadow Pokemon remained still despite its owner's desperate pleas.

Lovrina turned back to the two people still remaining with her. "How can you be so...cold? Stealing my Pokemon? That's my property, not yours, just like Lugia. And you know what? You'll never purify it, at least not this decade. I've made it so difficult to purify, your great-grandchildren will have to finish the job for you! So, you know what, Ashley? Go ahead and try," Lovrina taunted.

Then, the nerd's Porygon rocketed out of the laptop. Squint blabbered at someone for a bit, and turned the camera toward her. Out of instinct, Lovrina gave a giant smile. "Who is that?" Lovrina demanded. "Wait! That's Nascour, isn't it? Nassy! Help me!"

Squint and Fausto

Squint shut her laptop "You do realize I cut the connection, right? Your help isn't coming, even if it did it wouldn't get past us." she said icily. Then she looked down at Moggle and sighed "Better? You used your own antivirus, right?" she asked softly. Moggle beeped, her image was solid again and looked fine, then she nodded. Squint looked relieved and smiled "That's good. You're not damaged, I don't know what I'd do if you were." she huffed, ignoring Lovrina's ranting about her Delcatty. "And thank you, Lovrina, I will. I can't wait to see your face when it does get purified--by my hand or not. Somebody will figure it out, and your notes are so easy to read, it's all too clear that you weren't expecting the chamber, that must be the key... Hope you'll be around to see it happen.

Fausto didn't though, he looked down on Lovrina with stormy eyes, anger overcoming his shyness. "It's better than what you're doing to the poor thing, keeping it's heart closed like that. The sooner it leaves your care, the better, then we can open it's heart and care for it properly." He said sharply as Jovi came in with Mist at her side and her bag, bulging with round shapes.

Jovi, Fausto, and Squint

Jovi pulled out the first pokeball and sighed "I dont have a snag machine, but here it goes anyway. We have to try for that Delcatty's sake." she murmured. Then she smiled and tossed the pokeball towards the Delcatty.

Crystal
Lab

"Crystal, Crystal can you hear me? Time to wake up, you've got people waiting for you to wake up."

I was surprised how the pain had just faded in a few seconds. The power that healed me had been so strong that I could feel it even in my unconciousness. I was slowly drawing out of it, and Aki's gentle words bringing me completely out of it.

My eyes flickered open, and my vision spun for a moment. My glance immediately went to my arm, but I had been completely healed. I lifted my left arm and groggily rubbed my eyes, then looked back at my arm. I frowned, then shoved the thought aside.

"Gah... thanks," I mumbled, rubbing my eyes again sleepily. Suddenly, the sleepiness disappeared. "Wait, where's Legend?!"

I stumbled to my feet, running to the lab, almost tripping a few times. I didn't care if Aki had thrown a warning to me or answer or not-I wouldn't have heard. I was just worried about Legend and her welfare.

Then I saw her. She was by Venus, right at her side. I smiled, and called out her name.

"Legend!" I cried, dashing to her. The Suicune turned around just as I tackled her, not budging an inch. She just placed her neck and head over my shoulder easily, glad to see me in good condition. I looked at Venus, automatically drawn to her because Legend loved her so much and because she was hurt.

Crystal kneeled in front of Venus, examining her head and flinching as the smell of blood reached her nose.

"Gah, Venus, I'm so sorry. But thank you for protecting Legend," she said-there wasn't much that the girl could do.

Nascour, Cipher's lab

Nascour smirked slightly at her assmuption that he wasn't an expert hacker himself. He'd managed to upload a virus, AND take the information he needed. Soon, the second part of Nascour's deadly virus would take effect, wiping out every file on the girl's computer, and then finally causing it to implode.

"Red, Blue, I have an important mission for you two." Nascour said into the intercom "Come here immediately."

The word 'Immediately' was almost too long a time frame to measure just how quick the two peons dashed in.

"I need you to pay a visit to our friends at ONBS. Specifically, Nett. Bring him here, and bring him unharmed." Nascour ordered, and the two saluted before exiting faster than the eye could see, even leaving behind skid marks on the floor.

Aki looked at Crystal and smiled softly "Venus should be okay in a few minutes, she's in good hands. Isn't she?" she said, Celebi turned his head and smiled back at her.

"Biii! Bi bi bi!" The little green pokemon cried in response, he then looked to Crystal and Legend and immediately got overexcited, his wings twitching wildly and moving anxiously, but trying to concentrate on healing Venus. He was truly glad to see that the Suicune was happy now, and no longer a shadow pokemon.

"How close to completely healed is she?" Aki asked, moving towards Celebi on her hands and knees, preferring to not get up. She tapped Venus's arm closeset tp her and came back with a nasty image. She was badly hurt, it would take a while for these wounds to heal, even with Celebi's help, Aki frowned.

"Try focusing on the major parts of her wounds, please, Celebi." She said, then "Once those are healed, I can take it from there. It's no use using up your energy now, we may have others that might need you." Aki finished. Celebi nodded and began to glow brighter.

Lovrina blew off Squint's remarks, and turned to the boy. "Delcatty is perfectly content with having its heart shut. You people make being a Shadow Pokemon so much worse than it really is. She appreciates me making her what she is! You could never treat her as well as I have!"

The little blue-haired brat came bursting in, whipped out a pokeball, and tossed it at Delcatty. The ball spun in the air, and landed on Delcatty's head. There was a flash of light, and Delcatty was gone. Lovrina's jaw dropped, her eyes bulging out of her head. "N-n-no! What? How?" Already, the tears were welling up in her eyes. Even she was amazed that she had tears left after all of the crying she's been doing.

Lovrina rocked vigorously in the chair, sending it, and her along with it, onto the ground. Her wails and sobs woke Altaria. Seeing this, Lovrina shouted, "Altaria! Get that pokeball! Give it to me, now!" Altaria flapped its wings, but it was still weakened after the Thunder attack. "Give me that pokeball! I don't care what you have to do," Lovrina exclaimed. Her Pokemon took a few steps, and fell, unmoving. Lovrina tried to reach down to her pokeball containing Purugly at her belt, but her fingers wouldn't reach. She strained against the cables, and found that she could touch the middle button on it. Doing so, Purugly burst out of its ball, tails tied around its waist.

"Purugly, use Iron Tail on these cables!" Lovrina instructed. Its forked tail unwound from its waist and began glowing and hardening. Purugly whipped its massive bulk around in a circle, its tail slashing open the cables binding Lovrina. Before she could stand up all the way, Lovrina rushed forward and made a mad lunge towards the pokeball. "Ha! Now I have it! What're you gonna do about it?" Lovrina laughed.

Wildfire
Lab

Wildfire's ears flicked as she heard the battle going on upstairs. She had followed Crystal closely, then took her turn to love on her revived trainer after Legend. Her sensetive ears picked up part of a 'conversation', if you can call Lovrina throwing a fit with Jovi and them a conversation.

"Delcatty is perfectly content with having its heart shut. You people make being a Shadow Pokemon so much worse than it really is. She appreciates me making her what she is! You could never treat her as well as I have!" Lovrina said crossly, and a snarl ripped from Wildfire's throat from downstairs, loud enough to be heard from upstairs as well. The shiny Ninetales eyed the elevator, but then backed out of the building and staring up at the window that had broken from the Thunder attack that had temporarily knocked out the whiny Cipher girl.

"Ha! Now I have it! What're you gonna do about it?" Lovrina laughed, the last sentence said being the only loud enough for her to hear. She growled, then leaped onto a first story windowsill, gaining speed so quickly that she ran up the vertical wall, bursting through the gap in the frame, avoiding the sharp glass that jutted jaggedly from the edges.

She landed beside the Poke Ball, taking it up in her jaws with a swift spasm of her jaws and leaping over Lovrina, who had done a mad dive to attempt to grab the Poke Ball. Wildfire stood in front of Lovrina, at least eight feet away, grinning with the Poke Ball fitting nicely into her mouth-she was sure not to get any saliva on it in the process of holding it. She grasped lightly enough with her teeth as to not puncture and bust the ball, but enough to where it would be hard to pry it from her jaws.

Shion Rasenka stood in front of the Pokemon HQ Lab, staring at the damage. "Looks like there was a hell of a fight here...." she thought. She walked into the building, shards of glass on the floor crunching beneath her feet. "XD001.... Shadow Lugia.... It's here somewhere.... I can sense it...." she thought as she walked down a long hallway.

Shion knew that Prof. Krane had managed to take Shadow Lugia from Cipher some time ago, but was having no success in Purifying it. That was why she was here. She was going to help him Purify Shadow Lugia, and then hopefully it could be released soon after. She knew that if Shadow Lugia wasn't Purified and released soon, Cipher would come back for it, and judging from the damage, it was obvious they were already trying.

Shion gritted her teeth as she clenched a fist. "Damn Cipher.... It's their fault mom and dad are dead...." she thought. She stopped short as her long pointed ears twitched at some faint noises upstairs. She headed up the stairs and down the hallway. She stopped as she came around a corner, seeing some people and a shiny Ninetales with a Poke Ball in its mouth. Her face filled with anger as she recognized a young woman with very long pink hair with a Purugly. "Lovrina! I should have known you'd be here trying to get back Shadow Lugia!" she said, her left hand instinctively grabbing a Poke Ball from the belt around her waist. "C'mon out Lyra!" she said, and tossed the Poke Ball into the air.

In a flash of light, a female Lucario appeared. This Lucario was different, however. Where her fur should have been blue, it was a blood red color, matching Shion's eyes. The Lucario's eyes were a bright green instead of red. Lyra bared her fangs as she saw Lovrina and her Purugly, growling menacingly.

Jovi, Fausto, and Squint

Jovi stood dazed for a moment after Lovrina was freed, then went into action. "You're denying the pokemon the right to feel! And besides, all my pokemon are loved--not to mention that I just caught it! She's not yours anymore!" Jovi cried, bolting forward with Mist at her side. Jovi herself dove at Lovrina herself and Mist jumped at the Purugly. "Rock Smash!" Jovi shouted, and the pokemon turned in the air, it's tail glowing and brought it down hard, aiming for Lovrina's Purugly, hissing. Jovi pulled her arm back to punch Lovrina in the gut.

Fausto moved towards Wildfire slowly "That girl from earlier, you're her Ninetales, right? Can I have that pokeball? Jovi caught the Delcatty, she will be in good hands, Jovi loves her pokemon. Or would you rather give it to her yourself?" he asked, holding out his hand for it. Squint sent out Shenzii in one whipping motion, then Mouse.

"Mouse, ice fang on the Altaria--make sure it stays down! Shenzii, keep that pokeball and Jovi safe at all costs. If you get the chance, shock Lovrina back to her dreams!" She ordered sternly, Mouse dived on top of the Altaria, her fangs freezing over and then bit down hard. Shenzii moved to Wildfire and barked at the Ninetales before moving to Jovi and Lovrina, building up a nasty shock of his own, waiting to see if Jovi's punch connected. If not and once she was clear, he'd try to hit Lovrina.

"Pokemon don't need to feel! You don't even know what you're talking about," Lovrina shouted. "And don't think for a second that Delcatty is yours. You probably can't even handle a Shadow Pokemon!" Then, Jovi lunged at Lovrina, drawing back her fist. Lovrina had never been punched before, so she stood there, too shocked to move anywhere. Her fist connected with Lovrina's gut, knocking the wind out of her completely and sending her onto her rear end.

Lovrina gasped for air, trying to regain a normal airflow into and out of her lungs. She looked over at Purugly, and nearly exploded when she saw it being attacked by a Vaporeon. Sure enough, the attack made Purugly collapse on the floor, unconscious. Turning around, Lovrina could see her Altaria being ambushed by a Shinx. The Ice Fang attack caused the Altaria's head to droop down, inert once again. A crackling sound and yellow light caught Lovrina's attention, and its source was a Luxray, poised to attack.

Looking around helplessly, Lovrina saw that the battle was lost. There was no way that she could possibly get her Delcatty back now. Still sitting on the ground, she brought back her Purugly and Altaria. "So this is it, huh? You really won't let me have her back? Well, good luck trying to keep her from biting your head off," Lovrina pouted. She stood, ignoring the pain in her stomach the best she could, but still wincing. She slumped towards the doorway, and saw a girl with a dreadful-looking Lucario. Giving a small scowl Lovrina mumbled, "What do you want? They took my Pokemon, my others fainted. So what bone could you possibly have to pick with me?"

Shion glared at Lovrina. "I'm not surprised your puny brain doesn't remember.Think back to a village your boss Nascour attacked and destroyed eight years ago. He killed nearly everyone there, including my parents! He captured me and brought me back with him to experiment on so he could use my abilities! I'm half surprised you don't remember me, since I beat you into the ground so badly several years ago when I escaped." she said, a sphere of red energy forming in her hand. "Remember my name Lovrina; Shion Rasenka! Now get out! You won't be taking Shadow Lugia today, or any day! Not if I have anything to do about it!" she said.

Lyra growled at Lovrina again, then looked over at Jovi, Fausto, Squint, and the shiny Ninetales. She then looked at Shion, as if asking her what she was going to do. She didn't trust strangers very much, so she didn't interact with them much unless she had to.

Shion looked over at the others as the red energy vanished from her hand. "Don't worry, I'm not an enemy. I want to help Purify Shadow Lugia. Like I said before, my name's Shion, and this is Lyra, my Lucario." she said.

Lyra nodded her head in greeting.

Char began to roar in frustration as his enemy turned and ran away. Anyone in the area could hear the roar even over their conversations; a few stopped to look around, searching for the source of the noise.

“Char calm down before Sam starts up,” ordered Cou, knowing from experience even as he said it that the only way to stop him at this point would be to put him back in his pokeball. “Char and Sam return.”

Two red lights shot from the two pokeballs Cou held that hit Char and Sam. As they got back into their pokeballs he returned them to his belt and grabbed his jacket. He turned, feeling someone close behind him, readying himself to strike out at them, but caught himself as he saw it was only Ren.

“Hey, Ren don’t do that,” he said seeing her pushing the bike with her, “I was coming back for you.”

“I know you were, but there’s something I need to tell you,” she said, the look in her eyes adding ‘and only you.’ Her face had set in the all too familiar way he recongnized as Ren needing to tell him something very important.

“I’m not from the same village as you Cou, and Wolf knew that,” said Ren slowly, keeping her eyes on his, waiting for his reaction as her words sank in. His expression didn’t change in the way she had expected and instead of shock or surprise she saw something closer to relief burst in his eyes and spread across his face.

“I already knew Ren,” he said, “I could tell from the pictures in your house, so you don’t need to have those sad eyes anymore. I don’t care if Wolf knew about it or not, it doesn’t change anything between us.”

“Cou…” she began before the tears came.

“Ren, let’s stop dilly-dally shilly-shally and get up to the lab to see if anyone needs our help. I’ll push this up there,” he said taking the handlebars from her hands, and smiled at her in a way that calmed the tears and began to wash away the anxiety that her secret had built up within her. With his words repeating in her ears as they walked towards the lab she felt the weight of it lifting off of her, knowing that he meant what he said to her.

As they got to the steps of the lab and broken door at their top they saw five people and a few pokemon. Leaving the bike they walked up the steps with Nearra and Davyn and stopped inside the door.

“So what’s going on here?” Cou said, his voice changing from the tone he had used with Ren minutes earlier, to Lovrina“If I were you I wouldn’t mess with them or me.”

Fausto, Jovi, and Squint

Jovi stood over Lovrina furiously "Don't mess with me or my pokemon. If my brother could help the shadow pokemon, so an I--and anyone's bone here with you is that you're Cipher! What more reason is there?" she replied, dropping her fist as Mist joined her, happy for taking out the Purugly. She was so ticked, the girl totally ignored the newcomers, while Fausto's attention was drawn to Shion's words and away from Wildfire, and Squint's gaze turned to Cou.

"Hello... Did you say Cipher took you? To expirament on you? There's a girl in the lab who can relate, Shion--Cipher caught her defending Celebi and basically tormented her to try to find Celebi again. Her name is Aki, and I'm Fausto, the redhead is Ashley, but call her Squint, and the furious girl with the Vaporeon is Jovi." He paused for a moment and looked to Squint "Where is Aki anyway?" he asked softly, worry entering his tone.

Squint looked ahead towards Cou, but answered her cousin. "She's helping fix up the blonde girl, I'm not familiar with her name, and Venus is with her--but she's supposedly changed. I wouldn't worry about her, you know she can handle quite a bit, and if not her, Kurenai will take care of what she can't. She may be blind, but she can handle herself--why? You wanna go check on her? I think we've got enuogh back up to keep one person under control. But Mouse goes with you." She told him firmly. Then she spoke to Cou calmly.

"Lovrina broke in for XD001, but we've got it under control now. And she won't be messing with anyone anytime soon, we took down all her pokemon and Jovi just punched the crap out of her." Squint said, Mouse bounced off Lovrina's Altaria and moved to Fausto's side, cheeks sparking. Shenzii pressed his nose to Lovrina's back and discharged a bit of electricity, hopefully enough to knock her out again.

Jovi moved to wildfire in a decent mood, then held out her hand for the pokeball in the Ninetale's mouth "Can I have the Delcatty now? I did catch her, and I want to help purify her." the teen told the shiny pokemon. Fausto sighed and walked off to find Aki, going down the elevator with a small wave.

Shion watched as Fausto walked over to an elevator and left. She then looked between Squint, Jovi, and Cou. She felt uneasy being around humans, but she was here to help Shadow Lugia, and she knew if these people were trying to do the same, then she could trust in them somewhat. "Well, I'm not about to let Cipher have Shadow Lugia back. I'll fight to the bitter end to stop them once and for all." she said.

Lyra nodded her head in agreement. She hated Cipher just as much as Shion, and would do anything to stop them as well. She looked between Squint, Jovi and Cou as well. As wary as she was around strangers, she felt she could trust these people since they were tying to help the Delcatty and Shadow Lugia.

"So, has anyone figured out how to Purify Shadow Lugia yet Squint?" Shion asked. "I'd like to help any way that I can." she said.

Lovrina blew off the girl, Shion, and just sulked in the corner of the room. But then, she heard her ask a question that Lovrina couldn't keep her mouth shut about. "So, has anyone figured out how to Purify Shadow Lugia yet Squint?"

Lovrina wheeled around, a bit too fast, her gut stinging in protest. She ignored it, and chirped, "I know how to purify it. And you know what? I'll tell you how, under two conditions," Lovrina paused for a dramatic effect. She continued, "I want to see it. I want to see my creation. I also want the brat to return my Delcatty," jerking her head in the Ninetails and Jovi's direction. She knew Nascour would be beyond fuming if she gave away the secret, but she didn't care about what Nascour thought right now. She could even care less if she got her Delcatty back. Right now, all Lovrina was thinking about was laying her eyes on XD001.

Jovi and Squint

Squint snorted "Yeah, Lovrina...sure...Not!" the teen said, while Jovi glanced at the pokeball with a panicked expression.

"We'll figure it out without your help, thank you. At least then we don't have to worry about you sending it into panic mode and/or stealing it, so I don't think so." Squint said, then looked to Shion "That answer your question? Anyway, Fausto was right, Aki has alot in common with you, Shion. Once this is dealy with, I'd like you to met her, possibly before if she finishes that girl and Venus soon. I will warn you, though, she's blind and rather bitter about it, don't say anything about the bandages over her eyse--only Fausto gets away with jokes about her impairment." Squint told the girl.

Aki and Fausto

Fausto stepped into the hal with Aki and the others, and the brown-haired girl's head turned. "That who I think it is?" she asked softly, Fausto smiled at her.

"Yep, it's just me. You doing alright?" He asked her and Aki jumped up and ran towards the sound of his vioce, slamming into Fausto hard and hugging him.

"You're okay Fausto!" She cried happily, the boy chuckled and hugged Aki a little, smiling even more.

"Yeah. Nice to see you're alright, too" Fausto sighed.

OOC: WARNING! Long post ahead.

Lovrina felt as though she had to give up. It was the last thing she wanted to do, but what other choice was there? Her Delcatty was gone, taken away from her as though it meant nothing to her. Her other two Pokemon were knocked out, totally useless to her. What would she do with no Shadow Pokemon? How can she be called a Cipher Admin without one? She worked so hard for the title, to finally be respected, and now she was sure she would no longer be an admin, because of a few kids. The worst part? They don't even care.

Lovrina slumped out of the room, giving one last glance at the pokeball holding her Delcatty. Sighing, she turned around, and made her way downstairs. Outside, there were more people, including Venus and a funny-looking girl with bandages over her eyes. Wow, how does she see? Lovrina thought. She found her hover bike, unharmed by the battle that took place not too long ago, and started it. Lovrina turned the gas handle, and she zoomed off, trees passing by in a blur of green, and eventually over the sandy desert. The ride back seemed a lot longer than the ride there, and a lot more lonely.

Finally, Lovrina made it back to the base. Delcatty, Lovrina thought. My Shadow...You were so strong. No--you were weak. How could you have been caught? Without a Snag Machine! It's never happened before, and now you are the first one to be caught like-like some normal Pokemon? You mean nothing to me. She was no longer sad for her Delcatty, but livid. As Lovrina stormed into the base, a peon passed her saying, "Hello Miss Lovrina. You look stunning, as always!" Lovrina shoved him into a wall as a thank you. She went into the lab, and cleared her throat loudly to get the scientists attention. Every pair of spectacled eyes were on her, just how she liked it.

An overweight scientist with greasy hair was the first to speak. "L-Lovrina. What would you like? It isn't too often you show your face in the lab anymore."

"You want to know what I would like, you geek? I want to know how my Delcatty was caught without a Snag Machine! Tell me that," Lovrina snapped. The man's glasses fogged up, and his mouth hung open. "That's what I thought. Here, heal my Pokemon." She shoved the two pokeballs into his chest and cleared her throat, speaking loud enough for the entire labratory staff to hear. "I want something else. I want another Shadow Pokemon. But, I want to make it. Sheila," Lovrina indicated a round, dumpy woman in the corner. "Take me down to the holding cells. You do have your card key, don't you?"

"Yes, ma'am," Sheila bowed slightly. "Right this way." Lovrina inclined her head, and followed quickly behind Sheila. Coming up to the elevator door, she swiped her card key through the device mounted upon the wall, and the steel doors slid open. Sheila hit a button leading to the fifth level of the basement, and the elevator hummed as it whisked the two underground.

There was a chime, and the doors opened up, the labratory being replaced by aisles upon aisles of thick plastic and glass cages. Almost every cage contained a Pokemon, sick-looking and gaunt. Lovrina set off down the aisle before Sheila, looking side to side at the mistreated Pokemon as though they were nothing. Stopping at one holding cell, Cell E12, Lovrina smiled. "This is it. Give me this one."

"Yes ma'am, right away," Sheila said quickly, giving a small bow once again. She strode to the holding cell, and placed a pokeball in a metal tower attached to the cell. With the touch of a button and a white flash, the Pokemon was within the ball. Taking the ball out of the machine, Sheila held it out to Lovrina. She snatched it from Sheila's hand eagerly, and caressed it.

"Come on," Lovrina demanded impatiently, walking to a large door at the other end of the holding cell chamber. Sheila nodded, and had was on the verge of jogging just to keep pace with Lovrina. Arriving at the door, Sheila quickly swiped her card key, allowing the door to open for Lovrina. However, the door remained still. "Your key won't work here, you dolt," Lovrina snapped. She pressed a screw on the little device, and it depressed just like a button. A small part of the wall slid up, revealing a sensor with the outline of a hand on it. Lovrina set her hand on it, and a computerized voice echoed through the chamber, "Lovrina, Admin. Identification number two hundred forty-six. Accepted." Lovrina pressed a button on the right side of the door to turn on the lights on the inside of the cavernous room.

The flickering lights revealed a gargantuan holding cell in the center, with a staircase wrapping around it, leading to a control panel. Dust coated most of the machines and monitors, this place had long been abandoned.

"What is this place?" Sheila asked, looking around the giant labratory. She had never seen anyone go in or out of this room for eight years.

Bouncing up a flight of stairs, Lovrina said, "My personal labratory. It feels great to be here! Do you know what happened in this room last time it was used?" Sheila shook her head, truly interested. "This is the labratory XD001 was made in," Lovrina smiled as Sheila gave a small gasp.

"But Lovrina, your new Pokemon isn't nearly the size of XD001! It couldn't handle the treatment," Sheila exclaimed.

The Cipher Admin's grin grew even wider. "XD001 was, and still is, able to be purified. Its size and rarity made it impossible to close its heart completely. This Pokemon is much more common, still powerful, smaller, and it screams Lovrina. The process wasn't enough for Lugia, but it will work on this one." She put the pokeball containing Lovrina's future Shadow within the release port, and pressed a large, dust-covered button. The machine whirred to life, lights that only Lovrina knew the purpose of blinked and flashed. There was another beam of light, and the Pokemon was standing within the oversized holding cell.

Pressing a series of buttons and keys, Lovrina watched as a stream of black light slowly poured down, towards the Pokemon in the middle of the holding cell. It grew extremely timid and let out a weak bark. As soon as the light made contact with it, it seized up, every muscle in its body tensing. The light could be seen enveloping its body, the whites of its eyes and pupils turned red while its irises turned yellow, giving off a dim glow. The Pokemon's fur turned an even deeper violet, the area around its neck turned a silvery-white and obsidian black. Parts of its body that were rounded enlongated and sharpened, almost resembling blades. Unlike XD001, this incarnation's shadow aura was constantly visible.

The transformation was complete. A normal Shadow Pokemon would have taken weeks to completely transform, but Lovrina's machine was the best in the world. Pressing another button, the Pokemon was sucked into its ball. A giant grin on her face, Lovrina took the ball out of the port, and held it delicatly. She ran out of the labratory, the door closing behind her and Sheila, who was struggling to just have a visual on the Cipher Admin. Lovrina zoomed into the elevator, and left Sheila behind to wait for it to come back down. Once into the main lab, Lovrina shot through the aisle, stopping only to take her Pokemon she left with the scientists to heal.

Lovrina ran outside into the scorching desert air, reached to her belt and released her newest creation. The Granbull gave a loud roar, then knelt down onto all fours, its jaw open. "You're beautiful! Perfectly in control, you won't ever go into Reverse Mode," Lovrina looked at it lovingly, her eyes filling with happy tears. "The world's only inpurifiable Pokemon. XD002, you're mine."

"Don't worry about that Squint. I'm not the type to make fun of people because of disablities or anything. I was always picked on as a kid myself, so I know how that is. I'd be glad to meet Aki. Maybe we can be friends. I don't have many friends for various reasons, but I'm always will to give people a chance." Shion said, smiling. "Well, I guess we should go find Fausto and the others. I wonder why Venus quit Cipher.... That's pretty odd.... I wonder if it's some kind of ploy of hers...." she said.

Lyra growled slightly and shrugged her shoulders, as if saying she didn't know.

Squint looked after Lovrina for a long moment, then turned to Shion "She doesn't either, Aki's a bit...antisocial, you could say. not to mention that she could care less about what people think of her. Anyway, I think we're safe to leave, pretty sure Cipher's done for today. Jovi, I'll let Aki know you're okay, you hold down the fort up here." Squint said, then gestured towards the elevator "Follow me." she told Shion, Shenzii moved next to Jovi and plopped down in a glass-free space.

Nascour, Cipher's secret lair.


Nascour silently entered Lorivanna's lab through a door he'd had installed to be invisible unless it was opened. The pink-haired woman had her back to him, and was ranting about something.
"While you're making Shadow Pokemon, Lorivanna, I have a special request for you." He said, and pulled out a black Poke ball. "Contained within this Poke ball is Rayquaza. Make this into your legendary 'unpurifiable' creation, instead of your failure with XD001. Do not fail me with this one." He growled at her, and slipped out through the secret door, leaving the Poke Ball on Lorivanna's desk.

Shion nodded to Squint and returned Lyra to her Poke Ball, placing it back onto the belt around her waist. She followed Squint over to the elevator, and it headed down to the ground floor. "My race in general is fairly antisocial when it comes to you humans. We don't intereact with you unless we fell we can trust you. Too many things have happened in our past for us to fully trust you all. I still find it hard, but I trust humans more than others of my race. I know there are good humans just as there are bad. We Medari are the same. There good ones and there are bad ones." she said. The elevator reached the ground floor, and she stepped out of the elevator, following after Squint.

Squint, Aki, and Fausto

Squint shrugged "I don't really care what you are as long as you're a good person. That's all some of us need around here, well, most of us, actually. Aki just doesn't like people in general, not until she gets to know them anyway." she said simply. She could see her cousin's back down the hall, with blue-sleeved arms locked around his neck--Aki.

"Yo lovebirds! You got company!" Squint shouted with a smile, Fausto whipped around with Aki still hanging from his neck. Aki turned her head and let go of Fausto to turn towards Squint. She tapped the floor to get a view of the newcomers.

"Hi Squint, who's your friend?" Aki asked suspiciously, not recognizing the image in her mind. The girl didn't seem threatening, but she was...different.

"She's a friend. She was like you. Cipher took her like they did you." Squint said softly. Aki nodded and turned to Celebi who was working with Venus.

"Celebi, is she almost healed?" Aki asked him, the pokemon shook his head vigorously.

"Bi! Bi bii!" It chirped, Aki nodded again slowly.

"Please keep working then." She murmured.

Krane had the group meet in his underground basement, which had an enterance that was hidden from sight for the most part. |
"Uh-hem", Krane sounded as he cleared his throat, "Thank you for coming to this secret meeting. It is very important that we have as much help as possible. It seems Cipher is at it again, cuasing trouble all over Orre. It seems they have obtianed a Snag machine, which makes this a dire situation. I had never thought the technology would fall into the wrong hands, but sadly, it has. What is worse, if Cipher finds means to duplicate the Snag Machine on a mass scale, Orre as well as the pokemon in the region, nay, the world are doomed. If Cipher could capture Pokemon right from thier trainers, there would be no way to stop them from turning our beloved Pokemon into souless Shadow Pokemon. Now, our mission is to take down Cipher by capturing Nascour. Once he is taken down, the Cipher will collapse. Now, two more things. First, make sure that you do not let Cipher capture you're Pokemon. If you lose them, we can't get them back. Second, take these."

Krane handed each person a set of seemingly normal sunglasses.

"These are special glasses that will help you see Shadow Pokemon. As soon as I develop Snag Machines for all of you, you are to capture each and everyone possible and bring them to me for purification. Lastly, I brought everyone doughnuts. Here, take some before you go."

Each persone walked out of the room, grabbing a doughnut as they went. Krane, walking last out of the room, went to do some calculations on the purification of Shadow Lugia.

Cou and Ren were shocked to learn that there had been a shadow pokemon in the lab this whole time. How could they have not known this? Why was it kept from them? They had allowed this confusion to overcome them so completely that neither was aware of the four people who had left, leaving only Joiy and her Pokemon with them.

“Since we can’t go anywhere with Wolf out there looking for us,” Cou said, “we might as well try to find that girl. Where do you think she is?”

“Maybe back there with her car and her water eevee,” replied Ren, looking out door, “I hope he doesn’t find us here. What do you think he’ll do if he takes them from you?”

“I don’t know. He might use them as payment for those two pokemon we saw him with earlier today,” replied Cou, thinking about ever battle he and Wolf have had. Cou had won each and every one of them. “You told him he couldn’t take them from me by any means?”

“I did. It’s one of the ten rules, Cou,” said Ren, turning away from the door to look at him.

“We should tell the Major about Wolf,” said Cou, looking around the room quickly, “Hey, Jovi, do you know where the phone is?”

Shion smiled somewhat at Aki. "Hello Aki. It's nice to meet you. Like Squint said, I was captured by Cipher as well. I know how horrid they are, and I want to stop them just as much as you guys do." she said. She then turned to Venus, a wary look on her face. "Venus.... I heard she quit Cipher, but I really don't know what to make of it.... Do you guys really think we can trust her?" she said.

Shion then looked over at an other girl with a Suicune. "I wonder who she is.... And what she's doing here.... Any why a Suicune's with her.... She can't be an enemy if a Legendary Pokemon's with her.... Could she be here to help the Shadow Lugia?" she thought.
