Trial Run: GROUP RP
All right, so here we go! The Group RP is going to be Stickied while the Individual RPs will not. We already have a ton of Stickies already, and anyways, this is how the two RPs will be conducted after the choice of which to use is made (meaning that if we go with a Group RP it’ll be Stickied and Individual RPs will not be Stickied).
Since we currently don’t have an agreed-upon plot for the overall Park, for now we’ll just use the basic “Trainer comes to obtain for a strong Pokemon” plot for all the trial run RPs. The Rangers will post accepting your application and leading you to whatever area you’ve chosen, and then you guys will alternate posts.
Now, the National Park RP is different from a normal RP, in there are certain things Trainers can’t do. Here’s a list so you know basically what you can do and what you can’t.
TRAINERS CAN:
-Choose the Natures of the Pokemon they currently own
-Control their own Pokemon
-Spot (but not initiate battle with) Wild Pokemon
-Control things that occur around them (to an extent)
-Move the RP along by making things happen (to an extent)
-Freely use a Pokemon’s moves outside of battle to affect the surroundings (to an extent)
-Decide what gender the Pokemon is after catching it
TRAINERS CAN’T:
-Control the actions of any Wild Pokemon
-Say whether the attack of their Pokemon hits the target in battle
-Say whether a major event is initiated
-Choose the Nature of Wild Pokemon
Now, some quick explanations. First, you can choose the Natures of all the Pokemon you currently own, but not for the Wild ones you encounter; the Ranger will randomly roll a die to determine the Natures of all Wild Pokemon encountered. Once you’ve given a Pokemon a Nature, it will have that Nature forever, so make sure you choose wisely. You can control the actions of your Pokemon, but keep in mind the Ranger has this power as well. A Trainer can say they see Wild Pokemon and point them out, but they can’t try to start a battle with the Pokemon. A Trainer can control the RP and occurrences to an extent; you could say you see smoke in the distance and want to go check it out, but the Ranger is the one who decides whether or not you actually go to do so. You can say you fall into a concealed pit and then try to get out, but the Ranger will determine if you can get out on your own or if you need assistance. Even though the Ranger controls a good portion of the RP (just like in Dungeons and Dragons), the Trainer is free to have small events happen to shake up the RP and keep it interesting. Finally, a Trainer can have their Pokemon use any learned moves outside of battle to affect the surroundings, but again, only to an extent. You can use Ember to start a campfire, but you can’t decide to burn down the forest by having a Pokemon use fifty Fire Blasts. Also, I'm going to see how it works letting people choose the genders of the Pokemon they catch. That should be pretty self-explanatory lol.
A few things about the “Trainers Can’t” info: A Trainer cannot control any actions of any Wild Pokemon (the Ranger solely controls all Wild Pokemon). A Trainer also cannot say whether any of their attacks hit the foe while in battle. The Ranger decides the final outcome of all moves used. Trainer can’t initiate major events, such as setting a fire in the plains or breaking a limb. If the Ranger feels major events like this should take place (considering the various conditions of the situation), then they may initiate major events. Finally, as already explained, Trainers can’t choose the Nature of Wild Pokemon.
A quick note: all Rangers should use a simple name, be it a nickname or a shortening of their username or whatever, that they will go by while taking people through the Park. Wouldn’t it be weird for a Trainer to be led by someone named Tyranitar_Trainer? :P Of course you don’t have to do this, but it just seems to make more sense to me this way.
One final note: Just because this says "Group RP" doesn't mean everyone starts in a group. The areas are very large and many people can go to one without running into someone else. Group RP means this is an RP where people can meet and interact with each other. Everyone should start off in a different location, and if any pairs end up running into one another, great! In the Individual RPs, there is no chance for a pair to run into any other pairs. They're private RPs; the Group RP is a public one. If anyone's confused just hit me up and I'll try to explain it a little clearer.
Now that that is all out of the way, I’ll go ahead and get this started ^^.
///
Ranger Jess stretches as she comes in the Registration Office through the back entrance. She’d been taking care of a small issue on Mount Deckbi involving a very curious Charmander. As she comes in, she sees that someone is waiting at the counter to enter the Park. She goes over to (I’m taking Robert for the Group RP, remember) and smiles at him, bowing her head in a polite greeting as she folds her hands in front of herself.
“Hello there! Welcome to the National Park! My name is Jess. If you’re waiting for a Ranger to take you through the Park, I think I can be of service.” She scans the sign-in sheet, which is sitting on a clipboard resting on the counter. She grins a little more as she looks up. “Well, it looks like you’re the first Trainer of the day! You know what they say, the early bird gets the Wurmple. Now, you’ve put down that you want to go to Meteor Valley…It’s very pretty there this time of year. A lot of Pokemon seem drawn to the huge variety of flowers that pop up during the season. Hey, if we’re super-lucky we might spot a Legend! Even they’re drawn to the sights and scents of the Valley around this time of year!”
Grinning hugely now, Ranger Jess motions for Robert to come around the counter and follow her out of the door she just recently came in through. They walk down a short corridor before exiting the Registration Office. They continue on, heading towards a small parking lot were several small golf cart-like vehicles are parked. Each little cart is painted cream with a National Park decal on either side. The Park’s logo is a PokeBall with a white letter “N” on the top and a red block letter “P” on the bottom. The logo is emblazed on Ranger Jess’ outfit, which consists of a cream-colored silk blouse and dark blue slacks. The young woman slips into the driver’s seat of the vehicle and motions for Robert to get in beside her as she shoves short red hair out of her blue eyes.
After her Trainer gets in, Ranger Jess drives them to Meteor Valley. They see several varieties of Pokemon along the way, but all of them are too busy to bother with checking out the pair of humans. When they arrive at the valley, Jess parks the cart and gets out. Laid out below them lies a deep, wide trench that stretches for many miles. Trees line the sides of the valley, which is full of knee-high emerald grass. Even from this height and distance, a dazzling array of flowers can be seen. In the far distance, the faint gleam of sunlight reflecting off a pool near the valley’s opposite end can be seen. There are many boulders and piles of rock scattered around the valley; all the stone is a pale gray color and sparkles in direct sunlight. Burrows and small, shallow caves are carved into the steep sides of the valley walls. It’s obvious there are many hiding places for all sorts of Pokemon here.
“Here we are, Meteor Valley! Now, let’s go meet some Pokemon!”

Keep in mind that Rangers only take Trainers AFTER the Trainer has completed the application. The only reason I'm not waiting for Robert to get his posted is because I want to get this thing started. In the future, Rangers can't take a Trainer into the Park until that Trainer has submitted the application.

Ranger Eli was sitting in front of a computer behind the counter. The light of the computer reflected on his glasses. He seemed to be typing a log about a sick Budew found during his last expedition to the Botanic Gardens. He heard someone at the counter and said, "One moment please!" He began typing faster, jabbed the "Enter" button, turned around, and sprung out of the chair grabbing his blue jacket with the park symbol on it. He put on the jacket over his white T-shirt as he walked the front of the counter where he found Redino waiting.
"Hallo and velcome to the National Park!" he said with a grin. He looked down and noticed Redino's application. "Oh! You are looking for a Ranger. That's me, Ranger Eli, at your service." A Delcatty jumped up from behind the counter. "Oh, and this is Nancy. She always travels with me." Eli read the application, nodding a bit as he read. "Well, everything seems in order. Please come this way and I'll take you to Meteor Valley."
Eli guided Redino to the parking lot and directly to the golf cart. Nancy the Delcatty quickly jumped into the gold cart before anyone else could. As they sat in it, Eli grabbed a small handbook from his blue jeans' pocket, turned a few pages, and stared at one of them while playing with his messy hear using his right hand. He smiled and said, "There it is, Meteor Valley." He put the book away, turned on the cart, and drove away.
Nancy would just go "Nyah!" and smile and every Pokémon along the way. Eventually the made it Meteor Valley. As they got there, Ranger Eli got off and stared at the scenery with a glow on his dark brown eyes. The perfect blend of rock surrounded by flora and touched by the morning sunrays was just a sight to behold. There were some stairs nearby that headed to the bottom of the valley.
Nancy ran to Eli's side. At that moment, Eli looked back at Redino and said, "Welcome to Meteor Valley." Nancy looked back as well and said, "Nyah!" with a smile, trying to welcome Redino to the valley as well.

(Trying RPing for the first time, sooooo please dont eat me if i do something wrong.)
Redino opened his grey tinted eyes after a relaxing nap in the cart. He rolled his shoulders and ran a gloved hand through his shoulder length brown hair, while with the other he stroked his goatee. The small cart stopped and Eli announced the arrival at Meteor Valley. Eli's Delcatty, Nancy, was looking over the pasenger side seat of the cart at Redino.
When he finally looked out from the golf cart that he shared with Eli and Nancy he noticed just how amazing Meteor Valley was. A group of Unowns silently flew past the cart out of the immense valley below, and the faint sounds of other Pokemon could be heard from farther in the Valley.
As Redino stepped out of the cart with Eli he threw one of his Pokeballs into the air and readjusted his long black coat.
"Come on out Absol," he said, "take a look at this."
The snow white cat-like Pokemon landed on the ground in front of Redino and surveyed the land around it, appearing somewhat impressed.
Redino tapped Eli on the shoulder with one gloved hand and pointed down into the misty valley below.
"So, we're going down there?" he asked as he stroked the back of his Absol with his free hand. He imagined the amazing pokemon that waited at the bottom of the valley as began walking down a nearby flight of stairs.

Ranger Eli took a good look at Redino's Absol and said, "Wow, your Absol looks very healthy and strong." At that moment, he felt the tap on his shoulders. "Oh, yes, there are plenty of Pokémon at the bottom of the valley."
Ranger Eli, followed by his Delcatty, walked down the stares along with Redino. A cold morning breeze began to blow as the neared the bottom of the stairs. The Unown had hidden themselves inside the caves as they noticed humans entering the valley.
"The grass is a bit tall here, so we better be careful," said Ranger Eli with Nancy nodding next to him.
As Redino finally reached the bottom of the stairs, a Pokémon who had chosen the worse spot to hide and rest came out flying out of the grass. Long beak, scratchy voice, black feathers; it was a Murkrow, a very upset Murkrow to be exact.
"A Murkrow? You are really lucky. Those aren't very common," said Ranger Eli.
Murkrow glared at the group with an almost evil expression as it gave out a spine chilling caw. Nancy got scared and jumped behind Eli.

OoC: I believe I'm too fired up for this stuff lol. anyway, I'm ready to start. Also, poke, I made your char say a couple of lines, if you'd rather change them tell me... but it wasn't anything major, really :D
***
Ranger Hyacinth looked around, his short hair ruffled and the uniform slightly wrinkled due to an abrupt wake-up call, sighing heavily as the realization sank in. "Sigh... They've left me back again... I mean, what's just so urgent for them to never ever wait for me? I may be a little lazy, true, but I'm still part of the group, am I not?" he said as he absentmindedly walked towards the entrance of Outpost #1, clearly not seeing the man coming from the other side, and bumping directly into him. "Sorry," the Ranger apologized. "You must be wanting to visit the Park as well, right? Last group set off already, but we're not too far behind. Have you filled the registration form already?" The Trainer handed him a paper sheet with his personal infos along with other stuff, Terms of Service and 'I Hereby Lift The Park Of Any Law-Pursuitable Mumbo Jumbo That Might Happen During My Stay' - they were forced to add that, after an accident involving a curious Aipom, sockpuppets and two not-so-innocent trainers, happened during the Park's last opening. "Good," the Ranger said after scanning the sheet. "I see you're taking three Pokemon with you. Good choice. Very balanced." He then noticed a blank that hadn't been filled. "You didn't specify which area you want to visit. Are you sure?"
"I really don't know much about the Park, so I wouldn't have any clue as to where I could find Psychic Pokemon."
"Psychic Pokemon, huh?" the Ranger mumbled. "Most of them inhabit the Meteor Valley. I was heading right there, my superior forgot to sign some paperwork before setting off with the last trainer, so how about tagging along?"
"I'd love to," the trainer replied.
Hya smiled. "That's good. Follow me."
The two of them leave the building and start walking to somewhere unknown to the Trainer. He started analyzing his partner's outfit, a simple blue cotton jacked with a giant symbol- a red-and-white Pokeball with a "N" engraved in the top part, and a "P" engraved in the bottom part- and a pair of comfortable, similiarly blue slacks, then proceeded scrutinizing his face, which proved much harder as the Ranger was leading the way. However, he did notice that the official seemed to be looking for something.
"Is Meteor Valley very far?" the trainer asked.
"Quite, but don't worry, we're not going to walk all the way there. I'm only looking for... here, this spot's perfect," he said as he stopped.
The area was clean of any kind of intruder, and quite large too. The young man started wondering what purpose this stop had, when the Ranger spoke. "I'm going to have my Pokemon Teleport us to Meteor Valley- it's going to be much quicker this way. But first, let me tell you something about Meteor Valley, ok?
Meteor Valley is the centre of the Park Island, and probably its origin as well. According to our sources, this island was created millions years ago by a falling meteor- roughly estimated to be the size of Texas. At first, it was hardly a liveable place, but then again, so was most of Earth back then.
Over the course of millennia, radiations subsided, allowing a huge variety of flora setting in- in fact, there's a Botanic Garden on the other end of the island, which divides a volcano and a frozen mountein, for example. Now those radiations are found only in Meteor Valley, but don't worry, they're not harmful. Actually, it's the other way around- witnesses claim that the place has thaumaturgic powers, and supposedly, near the border with Mount Deckbi, it's said that there is an hot spring that could very well heal many illnesses. But you know how eye witnesses are, you can't never fully trust them.
It seems that Meteor Valley is a magnetic field of sorts, because most of the meteors and cosmic pebbles seem to be drawn to that place. We keep very strict surveillance on those activities, to avoid harm, but it's interesting, isn't it? Sometimes arrive even rather big ones. They're void of any form of alien life though, we checked.
Anyway, the radiations there make the various plants grow very healthy, though the soil isn't suited for giant trees or other kinds of mammoth plants. It's still very pretty, though.
There are a lot of caves in this place, feel free to explore any if you wish. I'll stick with you until you've had enough- after all, it's my job to keep an eye on Trainers to have them safe and out of illegal or fishy business. Any question?"
The Trainer shook his head. "Good. My name's Hyacinth, Hya for short. I saw your name is Johnny. Nice to meet you." He held out a hand and they shook them.
Suddenly, three figures flashed around the two humans, which startled Johnny. Hya, however, didn't bulge. "Took your sweet time, guys..." he commented as the three figures started becoming less light-like and more substantial-like.
One was a very feminine human-looking Pokemon. It was tall, and wore a pale white dress, with a red horn growing out of its chest. Its arms were a healthy shade of green, as was the cascade of hair on its head. Its red eyes shined brightly, a little annoyed at the remark of its trainer.
The second appearence had way too many eyes, in contrast. It looked like a giant vase, or a sculpture, with a big round body and a large and thick disc for head, counting up to fourteen eyes always peeled open. Hovering around the body, its two clay arms, linked to the rest of the clay figure by an arcane force.
The third one stood out the most, in comparison with the other two. It was a tiny green bird, with a sharp beak the color of harvested corn, and crimson stubby wings that were almost an hindrance when attemtping to fly. A lone red feather stood on top of its head, bobbing down as it looked sideways to its trainer.
"Gather round guys, I need you to Teleport us to Meteor Valley, near the Outpost please. Understood?" The three Pokemon nodded. "Good. Johnny, follow me, and hold on tight on Caou's arm. You know, the Claydol," he clarified. As the Trainer obliged, he gave him another advice. "You'd better close your eyes, if you're not used to this method of travelling."
The reality warped around the group, and for one brief moment Reality Shows actually had a raison d'etre- luckily, it didn't last. A blink of an eye, and you'd miss them disappearing, only to reappear much, much away from that place.
Unfortunatly, it wasn't a safe landing. Due to some external disturbance, both Hya and Johnny didn't arrive the way they had started- nothing too major though, they just landed on their rear ends, much to their displeasure.
"Sorry," the Ranger apologized. "Guess I still have to tune them better... Teleporting in this area isn't too easy, because the meteors create psychic interferences. That's what Psychic types like of this place, though. I'm not too sure of the specifics. They just seem to enjoy what they can pick up here. Same goes for Ghost and Dark types."
The man then looks around, scanning the area for familiar signs. The area was very lively, with a couple of birds chirping merrily out of sight, hidden in the scarce trees around. Many different kinds of short-sized plants grew, and flowers bloomed in a wide array of colours, which made an odd contrast with the dark ground of the places not covered by grass. A little farther, spreading like wildfire, only not as harmful to the surrounding, waist-sized grass grew mockingly, defying the laws of physics with their very tall existence. Behind them, a rather steep hill stood, cavernous opening on its sides.
Hya couldn't very well recognize the place, but the hill gave him an idea. "I'm going to climb up the hill to have a better view of our surroundings. It'd be safer if you followed me, but I'm not forcing you if you don't want to."

A smile crept onto Redino's face as he saw the challenging Murkrow. Absol took a ready position by himself and was ready to charge. Redino looked at Absol and said confidently, "we dont need to boost up your stats for this one. Lets just do some of those interesting combos we learned."
Absol nodded its head in agreement and Leered in the direction of the Murkrow. Redino took out a second Pokeball, but then put it back, displaying his full trust in the capabilities of his Absol. "Ok, no more wasting time! lets beat this thing up a little!"
Absol began the fifty meter run towards the Murkrow, and Redino began to call out moves to string together: "Absol, start with off with a Night Slash now, then when you get closer, throw up some dirt from the ground and hit that sucker with an Quick Attack!"
Redino watched as the moves were launched off. First, Absol waved its head to release a solid formation of black Dark energy from the single horn on its head toward the Murkrow. Before that even hit the target, Absol turned its head sideways and used that same horn to scrape some light dirt off the ground and fling it towards the Murkrow.
Confidence shooting upwards, Absol leapt into the air, somersaulted, and aimed straight for the Murkrow. Redino turned to Eli, "what do you think of that one?" he asked, smiling, before he turned back to see the results of Absol's attack.
EDIT: I killed the mon with my earlier attack, that had to change

Seeing the Absol coming, Murkrow charged forward with a determined look on its face. As Absol attempted a Night Slash, Murkrow jabbed his jaw with its right wing pushing back Absol, but not far enough to avoid Absol's claw completely. Absol managed to scratch Murkrow with that Night Slash. As Absol attempted to throw dirt in Murkrow's direction, his claw got stuck on the tall grass and only managed to cut it a bit. That part of the plan failed which was a bit frustrating for Absol, but he had yet another command to follow, Quick Attack. He had a hard time performing it with all the tall grass around, but he managed to jump towards Murkrow, sadly, right into Murkrow's Peck attack. The sharp beak pushed Absol back into the grassy floor. You could see in Absol's expression that that last attack was painful.
Nancy was witnessing the battle from behind Ranger Eli. Eli noticed Absol had taken some damage while Redino turned to him to ask that question. Eli opened his eyes widely and signaled Redino to look at Absol while saying, "Pay attention to the battle. It's not over yet."
At that moment, Murkrow became surrounded by a shadowy aura as it dived down towards Absol as fast as it could.

"Absol, stand strong!" Redino commanded, putting a serious look on his face. "this sucker is a lot stronger than i thought. You need to make sure he gets stuck in the ground. When he gets close, dodge and hit him with a Slash in the rear. Drill him into the ground!"
Absol looked up, shook away the pain from the previous attack, and prepared to leap. Enjoying the thrill of the fight.
"After that, hit him hard with a thunderbolt." Redino added, trying to devise a plan as fast as he could.
Absol's eyes crackled with electricity, and storm clouds gathered as the electricity grew in his body.
"Now just wait for the perfect opportunity Absol," Redino said, half to himself, "you can do it."
Redino spoke to Eli over his shoulder. "This is gonna be a fun one. it looks like I might need a potion at the end of this, you dont happen to have any spares, do ya?"

Murkrow was ready to strike Absol, but at that moment, Absol jumped out of the way. Murkrow made a sharp turn in pursuit of its target, but it flew right into Absol's Slash attack. The sharp claws hit Murkrow head on making Murkrow caw in pain and fall to the ground. Absol, in obedience to the trainer's command, began to gather electricity, but just when he was about to strike with Thunderbolt, Murkrow jumped from the floor and once more jabbed at Absol's jaw. It didn't seem to be as strong as the last time, but at that moment Absol released his Thunderbolt and hit Murkrow head on. Murkrow collapsed at the intant the attack was over and fainted.
Nancy came out from behind Ranger Eli as it seemed to be safe now. Eli seemed a little disappointed to see the Murkrow being knocked out, but he answered Redino's question, "I do sell Healing Potions at $1,000. One of those should heal your Absol to full health. Either way, shall we keep walking? There's lots more to see."

As Johnny walked into the Ranger Outpost, his mind began to wander, thinking of all the Pokemon he could capture. However, one specific type of Pokemon was on his mind. He was looking for a Psychic type Pokemon to add to his team. Although he had a powerful Alakazam already, he wanted another Psychic type so that he could give it to his little brother back home. His little brother was by far Alakazam’s biggest fan. He always begged Johnny to bring him a psychic type, but for some reason Johnny could never find one. So, he had decided to come to the National Park to find one. He looked down to his arm, seeing that a small leaf had landed on it. He quickly swatted it off, but in doing so, he had become distracted. This resulted in Johnny bumping into someone. Johnny quickly said sorry.
The Ranger recognized him as a visitor to the park and asked for his forms. Johnny quickly pulled out the crumpled papers that he had put in his pocket. He had filled them out when he arrived on the island, but did not know what do with them. The Ranger pointed out that he had failed to fill in the section that asked what area you would like to visit. Johnny hadn’t filled this out partly because he was unfamiliar with the park. He told the Ranger this and he told Johnny that Meteor Valley was their best bet to find a Psychic Pokemon. The Ranger motioned for Johnny to follow him and they began to walk away from the outpost. After walking for a bit, the Ranger stopped and released three Pokemon, telling Johnny that they were going to Teleport to the Valley. Johnny simply nodded since he was used to teleporting with Houdini. A few seconds later, they both fell on their bottoms. Johnny stood up dusting his pants off. He ran his hair through his thick black hair, thinking of what this place would be like and what kind of Pokemon he would encounter. He looked around and was impressed by the sight. They seemed to be surrounded by knee-high grass and beautiful flowers that ran the gammit from a soft and peaceful pink to a sharp and strong red rose. He took a few moments to take in the sight, wondering if the whole world would look like this if it was left undisturbed. Hya then told him that he was going up the hill.
“You know, Hya, I would stay here, but you are the one who knows your way around, so I’ll probably be better off following you,” Johnny told the Ranger as he walked towards her.

"Its a shame that sucker had to go on and faint," said Redino, obviously disapointed. "I had no choice though," he said to Eli, and then to Absol, "that was a great fight, I knew you would do well."
In responce to Eli's question, he said "We should definately keep walking, I am amped up to see some more wild Pokemon, but I would like to just buy one of those potions from you and heal up Absol before we go on, it'll only take a sec."

Nancy grabbed a bottle that Ranger Eli was carrying and ran towards Redino with it. It was the Healing Potion he asked for. She sat there in front of him waiting for him to accept the bottle, and waiting for the payment.
"So, where would you like to go next? There's a pond and a flower field at the end of trail if you want to go there, but in the mean time you could explore the caves or the rocks. You name it, I'll take ya there," said Ranger Eli hoping something would call Redino's attention.

Hyacinth nodded, and gestured for the Trainer to follow. They both started climbing the hill, it wasn't too hard a task, but they still needed to watch their steps, as it was steep enough that a misaimed step would send any of then down rolling.
Which made Hyacinth's Pokemon very useful, as they held the two humans in a gentle mind grasp whenever they were in the slightest danger.
It wasn't too much later that they reached the top, and even if the hill wasn't extremely high, lots of landscape were unravelled in front of their eyes. Rivers, ponds, small forest and an overrall green mass was what could be seen from up there.
But that wasn't what the Ranger was looking for. He focused his sight for as far as he could see, the faint shapes of the Western border could be seen, and to his left, Mt. Deckbi stood tall and smoking. "Looks like we're near the South-Western border now," he told Johnny. "The Outpost is in that direction, towards the center of the valley. We're going there, as I hope I can meet Ranger Jess there so she can sign those papers I told you about earlier. There'll be plenty of chances to meet Pokemon, so don't worry."
That said, the two humans started descending, with Hyacinth's Natu following closely, hopping all the way behind them. A little strangely, though, it seemed oddly attracted to one of the caves there. It started making its way there, when Hya called it. "Where are you going, Lem?"
The psychic bird turned to its master, and right in that moment, a bloody crimson rosary appeared behind it, the spheres reflecthing the sunlight eeirily. Inside the choker, a ghastly being turned into vision, its lower body a grayish torn tatter hollowy floating. The head had a flowing mane of hair, with tips coloured an odd magenta shade depending on the way the sun hit them.
The Pokemon scared the little Natu, that fluttered its wings and flew to its trainer. Hya snickered. "It's pretty easy to scare you, huh? It's just a Misdreavus."
After having played its mischievous trick, the ghost Pokemon didn't seem too happy of its effect. Perhaps it just wanted to greet the other Pokemon the way it's custom for ghost Pokemon, who knows? Anyway, it stood still, floating mid-air with a smile on its face.
"It looks rather friendly, doesn't it?"

Redino sprayed the potion on the Absol and watched as the scratches on his body closed up. He patted Absol on the head and handed one thouseand dollars to Eli, thanking him for the potion.
Absol became alert and tensed up as he heard a sound from the cave farthest from the group.
Redino looked at Eli and pointed toward the sound. "That sounds like a hell of a lot of fun." he said smiling. He turned and started jogging towards the sound a little with Absol right behind, and they waited for Eli and Nancy to catch up.

I walked slowly out of the cart and into the valley before me. SIghing, my long black hair spiraled backwards from me, as Butterfree clung to my shoulder, I strained my neck, several cracking sounds coming to it, and turned to the ginger ranger beside me. "So, is there any particular reason you're so joyful and buoyant all the time, or are you just high on meth like most of the half crazed running around this park, shirtless with bug catching net in tow? Don't expect me to do any of that crap. I'm here to capture monsters, that's it. Other than that, it's a pleasure to meet you. My name I Robert, although you probably already know that. Your's is...?"
I ignored my prior questions as I walked into the valley, eyeing several caves and puddles of water. There wasn't really any Pokemon around, so I decided to just keep walking, ripping down branches and vines that had the misfortune to stray in my path. There were so many of these enviornmentalist wackos here, I knew that this girl had to be one. Just to piss her off I 'accidentally' sent a small branch flying at her left leg, chuckling a bit.
After this chuckle, I gasped. A few feet away was a small, innocent Ralts. Cute, yet looked like it could be deadly. "Butterfree, make friends," I said, letting Butterfree fly off of my shoulder and put on a little show for the Ralts. It used Silver Wind to make impress the little bugger, calmly weaving in and out of its own powdery offtake. I couldn't help but smile. Maybe this wasn't a complete waste of time after all.

Ranger Eli accepted the money and happily followed Redino towards the cave. He really enjoyed having these expeditions. Nancy followed closely as she was curious as to what was making the sound that was coming from the cave.
At the entrance of the cave, they found an Unown "J" resting on top of a rock. It was staring into distance where the sun had come out of. It seemed to be enjoying itself just laying there.
Still, it wasn't that Unown what was making the sounds. Whatever it was must be coming from deeper inside the cave.

"An Unown?" Redino asked, looking at the J shaped Pokemon hovering in the air.
He sighed. "OK Absol, lets try to keep this one alive so I can capture it."
Absol looked disapointed.
There were many rocks around the cave entrance that jutted out at many different angles. Redino's eyes sparkled as a battle plan came to mind. "OK Absol, heres how this is gonna work. Run up to the rocks and leap from one to another, try to confuse the little guy. Then, when the time is right, leap right at him and give him a Bite."
"Its Hidden Power will most likely be hard to avoid, so set yourself up nice now, ya hear?"
Absol nodded its head in agreement and understanding, gave a low pitched "'SOL!" and sprinted toward the nearest rock, determined to try to leave this one alive.

OOC: You seem to have misread something on my post. Unown wasn't hovering anywhere; it was laying down on a rock.
Absol began jumping from rock to rock in an attempt to confuse Unown, however, Unown was just resting there, looking at the sky and not really paying attention to what was happening around it. Suddenly, Absol jumped towards Unown and surprised it. Unown tried to dodge, but it was in no position to do so very well. Still, Absol couldn't find a good spot to grip with his teeth as it leaped, and with Unown moving just a bit, Absol only managed to smash into Unown and the rock it was laying on.
Unown was hit, so it began to hover around Absol, wondering what was wrong with him. Absol shook his head and was ready for the next command.
Ranger Eli just stared, as did Nancy. Eli looked at the Redino and said, "It's good to pay attention to your surroundings, but you need to pay attention to your target's position too." "Nyah," followed Nancy to complete the coaching.

"Ah, Absol, we need to work on our battling skills when we get out of here." Redino said shaking his head. He got serious and clenched his fists before continuing: "Allright, cant change the past now. The little bugger is in the air, hit him with another Bite attack! Keep moving, and hit it from behind so it wont see ya comin."
"I just need your luck to kick in here Absol," Redino said lightly to himself, then over his shoulder to Eli, he asked "How many more of those Potions do you have on ya? From the looks of my battling, I may need some more."

Ranger Eli looked at Redino and calmly said, "Don't worry, I have plenty of those."
Nancy then said, "Nyah!" as she pointed towards the battle.
Unown kept staring at Absol. Absol tried moving around Unown, but it was easy for Unown to follow. Still, when Absol finally jumped to Bite Unown, it tried levitating more to dodge, but Absol managed to bite pulling Unown to the ground. Unown was really hurt and upset too. In the pain, spheres of energy surrounded Unown and quickly merged into a beam that shot Absol right off of Unown. Now with a bit more distance, the spheres appeared around Unown again as it prepared to strike.

"Allright Absol. Business time. Fire off two Will-O-Wisp's before that Unown attacks and then use Protect!" Redino said, getting angry that this irritating and otherwise worthless Pokemon kept doing damage to Absol.
As he got angrier, he took out one of the Hyper balls that he bought from the Parkmart before entering and got ready to throw it. He was amazed about how Eli managed to stay so calm during battles.

"Oh, my name is Jess," the Ranger replied, a little taken aback by Robert's comments. She then gives a little smile and shakes her head, walking beside the Trainer and occasionally glancing at the Butterfree on his shoulder. "And no, I'm not high on meth, as you so beautifully put it. I'm always cheerful. Life's too short to be grouchy and pessimistic all the time. And of course you're here to catch Pokemon. In fact, it's rare that we get researchers or anything here, which is actually kind of strange. You'd think they'd flock to a place like this, wouldn't you?"
They walked, with Robert clearing a path through the various growth that was in the way. A piece of it flew back and nearly struck Jess' leg, but she had sharp reflexes from working in the Park for a long time. She easily lifted her leg and avoided being struck by the projectile foliage. As she stepped back down she heard Robert gasp; the Ranger looked up, expecting some massive Pokemon to be coming at them or something. Instead, there was a Ralts standing not too far away. The little white Pokemon wasn't really doing anything; it appeared to just be standing around.
"Butterfree, make friends," Robert suggested, and Butterfree gracefully flapped away to dance through the air, releasing a Silver Wind attack and weaving through the glittery powder. It was certainly a beautiful show and a clear sign that Butterfree meant no harm, but that seemed lost on Ralts. It gave a faint little noise as it lifted its arms and held its hands out towards Butterfree. Getting a bad feeling, Jess thought she understood what was going on.
"Oh dear...I think that Ralts was meditating and we interrupted it! You'd better tell Butterfree to get ready for a battle!"

Absol focused as a blue fire slowly appeared in front of him. As a second fire began to appear, Unown fired his Hidden Power attack. The fires were shot towards Unown, but one of them got pierced by the Hidden Power attack. Absol was just about to get hit by that Hidden Power, but he managed to create a barrier at the last second. The Will-o-wisp that survived made contact with Unown and gave it a burn. The Unown was hurt and it tried to float away.

"Allright Absol!" Praised Redino. He took the hyper ball in his hand and wound up for a fast throw at the fleeing Unnown. He let the ball go and it went hurtling through the air, he just hoped that the burn would make the Pokemon much easier to capture.
"Absol, you stay behind that Protect until this Pokeball either captures the pokemon or it escapes. But dont you dare move until I tell you." Redino called out. He closed his eyes and waited.

Absol just stood there with the Protect barrier still working. Redino threw the Hyperball which went flying and hit Unown. Unown was absorbed into the Hyperball which fell to the floor. Ranger Eli and Nancy both stared at it expectantly. Eli had a smile on his face as he knew Redino had improved a bit, but he was still to see if the improvement paid off. The ball began to shake as it flashed in red once...twice...three times, then suddenly it stopped.
"You did it!" said Ranger Eli as Nancy jumped up and down to celebrate. Nancy then stopped for a moment as she still heard sounds comming from inside the cave.

Ranger Eli quickly ran into the cave to guide Redino and said while scratching the back of his head, "True, but you seem so enthusiastic I kind of lost track of that for a moment." "Nyah," said Nancy while matching Eli's expression.
As they walked into the cave, they heard something coming towards them. It didn't took long for it to reach them. A ghostly purple puppet, Shuppet, was floating in their direction. It didn't seem to be attacking though, as it headed turned to the side and hid behind a nearby rock. Not longer after, another Pokemon appeared, Baltoy, the clay doll Pokemon. It stood there in infront of Redino, when Shuppet jumped out from behind the rock and rested on Baltoy's head next to its spike. Baltoy reached for the Shuppet which began to float and a bit into the cave, but when Shuppet turned back, Baltoy was still staring curiously at Redino. Shuppet made a few sounds as it smiled. As Baltoy heard them, it turned around and floated towards the Shuppet.
Both Ranger Eli and Nancy smiled. Eli then said, "One of the many things to love about the park. You find plenty of Pokemon of different species playing together."

Redino smiled at the site of the two Pokemon playing. "Eli, a potion would be usefull righ about now," Redino said, smile unwavering. "Money may need to come after the battle."
Redino slid a gloved hand into his coat pocket, and pulled out his second Pokeball. He let it fall to the ground at his feet and whispered "Come on out Ninjask."
The Pokemon materialized, hovering silently and calmly a few feet above the ground, waiting for an order. Absol stood at Redino's other side, and the pair of Pokemon waited as Redino began to think of a plan.
Redino pulled two hyperballs out of his pocket, one in each hand, and began giving out orders, unable to wait for Eli's potion.
"Ninjask, I want you to hit that Baltoy with a X Scissor. Yes, its a cheap shot, but i cant afford injuries to the pair of you." Ninjask silently bobbed its head in understanding, and stealthily began its approach.
"Absol, while Baltoy is distracted with Ninjask, you need to deal with that Shuppet. A normal powered bite will probably KO it, so hit it, but not too hard. Discipline is the key here now buddy." Absol gave a quiet "sol!" and began its silent approach, padding along delicately hiding behind any protruding rocks, and steadily gaining ground.
You could tell that Redino was an assassin. He made no noise when he walked, he wore gloves that reached all the way up to his elbows that were reinforced to block assaults, and he wore two long glinting knives on his belt, one on either side of his body, right next to his Pokeballs. The main reason you could tell though, was his pure raw enjoyment of stealth and battleing. His eyes lit up before the battles, and his smile grew even bigger after he gave his stealthy orders to his two most silent and deadly Pokemon.

Ninjask tried to sneak up on Baltoy, but Shuppet was paying close attention to everything. It noticed the Ninjask approaching and the Absol sneaking around. It knew those two Pokemon were up to something. Baltoy, however wasn't paying much attention to anything and was curious as to what was Shuppet staring at. Suddenly, Ninjask dashed toward the two of them to strike Baltoy with X-Scissors, but Shuppet blocked the attack by headbutting Ninjask right in the jaw, sending him flying backwards a bit. At that moment, Absol jumped towards Shuppet with his Bite attack. Shuppet wasn't able to dodge and screeched a bit in pain. Baltoy began to panic and shot a Psybeam towards Absol, but the beam seemed to have just bounced off. Still panicking, Baltoy spun around a bit and threw some dirt in Absol's face making him release Baltoy. Absol shook off the dirt as the two wild Pokemon regrouped and awaited the next assault.
Ranger Eli smiled and said, "Another thing I love about the Park, you find different species taking care of each other too."

"Not much is going our way here guys. Absol, I want you to hit them both with a huge fire blast. Ninjask, stay out of his way, distract those wilds and deflect any oncoming attacks with whatever moves you see fit. Use your speed boost to your advantage!"
Absol began sucking in air, preparing to release a huge fire blast. Ninjask flitted around in front of the Suppet and Baltoy, stratchin at them with his claws and flinging dirt and rocks from the cave floor towards them, waiting for Redino's signal for it to move out of the way of the oncoming fire blast.
"As big as you can possibly get it Absol!" Redino called. "Eli, I suggest you find some cover."

06-22-2009, 03:59 AM
Dark thunderbolts began coming out of Shuppets eyes, but they were being blocked by the rocks Ninjask was throwing. Shuppet stopped, but Baltoy began using Psybeam to break the rocks as well. Shuppet looked at Absol and noticed the fire spilling out of his mouth as he prepared for an attack. Shuppet looked down at Baltoy and began making sounds as if talking to it.
Ranger Eli and Nancy did take cover as Redino suggested when, suddenly, Absol fired a mighty Fire Blast. Ninjask, using it impressive speed moved out of the way. However, Shuppet began to shoot its Night Shade attack once more, but this time directly into the Fire Blast. At the same time, Baltoy began spinning rapidly. The Fire Blast was weakened by the Night Shade while Baltoy's Rapid spin deflected some of the flames, but at the end they were both enveloped in flames.
Once it cleared, Shuppet was exhausted and breathing hard. Its eyes began to glow as it stared for a moment at Absol. Absol suddenly began to cough a bit and it spitted out a bit of fire, but it didn't seem to have done any damage.
Baltoy was clearly healthier, but you could tell it took a big hit. It looked up at Shuppet. Seeing how badly hurt it was, Baltoy got really angry.

A Pokeball flew through the air towards the near fainted Shuppet.
"Absol!" Redino called, "use the speed from a quick attack to get close to Baltoy and pick it up in your mouth with a Bite attack, do it delicate, its gotta live through Ninjask's attack!"
Absol tensed and began the short sprint towards the angry Baltoy. Ninjask flitted nearby.
"Ninjask!" Redino yelled, "before the Baltoy attacks, use a few Sand Attacks! And when Absol grabs the sucker, hit it with a Fury Cutter!"
"Gosh, this place isn't easy on ya is it? It pulls out all the stops." He remarked over his shoulder to Eli as he watched his Pokemon prepare for their attacks.

The Ralts apparently took what I was doing as a threat, and I couldn't say I was surprised. Still, it would've been much easier to catch if he hadn't taken it as a threat. Idiotic Pokemon. But now he was waving his minuscule fists around in the air, obviously thinking that he was bigger than he really was. I couldn't blame him, tiny and unimportant didn't really mean much when you had awesome psychic superpowers.
"Oh dear...I think that Ralts was meditating and we interrupted it! You'd better tell Butterfree to get ready for a battle!" Jess warned, and I think Butterfree knew what was going down already.
"Mhmm," I muttered, analyzing the situation. Butterfree seemed to be in a good position, fluttering a few yards above of Ralts. Slowly it came down a few times, gracefully taunting the Ralts (not using the move btw :P).
I finally got what I needed to do in my head, calculating everything, including my Pokemon's calm stature and regular attitude to non contact battle. "Okay, Butterfree, use Psychic to root Ralts in place,"
A blue green aura slowly yet surely started to surround Ralts, the goal of which was to root it in place. If it succeeded, Ralts would still have some amount of movement, but only enough so it would allow for the Ralts to tire it out. By doing this it also saved Butterfree energy, which was something that was very useful in a situation similiar to this.
Content with what Butterfree did, I called out my next attack in a firm voice, "Now Butterfree, use a Poisonpowder and Sleeppowder mix, and spread it around him and on him, so that if he moves he'll pick it up,"
Butterfree followed my commands religiously, I was lucky to have such a loyal and obeying Pokemon. He flitted around, glittering purple powders and a dull grey coloured powder falling onto the Ralts, propelled downwards by Butterfree's flapping wings.

"Mhmm," was Robert’s response to Jess’ suggestion. As the Ranger watched, Butterfree fluttered above Ralts and flew around in a manner that clearly suggested taunting. Ralts didn’t seem to pay any attention to Butterfree’s efforts; Jess could tell it was preparing some sort of attack. She got ready to mention it when Robert suddenly commanded, "Okay, Butterfree, use Psychic to root Ralts in place." Instantly Butterfree moved to comply, and within moments a bluish-green haze started creeping over Ralts. Once that was accomplished, Robert said, “Now Butterfree, use a Poisonpowder and Sleep Powder mix, and spread it around him and on him, so that if he moves he'll pick it up." Once again, Butterfree immediately sprung into action once he had his orders. The butterfly gracefully flitted back and forth, releasing a mix of purple, poisonous spores and soft, ash-colored powders from his wings. It seemed like a good idea in theory, but in practice it turned out to be not so practical.
A gentle breeze kicked up and effectively blew away most of Butterfree’s combined attacks. Jess nodded absently as she switched her attention to Ralts, which was now fully engulfed by Butterfree’s Psychic. What Robert had failed to consider was, being a Psychic-type Pokemon itself, Ralts was more than capable at turning away the mental assaults of its foe. Using its own focused aptitude, the little Pokemon gathered a concentrated blanket of energy around itself, then dematerialized and vanished. Without a target to hold Butterfree’s Psychic bubble collapsed as Ralts Teleported above it, using its psychic abilities to hover in the air.
“Raaaa!” the little white-bodied, lime-haired Pokemon shouted, flinging its arms out towards Butterfree. It released a thick whip of black energy, which looped around Butterfree without touching it. Ralts stopped the flow of energy once it had circled around Butterfree several times, floating a few feet away and preparing yet another attack. This time it waved its arms in an intricate pattern, and Jess could see the ghostly outlines of several dozen leaves beginning to form in front of the small Pokemon. The leaves quickly took on form and substance, becoming an iridescent teal color as they solidified. Once that was done, Ralts gave a sharp cry and jerked its arms down, sending the multitude of leaves flying towards Butterfree at an insane speed.
“Imprison and Magical Leaf!” Jess exclaimed, surprised by how crafty the little Ralts was. “That thing just made it impossible for Butterfree to use any moves that Ralts also knows, and Magical Leaf is a move that’s so quick it’s almost impossible to dodge!”

Also keep in mind your environment and the kind of Pokemon you’re battling; in a valley there’s bound to be quite a bit of wind, and trying to hold a Psychic Pokemon in place with a Psychic attack isn’t going to go over too well.

"Tailwind," I called out, knowing this attack. Magical Leaf was wicked fast, but Tailwind was amazing for speed. As I called that out, Butterfree barely had time to blink before a mystical wind came from the east. Butterfree had complete control over it, and it sped towards him, much faster that the Magical Leaves. It whisked him away, and although one leaf grazed his foot, as a whole Butterfree was relatively unscathed.
Nodding, I looked at Butterfree's foot. A bit of blood was dripping from it, which was thick and green. "Mhmm," I mused again, chewing on my lower lip. The Tailwind wouldn't last for long, but I knew what I was going to do with it now. "Okay, Butterfree, combine Silver Wind and Stun Spore, then blast it straight at Ralts with the Tailwind. Quickly though, Tailwinds don't last for long,"
Enduring the small wound from the cut, Butterfree flapped its wings hard. Different coloured powders came off, the first of which was a dull sandy yellow colour. When this was inhaled into the body, it immediately inflicted a decent amount of paralysis. The Silver Wind was in fact hundreds of tiny parasites that upon contacting the body, bored into the skin. They then acted as ticks, sucking up blood and replacing it with a special fluid. This fluid gave a tolerable amount of pain, and was eventually overriden with blood and mixed with it, and after a while it was not evident there had been any sort of foreign liquid in the veins at all. THat being said, it hurt for about a minute or two, but the parasites' life spans were extremely short, and they died off quickly.
After the spores fell into the air, the Tailwind blew them all straight at Ralts, and it was enveloped from all sides with tiny spores and blood sucking parasites. The Tailwind then started to disappear, its effects being used and the magical fuel being exhausted.

The Hyperball flew right between Redino's Pokemon and reached Shuppet. Shuppet sighed right before the ball hit and the Pokemon got absorbed into it. Baltoy panicked and it started surrounding the Hyperball as it began to shake. After a few seconds, the ball finally stopped, and Baltoy was left alone.
Baltoy heard Redino give a few commands. While it wasn't paying enough attention to know what they were, Baltoy knew the two Pokemon were going to attack. Not knowing what to do, Baltoy just began using Rapid Spin to defend itself. Ninjask tried comming in with a Sand Attack, but it just got deflected by the Rapid Spin. Absol then jumped in to take a Bite and much to everyone's surprise, Absol luckily bit Baltoy's left arm stopping the Rapid Spin right then. Ninjask quickly moved in and hit with its Fury Cutter. Baltoy was hurting but at that point, a dust devil seemed to have appeared out of no where and surrounded Baltoy pushing away both Absol and Ninjask. The dust devil cleared and Baltoy just stood there awaiting the next attack.
Nancy began to jump up and down to cheer for Redino while Eli said, "Keep it up Redino!"

Redino watched the Shuppet get pulled into the Pokeball and smiled.
"Allright now guys, heres what I want" Redino began. "Absol, use Protect and run straight for the Baltoy, hitting him with the barrier you make. Ninjask, I want you to scoop up rocks, sand, dirt, whatever and distract the Baltoy. Just make sure that Absol gets his hit."
Redino leaned against the closest rock and tossed the Pokeball to himself, from one hand to the other as the pokemon prepared for their attacks.
A loud sound echoed throughout the cave, but the Pokemon were all to distracted to hear it. Redino tensed up as he heard the sound and remarked to Eli, "Sounds like something big is waiting for me out there."

Baltoy noticed the rocks and sand being thrown by Ninjask and stopped it all with Confusion. Baltoy then threw it all back and Ninjask, but Ninjask was too fast and dodged it. Baltoy then noticed the Absol comming its way. Absol was so close, Baltoy panicked and used Confusion. Absol didn't seem to be affected by it, so it just continued and tackled Baltoy with his barrier. Baltoy was sent flying back and landed on its back in the ground. It didn't seem to be moving at all.

OOC: Nice way to counter the windy area ^^.
///
IC: Jess watched the unfolding battle with a great deal of interest. It was her duty to be vigilant, of course, and to make sure that no Pokemon ended up too badly hurt. More than that, she liked seeing the strategies of the Trainers who came to the Park in order to obtain new friends and teammates.
“Tailwind!” Robert ordered his Pokemon, and Butterfree leapt into action. Almost immediately after receiving his order, Butterfree summoned up a mystical wind from the east. In the blink of an eye, the wind snatched the butterfly and whisked it out of the path of the Magical Leaf attack. Unfortunately, one of the leaves proved faster than Butterfree’s Tailwind, managing to hit one of the Pokemon’s feet and leaving a bleeding wound. A quick evaluation showed that the injury was superficial, and though it might sting a bit, it wasn’t really anything to worry about. She made a note to mention to Robert after the battle to clean the cut to ensure it didn’t get infected, though.
"Mhmm," Robert murmured once again, gnawing on his lower lip as he scanned the battlefield. Finally he called out, "Okay, Butterfree, combine Silver Wind and Stun Spore, then blast it straight at Ralts with the Tailwind. Quickly though, Tailwinds don't last for long," Always ready to obey, it seemed, Butterfree whirled to face the levitating Ralts, who seemed annoyed that its attack had, for the most part, failed. It narrowed gave a shout as it watched Butterfree beat its wide wings, releasing a combination of dark saffron-colored spores and a metallic silver cloud. Looking pleased with himself, Butterfree twitched his antennae in Ralts’ direction, and the Tailwind started blowing that way after picking up the silvery-yellow mixture of powders.
“Raaalts!” Ralts yelled, flinging its arms into the air and using its psychic powers to draw acidic toxins from the plant life all around. Thousands of miniscule drops of clear liquid rose into the air, and when Ralts clapped its hands together the drops rapidly combined into a giant sphere that was roughly twice the size of a large beach ball. The giant orb shimmered in the sunlight as tiny rainbows formed within it, but its beauty belied its danger. Just before the Tailwind-carried Stun Spore and Silver Wind attacks engulfed it, Ralts launched the ball of liquid at Butterfree. To be precise, it fired the orb at Butterfree’s injured foot, and Jess smiled grimly at the little Pokemon’s battle smarts.
Then it was enveloped by the combined attacks borne on the fading Tailwind, and though it tried to hold its breath to avoid breathing in the spores, the Silver Wind attack inflicted a momentary but sharp stinging pain. Ralts gave a cry, then inadvertently drew in a short gasping breath. While it didn’t inhale enough to inflict complete paralysis, it would definitely be enough to slow it down some.
Ralts didn’t waste any time hanging around inside the cloud, Teleporting itself back to the ground and tilting its head back to check the progress of its earlier Toxic attack. Jess noticed its skin looked red and puffy, and she hoped the super-effective Silver Wind wouldn’t trouble the poor little Ralts for too awfully long. It had clearly taken a chunk of damage from the attack, but thankfully the Tailwind had dissipated some of the cloud, and being mixed with Stun Spore had also reduced a bit of its strength.

OOC: Lol, all the damage Butterfree took was from a normal-powered, 60 BP Magical Leaf. That seemed appropriate enough considering Butterfree didn’t sustain too bad of an injury. Heh, I wonder what you’ll do about the fact that Ralts can Teleport all over the place…

"Nice job you two!" Redino praised, as he threw the Pokeball towards the almost fainted Baltoy. "Now retreat back slowly before it makesa desperate last attack. Ninjask, stay behind Absol's protect barrier and both of you backpedal toward me now."

Baltoy struggled to get up while Ninjask hid behind Absol. Absol used Protect as Redino's Hyperball flew towards Baltoy. Baltoy managed to stand up and noticed the incomming ball. Just before the ball hit, Baltoy caugh it, wondering what it was for. Suddenly, the Hyperball opened and Baltoy got sucked into it. The ball fell to the floor, gave a single red flash, and then stood there quietly.
Ranger Eli began to clap while Nancy retrieved the Hyperball and gave it to Redino. Eli looked at Redino and said, "These battles have been so different than your first one. Great job, but, don't get over confident now."

Redino laughed and took his Hyperball from Nancy's mouth. "Thanks for the compliment Eli," Redino said with a smile, "but overconfidence is not one of my weaknesses."
The two Pokemon reached the pair of trainers and Redino knelt to stroke Absol's coat and pat Ninjask's shell. "I'm gonna need two more potions Eli. And like five more Hyper balls if you've got." He took a large stack of money and held it out towards Eli. "Thats all the money I'm carrying on me, I'll trust you to give me the right change"
Redino took the three Pokemon he had captured on the visit to the Park so far and began to absentmindedly juggle them, wondering about the sound he heard earlier and how many of the Pokemon would actually be leaving the park with him.

Ranger Eli listened to Redino and smiled. He took $2,000 and gave him 2 Healing Potions. "Here you go. I'm sorry, but, I don't have any Hyperballs or any Parkballs to be honest," said Eli. Nancy ran to his side when suddenly the strange sound they heard before appeared again. All the Pokemon looked towards the deeper inside the cave where the sound seemed to be comming from. Whatever was making that sound, it was getting louder or rather closer.
"Well, Redino, you have a choice: keep exploring the cave or go explore other sections of Meteor Valley," said Ranger Eli as he too stared in the direction of the sound.

Redino sprayed the two banged up Pokemon with healing potions, bringing them back up to full health. The loud sound of a Pokemon reverberated through the cave.

Redino's Pokemon shook off the slight sting of the potions and went back to their full health. Ranger Eli heard Redino's responce and caught up to Redino as he walked deeper into the cave. Suddenly, the strange noise they were following stopped before the group could find what was making it. Sadly, the cave also became too dark too soon and they weren't able to go any further.
"I'm sorry Redino. Unless one of your Pokemon knows Flash, this is as far as we go," said Ranger Eli.
Redino hadn't given his responce yet, when all of a sudden, a Metang came out of the darkness and stopped right in front of Redino with a terrying face as it made horrible sounds which matched the ones they were hearing earlier.

Redino sighed. "I would love to fight this bad boy, but I wouldnt even be able to take it home. I gotta back away from this brawll."
Redino started to slowly walk backwards, away from the Metang, but the pokemon kept watching him.
"Absol, Ninjask, I want you two to make a distraction for this guy so we can all get out of here in one piece."
Redino noticed two thin pillars of stone that were holding up part of the cave roof, as he passed between them, with Absol on his left, and Ninjask on his right, and the Metang looking cautiously.
"Absol, use Night Slash a few times on that pillar to your left, Ninjask, use a few Fury Cutters on the pillar to your right, now, quick!"
Redino waited, still walking backwards, hoping that this would work and the Metang would be stuck behind a wall of rock.

Metang kept looking at Redino as he backed away. He looked really mad, but then something odd happened. Metang began to laugh and point at Redino, then it just levitated back into the darkness of the cave. Redino's Pokemon were distracted by this odd behavior and just kept staring into the darkness of the cave where that the Metang disappeared into. Both Ranger Eli and Nancy were shaking a bit and, with a sweatdrop, they turned around and headed towards the exit of the cave.
"Well, this goes to show even wild Pokemon like to have fun," said Ranger Eli. "Nyaah..." added Nancy as she nodded. Eli sighed a bit then continued, "I suggest we get out of here."

"Hm, a pond?" Redino asked thoughfully. "Well, if we head towards the pond, we should be able to find some more wild Pokemon on the way there, right?"
Absol came out of the cave and began climbing down the ledges, excited and witing for the trainers to follow.
Redino laughed and signaled to Eli to come along with a wave of his hand. Ninjask came flying out of the cave and hovered toward Redino and Absol. The twin knives at Redino's waist glinted in the sudden sunlight and simewhat obscured the view of the trio climbing down to the ground.

Ranger Eli kept walking towards the tall grass. "Well, the pond is favorited spot in the valley. It's at the very end, so, yeah, we should find a lot of Pokemon along the way," he said.
As they made their way into the grass, Eli noticed a group of Poochyena playing together in the grass. You could see the grass bending and a random Poochyena jumping out of it as they neared Redino's location. Suddenly, one of them noticed Redino and gave a quick howl. When they heard that sound, the group of Poochyena ran away. All except for one who ran towards Redino curiously. That one Poochyena climbed up the clift a bit to take a better look of Redino and just sat there while wagging its tail. Ranger Eli smiled as he stared at the young looking dark Pokemon.

"You know Redino, it might take sometime to get to the Pond, so you should take sometime to see what Pokemon you can find around here," said Ranger Eli as both he and Nancy ran next to Redino.
Suddenly, further ahead where Redino's Pokemon were, Absol tripped over something. He quickly stood up and looked back to examine what it was while Ninjask also stopped to wait for Absol. Whatever it was stood up and glared at Absol. Soon after, Redino caught up with his Pokemon and saw it. It was a very upset Wynaut.

Meanwhile, Nancy ran towards the Wynaut as Ninjask approached it. Nancy then jumped and created a heart that flew right towards Wynaut, but Wynaut jumped to a side and out of the way. The heart kept going and touched the incomming Ninjask. At that moment, Ninjask stared at Nancy and began to blush. He flew right out of the battle towards Nancy and began to fly around her. Wynaut, however, was already ready for its next attack and used Mirror Coat yet again, but, as soon as the Dark Pulse made contact, it became obvious that the attack had hit a weak spot; the Wynaut fainted and the Mirror Coat vanished.
At that moment, Ranger Eli took out a Pokeball and tossed it saying, "Belle, use Rain Dance!"
The Pokeball opened and a Dragonite appeared out of it. Dragonite flew up as she spun around a bit and shot several blue rays into the sky. Suddenly, grey clouds began to gather and it started to rain. The rain put out the fire and Nancy began running around in the rain.
Ranger Eli looked at Redino and said, "Please be careful. The Park is home to plenty of Pokemon you see. Anyway, shall we continue?"

Ranger Eli recalled Belle to her Pokeball and the group began walking again. As they kept moving, they passed many Pokemon, but most just seemed to hide and try to keep their distance. Walking in that tall grass wasn't easy either since they didn't really know what surprise could be hiding beneath it, plus, the rain wasn't making it any easier either. The group soon spotted the pond, but suddenly, a stange looking hole appeared in the water. The Pokemon around made way as they felt the presence of something comming. There was an ominous silence for a moment; the Rain even stopped as if trying to contribute to the silence. Still, the calmness was soon broken by the roaring sound of a Pokemon comming out of the hole in the water. It was a Giratina. Giratina began scanning the area until it noticed Redino. The Legendary Pokemon just stood there, staring at Redino with an empty expression.
Ranger Eli and Nancy were just speechless.

Absol, was about to tense up and prepare for an attack, when Redino said out of the corner of his mouth: "Dont even think about it Absol!"
Redino stood completely still, to scared to even move. the Giratina was enormous, and he wanted to take a picture, but remembered the Park's "No Personal Camera" Rule.
Cursing to himself in his head, he said quietly to Eli, "You better snap a picture for yourself, quickly before it goes away. I dont think it is planning to wait for a photo shoot."

OOC: Sorry about taking this long. I have family staying over which makes it harder to get a hold of the computer. I should be back to posting almost everyday on August 4. For now I'll just do what I can.
Ranger Eli was hesitating to take the picture himself. After all, it was against the Park Rules which he had to obey. He thought for a moment and reached towards where he had a camera stored, but as he reached for it, Giratina began diving back into the water and disappeared.
Ranger Eli thought he would probably have an upset client in his hand, but he just took a big breath and said, "Well, that was an amazing sight. I'm glad we got to see it. Since we are now at the pond, feel free to look around for Pokemon. They should come out of hiding soon if we wait patiently."

Redino let out the breath he had been holding and walked over to the edge of the pond. The water still shimmered from where the Giratina had dove in.
He took two steps back and found a large rock, overgrown with moss and grasses. He pulled himself onto it and lay down. "Absol, I'm gonna close my eyes a little. If you wanna look around and see if you find any wild Pokemon around here, go for it. But make sure to wake me up fir-"
Absol looked questioningly over to Redino to see why the sentnece was unfinished. He saw two things. First was Redino, on the rock, sleeping like a log. Second was the surface of the lake moving around again.

Ugh, it's been forever x.x
Failpost coming, get ready.
IC:
“Aye,” I said, nodding towards Butterfree. “Let’s finish this up, Free, one more move,”
I then looked at him as he flew around, above Ralts’ head, taunting its every move. This gave me ample thinking time, and I knew what I wanted to do then. I was going to try one last time with mixed powders, and use a mix of poison and sleep powders, then Dream Eater if it worked, and I knew what I was going to do. “Butterfree, release Sleepowder and PoisonPowder, and then wait for my instructions,” I called out in a monotone voice.
Butterfree gave a slight nod of approval (or rather the whatever the hell a bug can do), and released one last blast of spores from its wings. This time they were a dull grey colour and a sparkling bright purple, the latter shining with a deadly reflective light. The glittered in the air as they floated, simply waiting to hit a target. “Now Butterfree,” I continued, “Use Whirlwind and shoot them towards Ralts, make sure they hit, kay,” I called out, slightly bored by the battle, and giving unrealistic goals. This was my last attempt at trying to affect the Ralts with status effects, I’d just flat out attack it next. It was drawing a bit long and I was starting to wish it would simply come to a close.
Butterfree flapped his wings several times in succession, fueling gusts of wind that propelled the powders straight towards the Ralts. They glittered in the bright sunlight as they quickly rushed towards the Ralts, and devoured him in a cloud of brightly colored, sparkly, slightly homosexual looking spores.
I simply smiled, muttering the word, “Gotcha,” under my breath.
