The Plot:

No one is quite sure how the island came about.

It wasn’t until recent years that is was discovered by one Joseph Farnsworth, one of the richest men in the world. He’d been enjoying a week-long fishing trip with some of his friends, testing out a new private boat he’d just purchased. It was only by a stroke of luck that Joseph saw the outline of the island and decided to go check it out. When he and his friends arrived, they agreed to explore the island, since it wasn’t listed on the map they had. What they found astounded them; Pokemon of all kinds roamed the island, and even more surprising was the fact that they were not used to humans! They came right up to Joseph and his friends, showing no fear or aggression, and it was obvious they’d never seen a human in their lives before that day.

Joseph was more ecstatic about this than his friends, and as soon as they returned to the southern shores of the Orange Islands, Joseph immediately claimed the island and dubbed it Farn’s Paradise. Right after that, he began using his massive fortune to develop the island. Teams of professional explorers and surveyors were called in to chart the island, and these groups discovered that the piece of isolated land was huge, measuring at least half the size of the entire region of Hoenn! With this information in hand, Joseph started drafting plans for making something of the island, fixing to make it after its name. He started work on a huge mansion, a communication station complete with a radio tower and other such equipment, and the Sky Platform (where he’d be able to look out over his island at leisure), which was built before all else.

Unfortunately, recession struck hard right during the middle of development, and Joseph lost a large amount of his fortune. Construction was halted, and, now finding himself strapped for cash, the once-rich man bid sad farewell to his island and sold it to the Orange Islands government. This wasn’t the end of the island, though, not at all. In fact, it was about to have a whole new destiny bestowed upon it.

Using the surveys and information that Joseph had handed over, the government decided to transform the island into the largest Park the world had ever seen. They changed the name, dubbing the island the National Park, and within a year of being sold, construction was once again in full swing on the island. The first thing to be built were Outposts, which were used to monitor the Park and the Pokemon living on it. The mansion that had been half-built was left as it was, and by this time it was already being reclaimed by the forest it had been erected in.

But new problems were arising for the Park, or rather, old problems were becoming more of an issue. Ever since it's discovery, the island had been plagued by various individuals seeking to take advantage it's abundant resources. Poachers, people seeking to extract valuable minerals and the like, random non certified adventurers, and others were becoming more and more of a threat to the welfare of the island, the National Park, and all the Pokemon inhabiting it. Because of the growing problem, caretakers known as Rangers were hired to help look after the island and its Pokemon. It was also their job to lead visitors through the Park, keeping them and the Pokemon they encountered safe.

Rangers also had another job. Long before the National Park was complete or before the island was even discovered, many of the island's Pokemon were over breeding. It was decided that, instead of trapping or killing the crowds of Pokemon, Trainers would be allowed to come and capture some. Thus, it fell to the Rangers to lead Trainers through the Park as well as regular visitors.

Finally, everything was ready. The Park opened, and has been thriving ever since. However, there is certainly more than meets the eye when it comes to the island. Many are puzzled by why the island was never discovered until a few years ago, considering it's big enough to be called a small region. This is a mystery deepened when one takes into account several facts about the island, such as when one member of a team of archaeologists claimed the landmass had once been inhabited by an ancient human civilization. Or the fact that every Pokemon known to exist flourishes in this one area. In fact, biologists are baffled by the enormous variety of fauna and flora that are present on the island, and experts disagree whether the terrain is natural. It all seems too well-planned, too perfect...And every so often, visitors see and hear...things. Ghostly creatures that don't look like any animal or Pokemon and don't register in a PokeDex, or unusual, eerie noises that seem to come from everywhere...

The National Park is open and its many wonders are waiting for you. But what else will you find among the many Pokemon and sprawling habitats? What secrets will you uncover? Is the island really just a normal landmass in the middle of the ocean, or is there something more to it? There's only one way to find out, so get ready and dive into the National Park!

Welcome to the Sign-Up thread. This is where you post your SU's for approval by the Rangers, so that you can use that character, solely for Roleplay throughout the Park. Please also keep in mind, that you can only make 1 Character. This may differ for the Rangers, as they may want to perform the RP as a individual character of their own, rather than RPing as the Ranger themselves. Therefore, Rangers can have 2 characters; their normal Ranger character and a Trainer character.

You are also advised to read the Park Rules and the Role Playing Guide, before you step into this place.

Description: What do you look like? Just a few lines or a picture will do. We don't want to be leading voids around the Park, now, do we?
Pokemon Captured: After your SU has been approved, you have to keep track of the Pokemon you've captured in the Park. Simply edit them into your stats each time you leave the Park. You can be as specific about when and where you captured them as you like. Be sure to note what Natures they were given.
Pokemon Natures: As you bring Pokemon into the Park and catch them, you'll need to keep track of their Natures. Please add a Pokemon and its Nature to your stats every time you bring a new one to the Park. For example, if you bring Gengar to the Park for the first time, make sure you edit it into your stats along with the Nature you chose. You only have to add each Pokemon once, and only as it's brought into the Park. You can also add your Pokemon's Natures in your regular URPG stats, if you wish to.
Park Items: You can either keep track of Items you've bought/used here, in your regular URPG stats, or both. Just make sure you keep track of them somewhere :P.

You don't have to come back here again for another approval, and if you do return here, you'll just get chased out by my hound dogs. :tongue: Thus, this is only a one time SU, for record purposes. Everyone's stats/character info gets stored in post #2. So go there and locate your name, which will take you to your SU/info directly, rather than looking through this thread all over for it.

Age: 19

Gender: Female

Personality: Saundra is friendly, out-going, and basically is a fun person to be around. She has an awesome sense of humor, and even when times are tough or downright dark, she'll never fail to find something to laugh about in order to keep everyone's spirits up. While she can be easily distracted at times, she can focus on a task or object with unnerving intensity. She's not prone to making rash decisions, and will take as much time as she needs to think about various reactions to things she says and does. She's also not prone to anger, though when she does get mad it can be quite a sight.

Saundra is about 5'6" tall and weighs around 120 lbs. She normally wears white jeans and a pale tan tee shirt, and has black tennis shoes. She keeps a fanny pack with her various items, including her Pokemon's PokeBalls, stored in assigned pouches. The longer hair is usually done up in a simple braid to keep it out of her red eyes. The fans she's holding are kept in a special sheath on her back; she uses them for shade and also to run off Pokemon who are getting too close for her comfort. She can also perform a pretty dance using them, but that's besides the point.

Gender: Female

Personality: Trainer is laid-back and collected, not really letting her emotions run wild. She's kind and compassionate, and is always willing to offer her help when it's needed or asked for. She enjoys wandering around the Park, and can often be seen doing just that when she has no Trainers or visitors to lead. Always on the cautious side, Trainer constantly has at least one of her Pokemon out when in the Park, after a scare she received from a Rhyperior that decided to charge at her for no reason. She's alert, never letting her guard down even when it seems all is well.

Trainer stands about 5'4" tall and weighs a petite 105 lbs. Her red and black ensemble are her Ranger's mark; it's not pictured, but she also has a golden badge with the letters "NP" pinned to the middle of the PokeBall symbol on her shirt. Her long blonde hair normally hangs free, unless there's a situation where it needs to be put back to keep it out of the way. Her brown hip-pack holds her Pokemon's PokeBalls, while a black backpack (not pictured) carries at least one of each Ranger item (in case the Trainer needs anything).

Gender: Male

Personality: Axel is sort of mysterious. He doesn't really talk to any one. He likes to do things his way, traning, catching Pokemon, battling, all his way for the most part. He loves being outdoors looking for Pokemon because he never knows what he'll encounter. It all changes when around other people. Although sometimes it does not show, he tends to be a bit shy around people and gets a little nervous. He tries not to show any emotions. The only time he will show some sort of emotion is when he's in battle or on the hunt for new Pokemon.

Description: Axel has a small black fro that is usually under his dark grey cap. His eyes are known to look as silver as the moon. He is about 5'9 and weights approximately 125 pounds. He is usually seen wearing different colored t-shirts that ranged from dark grey to dark green. He wears black shorts that go five inches past his knees with dark grey running shoes. He carries a dark green backpack that he keeps his essentials such as the Park Balls and Repellants. He has a black bandana around his neck and a grey jacket.

Character Name: Robert Sharpas

Gender:Male

Age: 22

Alignment: Chaotic Good

Skills: Swordplay. Basically great with swords. He started out with fencing, and then continued to real blades. I'll go over this more in my history.

Equipment: One falchion (in a sheath slung over his back, going horizontal in the middle of the two katanas), and two katana (slung over the back in an X). Also, the three spikes that he has on his left shoulder are detachable and able to be re-inserted and used as projectiles or daggers; though they work best as a piercing weapon. ^Pretend there are two sheaths in an x over his back, and another one going down the middle of them, that one is where he puts the falchion when not useing it. And at his side is a rapier, complete with a fancy hilt :)

Robert stands at about 6’4”, and has dark red hair. It falls to around his neck, and curls around his head at some points. He wears a tight skinned long sleeved shirt, and then at the hands gloves. Over his left arm he wears a bracer with a trio of loosely attached throwing knives in the form of red spikes. He wears brown slacks with a leather belt and two fashionable leather rings around his leg (although they don’t do anything to degenerate his movement). At his hip he has a sheath in which he holds his falchion, and at his neck, a ragged cape, which swirls around him and gives him an intimidating look. On his back (positioned in a way it isn’t hindered by the rag draped over him) are two katana in sheaths.



Personality: Robert is very strong willed and, as some may put it, defiant. He doesn’t like to respect authority and has many problems with following orders. He likes to do things ‘his own way’ as he likes to do it; this basically means doing it the way he sees fit. When angered, he will basically throw caution to the wind and flat out attack the ‘target’ and try to kill it. As he puts it ‘If you stab something in the head enough times, it’s guaranteed to die’.

But despite these qualities, Robert has an innate sense of justice. He will always fight for what is right, well, at least in his eyes, and doesn’t let anything go; whether it be an evil villain or a petty thief. He will try to kill it to the best of his abilities, and will beat himself up about it if he fails. Altogether, he forms the perfect rebel, someone who will fight for the right things but doesn’t always do the right things to get there.

History: Robert never had a wonderful childhood, and he is grateful for that; it helped him become the rough around the edges person he is today. He was born small and premature, a full two and a half weeks before the scheduled time. In addition to this, his mother died in the emergency surgery they had to do to get him out of the womb. The anesthetic wore off just as they took the premature baby out and due to the shock and pain of being completely alert and cut open, she had a heart attack and died.

His father was a drunk and a gambler, repeatedly throwing away the small amount of money he got from his job as a lowly paid intern at a police station. Once they found that he had these problems, they immediately cut him loose, leaving him with a one and a half year old son, drinking and gambling problems, and no job.

Soon enough, the government seized Robert from his clutches, and sent him to rehab. Robert was sent nurtured by a motherly government agent who had taken it upon herself to adopt the young infant. She was murdered in a terrorist attack on the Sinnoh government building when Robert was five.

After that, he was sent to a foster home. He stayed there for two years, and discovered what probably was the sole reason he became a master of swordsplay in the first place; stick battling. The older children of the foster home (about eleven or twelve) would find decent sized sticks in the yard of the large home, pretend they were swords, and ‘duel’ with them. Robert viewed this from afar, and when he was six, decided to play.

He grabbed a stick, jumped in one of the duels, and left it with the other two boys covered in bruises. He played this for six months before it was finally banned by the owner of the home. During this stint, he had become champion of Dueling and was the youngest ever champion; this was where he earned his nickname ‘Slice’.

Eight months later, when he was seven, a wealthy but not rich couple came to the home and adopted Robert. He voiced his interest in swordsmanship after watching the Olympics Fencing Division and they got him fencing lessons, eventually deciding to let him use real blades at about thirteen.. He practiced on dummies with a falchion and two katana, as well as a rapier.

At sixteen, he was drafted into the police force, using only a special arm brace that held three daggers and doubled as a club, his blades, and his Staraptor (which he had gotten for his twelfth birthday as a Starly). He immediately soared high in the positions.

Abby, Female Absol. A rather Hardy 'Mon, Abby is a tough girl. Some feel Absols are unlucky, so many are nervous around Abby on first meeting her, but she doesn't care. Most calm down after getting to know her and she just ignores the ones who don't.

Growly, Female Arcanine. Brave nature, fitting the noble dog family. Growly is sweet, but doesn't think anything of running into danger head on.

Kasy, Female Spheal. Plump, sassy and fun, this Pokemon could have only come by her Impish nature from Dragana. Kasy is a gift from Dragana, so she naturally has her prankster ways. Amonea's more firm with this one than her other Pokemon, but her sharp tongue doesn't even faze Kasy. Finally, Amonea learned to just accept and love Kasy--that doesn't mean she won't yell at her if she finds another PB&J sandwich on her chair again...

No, Rangers roll a 15 dice for the area you go to (such as the Great Lakes), and then they choose which of those Pokemon to make appear at any given time in the RP. The rolls are witnessed by people like myself or Scott, and the Ranger must keep track of them so they know which Pokemon to make appear. This is to prevent cheating or favoritism.

And Robert, I lol'ed at your post. Normal IS boring, isn't it? That's why we get along so well XD.

Actually, they do. Natures change the way a roleplay goes. If a Pokemon is timid, it won't do combos well and combos can matter when it comes to role-playing. And yeah, a timid Pokemon will do certain moves better though, so its a balancing act.

Name: Honcho (Alias known by other Rangers)

Gender: Male

Personality: A strange man by many respects, Honcho is just another mystery surrounding the Park and he seems to prefer to keep it that way. He was discovered relatively recently alone in the Park itself, apparently not a member of either the government’s list of authorized personnel or even Farnsworth’s old list, and though he was questioned multiple times no one could get any pertinent information out of him. Or, they could, but he changed his story each time he was asked so that no one is sure exactly what the truth is, if the truth has indeed even been said yet. However, one thing is obvious, and that is that the individual knows a great many things that he shouldn’t be privy to and no one can ascertain how he discovered the information.

After quite a few attempts to ship Honcho to Kanto to both keep him away from the Park and to try to find out how he knows what he knows, security found that they just couldn’t get rid of him. Every time they tried he managed to slip back onto the island. A few times they sent him on his way, thinking the man gone, only to find him in some random part of the Park, simply walking along a path or feeding a local Zubat. The last few times he came back with something of a bang; the most recent of which he led a small group of Spinark's through the female's restroom.

Finally they gave up, and decided that it was best just to leave him where he was before someone ended up getting hurt. Some young, ambitious official decided to put the mysterious figure’s knowledge of the Park to the staff’s benefit, hiring him on after a psych evaluation determined him as not a threat as long as they kept him on the island.

What became clear when Honcho started his duties and interacted with the other Rangers was that he cherished his new position with a surprising passion. Trainers under his care never really got to know the man, though, because he loves to act and constantly has his Ditto form over him so he can assume different forms, names, and even change his personality.

Info : Miltank is well known for its healing capabilities. Thus, its the sole healer of the team. Personality: Chris has a very calm personality and will always stand up, and believe in his Pokemon. His favourite Pokemon are his interests, for example he loves the occasional Archaelogical dig for fossils. Therefore, his favourites are mainly of the Fossil Pokemon. Chris is also an easy going person but when it comes to battles, he's no push over.

Description: Chris is 5'8" and has dark brown hair, with a tint of blonde mixed in by a personal style of his own. He also has bright oceanic eyes. He wears a bright red t-shirt, which really doesn't disguise himself in a wild area for example... Chris also wears dark blue jeans, which are well camouflaged at night, but not in broad daylight! Any Pokemon can see him!

Name: Robert Silvermyst

Description: Robert has a muscular body build with a slightly lean look. Upon his chest he wears a white tee-shirt and a sleeveless leather vest. He stands at 6 feet tall and weighs 180 pounds. His eyes are a strange amber color, more akin to gold colored. His skin looks of a light tan-ish hue. He is dressed in a pair blue jeans with belts around the waist and around the lower legs to which flame red cloth is attached to the lower portion of the pants. His sneakers are black on the sides with gold stripes up the middle and tongue. However, the most unique feature of this man is his hair. It has the same white coloring, smoke-like shape and relative length as the mane of the legendary Entei. He wears a sword strapped to his belt. The sword itself, from hilt to tip, is pitch black with strange runes lining the blade. The sheath is pure white with similar runes etched along it.

Personality: Robert is the type of person that can either be your best friend or your worst nightmare. He is outwardly friendly to all he encounters, be they human or pokemon. To those in need, he is more than willing to give advice, guidance, or moral support. Rarely will he ever give hand-outs, at least not unless he means to instruct the recipient on how to use what is given to support themselves. He despises people who pick on the weak and helpless, those who betray and abandon thier pokemon, and those who seek to only use pokemon to cause others misery, suffering or pain. He is a man of honor and will never go back on his word once given. In dealing with wild pokemon, he prefers to befreind pokemon rather than to outright battle it. However if the pokemon in question prefers to battle in order to have the trainer prove himself, then Robert will battle without giving any quater as, in his mind, holding back would be nothing short of an insult.

Background:

Robert ws not originally of this dimension. In his former life, Robert lived as a mercenary Arcanine pokemorph who traveled the land, giving aid to those in need and taking jobs to hunt down wanted criminals and murderers. Then, one day, a dangerous and evil tower that was bannished away five hundred years ago returned to his world: the Dark Spire.

Being one of six heroes to answer the call of King Matthias Mewtwo, Robert and his party were blessed by a spell that would protect them from the dark magics of the Dark Spire, allowing him to keep his sanity and to protect him from possession. According to the King, his advisor and daughter went missing on the same day the Spire appeared. he sought thier rescue and a means to eliminate the spire so that its dark influences would release the people of the neighboring kingdom that were gripped in its madness.

Robert and his comrades scaled the hieghts of the tower, overcomming monsters, traps, puzzles and illusions on the way. But nothing could have prepared him for what lay at the top. There, the vazier stood and fought the party with everything he had. In the end and with his final breaths, the Vazier Alakazam uttered a forbidden spell, turning himself into an enchanted, pitch black sword. The princess soon appeared afterwards, explaining that all of this was to prepare the group to fight the true evil, and that the Vazier did not kidnap her, but planned for the king to send a group worthy to face the true master of the tower. Then, lifting the sword aloft, the Princess Mew released the blade and let it impale her. The magics of the sword caused her body to turn into an enchanted sheath and open the portal to the realm of darkness.

Inside, Robert and the party faced the creator of the tower, the evil Victor Darkrai. The battle ensued, but just when the party thought victory within thier grasp, Darkrai recovered his health completely by siphoning energy from the Dark Spire itself and paralyzed the party with the exception of Robert, who was protected by the magic of the sheath. Darkrai had been storing up his power to deliver the fatal blow to the party, but when he released the blast, Robert, unsheathing the dark sword, met the attack head-on. The runes activated along the blade's length and soaked in all of the dark magic, embuing it with immense power. The soul of the vazier shattered Robert's protection spell and possessed Robert in order to use him to chant the forbidden spell of Almatria.

The powers that the sword had absorbed became purified and both sheath and blade circled Robert, sending waves of evolutionary power into him, awakening the true heroic soul that lived inside the young arcanine. The power transformed Robert from a mighty warrior Arcanine to the demigod Entei. The roar of the newly transformed Entei force-activated the teleportation pendents of his allies, sending them outside of the tower. For seven days long, both demigods, Darkrai and Entei, battled atop the evil spire. Walls of fire and dark energy encased the spire, forbidding entry or exit. On the seventh day, Robert Entei felled the evil Darkrai, and with the sorcerer's defeat, the tower crumbled into dust.

After that day, no one saw Robert ever agian, although he did survive and lived atop Valeonus Mountain, living a peaceful life and watching down over the four kingdoms as a protector of peace. However, several years later, the clash of dimensions ocurred, force-merging the dimensions together. Robert survived the merge, but found that all of the power he once had were now gone. Not only that, he had turned into a human and lost all memory of his past life. All he had left were his clothing and the sword and sheath which were the deceased Alakazam and Mew. But even with the shift, the souls of the two remained in the blade and sheath. Although the runic magics on sword and sheath were negated, the souls lived on inside of them and retained thier ability to speak to Robert telepathically.

Ever since that day, Robert has wandered the land, seeking a new life in it, as well as a reason for being. Though he remembers nothing from his past, he seeks also to find a way to regain his memory, to learn of the years that in his mind seemed like a blank page.

Personality: Blane has a delightfully offbeat and upbeat way of looking at everything. Very much a free spirit, he often listens to his heart more than his head. He’s an easygoing soul who is eager to please. His sense of loyalty is unmatched, and rubs off on his Pokemon. Blane's guilty pleasure is going down to a beach and just sitting there, relaxing with his Pokemon at his side. Blane is a very forgetful person and it takes him a long time to remember names. Blane is also very clumsy, dropping everything he touches. It took him all most 2 years to learn how to hold a Pokeball properly and how to catch it when you release the Pokemon. Blane is a very tactical fighter and he tries to find a solution for each of his Pokemon’s weakness. Blane has been classified as a genius but he hates that word. He has a photo-graphic memory and, as a result, learns very quickly. He may be a genius but he finds it hard to talk to other people and his only real friends are his Pokemon. Blane’s main ambition in life is to become a well established doctor for both People and Pokemon. His secret dream is also to make at least one friend, who he can trust. Blane get’s paranoid very easily which adds to his anti sociable behavior. Blane also has many fears which include spiders, heights, clowns and many more. However, Blane isn’t afraid of the water and his ideal home would be located right by the sea. Because of all these reasons, Blane finds it hard to find a friend who will put up with all these flaws.

Blane can clip on Pokeballs to the side of his belt, making it a lot easier to get to the spheres. Blane’s suit tends to be black with a white shirt underneath. Strangely enough, Blane always wears white sneakers which look very odd next to the rest of his outfit. Instead of a normal bag which would be placed over your shoulders, Blane carries a black briefcase, filled with clothes and a large notepad and pen which he uses to record information about the different Pokemon he sees on his travels. Blane always has a pair of reading glasses but he hates to wear them. He also has a chain with a small orb attached to the end of it which is always cold to touch.

At times, Elijah can seem like a determined kid - often getting angry when loosing or in a tough spot. However, he usually shapes up with a smile and continues until the end. He's very excitable and can often be seen running after the first thing that moves in search of an adventure. This attribute is quite helpful to all trainers he guides through the Park, as it usually results in unexpected surprises.

Trainer Character

-Name: Alaric Blythe

-Age: 20

-Gender: Male

-Personality: Alaric is a man gifted with good intelligence, but he is by no means a genius, nor was he born with unusually high intellect; he merely worked hard in school and on his memory skills. He is a steadfast man, choosing to stick with something and keep with it until the end, never being swayed form his goal. Alaric is rather friendly on most occasions, choosing to help those who need it, as well as those around him. It brings him happiness to help people around him. Also, he is very curious as to how things work and what they are made of and how, so he’ll often have something taken apart (whether by subordinates under his department, or by himself); this would be more problematic if he didn’t pay attention to how it was taken apart and tried to put it back together.

When at his job, Alaric is only a little different, but he’s very serious about his profession. He sometimes jokes, of course, to lighten the mood, but he often means what he says. Failure doesn’t sit well with him, but since he is understanding, it’s fine when someone else has a failure that has to do with something besides pure laziness and non-attentiveness. Those that do shall get a well-deserved scolding from him, as well as a suitable punishment. He’s rather lenient on punishments, though, so his subordinates don’t worry too much around him, though very few of them are lazy, because of their like for the jobs they were given; Alaric is very good at determining the best place for someone to work in his field.

When it comes to being on vacation at the National Park, he is extremely laid back and happy. Sometimes, he'll marvel over the technologies that Rangers display (rarely going so far as to ask if he could have his own to tinker with and explore how it works; he really loves his job), other times, he'll just enjoy the stroll out to meet his potential Pokemon. Since he only goes here on his vacations, he treats it as such, but if things take a more serious turn, he can instantly change attitudes to fit the situation.

-Description: Alaric is a fit, tall man, standing at 6’2’’, and weighing at about 175 lbs. He is lean and fit, not ripped, but decently muscled (not quite a six-pack, but still toned). His black hair is rather short, not exactly a buzz but, but it’s about an inch long. His skin is slightly tanned, for the years he’s spent in college outside Olivine City. He usually wears a pair of blue or black jeans for informal occasions, or black slacks for formal ones (work is obviously informal for him). On his hip, he wears a simple leather holster, containing his custom-made “O’Dwyer VLE" pistol; he only uses it for personal safety when he can't fight his way out of a dangerous situation, though, he isn't a cruel man. Black sneakers adorn his feet, for comfort while on the go, since his job is very active. He has a white tee on under a black military coat, which seems to be somewhat of a norm for his position and higher. His eyes, light brown and almond-shaped, have a friendly glow to them, but they are still very serious in these troubled times.

Hehe, I did as DoH told me to, and took and passed both the Ranger Quiz and the Ranger Test yesterday, so here's my Ranger character xD

Ranger Character

-Name: Shadow Kritols

-Age: 22

-Gender: Male

-Personality: Shadow is definitely a more laid-back, "can't surprise me" kind of person. He's been training Pokemon since he was ten, almost non-stop, so he's definitely been around the block a few times, and knows a lot of what to suspect. He's quite intelligent, but not more-so than others who have lived and prepared as long as he has; he has developed his intellect over time, as if in preparation for his life as it currently is.

He's a very friendly person, one that even complete strangers find themselves able to agree and get along with. For those who become his close friends, he develops a bond with that grows to the point that Shadow would be willing to protect and help, even at the risk of his own life. However, he would never try to do anything that could endanger another's life; things like that usually happpen at the fault of someone or something else, but never really his fault, because he is always compassionate and protective. He isn't clingy, however, since he knows he could get along fine without having to cling to any one thing or person, as well as the fact that most people could very well find that part of anyone's personality alone very annoying.

Shadow's closest companion would be noted to be that of Zella, his Gardevoir, who is always out of her Pokeball around him.

-Description: Shadow stands just under 6' in height, so he's decently tall, but he's always wanted to reach that milestone a mere half an inch taller. His hair is only a couple inches long at most, all of it given a messy-spiked look. His skin has gained a slight, but noticeable tan color, from his years of training out in the open, which he prefers. His face is best described as young, because it looks like that of a teenager (just without the acne problems). His most noticeable feature, however, would most likely be the color of his eyes: silver.

His normal Ranger clothes are a black vest over a gray T-shirt, black jeans, and black, comfortable, all-terrain shoes for the warmer months and terrains; in colder months and areas, he substitutes the vest for a warm, black thermal jacket, and the shoes for a pair of brown boots (complete with steel toe), but he keeps the jeans. He doesn't have a belt, but attached to his belt loop, he has a small, pouch for his Pokeballs. On his back is usually a black bag, like a smaller kind of backpack; inside this pack are at least two each of the Ranger items, ready if the trainer he is escorting needs to buy any.

He's a very friendly person, one that even complete strangers find themselves able to agree and get along with. For those who become his close friends, he develops a bond with that grows to the point that Shadow would be willing to protect and help, even at the risk of his own life. However, he would never try to do anything that could endanger another's life; things like that usually happpen at the fault of someone or something else, but never really his fault, because he is always compassionate and protective. He isn't clingy, however, since he knows he could get along fine without having to cling to any one thing or person, as well as the fact that most people could very well find that part of anyone's personality alone very annoying.

Shadow's closest companion would be noted to be that of Zella, his Gardevoir, who is always out of her Pokeball around him.

-Description: Shadow stands just under 6' in height, so he's decently tall, but he's always wanted to reach that milestone a mere half an inch taller. His hair is only a couple inches long at most, all of it given a messy-spiked look. His skin has gained a slight, but noticeable tan color, from his years of training out in the open, which he prefers. His most noticeable feature, however, would most likely be the color of his eyes: silver.

His normal Ranger clothes are a black vest over a white T-shirt, black jeans, and black, comfortable, all-terrain shoes for the warmer months and terrains; in colder months and areas, he substitutes the vest for a warm, red thermal jacket, the shorts for black jeans, and the shoes for a pair of brown boots (complete with steel toe). He doesn't have a belt, but attached to his belt loop, he has a small, pouch for his Pokeballs. On his back is usually a black bag, like a smaller kind of backpack; inside this pack are at least two each of the Ranger items, ready if the trainer he is escorting needs to buy any.

Yue and Luna really understand each other without words and there is no one who knows Luna better than Yue.

On her twelfth she started her journey in the great Pokémon world, leaving her parents and her forest behind as she traveled with her sister. Not long after that they split up and now she travels alone with Yue and her other Pokémons.

Discription:

He stands firm at a even 6ft and with wide shoulders that promotes his average muscularity. Titus wears a dark blue T-shirt with thin, lightblue, blue, cyan, and darker blue shapes, stripes, and zig-zags all randomly coordinated as the design of the shirt. His unzipped, light brown hoodie lightly matches his sandy cargo shorts. Personality: Okay, here we go... you'll have to excuse me for this long description. Subayai and me alike have a rather...vivid, if you will, personality.
Anyways...
Subayai is usually rather shy, if not quiet and somewhat nervous (at times) when first approached; nonetheless, if approached in a friendly way, she'll make the same impression back. Generally Subayai is quite friendly and happy of a person.

She is also usually pretty mature for her age...mostly when she's trying to make a good impression, but still. She has a calm and cautious demeanor at times, and tends to get over-emotional and/or worked up at times. But not that often.

She is, like stated, quite emotional at times--at least, she can be. She's definitely not afraid to show her emotions the majority of the time. She may freeze up a bit in panic in peril situations, but mostly if it's just something rather embarassing, like a mistake (nothing too peril). She's also pretty sensitive to what others think about her.

Despite having a short, timid demeanor and her somewhat-low self-esteem, she's usually a carefree, happy person, and likes to have fun. Also despite the fact that she may be saddened a bit easily (or shows it more easily than others), she's also the same vice-versa (with happy emotions)

Subayai can be a little headstrong sometimes, though, and at times has a short-ish-fuse--however, her temper is not "hot" in any way. Just a little short with certain people.
She's usually quite self-humble. Can be silly at times. She likes to be at least somewhat organized, too.
Subayai is also generally respectful / polite. Just part of the whole somewhat-mature-thing, and because she's been in a "pure" martial art for a couple years. *shrugs*

She can also be quite talkative once she gets to know the person well, or if they've brought up a topic she takes interest in or something.

She's also quite limber and atheletic, due to the fact that she's currently a student in traditional Tae Kwon Do--who, by the way, received her black belt a few months or so ago. She's a pretty feisty, nimble martial artist / fighter who doesn't back down easily. She does know when/how to control, though, of course.

Appearance: This hopefully shouldn't be too lengthy; after all, her personality is probably the most notable thing, in this case.

About 5'1" - 5'2"-ish, and 120 lbs or so. Moderately thin body type (mostly thin, but no one's perfect...but the bulky weight is mostly from muscle. >.>; ^^; ). Green-ish-blue-ish-hazel-like eye color, and usually wears a moderate amount of eyeliner below her eye (on/under the lashes). Self-conscious of her appearance at times, yet doesn't like to get too dressy or anything when she doesn't see the need to. Shoulder-length blue hair with blonde streaks. Rather atheletic, very flexible, and very nimble. She usually carries around a purse--which is really a little more like a bag 'cause it's just big...(Hopefully you know the kinda purses I'm talking about >.<; )--but carries around a medium-sized lime-ish green backpack with a Treecko design, due to the fact that she generally carries around a lot of stuff (Yeah, I do that, too. >-<''), and that she loves the Pokemon, Treecko. (I do. XD)
She tries to look nice the majority of the time; or at least mostly nice. Described as "pretty" and/or "cute" to most people. Nothing too out-of-the-ordinary, really.

Personality: Elle is a liar. The entire framework of her being is constructed around the fact that she hates telling straight-up truth. You ask her a question, and she will give an answer that conveys her genuine opinion, but will give that answer in such a round-about, fallacious, fabricated way that most people eat right up out of simple politeness. If it weren’t for the “Ehh?” factor in every other word out of her mouth, people wouldn’t even notice she was fibbing—and there was a period in her life during which she genuinely lied; it wasn’t pretty. As-is, people she talks to regularly have just learned not to question her; new acquaintances adapt eventually. She’s the sort of person that will eventually drive the other participant in the conversation to just smile, nod, and be confused.

Description: Elle is short, slight, and practically a walking sprite. No rhyme intended. She’s in the habit of wearing clothing that makes her look unnaturally weighed down—huge greatcoats, layers of scarves, extremely unnecessary amounts of bangles and dangly earrings… anything, really. Over all of this she drapes layer of belt upon layer of belt (in varying size, color, and shape), all of which have Pokéballs fastened down their length. This diminishes her form even further.

As to physical features… Elle tells people that she was once a redhead. This would be a lie. She was actually a golden blonde. Now, though, her hair is dyed a sable black—the sort of black that looks dull and washes out her face, not the car-oil-grease black that so many bad dye job victims seem to be sporting. Her skin might be pale, might not be; it’s hard to tell, as the only uncovered portion of her body is her face, the coloring of which, with its dark-brown (nearly black) eyes against the dark hair, looks like it belongs to a vitamin-D-deficient nerd. She generally sports a left-side-of-the-mouth smirk and crinkled eyebrows, and her forehead is particularly remarkable in that “What freakish wrinkles you have, my dear,” way.

Other than that though, Kirethidae is usually a very awkward person to be around, as he is generally quite antisocial and misanthropic. Disliking the idea of having to be accompanied by a Ranger, sometimes Kirethidae can treat any sort of human companionship with distrust and disdain.

However, Kirethidae does not rely on physical strength much at all, instead preferring his Psychic powers. Born quite a powerful psychic, Kirethidae has honed his powers over the years, training with Xieleth extensively.

Name: Drin
Age: 22
Gender: Female

Personality: Perhaps the most immediately noticable thing about Drin is her attitude. Someone who spotted Drin from a distance might think she was unintelligent or ditzy, since her face often tends to be blank. Up close, however, there's something about her that hints at more layers- skeptical, vaguely condescending layers. Drin tends to look at those around her through jade-colored glasses, with an attitude that most people are incompetent until proven otherwise.

While Drin's no extrovert, she's quite good with people. She's an accomplished liar, and can realistically pretend to be all sorts of different types of person, without many being able to catch her faking it. Generally speaking, Drin isn't actively aggressive, but she certainly doesn't have a hero(ine) complex- unless she empathizes with or likes someone she sees who is in trouble, she'll simply walk on by without helping. Drin has somewhat of a soft spot for children, but it's not that she particularly likes them, she simply is disgusted by those who pick on the weak- and hates the spectacle of mourning and fussing over any kids who are killed or injured. Of course, this soft spot mostly only extends to physical or psychological harm, she'd be more amused than annoyed if she saw someone robbing a kid.

Her true soft spot is for dog-Pokemon, of which she owns three and would love to get more. Drin would certainly rescue any dog-'mon in harm's path, and woe to those who abuse one when she's around.

When it comes to men, Drin is distinctly uninterested in the majority, although they tend to often be drawn to her, since she's rather striking. Somehow, even dressed down and trying to blend in, something about her stands out. Of course, this is no surprise to those who know her well, since Drin's rather unusual and extremely confident, and tends to carry herself more boldly than most women. While Drin currently is attempting to get a training technique related job within Team Rocket, or a sale/spying job, she's sworn off stealing, since that could sully her chances of getting the job. If she's publically recognized as a Rocket thief, after all, she can't do a job that involves getting along well with the public!

Currently, Drin's on vacation looking to expand her team and get away from her irritating Rocket partner. Thus why she's at the national park, seeking to expand her team.



Description: Drin's hair is dyed black and hangs a bit below her shoulders. She's somewhat on the tall side for a woman, at about 5'6/5'7 or so- enough to look down at the average woman of 5'3/5'4, but not unusually tall. While she rarely wears high heels since they're impractical, Drin does tend to dress well. She's not extremely girly, for the most part, but she always looks well put together, as though she shops at high-end department stores. Aside from her dyed hair, she sometimes lets her spark of youth show through by wearing something a bit more 'young'.

He is the kind of ranger that makes sure that all Pokemon that come near them are either battled or caught, depending on the trainer’s decision. He has some keen senses that can surely help the trainer wherever they are in the different outposts. Though he doesn’t suggest anything to the trainer whenever the trainer is engaged in a battle, that’s because it’s his job to make sure that the trainer does his best in capturing the Pokemon all by themselves. He also makes sure that no violations of orders will occur during the trainer’s stay at the outposts. With the help of his Pokemon, the trainer will be guided safely inside the park.

Though he doesn’t suggest anything to the trainer whenever the trainer is engaged in a battle, that’s because it’s his job to make sure that the trainer does his best in capturing the Pokemon all by themselves. He also makes sure that no violations of orders will occur during the trainer’s stay at the outposts. With the help of his Pokemon, the trainer will be guided safely inside the park.

Woo, I finally posted this! I've been putting this off for like, three days now.

Name: Stella Wilder

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Personality: Some might say that Stella is a bit of an airhead, and well, that's probably true. Don't get me wrong, she's a very intelligent and creative girl, but her head is always in the clouds. She's still a bit new to real, hardcore Pokemon training so she sometimes makes mistakes, often getting quite flustered when her errors are pointed out. She has a rather dark sense of humor, however, and can come off as a bit snarky, but she truly means well and tries to get along with most people.

Description: Stella is quite the tall little string bean at 5'9", with a lanky build that's in need of some extra body fat or muscle. Her complexion is very fair and her teal eyes are almost always narrowed in thought. Her heavily layered auburn hair falls just past her chin, and is always a bit wind blown and hanging in her eyes. She tends to wear thin cotton dresses with black leggings and heavy combat boots, and when the weather calls for it, a worn-in leather jacket with a fur collar. (Okay, it's not real fur or leather, but she's not gonna tell you that.)

Personality: Mordecai is a quiet, yet extremely intelligent person. His voice, deep and dictional, reflects this. He will more often than not be seen with a book or gadget of some sort in his hand. He talks with sophisticated tones and vocabulary and likes to know everything he can about his Pokemon, whom he spends time getting close to. In battle, he does send commands forceful enough for his Pokemon to obey him, but allows them to do what they like with those commands, so they know that he is the trainer, but they are their own selves.

He has often attempted to develop Psychic abilities or elemental powers of some sort, but has so far been unable to achieve such. He believes that Pokemon can teach him as much as he can teach them.

Description: Mordecai is somewhat tall and slender, with a sallow, slightly sunken face adorned with a gleaming pair of square glasses. His hair is jet-black and tied back in a low, short ponytail. As he realized he cannot wear his usual dark purple suit for a task like the National Park, he goes in donned in his black dress shoes, deep plum suit pants, and a gray, vertically striped, buttoned-down dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up.

He also wears a watch, which is extremely important to him. Rather than only tell time, the watch opens various hidden compartments in his shirt, shoes, and pants where he keeps his items, as he believes it tiresome to carry a bulky bag.
