Everyone seems to have a sprite showcase so I suppose I'll make one too.

I'm new to spriting, so don't be too harsh with your criticism

I think tey´re good to be your first chance. I like alot all except the Slowpokes(bro) and arbok. keep up that work!

Thanks! I can explain the Slowpoke/Bro- I accidently saved them as JPEg or something like that and messed up the colors. I guess the Arbok is just bad  Anyways, I did a couple more recolors.

The Tauros looks like it's sick, lol, and the shading on the Ursaring needs some work, like make the transition between the light and dark colors more smooth/even and maybe use a different color to show light. Other than that, I love all of your sprites. I thought the colors you use on the Arbok were quite intresting. Keep up the good work!

I decided to try a simple banner.

Yea... pretty boring, and it's kinda jagged down the middle, but I'm not sure how to fix that yet. I'll take any advice on how to improve this or future banners :classic:

It's actually not too bad for a first try. I'm not into patterns, butif you want to use one for a background, it's okay. The slant of the patter makes it unique, and is better than iif you had made it horizontal. Try to keep the text consistant with the banner. Maybe using the blue of Bulbasaur's spots intead of black. My last suggestion is to add a quick 1 px black border around the image. Overall, I like it.

Wow, D.2 complimenting a first timer's banner! You must really be good redwood, lol. Keep up the good work. I myself don't know a thing about banners.

(This is not meant to be offensive to you D.2. its just a joke  )

The sprites are pretty good. What program did you do the banner on? If it was PS then it's pretty good...If it's on Paint...I'll get back to you on that...

I put it together on paint, but then pasted it on Photoshop to tone down the brightness and other tweaks like that. Also thanks for the feedback everyone:square:

I made another one. I'm now gonna make a Squirtle banner, just to complete the set

In that case...I don't know what to say. The banner is kinda blurry...but I know you could make a nice banner on Paint or on PS. I'm not a expert on PS, so I'll leave it too the others who know about PS...
Also, I noticed you saved the banner as a Bitmap file. You should save it as Png, so it'll be less blurry.

I'm kinda forced to save as Bitmap since my computer doesn't have a PNG option, and JPEG and GIF mess it up even worse. Maybe the PNG option is there and I just can't find it, I dunno.

Sorry to double post, I'm just adding more sprites.

You know, that Arbok reminds me of Jafar in Aladdin at the end when he turn into that snake  . The Pupitar looks like it came straight out of the game, and the polis are awesome! Keep up the good work! I am also a beginner spriter.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. But since there is a stickied sprite showcase, a mod can lock this thread.
