On RBY, mine was usually:

Charizard
Hypno/Cubone
Pidgeot
Vaporeon
Raichu
Dragonite

Hah. Then, on GSC:

Noctowl
Cubone (once through to Lavender)
Ampharos
Ninetales
Umbreon
Totodile (never evolved him )
