Being the faster of the two, Rotom moved first. He concentrated a good deal of his energy into his soul. In a few moments, a golden aura emerged from within it. The golden energy soon morphed into a translucent dome, surrounding the creature. The orb would serve to halve the damage of physical attacks taken by Rotom for five actions, including the current. Happie, meanwhile, moved about energetically. He jumped from side to side, glowing a crimson-reddish color. The aura enveloped the creature fully, but only momentarily. During the short amount of time the energy had surrounded the Mankey, it had raised his attack and special attack statuses. [Mankey -7 Energy, ATK+1, SPATK+1]
Since it was ordered to use Will-O-Wisp, it managed to transform the dome into a wall instead. The golden-colored wall would still have the same effect on physical attacks. This way, the Rotom would be able to perform Will-O-Wisp. The next moment, Rotom had popped his head up above the Reflect. Its mouth opened, releasing a wave of small glowing flames. The orange embers traveled rapidly through the air, directly hitting the foe. Happie was burnt by the hot flames. [Rotom -4 Energy/Mankey BRN]
The Mankey tried his best to shake of the burning pain from Rotom's attack. He gave the creature an angry glare as he gathered his power for Assurance. A dark aura of wicked thoughts and intentions of doing harm surrounded Happie. After collecting all these thoughts and intentions for a few more moments, she charged toward the target, smacking into the wall. However, Rotom was still inflicted with some amount of damage. He was bounced back to his side of the battlefield due to the Reflect. [Rotom -4HP/Mankey -10 Energy]
As he reached his area of the grassy ground, he cringed. He felt the earlier Will-O-Wisp's pain once more. The burn status ailment damaged him internally. [Mankey -4HP]
