Woobat could see that her substitute doll wasn’t going to last for very long and so set about making her opponent’s life hard in other ways. First off, a thick, pungent liquid began to bubble up inside her body; this was a poison created from several of the bat’s bodily fluids and was very dangerous. Funnily enough, it’s supposed to be the same thing that Muk are made of. The small psychic-type spat the revolting toxin out of her mouth toward Dazmin, who was eyeing the twisted guardian suspiciously. Unfortunately, the potent venom fell short of its target and fell to the ground, where it hissed viciously on contact. Woobat fluttered nervously – her first attack had failed, hopefully it wouldn’t set the trend for the rest of the round.

Dazmi stepped anxiously around the pool of bubbling poison on the ground in front of him; that had been too close; he didn’t want to have poison sapping away at him. He focused on his rival’s guardian, knowing that any assault on Woobat would fail, and prepared to destroy it. Dark energies began to swirl around the Zorua’s nose and form a ball at the end of her snout; the orb grew to the size of a basketball before it was ready to be fired. Dazmi gave a small cry as he released the shadowy energy at the doll. It enveloped the struggling guardian, causing the audience to gasp. The darkness slowly collapsed on itself – it left no remains; the substitute was gone.

Woobat had to act quickly to stop the round from turning against her too quickly. Her first move hadn’t worked and now her substitute was gone and she had a strange feeling that this round could go the same way; the second move she had been ordered to use had an even lower success rate than the first. So she was weighed down with doubt when she commenced her second wave of attack. She was already using a form of supersonic to see where she was going but now the clicks became louder and yellow rings began to radiate from her mouth. The circles grew in size until they were filling the entire arena. Dazmi was not unaffected by these after all – the supersonic waves caused him to become confused to the point of not knowing which way was up and which was down. The round was turning to Woobat’s favour.

It was set to carry on turning. Dazmi was able to remember his orders and so began to create the maelstrom of darkness around himself. The shroud grew until the trickster was completely invisible behind the storm of red – that was when everything went wrong. The confusion took control of the Zorua’s mind, causing a lapse in focus. Because of this, he lost control over the growing attack and it collapsed on itself – and Dazmi. Shadows came crashing down and the full wrath of the storm was unleashed; the fox did scream however it was almost unheard over the sound of the shattering darkness. Only a little damage had been done but it had still hurt the dark-type. The audience were sat on the ends of their seats; the battle could go either way.
