Default Re: Diamond1304 vs Mawile_rocks [OPEN]

It was said that the legendary Zapdos used to reside in the Power Plant in east Kanto. It was true that there had been alleged sightings of the bird of thunder when the building had been abandoned but no one had seen it since it was renovated and updated so that it could power the new magnet train which ran between the cities of Saffron and Goldenrod. However, that wasn’t enough to deter some, who travelled from all over to visit in an attempt to catch a glimpse of it.

One of these hunters was creeping through the building when she saw someone approaching her from the other end of the tunnel. Thinking that it was one of the plant’s guards, she ducked through one of the doorways and into what seemed to be a control room. She also took a poké ball from her bag and released the frozen beast within; a white creature with a round head and oval-shaped blue eyes appeared, hovering above the metal floor. With a gesture, Diamond1304, the trainer, got the Vanillite to freeze the door shut as the footsteps approached. The sound stopped and the handle turned; the ice kept the door from opening, which seemed to frustrate whoever was trying to open it.

Eventually there was a bestial roar from the corridor and the door was smashed off its hinges. A beast of rock with a head covered in metal spikes charged into the room bellowing. Behind him strode his trainer, Mawile_rocks, who was a guard and did not take kindly to people breaking into his building. She motioned her pokémon forward, ready to punish the trespasser.

But Luke, the Vanillite, wasn’t going to lay down and let his trainer be harmed – if nothing else he could serve as a distraction and allow her to get away. For now, they were going to fight tooth and claw so that they didn’t get stopped by this guard, even if her pokémon seemed to be stronger. The frozen dessert pokémon knew that the odds were stacked against him and that he would have to work hard if he wanted to defeat this behemoth of rock. The air around the ice-type froze as she focused on cooling everything down; her frozen chrysalis reflected the flashing lights of the LEDs around her. Then the shell expanded and shattered, shards of ice flew everywhere, caught in a storm over which Luke had complete control. Rocky growled as the ice hit him – he knew the storm wouldn’t last for long and that he could hit this puny Vanillite hard enough that his weather-changing antics wouldn’t make the slightest bit of difference in the long run.

The Aggron’s claw glinted in the green light as he inspected it to make sure it was sharp enough for his attack; when he was convinced, he pressed it against the wall and charged at his opponent, bellowing his name as he went. His claw grated against the wall, making sparks fly and the causing the claw to glow and heat up. Luke was helpless as the monster bore down on him. The claws raked his side and sent shockwaves of pain coursing through his body. The Vanillite looked up at his merciless attacker, anger clear in his eyes. He had to stop this – the question was how?

Unfortunately, he didn’t have long to think it over before his assailant was charging at him once again with fire in his eyes and a shout in his mouth. The glowing claw filled the Vanillite’s vision for the second time as he stared hopelessly at the Aggron. By some freak chance, or Rocky’s incredible accuracy, the attack hit the same place as the cuts that had been inflicted by the last attack. Luke screamed in agony as the pain wracked through him; he had never felt something that hurt so much before. However, he did at least have a plan now.

White energy enveloped the Vanillite as he focused on the pain he was now feeling. He watched the Aggron, his eyes burning with hate and rage; he had to bring down this pokémon or it would all be over. With a scream of rage, he rushed at Rocky, who stood ready to meet him. Cloaked in his armour of snow, the ice cream hit the boulder-eating monster in the chest; unfortunately, he more-or-less absorbed the attack, taking only a little damage. On the other hand, Luke was exhausted after spending so much energy on that burst. He stared at the beast he was facing with horror – what would it take to bring him down?
