Default Re: OPEN; SLC vs Tsuna

The winding path up to the top of Mount Gerdo, located on one of the islands near the ASB’s main complex, is guaranteed to make even the most experienced hiker exhausted. The road was both long and difficult, disappearing completely in some places, yet people still used it to climb the mountain and look at the fantastic views that could be seen from the summit.

Tsuna stopped to have a look around; he was about half-way up the mountain and had reached what seemed to be a battlefield. As there was no one else around, he took a seat on one of the nearby boulders to take short rest before carrying on with the hike. Then someone jumped out at him from behind a rock and nearly gave him a heart attack. He quickly realised that this was another trainer and that he would probably have to battle him if he wanted to continue to the summit; sure enough, the other trainer took his place at one side of the field of boulders and gestured for him to take his own. The trainer, who introduced himself as SLC, then sent out his Kingdra to battle; she swam up and down the shallow stream while watching to see what she would be up against in this battle. Tsuna then chose his pokémon; his Swoobat burst forth from its poké ball and fluttered around the arena – she was ready to go.

Round One

Tsuna

Swoobat (F)

HP: 100%

Before the fluffy bat could begin, she needed to power herself up a bit so that she could hit harder and not be hit as hard. A calm, pink aura surrounded her as she perched on a boulder and closed her eyes in order to focus on increasing her strength. She felt her mind sharpen and her power levels rise. When she felt that she had spent enough time on building her power, she spread her wings and lifted into the air once again; she would be fine for the battle as long as her opponent didn’t start physically hitting her.

Unfortunately, that seemed to be exactly what El Maremoto was going to do. The dragon turned to look at the hovering bat and glared at her with eyes that were glowing red. Swoobat was surprised and frightened by the leering seahorse and scampered away from it; the shock had rattled her a little and her defences had been affected badly. Hopefully the dragon wouldn’t try to come after her for a little while so that she could regain her confidence first.

Despite not being all too confident, Swoobat knew that she needed to start knocking her opponent down a peg or two. Her wings began to glow light blue as she flapped them harder and harder, so that more air was displaced with each beat. Then she began to direct the displaced air at Maremoto; blades of energy, the same colour as her wings, carried the air so that it struck the dragon across her narrow chest. She screamed and curled up as the blades smashed into her, leaving bruises as they did; she had forgotten about everything else but defending herself from this onslaught. By the time she had stopped whimpering and looked up again, it was too late to attack – she’d missed her chance.
