[ImmaMermaid] Dratini (F)
Condition: Hopeful, sort of
Moves: Dragon Dance
Looking up at her big, scary opponent, ImmaMermaid knew that she would have to get a few power boosts under her belt before even trying another attack. Draconic fury rose from her subconscious to take over her mind, guiding her into a strange dance. The serpent began to writhe as if in agony, kicking up a spray of sand around her. Blue flames poured from her mouth, creating an aura of fire. Dusknoir watched the twisting dragon, wondering if something was wrong with her – she seemed to be in pain. But ImmaMermaid was feeling a sudden surge of power course through her. This was what she had needed. Now she felt ready to go up against this ghost and any other poor fool that tried to get in her way.
Dusknoir seemed a little intimidated by this, although he wouldn’t have admitted it. He quickly decided that he needed to create something which could stand between himself and this dragon to stop it from attacking him directly. Dipping down so that he could reach the sand, he began to mould it into the shape of his own body. ImmaMermaid narrowed her eyes. What was the Dusknoir thinking? There was no way she would fall for a simple trick like that. Then, closing his eye, the spectre placed one of his hands on the sand’s “head.” Life force flowed from the creator to his created, causing the doll’s eye to open. Dratini moved back a little when the sand began to levitate, taking place next to its maker. She grimaced but wasn’t too worried – it was easy to tell the difference between them.
She wanted to attack. She wanted to give Dusknoir a taste of her newfound power, but her trainer had ordered otherwise. He wanted her to go on the defensive for the time being, which the Dratini thought was ridiculous. She wasn’t scared of this ghost no matter how scary he tried to make himself. Nevertheless, orders were orders and she wasn’t going to start trying to argue with them. She threw up a glittering blue shield between herself and the pair of Dusknoir. She focused on this wall, strengthening it where it seemed to need strengthening and making sure that it was powerful enough to shrug off whatever her opponent threw at it – not that she was expecting anything much.
Blue fire, similar to the sort that had wreathed Dratini earlier, flared up around the reaper, that’s the real one by the way. He grinned as the flames intensified, knowing that they couldn’t harm him. Pushing off his clone, he shot towards ImmaMermaid like a rocket. The dragon was surprised by the speed and power of his attack. Although he collided with the shield, he continued to strain against it, his single eye fixed on ImmaMermaid. The Dratini edged backwards, terrified by her assailant; he was more scary than she’d thought. Just as she was beginning to wonder if her shield would be able to hold him back, Dusknoir decided that he’d had enough and floated back to his companion. His glowing, red eye found his prey and he rubbed his hands together, thinking of all the ways he could hurt her when the time came.
