Default Re: Diamond1304 vs Mawile_rocks

With a little sigh, Diamond recalled Luke to his poké ball. Rocky was still standing string despite his ice-type’s best efforts. Even worse was the fact that his opponent still had another battler which he’d have to beat before winning. Things were seeming pretty hopeless. However, he wasn’t going to give up that easily. A second poké ball appeared in his hand and he tossed it onto one of the switchboards. It hit one of the buttons, making the lights flicker and then turn off. A flash of light briefly illuminated the room as the ball split open and a small, white rodent scurried out over the controls. The light faded away and the battlers as well as their trainers were left completely in the dark.

Rocky wasn’t going to let a little bit of darkness stop him. He needed to be ready to stop whatever attack this new opponent tried to throw at him. Putting a hand on the nearby wall to steady himself, he tried to focus on the dark air in front of his horn. A small amount of blue energy appeared there, spreading out quickly. However, just as the shield was beginning to build itself, the Aggron forgot what he was doing. The hand which he had placed on the wall suddenly slipped and he fell heavily to the ground, causing a loud thud. Evan turned his head to see what was happening. He couldn’t see a thing, of course, but that was beside the point. Rocky sat on the ground, clutching his head; this had to stop soon.

While the metal monster struggled to his feet, Evan decided that he’d get to work. He’d seen a blue light a moment ago and guessed that it must have been made by Aggron, so he would definitely be near to that spot. As he scampered along the desk, jumping over the buttons and switches that were in the way, his tail flicked from side to side eagerly. He reached the place where he thought that Rocky had been and swept his tail in a wide circle. It slapped the behemoth across the face as he was stumbling to his feet. It didn’t hurt him much but the soft fur did tickle him and make him sneeze, which scared Evan and made him leap back in fear. Rocky glared in his direction before shuffling away a bit to take him out of range of any other attacks being planned.

Meanwhile, Evan looked around trying to find a mud-like substance to use for his next attack. Unfortunately, the staff at the power plant are sure to keep it meticulously clean so there wasn’t even enough dust to make a useful substitute. The Minccino sighed and sat down on the desk; there was nothing she could do now except sit and wait.

However, Rocky wasn’t just going to wait for something to happen. His horns began to glow white and he lowered his head so that they were pointing towards Evan. The Minccino saw them; they looked like demon’s eyes in the surrounding darkness. She whimpered and curled herself up into a tight ball, hoping desperately that they’d just go away. Rocky bellowed and charged. He smashed through the control panels and collided with Evan, knocking him to the floor. The chinchilla wailed as he fell; he was badly hurt by that. He needed to stop the brute quickly. Just then, the lights flickered back on again. It seemed that Rocky had managed to turn them back on when he attacked. The two pokémon straightened up, circling each other. Both had been badly hurt – it was still anyone’s guess as to who would be the first to fall.
