Sand-Attack ~ Dig ~ Bite

Layola wasted no time with her crocodillian foe. She lifted her leaf-like arms, forming a small sphere of green, glowing energy between them. The sphere grew and grew, until it was larger than a basketball. Layola would have smiled at Krokorok's anxious expression, had she had a mouth. Layola threw the ball of energy at Krokorok, letting it feel the power of grass. Krokorok let out a howl as the Energy Ball exploded over her. She definitely felt the power of grass now. She felt something else - weakened. Her guard was not as strong as before, which, with the amount of pain this attack had put her in, was going to be a problem.
[Energy Ball: Layola, -7% Energy; Krokorok, -22% HP]

Krokorok was not happy about this. She glared at Layola, deciding to make the plant-being writhe. She reached down and scooped up a handful of dirt out of the ground below her, and then tossed it at Layola's face with the skill of a baseball pitcher. Layola gasped inwardly as the sand stung into her eyes, making green-tinted tears swim to the surface. She shook her head and managed to clear most of the sand, but not all. She squinted at Krokorok, whom she could tell was grinning, but whose edges were also blurring hazily.
[Sand Attack: Layola, -1 ACC; Krokorok, -2% Energy]

Layola, teary-eyed and slightly frustrated, glared at Krokorok the best she could. She shook her body, shivering and shaking. Several flakes of dark-green began to fall off of the petals on her head. As these spores collected in the air, Layola clapped her arms together, making a breeze that carried the spores toward Krokorok. However, Layola had made a misjudgment in her aim. Krokorok was easily able to sidestep the attack. All the way to her petals, Layola seethed with frustration.
[Sleep Powder: Layola, -4% Energy]

Krokorok was more than happy to be the one not frustrated. She was, in fact, possibly about to gain the upper hand in this struggle. She began to claw at the dirt again, but this time with the full intent of breaking it. She began to scoop clod after clod of the soil, burrowing deeply underground. Layola stared at the hole Krokorok had left, wondering where....

BAM!

Krokorok surged up from the soil, flying past Layola and raking the majestic plant with her claws on the way by. Layola whirled around, seething with rage. Krokorok seemed to be giving Layola a Razz-Berry.
[Dig: Layola, -11% HP; Krokorok, -7% Energy]

Saraibre Ryu decided that her Pokemon had had enough. She obtained a Pokeball from the Ranger, and threw it with the same skill that Krokorok had thrown sand with. The ball whirled past Layola and smacked Krokorok on the snout before absorbing her.

However, the absorption did not last long. Krokorok was out of that Pokeball in a jiffy - just another problem on Layola's growing list of problems.
[Ball - Failed]

Krokorok was ready for revenge - not on the human, but on her botanical representative. Krokorok lunged, jaws open, and bit down hard on Layola's leg/skirt/dress. Layola squealed, smacking Krokorok as hard as she could to get the teeth off of her. Krokorok retreated, smirking, licking the taste of petals and plant-matter off of her teeth. Layola wanted to moan. This was just ridiculous!
