Fire And Ice
Frozen over, hard and cold I was.
The frosted surface of my heart, unbreakable.
No fire could hope to warm, melt nor crack this abomination.
Yet you proved it all wrong, by removing this ice.
Firstly, a scratch on the surface, blemishing the icy texture.
Then the water began to slowly drip away, removing layer after layer.
Cracks branched over and within this frozen body.
Until finally, it split, revealing the beating and warm heart inside.
Only for your fire will the ice melt, your fire that blazes ever so strong.
No ice water to put it out, for you burn hotly to evaporate it.
You don't want me to return to my frozen form and I don't either.
Hold me in your warm and loving embrace, hold me tight.
I was lost in a frozen Hell, encased in a glacial tomb.
Thank you for releasing me, saving my soul.
Together now we shall shine forever, burning bright.
Forever shall I smile now, as an eternal light.
From your fire, an unthinkable feat has been accomplished.
The unbreakable, broken and shattered.
A distant memory now, but not forgotten.
The cold shall always be remembered, but never missed.
As long as you're by my side to keep me warm, I will survive.
For as long as you burn within me, shall I burn within you.
The unbreakable ice was no match for the invincible fires.
Thank you for showing me another way, illuminated and warm...
Forever shall I cherish this fiery form.
