You decide to investigate in the only way you know how; flinging open the nearest door with dramatic flair as you hold your weapon high. You realize this is a bad idea when the first thing you encounter is made if metal. Shooting it just got its attention, which is a bad thing you've learned. This particular robot is a Protectron; human sized and with two arms and legs, big and slow moving. They also don't have a rotating head, just a glass dome on a stalk with lights inside. You also remember they have strong lasers that gave you a nasty scar on your arm last time you ran in to one of them.
"HOSTILE TARGET DETECTED. LAW ABIDING CITIZENS PLEASE STAND CLEAR OF COMBAT ZONE," the machine droned in a monotone. Your second shot managed to crack the glass on the thing's head... but that didn't do much. Now the lasers whizzing towards you were split like a shotgun blast, and getting hit by the three that did get you hurt. A lot. Just as bad as you remember from Brooklyn. Maybe you can get around the thing or something... or just run away until you get some better weaponry. But then, destroying the thing would probably net you some energy cells for that laser pistol you picked up. You really wish you hadn't left your Gauss Rifle back in Brooklyn with the sister.
