Spinel nodded. She looked at all of the starters. They were all great Pokemon, but she already knew exactly which one she wanted. She walked over to the table.

"I'd like to partner with Totodile."



The Totodile on the table seemed enthusiastic about being chosen and quickly jumped up and into Spinel's arms. The young woman chuckled as she held the water-type. She then held the crocodile out in front of her, getting a good look at her new partner.

"I'm going to name you Ren. How does that sound?" Totodile seemed extremely happy with the new name, which was the reaction Spin was going for.
