Dude. That's awful.
But I think you could pull a seriously funny joke. Go to a nearby gamestop or other store that sells new and used games. Tell them you bought Diamond from them the other day, and you were told it would play. But when you tried putting it in the DS it wouldn't work.
You'll need to keep a perfectly straight face the whole time.
