There's no date yet. It was announced: "Unique pre-sell styluses featuring new Pokemon from the new series will be available by reserving the game early at participating retailers." But no date or further details were revealed yet, so we just have to wait and see. I'll have it in the news when there's further information on that.

That's 5 million copies in 3 months. Which of course, is huge sales. Hard to say what the numbers will be for the US, but considering Pokemon Emerald, the last major Pokemon game, was the second best selling game of any console game in 2005, I would imagine Diamond/Pearl would be a hit as well.
