~Chapter 1~

The little town of Pallet rested peacefully under the night sky full of glittering stars. The moon shone a brilliant white and lit up the sky. In one particular house, 13-year-old Lilly Waters slept in her bed, dreaming about the adventures that awaited her the next day. She was finally going to begin her Pokemon journey in the Kanto Region.

Pokemon are a series of creatures with many different sizes and features. They poccess great power and travel along with trainers, battling it out against other Pokemon. Pokemon and humans have grown in peace along side each other in this amazing world.

But, not all Pokemon worked with humans. Wild Pokemon live with nature and attack when least expected. In order to tame these wild beasts, trainers require the use of a PokeBall. PokeBalls are small circular units which are colored red on the top half and white on the bottom half.

PokeBalls are used by throwing them into the air at a weakened Pokemon. If the button on the middle of the ball is pressed, the ball will open and the Pokemon will be sucked inside. PokeBalls also hold the Pokemon trainers have already captured and are currently training to become the best that they can be and Lilly was about to go out and do exactly that.

~

The alarm clock on Lilly's bedside table now said that is was seven in the morning. A harsh beeping noise loudly blared from the speaker and drifted into Lilly's ears. A moan sounded from under the lumpy pile of blankets and an arm stretched out and pushed a button on the digital clock.

The hump of sheets began to move around and a head popped out at the head of the bed. Lilly, yawning, sat up and stretched. She leaped out of the bed and dragged her heels to the other side of the room to change from her pajamas to a gray T-shirt, blue jeans with a brown belt attached, and a pair of white socks.

After getting dressed, Lilly left the room, passed the door to her parents’ room where her dad was snoring at an unbelievable volume, and crossed the hall to the bathroom. She looked into the mirror to see a median skinned face with hazel eyes and took grip of a comb to brush her short blond hair that reached to her shoulders and then grabbed a tooth brush to clean her white sparkling teeth.

Lilly then walked down the wooden staircase to reach the first floor of her home and walk through the arch in the wall to the kitchen. Her mother, dressed in a beautiful blue gown and an apron, was cooking a breakfast of eggs and bacon over the stove.

Mrs. Waters had medium colored skin, just like Lilly, but had crystal eyes and brown hair, held up in a tight bun. She took a firm grip on the handle and walked across the kitchen to where Lilly was sitting at the table and poured a portion of scrambled eggs and placed a few strips of bacon on her plate.

While Lilly ate her breakfast, Mr. Waters walked into the kitchen. His short brown hair was a mess and he was wearing a white T-shirt with blue jeans and no socks. He had gruff whiskers covering his chin and the area between his nose and mouth. He grabbed a mug and poured himself some of the coffee Mrs. Waters had prepared for him.

~

A couple of hours had passed, and Lilly found herself up on the second floor, in her bedroom, preparing to leave on her Pokemon Journey. She had a yellow bag in the corner of her room which she filled with spare clothing and some emergency supplies her mother had prepared her. Mrs. Waters worked at the Pallet Town Hospital downtown.

After packing up, Lilly walked over to the closet door by her dresser in which she stored her clothes. She opened the door. The closet was crammed with dolls the shape of Pokemon and clothing that she wore during other seasons. She grabbed the yellow jacket that hung from the bar on the ceiling of the closet and put it over her shirt and slipped on the white shoes that were on the floor.

All ready to go, Lilly slipped the bag onto her shoulders and met her parents in the living room. Her father was fully dressed now in a light blue business shirt with a neck tie hanging over his front and black pants. His hair was now neat and gleaming in the sunlight. Her mother had tears rolling down her face. It was hard for Lilly to face her.

Mr. Waters patted Lilly on the shoulder and told her to take care and gave her good luck to her journey. Sobbing, Mrs. Waters hugged her daughter around the shoulders and didn't speak. Lilly knew she meant to say good-bye and so she replied with her own.

With their good-byes, Lilly turned around and faced the front door that would lead her to her destiny as a Pokemon trainer. She stepped ahead, took one last glance at her parents, and walked out the door.

It seemed like a bad thing to leave them, worrying about her, but Lilly really wanted to do this. She wasn't a little child anymore and they should realize that she can hold her own out there in the wild. Her Pokemon would also be there to support and protect her from danger.

Lilly walked down the dirt covered roads of Pallet Town and passed the many small houses that sat on the edges of the few streets that covered her little town that she called home. But now she had to leave it. She was heading to the biggest of them all; Professor Oak's Pokemon Laboratory.

Professor Oak was a famous Pokemon researcher well known around the world. He also gave new trainers their Pokemon liceanse and set them out with their very first Pokemon. New trainers could choose from three Pokemon; Bulbasaur, a Grass-and-Poisonous type Pokemon, Charmander, a Fire type Pokemon, and Squirtle, a Water type Pokemon.

Bulbasaur was very unique in Lilly's opinion since it had two types instead of one which gave it different strengths and weaknesses than Pokemon that only had one. It looked like a tiny blue dinosaur that stood stable on four squat legs and had a plant bulb that grew on its back since birth.

Charmander, the Fire Pokemon, was a Pokemon that had the traits of both a lizard and a dragon. It had a tiny orange flame that flickered on its short tail. This flame was like a lifeline to Charmander. It would die if its flame ever would go out. Lilly knew that it would be a very strong partner when it would evolve to its full evolution stage.

The last of the three was Squirtle, the Water Pokemon. It looked like a blue cute little turtle that stood on its hind legs. Its red colored shell gave it increadible defense. But its cuteness didn't fool Lilly. Water attacks can be very powerful, especially in you are fighting a battle against a Fire-type Pokemon like Charmander.

With the thoughts of the three starting Pokemon choices in her head, Lilly made it to Professor Oak's Pokemon Laboratory in what seemed no time at all. She gazed, admirably, at the great building that overshadowed Pallet Town. A sign by the shining glass doors read "Professor Oak's Pokemon Laboratory".

Lilly walked up the cement staircase and slid open the doors. She walked in on a clear silver tiled floor and looked around. Many Pokemon were walking around the room and mechanical arms were either working computers, selecting PokeBalls to put onto a conveyor belt, and many other things. It seemed that the entire building was being run by machines and other technological equipment.

On the other side of the room, an old gray haired man in a long white lab coat sat at a desk, bent over a pile of papers. Lilly knew this man. He lived with her next door neighbors and visited a lot. Her father was very great friends with him. This man had started Mr. Waters on his Pokemon journey. He was Professor Oak, himself.

Lilly walked across the silver room, gazing at all the machinery and equipment Professor Oak had collected over the years and then approached Professor Oak, himself. He looked up from his work and looked Lilly over and then got up and led Lilly to another room.

This room was very similar to the room they had been in before. In the middle of the room was a silver table that was covered by a glass dome. Professor Oak walked up to it and pressed a button and the glass slid open. He then picked up the three PokeBalls that sat inside the dome and opened them.

In three flashes of white light Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle appeared on the floor. Professor Oak introduced them and then asked Lilly which one she would choose. Lilly bent down and observed each of the Pokemon. She was finally seeing them for real instead of just in a book. They looked so much better in real live. It was hard for her to choose.

After a few minutes she finally shood up and declared that she was choosing the Fire Pokemon, Charmander. Professor Oak smiled and walked over to the table where he had placed the PokeBalls and picked up Charmander's ball. He aimed the button at the orange lizard and a red beam of light flashed from the ball and Charmander disappeared into the ball.

Professor Oak placed Charmander's PokeBall into Lilly's hands and told her to take good care of it and to make friends with it. Lilly promised that she would and then Professor Oak walked back to the other room, Lilly following him. He walked over to the desk he was sitting at and picked up a small red unit.

The item was rectangular and had a green flashing light on the top left corner. He pushed a small triangular button and the flap flipped open. Many small buttons were on the inside of the device and a blank screen flashed to show a picture of Lilly's face. Professor Oak closed it again and placed it in Lilly's other hand.

He explained that it was her Pokemon Trainer License and that all she has to do is show it to anyone who wants to see her license. It was also known as a PokeDex, a very useful device that gave the information needed on any of the discovered Pokemon. Lilly thanked Professor Oak and he escorted her back outside.

They now stood on the outskirts of Pallet Town. Lilly was very excited. She had never left Pallet Town before and she was about to go on a Pokemon journey. Professor Oak handed Lilly a folded sheet of paper. Lilly unfolded it and saw a map of the Kanto region. Professor Oak told her to use it whenever she got lost.

He then left to go back to the Pokemon Lab, leaving Lilly with her thoughts. She would miss Pallet Town but vowed to soon return when she met her dream of becoming a Pokemon Master. Lilly turned around and looked forward, to the adventures with Pokemon that awaited her.

A good start although it's very cliche. Remember to give Lily a history. A few spelling errors. Otherwise its good, keep it going.

~Chapter 2~

Lilly Waters has finally gotten her Pokemon lisense from Pallet Town's Professor Oak. She also recieved her very first Pokemon, the Fire type Charmander and has left to meet her dream of becoming a Pokemon Master by traveling around the Kanto region, gather Pokemon partners and beating other trainers in Pokemon Battles.

~

Lilly, our 13-year-old female hero, was walking down a dirt path, kicking stones with her white shoes. She had been on her Pokemon journey for almost two hours now and was begining to get tired of walking for so long. Wondering when she would arrive in Viridian City, Lilly sat down in the shade of a giant tree.

She looked up at the clear sky. Being a Pokemon trainer was very tiring and she hadn't even seen a wild Pokemon. Lilly grabbed a red-and-white PokeBall and detached it from her brown belt. She decided to let Charmander out for some exercise so she tossed the ball into the air.

The PokeBall landed on the ground and opened. In a flash of white light, the orange lizard that was Lilly's Charmander appeared. The ball bounced off the ground into Lilly's hand and she attached the ball back to her belt. She smiled at Charmander and introduced herself. Charmander blinked and looked around.

Lilly wondered what was bothering Charmander. It turned its head to survey Lilly and then opened its mouth. A spew of tiny flickers shot out of Charmander's mouth toward Lilly. Lilly rolled over to dodge the Ember attack and scolded Charmander for attack its trainer.

Charmander didn't like how Lilly was treating it. It turned around and ran off. Lilly grabbed the yellow bag she had placed on the ground, hitched it over her shoulders, and ran after her Charmander. After a few minutes, Lilly began to lose sight of Charmander.

A rustling sound drifted into the air. Lilly looked in the direction of the sound just in time to see Charmander run through some tall grass. Lilly ran up to the grass. Up close, the grass was much taller that Lilly but she ran inside and began to search for Charmander again. There was more rustling and Lilly guessed that it was Charmander.

Pushing the grass out of the way, Lilly followed the sound of the rustling, hoping to find Charmander in the process. The rustling was getting louder. Lilly sped up to a run and suddenly tripped over something. She landed on her knees and hands, turned around, and began searching for whatever she had tripped over.

Lilly soon found it. On the ground in the grass was a curly dark purple tail. Following the short tail with her eyes, Lilly found an entire dark purple body in the shape of a small rat with big eyes and a pair of long whiskers. Wondering what is was, Lilly took out the small red PokeDex Professor Oak had given her.

A picture of the rat appeared on the small screen. Words began to appear as if Lilly was typing them on a computer and then ended. Lilly read down the information to find out that the rat was a Normal type Pokemon called a Rattata. The PokeDex also said that Rattata were very vicious if attacked.

Frightened, Lilly jumped as the rat shifted and stood up. It growled at Lilly and bared its sharp teeth. Lilly backed away but was too slow. Rattata leaped into the air and bit into Lilly's left hand. Lilly shrieked in pain. Charmander must've heard Lilly because it suddenly emerged from the tall grass and tackled Rattata off the ground.

Lilly's hand was bleeding where Rattata had bit her. The skin was beginning to turn a very dark combination of red and purple and swell. This seemed to anger Charmander. It glared at Rattata. Rattata seemed to back away but Charmander opened its mouth. It used an Ember attack with scorched Rattata and it collapsed on the ground.

Rattata seemed to get over the attack easily and was soon back on its feet. It dashed through the grass and slammed into Charmander with a Quick Attack. Charmander jumped aside and Rattata bounded backward. They both stared at eachother with fire burning in their eyes.

Rattata was the first to strike. It jumped at Charmander and bit its arm with a Hyper Fang attack. Charmander slashed at Rattata with its sharp claws to knocked Rattata off but it kept its grip. It growled in pain and Rattata go and then attacked with a Tackle attack, sending Charmander flying.

Charmander landed on the ground and lowered its head and ran toward Rattata. The force of Charmander's Headbutt attack caused Rattata to collapse and faint. Lilly congratulated Charmander on its win and Charmander danced in victory. Then, she took out an empty PokeBall from her belt and threw it with her right hand.

The PokeBall flew through the air toward the knocked out form of Rattata. It hit Rattata on the head and opened up. In a flash of red light, Rattata disappeared into the PokeBall. The ball closed and landed on the ground and began to wobble, with Rattata's attempts to escape capture.

The ball suddenly stopped wobbling and the red light on the center of the PokeBall turned to white. Rattata had been captured. Lilly leaped in the air in joy and picked up the PokeBall that contained the first Pokemon she had ever caught in her entire life. Charmander smalled at the PokeBall that now held its new friend.

Lilly and Charmander walked out of the tall grass together and saw on the edge of the river that flowed throughout Route 1, the path between Pallet Town and Viridian City. Lilly tossed Rattata's PokeBall into the air. It landed on the ground and opened. In a flash of white light, Rattata appeared, panting harshly.

The PokeBall returned to Lilly's hand and Lilly reattached it to her belt. Rattata layed down to rest in the soft sand. Charmander walked up to Rattata and patted it on the back. The too sat side by side and began to talk to each other. Lilly watched on happily, wishing she could understand what they were saying.

~

That night, Lilly opened her bag and took out and unrolled a red fluffy sleeping bag and a small white pillow on the grass under the giant tree she sat under that afternoon. She looked around and saw a tree in the distant that was growing a bunch of beautiful red apples, shining in the starlight.

Lilly, Charmander, and Rattata walked over to the tree and picked some apples to eat. With an armful of apples, Lilly and her two Pokemon walked back to the tree where Lilly's sleeping bag sat. They sat together under the tree and ate the apples.

While Charmander and Rattata fell asleep, Lilly got up and walked to the river to wash her face and hands. After freshening up, Lilly took off two PokeBalls from her belt and returned Charmander and Rattata in a couple of flashes of red beams. Reattaching the balls, Lilly crawled into her sleeping bag and stared into the night sky.

Lilly had now been out on her Pokemon journey for almost a whole day. She wondered what was happening at home with her parents and hoped that they weren't too worried around her. A tear trickled down her face as she thought of her parents. But Lilly soon fell into a deep sleep.

~

The sun rose over Route 1 and creeped across Lilly's face. The beam struck her eyes and she opened them. Yawning, Lilly crawled out of her sleeping bag and looked around. It was another clear sunny day. A few Pidgey flew overhead. Lilly rolled up her sleeping bag and packed it away in her bag.

Taking out the PokeBalls that contained her Pokemon, Lilly called out Charmander and Rattata and they ate a breakfast of apples from the tree they had eaten apples from before. Lilly was glad that Charmander was now her friend. It must have just took a little while for Charmander to get used to the fact that it had a new trainer.

After eating breakfast, Lilly and her two Pokemon continued on. They began searching for more wild Pokemon to capture but couldn't find any. Suddenly, Charmander pointed ahead. Lilly looked up and saw sparkling buildings in the distance. They had finally arrived to Viridian City.

One spelling error is poccess (should be possess) in line 3 of chapter 1, i saw others but i couldn't be bothered checking for them. Cliche means a very predictable or unoriginal thing. So far all your ideas have been used before. AAOAL is very cliche (pronounced klee-shay) because it follows the story line of the game very closely, but I try to vary it. Throw in some original ideas, a plot twist here and there and that will make yours original. but as long as your having fun writing it, thats the important thing!

~Chapter 3~

Lilly had left Pallet Town to begin her Pokemon journey after getting her first Pokemon and trainer license from Professor Oak. During the first day of her journey, she caught her first wild Pokemon, a Rattata. The next day, they soon arrived to Viridian City, the next stop on Lilly's Pokemon journey.

~

Alongside her two Pokemon, Lilly walked down the sloping path to the gate of Viridian City. She looked in awe at the giant buildings of the new city. In the center of the center of Viridian City, Lilly found the big red roofed Pokemon Center. She walked through the sliding glass doors and saw the room crammed with Pokemon trainers.

Lilly looked around at the trainers sharing information, showing off their Pokemon, and eating. She walked past a couple of trainers talking about the Viridian City Pokemon Gym and decided to check it out after letting her Pokemon rest. At the counter, Lilly was a woman a few years older than her with red hair pinned in two loops.

The woman was a person found in every Pokemon Center. She healed the wounds of any trainer's Pokemon and gave trainers rooms to stay in and she went by the name of Nurse Joy. Lilly returned Charmander and Rattata to their PokeBalls in two flashes of red light and placed them on the desk.

She told Nurse Joy to just give them rest. As Nurse Joy took the PokeBalls, she noticed the gnash on Lilly's left hand left from Rattata. She opened a drawer on the counter and pulled out bandage wrap and wrapped up Lilly's wounded hand with it. Nurse Joy told Lilly to make sure it wouldn't bleed too much and took Lilly's PokeBalls away.

Lilly walked into the trainer's lounge and sat down on a comfortable red couch made for three. She hoped Charmander and Rattata would be in fighting shape soon so they would be ready for a gym match. In the corner of the room were a couple of pay phones. Lilly walked over to the phones and payed the fifty cents and dialed her home number.

After a couple of rings, the call was answered by Lilly's mother. She was dressed in her usual blue night gown and had her brown hair in curlers. Mrs. Waters looked happy to see her daughter. Lilly told her all about her first day as a Pokemon trainer and where she was.

Mrs. Waters listened in interest and then, Lilly's father appeared on the screen. He greeted Lilly and hoped everything was going well on Lilly's Pokemon journey. Lilly told him that she caught a Pokemon on Route 1. Mr. Waters was glad to hear that and said that he hoped Lilly would become as good a trainer as he was.

Nurse Joy walked up to Lilly and told her that her Pokemon were healed and gave her the PokeBalls that contained her Pokemon and walked back to the counter. Lilly opened the PokeBalls and show her parents her Charmander and Rattata. They said good bye and hung up. Lilly hung up the phone and turned to her Pokemon.

She asked them if they were ready for a gym match and they smiled in reply. Lilly returned them to their balls with the red beam and then got up to leave. She walked out of the Pokemon Center and looked around Viridian City for the Pokemon Gym. Viridian City was a very big town and Lilly couldn't find her way around.

Finally, Lilly come to a big long building that had a sign beside the arch that read "Viridian City Pokemon Gym". She walked up to the door and opened it. Inside was a long hall that ended with a huge door that depicted a Nidoking and Nidoqueen fighting eachother. Seeing this, Lilly began to wonder if she was ready for this.

Nevertheless, Lilly pushed through the door and entered a huge room that looked like an arena. On one side of the room was a Rhydon and on the other side of the arena was a Nidoking. The leader, sitting on a raised platform, was hidden by shadow.

The other trainer was dress in a purple shirt and brown pants. He had spiky brown hair and a PokeBall attached to the necklace he wore around his neck. The challenge had a very tense look in his eyes as he ordered for his Nidoking to use a Horn Attack. The giant purple Pokemon ramed into Rhydon with its sharp hord.

Rhydon stretched out its arm and grabbed onto Nidoking's horn. It lifted Nidoking into the air and threw it into the wall. The challenger agrily returned Nidoking into a PokeBall. But, instead of red-and-white, this ball was green-and-white. Lilly guessed that it must've been a Great Ball because it had a G on the ball.

Now, the trainer took out a regular Pokemon and threw it into the arena. The ball exploded and an orange tall dog-like Pokemon appeared in a flash of white light. This Pokemon was the evolved form of Growlithe, Arcanine.

The challenger's new Pokemon opened its mouth and a star shaped blast of fire shot out toward Rhydon. The Fire Blast attack hit Rhydon directly but it appeared to have no damage. The horn on Rhydon's nose began to spin and it ran toward Arcanine. Its spinning horn attack furiously and knocked Arcanine backwards.

The gym leader returned his Rhydon and declared that he had won the battle. The challenger returned his knocked out Arcanine and headed to leave. He ran into Lilly and told her not to battle him. The gym leader turned to Lilly and asked her if she wanted to battle. Lilly denied and walked away.

Outside in Viridian City, Lilly began to look around for the trainer that had battled the gym leader. Giving up, she walked into the Pokemon Center and found him at the counter. Nurse Joy was giving him some PokeBalls. Two of them must've been his Nidoking and Arcanine.

The trainer turned around and saw Lilly. Lilly introduced herself to the boy and the boy told her that his name was Gary Oak. He said that he was the grandson of Professor Oak. Lilly complimented Gary on his battle and he said the gym leader is the best one in the Kanto region. He said he just needs the Viridian City gym badge to enter the Pokemon League.

Lilly was impressed and said that she had a lot of catching up to do. Gary said that maybe they'd face each other in the future and that he would look forward to it. After that, he left Lilly. Lilly stood there and stared at thin air for a while. It seemed that the Viridian City gym would just have to wait for later. She walked out of the giant Pokemon Center and looked north.

She walked through Viridian City again, looking at all the fascinating buildings that had flashy billboards attached to them, advertising stuff from new clothes to everything a good Pokemon trainer needed. Lilly looked through one of the stores and found some stuff that she found could be useful during her Pokemon journey. She paid the lady behind the counter for the supplies she had purchased.

All set and rested up, Lilly stood on the northern border of Viridian City. She looked ahead and saw the darkly shaded areas of Viridian Forest. Soon, she would be heading through this forest on her way to Pewter City, the new town on her way to becoming a Pokemon master. Lilly took one last look at Viridian City and headed north to Viridian Forest, and even more adventures in the world of Pokemon.

~Chapter 4~

Lilly had finally arrived at Viridian City and rested up at the Pokemon Center to get ready to challenge the Viridian City Pokemon Gym Leader. But when she got to the gym, she saw an amazing battle between some very powerful Pokemon and a very great trainer be defeated so Lilly decided she could come back to it later and she continued her adventures to the Viridian Forest.

~

Lilly walked along the path of Viridian Forest, looking at the map Professor Oak had given her when she started out. According the map, the town on the other side of the Viridian Forest, Pewter City, had a Pokemon Gym. She sighed, putting the map away and hoping the gym leader wouldn't be as strong as the Viridian City gym leader.

The thought of it brought that mysterious trainer to her mind. Lilly never found out who the gym leader was because he was hidden in shadows on his balcony. But, whoever he was, he was very powerful for sure. The gym leader had defeated a trainer with seven gym badges. Lilly, who didn't have any, was sure she'd be defeated worse than Gary, the challenger who she saw defeated.

In the west, the golden sun began to set in the clear blue sky, turning it a rather darkish orange. Lilly decided to get camp set up before it was too dark to see so she took off two red-and-white PokeBalls from her belt and tossed them into the air, releasing her two Pokemon, Charmander and Rattata. Together, they set out to find something to eat.

It only to a couple of minutes before they found a giant tree that grew several different berries. Some of the berries Lilly hadn't even seen before. Rattata was the first to investigate. It climbed up into the tree and munched on a bright red berry. Charmander soon joined Rattata in eating the berries. Lilly decided they must be save if Charmander and Rattata ate them.

She picked a few berries and put them into the bag that hung off her shoulders and Charmander held some of them in its hands. Rattata climbed down the tree onto Lilly's shoulder and they walked around, looking for a place to spend the night. They soon found a big tree that shaded a huge area.

Lilly opened her bag and unrolled her yellow sleeping bag and placed the berries they had collected on it. She sat with Charmander and Rattata and began to eat some of the berries with them. After about a half of an hour, they finished the berries as the sky began to turn pitch black. Lilly slipped into her sleeping bag and her Pokemon joined her on the ground. Lilly smiled at them and all three of them soon fell asleep. The second day of Lilly's Pokemon Journey had come to an end.

~

That morning, the sun crept across the sky and caused light to flash threw Lilly's eyelids. Lilly slowly opened her heavy eyelids and sat up. A new day had arrived. She crawled out of her sleeping bag and packed it away into her sleeping bag. After pitching her bag over her shoulders, Lilly bent over and woke Charmander and Rattata up.

Lilly decided that they should search for more Pokemon in the Viridian Forest. They started walking around the forest, all searching in different areas. Suddenly, Rattata disappeared into a bush. Lilly and Charmander, wondering what Rattata was doing, approached the bush that Rattata had went into. As suddenly as it had went in, Rattata reappeared, wrestling a bug-like creature to the ground.

Taking out her PokeDex, Lilly found out that this cattipillar was a Pokemon called Caterpie. Rattata was already on the attack, using a Tackle attack that sent Caterpie flying through the air. It then attempted another attack and dashed at Caterpie with a Quick Attack but Caterpie was too quick and stopped Rattata in its tracks with a String Shot.

Caterpie then got up and collided into Rattata with its own Tackle attack. Rattata rebounded and ran toward Caterpie with its mouth open. Rattata bit Caterpie with a Hyper Fang attack. Caterpie shrieked in pain and struggled to escape Rattata's grip. It finally did and bounded toward Rattata with another Tackle attack. Rattata launched itself toward Caterpie with its own Tackle.

The two battling Pokemon collided with eachother and fell backwards in two different directions. Rattata quickly got to its feet but Caterpie struggled a bit before getting up. Rattata got ready for its next attack but Caterpie collapsed before Rattata could release it. Lilly took the operatunity and threw an empty PokeBall at the fainted Caterpie.

The tiny ball hit Caterpie and opened up. A red beam shot out and Caterpie disappeared into the PokeBall in a flash of red light. The ball began to wobble with Caterpie's attempts to escape the ball's containment. But it only took a couple minutes to stop and the red light in the center of the ball went out and turned white.

Rattata stood beside Lilly, looked at the PokeBall that now contained Caterpie in triumph. Lilly walked over and picked it up. Charmander smiled at the ball and Lilly tossed it into the air. In a flash of white light, Caterpie appeared, panting. Then, it looked happily at its new trainer and teammates. Lilly sat down against a tree and watched her three Pokemon play together.

After a while, Lilly called her Pokemon back to her and told them that they should be going to get to Pewter City. She took out their PokeBalls and returned them in three flashes of red light. Lilly then attached the balls to her belt and began to walk north, looking ahead to more adventure, Pokemon and challenges in the journeys that lay before her.

Sorry I haven't updated it lately. Hopefully, I can get to Chapter 5 this afternoon. Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about it.
